better for which crew-mate, what to sell, or if many items are piling up and so on. Presence of inventory requires in my POV more time spent messing around w/ it. I also like the way you can spend your points.
- deadlier powers, when maxed out
- ME3 should have more prototypes since all the galaxy is preparing for the reapers (let's hope so, for the moment)
You'll have to convince them first, since council again might not believe ... well but you retrieved those schematics from Collector base.. ahh we'll see.
- music is said to make 70% of the movies experience, make it count boys
As I see very little difference between movie and ME in general (don't get me wrong ME is something more than a movie-like experience, since you can make all the decisions) I can only say.. make it beautiful, heroic, epic, rememberable melodies... focus on developing those melodies even more. I loved Normandy Rising, but it should be longer.
- better organized upgrades overview
Something like that human outline (as in old RPGs) showing what's in your hand, what's on your head, etc.
The current list-like overview is kinda,... well... let's just say, ME3 deserves better. Somethink more graphical and structurised.
- upgrades to normandy + screen w/ upgrades (showing normandy schematic serving as an overview of what you have installed)
Some staged upgrades (like weapons in ME2). Accesses from research terminal in Mordins lab.
- spacefights w/ Normandy (Normandy didn't get to use that thatix cannon very much... just a few shots in the end of ME2)
- abitlity to pursue your relationship with Liara (from ME1)
Afterall Liara will be the center of the upcomming DLC - Lair of the Shadowbroker.
So I think there could be some twist in the story and following from it, some possibilities of recruiting her back (since she could be finished w/ Shadow Broker) or if not,
Shephard could come by her office from time to time and... sort of get closer with her. (Possibly some badass missions for Liara again? who knows)
AND/OR
She could still work for Shephard (he as her "exclusive" client), as info-trader. Afterall Shephard will be on his own and will need someone to be on his side (provided you turned your back on Cerberus in ME2), someone w/ wide network of connections giving him heads-up, keeping him posted. Marriage when all is over (it doesn't have to be over entirely, in ME3 you would thwart the reaper invasion in ME4 you could possibly seekout the roots of Reapers and burn them for good, never to return... but it's just my idea) is a great idea. It would do justice to your relationship (only for Paragons though, Renegades are more like one-night stand and goodbye. You could than watch various love scenes anytime you'd wanted, hahaha
- I wanna know how Tali looks like under the hood
I mean, all we see are Quarians locked up in those suits. I'd like to help them cure their imunity issues or something. Or at least see how they look. I really can't imagine what they look like.
- Geth should play significant role in ME3
they were given the time to process the virus (at least i desided so when playing), so we'll see. maybe they'll help you out in the end and Quarians won't look so bad in the galactic community in the end.
- EARTH MUST BE IN ME3
It's the main focus of the Reapers. That's were that defient race comes from, that Reapers want to destroy. (It's my belief that they do. Well who else they would want to destroy first more than Earth, source of those humans who are giving them hell-of-a-fight in galactic history so far. Afterall Reapers wanted to humiliate humans already in ME2 by building that human-reaper thing and unleashing it.)
That's about all I can think of right now.
Cheers, Jacob

I agree with Halofel, a marriage scene between Shepard's love intrest would be great. I would love to see my Shepard turning to see Tali walking down the aisle, removing her mask and finally seeing what's underneath before going in for a kiss. I also think a pause function during cutscenes would be great. You can miss a great cutscene just by running to the toilet.
I would definately love a marriage scene BUT I think it should be optional just to please other players. BUT a requirement should be that you only have 1 romance (you either stay loyal to your LI in ME1 or you did not romance with anyone in ME1 and choose to romance in ME2.) And your Shepard would have to be imported from ME1 to ME2 and then ME3.
As Inventory systems, I think it should remain similiar to ME2. But I would prefer to have some more armor and guns. Seemed rather limited in ME2.
More dialogue with Squad Mates would be nice as well.
More intimate moments with LI (not just a romance scene) would be welcome.
NO VEHICLES (Like the Mako)

