heck, any RPG will have random events while exploring.

Maybe at random... VERY somewhat often, you get a distress becaon in the system you just entered, to get a ship that was attacked, and geth are aboard, everyone dead.

Like in DA or any rpg, RANDOM EVENTS. :P

Cargo Ship attacked, everyone dead, geth aboard.

Cargo Ship Attacked, everyone dead, pirates (blue suns, batarian, eclipse etc)

Cargo Ship attacked hostage rescue.

Derelict Ship, random scavenging, get logbook, turn it in to authorities so they can find out what happended.

Do not know if they will bringback plaent exploring, if so nvm this, if not, MANY MANY MANY more random anomalies pirates raiding bases, hostage rescue, w/e.

I mean is an RPG... is Bioware... random events while exploring should be part of ME3. Makes it nicer, doubt the terminus systems are so peaceful nothing is ever heard beyond a couple of ships attacked... many more would be nicer. Dont have to tie in into story, just random....We can disregard them with no additional reward nor penalty, but substantial credits, and resources found on board... on top of enemies to fight. Makes fight always be there regardless of the game status,(beginining middle or finished)

I'm on board with reworked inventory and armor and whatnot. Hugely on board with better non-combat animations. Would like to see bigger city areas to explore later in the game; in both ME1 and ME2, the coolest city was the one you saw right at the beginning, and I kept looking forward to finding the next cool city, and I never got to see it.

Don't care to have random encounters at all.

I would like to see the old Citadel return, the one with the Presidium and Citadel Tower!

Not just the Zakera Ward, it didn't feel like the old Citadel at all...

To be honest, I miss the elevators! Posted Image

bring back the presidium from ME1, and add LOTS of accessable wards.

and loading screen issue, make it so that you can access your journal, squad, codex, and inventory in the loading screens. Then you have something to do during loading screens.

I would really appreciate xbox 360 controller support on the PC version. Sometimes I want to kick back when exploring/shopping/chatting since I don't need the precision of a mouse for such things.

My friend and I wear discussing Mass Effect related things we would like to see in the future. Some of these ideas branch beyond the game.

Codex iPod app:

My friend and I were trying to remember the name of a few enemies in Mass Effect 2 one day, and the idea was brought up about a Codex app for the iPod. Just like it is in the game, with everything from Mass Effect 1 and 2, and of course what is to come from ME 3.

Shepard's Mannerisms:

Although Shepard's actions increased from 20 actions to 200, it seems as though we see many of the same actions repeated and repeated, and repeated. Additionally, I have to agree with the above poster's mention of the male Shepard's running vs. the female Shepard's running and how they were different in ME1 and the same in ME2.

Sword:

In both my many playthroughs of ME1 and ME2, close combat never seemed to be a pivotal point or even life-saving action in intense combats. Even though there were strength boosting items and upgrades in both games, there was a part of it that didn't feel significant. If there were to be some sort of a combat weapon that could take the place of a heavy weapon, I would be happy. And to incorporate power cells, the weapon could be energized--dealing significant damage and making up for be so short ranged! I'll admit the flame thrower in ME2 was nice at dealing with husk swarms, but a sword would just feel so righteous.

DLC transfer:

Now I hope you all forgive me for not reading the past 200 pages of posts, so I apologize if this has already been posted.

Unless there is a big plot shift in ME 3 (as there was from ME1 to ME2) I would like to see certain DLCs transfer over or somehow affect minor situations in ME 3. DLC Armours and weapons are what i was thinking of at first, but perhaps others like Zaeed and Kasumi. Maybe they decided to stick with you (if you got their loyalty)! Just an idea.

But I would hate to see my Blackstorm gun and Arc Projector gone if something life altering didn't happen. If Shepard dies again and the normandy is blown up again, yeah, i could understand it. but if the game just starts as it left off... ... ... give me my armours and guns back!

Customizing weapons:

Bioware, you have shown you can do it with armour... would it be too much to ask if we could have the option to customize our weapons?

- Paint our weapons: colours, patterns, colour the little lights on them? Because, let's be honest, who here didn't like a weapon they were carrying because it didn't match their amour?

- custom mods: gun stocks that reduce recoil, laser sights that boost accuracy slightly, extended heat sink reserves, bayonets to boost melee damage??? It's time to make our weapon, OUR weapon.

More Hammerhead:

It was a nice addition. and even though there were 5 very nice missions, it still felt like a catfish in a goldfish-sized bowl--It needed more room!

ME1's Mako and world exploration was in many cases, overkill--too much driving. ME2, not enough. I feel ME3 would benefit greatly if it found that beautiful middle ground.

Bringing the surviving 12 man squad(including DLC charecters) from ME2 and the surviving squad from ME 1 back for ME3.

