Keep the EXP system and the upgrade system from ME 2

More squadmate powers

more weapons

maybe after completing the game you could get to chose an extra weapon insteed of an extra power

bring back the grenades

Grenades were extremly useful in ME1 and I think that sometimes you would sit back and think 'I could use a grenade right about now' but you didn't have any. They really do need to return. I also believe that there should be missions that can only be accessed after the main story has been completed.

Apart from having squadmates from ME1 & ME2 (maybe not all of them but many) I want one thing. And that is a choice to be able to sacrifice my Shepard in the end of ME3. There is nothing more epic than to make the greatest sacrifice to save the galaxy. Possibly a choice between you or some squadmate(s). Also since this will be the last ME game I hope they go crazy and we will have many sad moments when squadmates die throughout the campaign. These deaths may be due to Shepards actions/choices so the gulit will make him embrace his ultimate sacrifice in the end. Can't wait for ME3 :D

Also there is no need for loyalty missions for ME1 & ME2 people because clearly Shepard went to hell and back with them. With some even twice. So I guess that earned their friendship/loyalty/love ...

I'd prefer something inbetween star systems. If we're going to fly between them manually there should be something to find. Or display it as jumping between systems i.e. we point at a system and just fly there automatically with a cool graphic. Something more 3D would also be cool.

Considering our opponents in the third, if it could be done well I would welcome an opportunity to control the Normandy in combat.

I also miss the variety of weaponry from the first game. I wanted a more streamlined inventory system not the absence of it. The ability to replenish Heavy Weapon ammo also. I end up not using my Heavy Weapons at all trying to conserve. Having the grenades back is also a great idea. Let me target an opponent with it though.

As for leveling up going under the assumption that we'll be starting with what we have at the end of ME2 (thus justifying the low level cap) I want more powers. Cross training could be cool. For instance a soldier with the Infiltrator Cloak.

Any loyalty missions in 3 should be between new characters and ones your having a tough relationship with like Liara sense she's changed so much between 1 & 2 if she would need to show her loyalty to you but if there is anyone from ME2 ( tali and garrus included) no additional loyalty quest would be needed sense in those two's cases you already have done this twice for them.

What does anyone think about random prothean beacons? In 1 they did have you find ruins but most where either just sitting there or gave you text to read what if these random beacons for 3 would allow you to interact with them but then you have to play a mission inside whatever context they're about would anyone go for side quest like those?

I've said before about the Grenades. They were helpful.

The thing about ME1 weapons though, is that there were bad ones, and there were good ones. the HMWP X and that class, was obviously the best, with others (i can't remember) being the worst. And everyone would really be using the same weapon.

ME2 weapons give difference. Do you want power? or do you want speed?

Look how different the Viper is compared to the Mantis.

Or how the Vindicator is so different to the Avenger.

In ME1, they were all the same.

I want the Upgrades to return though. I had that Sniper Rifle upgrade that did 500% Damage, 500% Heat or something, so it overheated in one shot, but it was so powerful.

Oh yeah, bring back the weapon overheating. I don't like Thermal Clips. Seriously, who cares if you get people running down the Citadel (which they need to bring back) firing their Assault Rifle??? It's just pointless fun. :D

I remember Captain Anderson saying something like "It will take 5 years at least to get the Citadel back to how it was". So maybe it ME3 is set 5 years into the future then it will be back. Otherwise it won't be as big as it was.

2 years is a small amount of time. Especially for building... In space.

You guys have probably heard these to death in 200+ pages, but I think they bear repeating:

- Bring back grenades (and not as powers.)

- Take Unity off the cooldown so we can actually use it during a fight.

- We need a more fun minigame for the resource mining

- More hairstyles/faces/accessories

- More outfits/armor

- More to do on the Normandy besides run around and talk to people.

- Remove the fatigue from storming (fast running) when not in combat.

- Gay romances

That's all I've got for now.

From Recent events.....

Reasonable clip(heat sink) capacity.

Reasonable total amount of Ammo loads......

This refers to the hand cannon, the vindicator, and the new sweet on the outside, sour on the inside assault rifle.

I also think it would be nice if we were given sandbox environments but my only worry about that is how they would pass the time as the combat would eventually become boring.