Nearly everything I wanted to have adjusted in the first game was fixed in the second.
My tips for making a better Mass Effect would be:
#1, If your able to get stuck on top of boxes or 'things', at least let the players able to fall off of 'things'
#2, When scanning for minerals have an overview similar to a heat vision to show where the hot spots are rather than having to spin the planet around a bunch of times. Scanning for minerals was a good touch but why make it take alot more time.
#3, Make more types of hacking mini-games. it reminds me of something like wario ware or something. It's just for more variety.
#4, This one is crucial. Make the game decisions open and close quest doors so that there is more replayability. I don't want to have access to all the quests in the entire game in one playthrough.
#5, Please make voice logs for all quests including the extra ones. Some places where your reading a data pad felt completely out of place because they didn't update the journal. Side quests from Mass Effect were much more boring than the sequal either way.
#6, I would be happy with less extra quests being released with the game if the main story based quests had longer durations. Mass Effect 2 main and side quests were excellent but I would have enjoyed more combat to complete each of them.
#7, I would like to see a larger commitment for Mass Effect DLC than any of the previous Bioware games. Give me something like NWN's extra content or more. I would gladly pay $15 a month to continue the Mass Effect saga if we're going to keep similar production values of Mass Effect 2.

I can already tell you without being a part of the Bioware team at all that Geth and the Rachni will definitely play a part in Mass Effect 3.
If you haven't played Mass Effect 1 you may not know much about the Rachni but there was a teaser e-mail and delivered message likely depending on Mass Effect 1 decisions.

Bioware please keep these but go back to ME1 and look at what made it great. The powers in ME2 are pretty cool but you only get 4 for your team? What the hell is up with that? In ME1 you could have 8 and go back to managing cooldown of powers not this dumb global cooldown. Jack is meant to be a great biotic but she’s got the worst’s power in the game.
Bring back the inventory system and the xmods but also keep the tech lab. Weapons choices were too streamlined. You ended up with a handful of weapons, each of which had one or two variants. The choices are even fewer than the small numbers might imply. In the case of the handgun, shotgun and assault rifle, there was always only one good choice. Which heavy weapons choice mattered a little more, as did the choice of sniper rifle. Even the sniper rifle choice devolved to the choice between the really heavy gun with limited ammo and the rapid fire, semi-automatic sniper rifle with a bigger clip. If a game like Borderlands taught us anything, it taught us that inventory can be cool, as can a huge variety of weapons. I don’t suggest that Mass Effect 3 emulate Borderlands in this way. But I would like to see more weapons, with upgrade slots, that are different in ways that make us want them – even if the actual stats of the weapon don’t vary much.
Also change the level up system back to ME1 style one point per power slot and give us back to level 60. Recapture the original game’s sense of place and the feel of covering huge distances. I’d like to see planetary exploration make a comeback. Ditch the minigames – especially the planetary scanning minigame. I do think that some way of crafting a lockpicking or hacking encounter is a good idea in the context of the Mass Effect universe. But really, match 3? That’s so… Bejeweled. Finally, make Mass Effect 3 space-operatic in scope. The first game had that feel; the second game felt smaller, and less important somehow. Let’s return to a galaxy of sweeping vistas and galaxy-spanning stories that feel like you’re part of something grand and epic.

that makes no sense
its called a trilogy because there will be 3 parts to the main story, to the big picture
just like star wars
the first trilogy is about the fall of the republic, and the upbringing of anakin skywalker
and the second is about destroying the empire, and stopping the sith
soooo....... A TRILOGY WILL ONLY EVER HAVE 3 PARTS! THATS WHY ITS CALLED A TRILOGY!
just to make that clear

I loved the Paragon/Renegade interrupt system in ME2. It would be nice to see that used a lot more frequently and also for certain abilities to be only open to certain alignments (or combinations of alignment, e.g. you need 50% Paragon and 50% Renegade to unlock it). Also if your alignment will allow you to access areas you wouldn't normally be able to. Rather than merely unlocking dialogue choices, the alignment should influence how certain people see you over all. Like, they won't even talk to you at all unless you're pretty chaotic and violent rather than there merely being a bonus dialogue option if you are.
As a more specific, personal thing - I will be incredibly disappointed if we don't get to see the Asari homeworld, and hopefully also the other major homeworlds.