Since she was my favorite charecter Liara back w/Singularity would be helpful.

Increase the max level of charecters.Give the squad more powers. And it seems that the squad does less weapon damage then Shep.

Being able to sell excess resources.

Hopefully we can carry over and add reasearch in ME3.

Give us more AR SG HP and SMGs.

More loot and $.

Bring back the map from ME1.

Expand the Citadel.

Having random battles every 4 secs is why final fantasy is so long and I get really tired of it there are only so many times you need to fight random guys I hated the 5th fleet calling me every other galaxy to do something for them I'd hate it if every other sector had a raid or attack to deal with.

As far as on planet side when roaming about I like the wide open terrine but a few battles could be had there in ME1 random Threser Maws did add to the planet life but beyond that there wasn't too much going on weather its some random wildlife coming after you or pirates in the wrong place that'd add some flavor to the wide open space.

No swords there is no place for swords maybe a combat knife though could work and I do miss the grenades.

Bringing the DLC with you would be good

I liked another persons idea of giving you 40 characters to recruit for the final mission but only being able to choose 15 of them or so this way you really need to know who you trusted before and what they can bring to the table for you now.

Could we recruit a Rachni to fight with us as a new squad member?

I think all ME1 characters ( who lived), all ME2 characters (who lived) and brand new characters for ME3 should be used I know a lot of people but if you could only use so many in the end and you choose those people it'd be way better also it would definitely add to the re playability of the game that is so important to it

And with the choice of hand picking on your own who makes it in and who will play a secondary assisting role in the final battle it changes the crews dynamic those you picked may not get along with one another.

And some characters depending on your background may not be available for your particular shepard to choose from like say you choose he survived Midior well most likely Shep hates Batarians then so if a batarian ally comes up in ME3 Shep will not be able to recruit him or if the does you two get on each other's nerves alot.

But if you choose you survived Akuze then that Batarian is recruitable and gets along fine with you as a commanding officer.

I think everyone has mentioned most of my wish list items (most including major plot devices and the like). So, I'll name some small things instead:

- I'd love to meet Conrad Verner's wife. (lol)

- More expressions for Commander Shepard. I do tire of seeing a bland-faced/expressionless Shepard pistol whipping someone.

- Mention of Cerberus' involvement in Akuze (especially if this was your chosen background), for goodness sakes.

- A meeting with Garrus' father. Would be quite interesting imo.

- A run-in with Miranda's father.

- (Assuming she lives and after her oath ends), Samara coming after a Renegade Shepard.

- Shepard caught alone and weakened in a desperate situation (yet overcoming it, of course). I'm aiming more toward a more personal/emotional Shepard here, i.e., 'locker incident.'

- Earth! With the reaction of fellow crew mates.

- NO MORE HEELS, PLEASE. Or ridiculous, skin tight combat wear for that matter. My crew should be fully armored like me.

- Significance of Shepard's new implants/cyber parts. I always felt that people should have had more of a reaction when seeing/talking with a Renegade Shepard (complete with red, glowing eyes). Perhaps even Shepard's own take on it. I want to know how it affects Shepard, the crew, NPCs, etc.

- Squad mate banter/interaction.

Definitely agree with coathanger's suggestion for more customization.

Yeah Samara hunts Renegade Shep that'd be awesome!

Now that you mention it...NPCs should react to evil Shep like scream and runaway and if you're good they mob you!

Even though you're on a technically civilian ship now why can't they armor up when going on missions where fighting is involved? Also space suits for vacuum exposure I mean I died in a hard suit in space and they get clothing?! Not consistent.

I like the idea of a locker incident, kidnapping, something to have a more emotional Shepard right now he /she is too unfeeling too heroic icon status always Shepard the Commander not Shepard the person.

Battling Miranda's dad would work if she was your LI and this was your defining love loyalty mission if you didn't romance Miranda you would not fight her dad.

Playing up on the cybernetics always cool I liked the weakened Hacked Shepard I hope they continue to play up ways like this. maybe the reapers can hack you and force a good to go evil and an evil to just plain start killing his squad mates!

I really am not asking for anything too much here, and while it has probably been brought up before, a simple request.

Inventory/weapons system is fine as is. Wading through all that USELESS junk in the first game was just plain annoying. Something that would add a bit to the weapons system is "add-ons" to the weapons, such as scopes to improve aim, and better stocks to reduce recoil. Not an overwhelming about, maybe just one or two per weapons to add variety.

For armor, like everyone else asks, just have helmets as separats pieces of gear, or at least disable them during conversation. I don't know. Something. Drinking through the helmets was kinda silly, but I like the sound effect when you have one on. Make it toggle out of battle maybe?

