On the other hand, if a squad mate has died in the suicide mission, keep them dead, NO resurrections. INCLUDING SHEPHERD. If our Shep dies, keep them dead in our import. Instead let us control whomever was the successful squad leader or second in command. If Garrus was our squad leader, let us control Garrus, if Miranda was our squad leader, let us control Miranda for example.
For me it makes no sense to lose 'our' Shep in ME2 and still have a Shep (even if it is not our custom Shep) in ME3. That would really really break the immersion for me.

As it is supposedly going to be a epic ending to a kick azz trilogy, take your time with ME 3. Get it right, make it large and even more cinematic, let us keep all squad mates that live through the suicide mission, let us bring back squad mates from ME 1 that are still alive. If we need an army to battle these foes, let us have the army.

Bioware has already said that if your Shepard died in ME2 you can't import that file at all.

more crew members (hopefully a Vorcha and a Batarian (one of them female to make it intesting))
maybe that Varren who took a liking to Shepard as a party member (or at least a pet on the ship, whom if the reapers send agents to invade your ship again, he saves 1 of the crew members who would normally die)
more upgrdes, weapons, abilities, RPG elements, places to go, stuff to buy, character upgrades having a visual difference on the character (seriously, can we get this at the very least, i want them to look as powerful as they are)
a epic sequence at the end, your fleet consisting on people you helped and alliances you made (save the council in 1, Salarians, Asari, and Turians more inclines to help, let the Rachni Queen live, she send some Rachni to help, Legion's geth help. etc.)
overall i want major impacts on my game from my actions in mass effect 1 and 2.

Why not just make ME3 an MMO or an MMO like game that is just single player PvE.
We are all asking for more customization, characters, more stories, etc. Heck, even make it subscription based, I would GLADLY pay a subscription for a Mass Effect MMO in less than a heart beat. It would allow for the continual addition of areas, planets, races, stories, weapons, gear, etc that we all crave. It's probably a dream, but a man can wish...

2. Make available cover more organic. Randomly placed crates everywhere you go works on a fundamental level, but they aren't very compelling. Pillars, trees, cars, tables you knock over when moving into cover against them, etc.
3. Environmental destructability that goes beyond "fragile crate" and "explosive crate/canister". I'd love to see objects in the environment that actually react to bullets! Bottles/glasses, monitors, food, etc. Even furniture. Also, destrucible cover. If I, or an enemy, is hiding behind a piece of plate glass, it should not be eternally indestructable.
4. Environmental traps & puzzles. This was explored a little bit in the overlord dlc, but I think it would be great to see it expanded upon. Two examples: Bring down a girder with Pull or cause a forklift to plow into an enemy using Overload. Variety, Bioware. Variety. For puzzles, perhaps have an alternate path that is only available if the player or their squad have the powers available to solve a puzzle. This could help keep subsequent playthroughs fresh.
If I have more ideas I'll post them. But for now, bed.

A Mass Effect MMO would be something Id support as well, but ME3 should not be it.
We need to finish the story our own way before getting everyone elses grubby greasy hands on it.

The armour system itself wasn't bad... it just shouldn't have been used for armour; the best statistical armour pieces could look horrible together, but the guns are all about the performance, it's hard to imagine people complaining that the best scope/sight etc. combinations look horrible.
I've mentioned something similar before in this thread, but armour should be a mix ME2 and KOTOR. Still fit all the pieces individually, but don't attach stats to the pieces, use different armor/mesh attachments (KOTOR) or something similar to determine the stats.
Also, less scanning, achieve that by less costly upgrades? I get wanting to stop people being too powerful too quickly, perhaps the starting tanks can only carry 5,000 of each resource, but get upgraded to 10,000/20,000/50,000 at specific points in the game so that people can't get the best upgrades until later in the game, instead of simply scan-grinding to up their materials.