Rifle colors, as well as armor colors in their totality.
exp: the 2nd bar of the armor color bar doesn't ave black, darkest one is grey.
And you can't cuztomize the armor lights. They always remain blue, except for differen't armors.

As far as marriage thats interesting but Tali would die or get sick w/o her mask maybe if you choose the option or rather they propose to you and you accept you have to be married however your LI species does it. If preconditions are required by said LI race then you have to do whatever they say and if not then a wedding in LI style would be neat to see this way you get to integrate more into the culture of your LI maybe after your wed their council or fleets call you up for missions to help them with?
If you refuse to marry them depending on the person they may / may not break up with you and no race specific missions would apply to your already large mission orders.
For power ups it was lame you only got so many I wanted more bonus or power attacks like Geth sheilds and Clock for instance I'd like two or more instead of having to learn one or the other.
Even though a trilogy means 3 look star wars hasn't ended they just keep beating people over the head with it until they like it (never did) If they do decide to branch out keeping the mass effect world but giving you new main characters to use it could end up like Star Wars Saga or Final Fantasy or Dynasty Warriors at some point you just need to stop making them...;
I do agree with the comment about bigger towns and exploration areas beyond where you battle like in Red Dead Redemption super open areas I get into random fights have to help random strangers and can go everywhere ( at least on the US side) within the first 5 minets of the game I also like how you can drop in and drop out of the story line at any time don't want to see the council right now? Go over to that space station and run all 15 levels of it shop, eat, kill people, save people, take down time with your LI then go back and try not to punch the council for being spineless jerks!

2) In cutscenes we have our weapons drawn if we had them drawn before entering the cutscenes. (Or if we did not have them drawn, leave them holstered unless attacked or threatining in the sence) Also, no random weapons appearing that we do not have. (for classes such as engineers there are some scenes where they have assult rifles equiped)

I agree with Sgt. Drifter, the weapon you were holding before entering a cutscene should be the one seen in the cutscene. I'm a huge pistol fan so I'd like to see Shepard holding the pistol in the cutscene and not running around with an assault rifle all over the place. Also, is it just me or has Bioware gone from one extreme to the other with their main enemy? In ME1 you couldn't turn the corner without 10 geth being there but in ME2 the Collectors were hardly ever fought. I think Bioware needs to get a steady balance in ME3.
Collectors are a rare, enigmatic race.
It wouldnt make sense to be encountering them all the time.

I would like to see the re-introduction of bio-amps and omni-tools
I would also like to be able to aquire unique items(weapons, armor pieces,upgrades/mods, bio-amps and omni-tools) through defeating bosses and sub-bosses
For helmets, there is no need for toggle, just make them collapsible(as has been discussed extensively already). And for all visors and open helms include a full helm variant for worlds with no atmo.
Anytime you find an upgrade during a mission add it to your usable upgrades, rather than giving you a schematic, and also unlock the schematic for the next level. Always unlock the next schematic(if there is one) when you either purchase, find, or research the current level, as well a level requirement could be placed as a pre-requisite on certain upgrages before they can appear in store, during a mission or be unlocked for research. This way the opportunity is always there to aquire all upgrades.
I would like to see a tactics system similiar to what is in DA for our squadmates, give each squad mate a couple unchangeble unique tactics only available to them, as well as several open slots so that we may define in what situations they are to use what powers and weapons (give all squad-mates a default set of tactics based on which powers they have for players who are not interested in getting to in-depth).