Lastly PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring Kahlee Sanders to Mass Effect 3, even if it is a tiny role where she has a handful of lines or a simple quest. I loved the little reference to the 2nd book in the 2nd game. I'd love to see her animated. With the ending of the 3rd book it looks highly possible, I'd just really like to see this :)

Keep up the great stuff Bioware. ME2 was a masterpiece. Don't let the haters change the game too much!

That

And I’d like them to add a mission to ME:2 before the first Normandy gets blown up
that shows you why Cerberus is bad

As for ME 3 well I want I dark story line where humanity has
to choose between saving our selves or sacrificing our selves to save the aliens

No, what I mean is keep the "exploring" of ME2. And random, "anomalies" in space are detected, if you leave the system without "investigating" once you return it dissapears. Is not necessary, and there is no penalty for not doing it. But keeps an endless stream of enemies everywhere.

Never eneidng enemies even if the game has ended.

Diversity of them, might be geth, might be pirates, might be mercs.

Gives you money and resources.. and if they bring inventory back(*HINT) then weapons etc.

But since they aren't usualy, make them tough, real tough.

You dont have to do em, but reward is there.

depends on the shep. my shep wouldn't breakdown and cry... she'd just go to a bar, get in a barfight, kick everyone's ass, then kick some baby varren and space conrad

- Earth! With the reaction of fellow crew mates.

why earth has not been available is beyond me

- NO MORE HEELS, PLEASE. Or ridiculous, skin tight combat wear for that matter. My crew should be fully armored like me.

please put more heels especially for femshep, some of us like seeing girls fight off hordes of enemies in heels, it makes them more badass, and the more badass a girl is the sexier she is

One thing I would *love* to see, given how immersive the Mass Effect universe is - a wedding between Shepard and his/her romantic interest at the *very* end of ME3, as a nice little way of tying it up.

That, and the Quarian's faces.

I really want them to have a more complex tech tree for powers and talents.

For instance, lets say you want to develop your ammo tech, when you reach a certain level for that ammo, you can branch off into, lets say, incendiary or cryo ammo. Whichever one you choose, you stay with, and the cryo branch of the tech tree cannot be selected.

The weapons training would remain absent, as it was in ME2, as I feel that was nothing more than a exp sink. But a weapon customization system would replace it, similar to the modular armor from ME2. Different pieces would increase sight, range, stability, damage, etc.

To go along with it, the level cap would be raise back to 60, or maybe even higher, 80 or 100 even. And there would be special powers and talents that could only be reached by getting to higher levels, helping with the replay value of individual characters.

3 basic but crucial mini-wishes:

1) fix the walking animations: femShep's animation was clearly just ripped from manShep's, and both walk like their heads are being controlled by a separate puppeteer who's constantly trying to make them look in the totally opposite direction to which they are walking. ME1 handled them both brilliantly.

2) TOGGLE HELMET!

3) add a pause function during cut scenes. I was playing Red Dead Redemption and realised I could pause during cut scenes and it was the one thing that made me realise the devs had actually had a good long think about game play. Yeah, cut scenes are often only a minute or two long, but we don't all play games in our bedrooms with no one else around: I'm 32, I play when I have time, and sometimes the phone rings, or someone comes to the door, and I need to be able to stop immediately and attend to that. Being able to pause during a cut scene seems like such a basic and obvious point it's utterly beyond me why it's not included already.

I believe that ME2 did fine without the Mako and have not used the Hammerhead so I have no idea what it handles like but I agree that vehicles should return in ME3. It was thrilling to land on an uncharted world and explore it. My wishlist for ME3 consists of stronger RPG elements, Returning squad members from both ME1 and ME2 (especially Thane, Legion, Wrex, Garrus and Tali),a mining system that is faster and more interesting, more customisation, an inventory system with no limit to what you can hold and more weapons in each class, but that's just me.

I agree with Halofel, a marriage scene between Shepard's love intrest would be great. I would love to see my Shepard turning to see Tali walking down the aisle, removing her mask and finally seeing what's underneath before going in for a kiss. I also think a pause function during cutscenes would be great. You can miss a great cutscene just by running to the toilet.

On the topic of the Hammerhead, I'd like to be able to see the shield status of it and not rely on waiting to hear alarms. I could see the shields on the Mako, I can see my shield status and that of my squad, why not the Hammerhead? Seems like a step backwards tbh. I understand it can ramp up the tension somewhat, but really, it's out of sync with the rest of the game. It makes it feel less realistic.

That being said, while it has a rather steep learning curve and is a little too 'bouncy' (in that, it suffers from the same uncontrollability of the Mako when you hit something), I quite like the Hammerhead, and I think it has the potential to be a great Mako replacement for more thoroughly exploring worlds.