OPTIONS, STATS and CUSTOMIZATION
Okay here's the deal. Just played ME1 and ME2.
Things I loved about each
Weapons: ME1 customizable weapons, IMPORTANT: STATS are important I don't know about you but I like to see what I'm using. ME 2 sucked for weapon info. I liked the weapons loadout in ME 2, but there should be mission projections that allow you to properly choose weapons and armor and teammates, and allow you to carry two different types of ammo per person. and be selectable throughtout each mission. I want fully customizable weapons, IE scopes, ammo, short/long distance mods, shotgun slugs instead of buckshot style, also special ammunition for only sniper rifles, IE Mass effect ammunition that possibly decimates shields, armor or just act as a concussive shot (which is BA)
Armor: ME1 Customizable armor, with branding makes it cool. But again ME 2 sucked with that department, I loved the ability to piece together the suit in ME 2 and color, but really how hard would it be to add some more patterns and allow you place ucable points into customizable fields like shields, health, armor, agility, speed, and biotic boosts. Scratch the full suits of armor they're eh. never equipped them. again full on customization, and the most effective helmets looked retarded.
Locations: ME1 I liked the Citadel One stop shop, make it bigger again, and make rapid transit more common than ME1 a lot like ME2, but more side quest like ME1. I believe there needs to be more exo-geni activity in ME 3; IE cloning facilities. It's fun exploring F'd up stuff. Also with the planet mining/probing That took way too much time and frankly sucked. If we're gonna mine that stuff, allow us to trade it on world markets and sort of play the stock market so to speak. So we can make money as well as build upgrades, I like the need to build things atleast it creates a purpose to the resources. I think you should either buy or find schematics a lot like ME 2, but have info on required resources and tangible effects. IE: The ship upgrades done in ME 2, did they actually do anything? we didn't do any kind of fighting with the ship.
Council: I liked the council interaction in ME1 in ME 3 I'd like to argue with those bastards. like F you the reapers do exist. Be able to allow harm to come to them or save them again. if you let them live in ME1, or by ME3 there's a whole new council. consisting of every alien race.
Missions: More mutli team missions, those kick ass. massive fighting, love the massive husk battles in ME2 those were intense. possibly some space station invading/intrusion. Loved the ME2 massive team, please don't just disperse the team again, the "Legion" had better still be there, as well as Miranda, Tali, Thane atleast right away, maybe recruit thanes kid later. Garrus and could be replace dramatically in an initial fight that you actually get to participate in, and there needs to be a meeting between Aria T'loak and T'soni, and one of them will join your crew as intelligence providers. for possible missions. as you become good or bad be able to take special missions geared towards that, like pirating or killing pirates, slave trading, or hunting slave colonies, computer hacking to actually cause harm or reverse hacking to find hackers. When it comes to hacking too, we really need more diversity, I liked the circuit board thing, but they need to be random. somehow make the hacking more of a puzzle than just matching things in a certain amount of time. wish I had more ideas for the puzzles.
Abilities: I think a biotic ability to make weapons overheat temporarily disabling them would be a nice addition, "Slam" was a very nice addition/ I didn't pay attention but there should be the option to get a heavy option of any power and a group version as well. definitely makes the game more entertaining. I used Slam and took Samara and Jack with me and mainly used biotics to just rip people apart, it was awesome. I want more of that for sure.
Also I think you should be able to develop as you see fit. Be able to choose 3 weapons per mission and be able to equip whatever you want. I think that when an ability can include a group of people or objects, you should be able to bash two or more people or objects together. HAHA that would be hilarious and you know you'd use it. Also if you throw someone or something it should hit other people and knock them down. Also make the people more animated when you slam them into things. also make an ability that lasts longer as you evolve, but be able to grab someone or something and slam them twice or throw and pull sequentially in one motion. basicllay be able to do two things, like lift and pull, lift and throw, lift and slam, slam and throw. You get it.
Animation: let's get down to it, I want to be able to dismember limbs heads etc. That's entertaining and this games mature, let's see it. doesn't really need to be crazy gory. just graphic. also when biotics are concerned be able to tear people apart, make examples of people during conversation. nut shots. those are always hilarious. also when you do dismember someone, they won't die right away, let em keep fighting. make having to finish off enemies, that is awesome.
DISC 1 DISC 2, Can we just install the second disc next time, who doesn't own atleast a 60gb by now. please no more disc switching. lame even though rare.
That's all I think these are all reasonable expectations and ideas.
hopefully this meets the makers.

Also! 'Zdes' Nichego net!' and the Great Rift Valley on Klendagon.
Please, for the love of god and all that is holy, make them visible. I would love to see stuff like that on a planet's surface!
The phrase: 'Zdes' Nichego net!' in Russian is written like this: Здесь ничего нет! I'm from Russia and it was fun to see it in the game.
In the ME1 were stars systems named in honor of the first man in space: Gagarin, the first woman cosmonaut: Tereshkova, as well as famous American astronauts. Nice that the developers seriously think about the world game.

In ME1 Reapers in Russian sounded like "Пожинатели" and in ME2 they called "Жнецы"
"Пожинатели" - is more artistic interpretation and sounds more sinister than the "Жнецы". If it is possible to localize ME3 return name "Пожинатели" for Reapers for the Russian language.

2nd idea: Let us tint the armours with different colours e.g. black white red etc with a slider
It would be cool if it could be patched into ME1 and ME2 as well really, more screenshots of people thinking the game/characters look cool = more publicity for you

Bring back the entire Citadel as well.
Keep the inventory like this (or have minor changes, ME1 was ridiculous, I had a huge amount of guns and it didn't really matter.
Combine the squads from ME1 and ME2.
That's what I'm hoping for so far.

2. Keep the ammo system.
3. Try to minimize load screens (I liked elevators for that reason... bring them back... but use more variety... like shuttles, trains, etc)
4. Removable helmets for DLC armor.
5. Make all armor modular.
6. Integrate mission levels/locations into the gaming world. Make sure you can go back (maybe have small easter eggs when you return), and re-use key locations (you visit a district of an earth city to buy/sell/etc and later in the game it is being invaded and you are fighting enemies... like ME1).