I'm playing through the game for my eighth time, and I haven't gotten bored yet. I imagine that there are many others who have similar experiences. I suggested the sandbox environments precisely to increase the amount of options available to players so that they wouldn't get bored. Some people love the RPG elements of the series. Others just want to shoot things while enjoying the varied backdrop of this well-developed fictional universe. I think that introducing the sandbox gives both sets of players exactly what they want. The difficulty levels and types of challenges could vary on these planets as well.

What I really want to see: OMNI TOOLS!!

If
you read the codex in ME, the Omni tool is just that. A universal
tool. It would be great to see more uses for it, as opposed to being a
Biotic amp for tech powers. For example, when a unique opponent is
killed, you head to the body and scan with your omni tool. You find
that the weapon has a heavy barrel installed. These plans are stored in
your omni tool and any weapon of the same class may be fitted with this
mod. You would have to have enough omni gel available to fab the part.
This could accomplish a weapon mod system similar to the armor
system.  Weapon performance could still be improved overall using the
current method as well.  In addition, the armory could actually serve a
purpose.  Mods could be adapted to other weapon classes through
research, and the fabricated in the armory.  This could also work for
armor mods.  Add on pieces to the basic suit.  The off-hand ammo pack
could be an addition to any arm piece as opposed to being one on it
own.  It is just N7 armor with a pouch on it, right?

Certain
mods could then be installed in the field if Shepard or one of the squad
mates on the mission are of a specific specialization.  It would take
time to fabricate parts though, so a teammate would be inactive for a
period of time.  Any interuption wastes the omni gel and you would have
to start over. This also allows for different omni tools. One for fab
work, one for hacking/bypassing, and one with a long range scan
capability.

By the way, I like the current inventory system. I
hope it stays. It is difficult to fathom a soldier walking around with 2
spare assault rifles, 1 spare shotgun, 10 types of ammo, 8 weapon mods
AND a full suit of armor. I would just like a few more choices with my
weapons. Either that, or personalization.

Would anyone else like to weigh in on this?

I like your suggestion a great deal. It can already be assumed that some of the in-game functions (Codex, Journal) are using the Omni-tool in the fiction of the ME universe. However, it would certainly be intriguing for the potential usefulness of this device to be expanded further in the ways that you outlined.

I also prefer the simplified inventory system of ME2 to that of the preceding game. That being said....

General Ashous wrote...

We also need a bigger range of
weapons. In ME1 there were hundreds of weapons to choose from from each
group but in ME2 there were only 2 heavy pistols, for example. Sure,
hundreds weren't great but only 2 was rediculous. Perhaps 3 or 4 in each
group would be nice.

...I'd also like to see a great variety of weapons in ME3. It would be even better if many of these came with the game at purchase instead of as DLC.

This isn't the beginning of an anti-DLC rant...I actually enjoy DLC. However, the truth of the matter is that ME2 suffers from a real paucity of differing weapon in each weapons class outside of heavy weapons - especially considering that there's an entire galaxy of technologies to select from.

What about using other species weapons I mean in ME2 Shep gets to use a geth sniper rifle what about more alien types of weapons like Shep could use Turian weapons and so forth I understand why your squad can't use Legions weapon because the recoil would dislocate their shoulders but now that you're cyber why not open up the ability to use all species guns for Shep in 3 ?

I know there are probably like 100 other fix this and add that threads on here but I just want to say that after playing through Mass Effect 1 & 2 many, MANY times I just have to say this. Bioware if you are listening, for Mass Effect 3 please:

1.) Get rid of the Mission complete screens after every mission and assignment. They take away from the immersion. 1 great thing about the 1st Mass Effect was that almost everything was in game. Tram rides, elevator rides, world area transitions, etc. It just seemed more like an cohesive world. ME2 lacked that with all the load screens and mission complete screens.

2.) ME needs a better economy, financial system, etc. Hopefully one that lands in between ME1 and ME2. I mean come on. Everything you bought in ME2 was stuff you automatically needed. There were no real options. Also, everything was ridiculously overpriced. You get 20000 from a mission and spend 60-90000 on a weapon upgrade or something else. There was very little armor, very little weapons, and very little everything else to buy. Nothing to sell. Hell I bought everything there was to buy in the first half of the game. So yeah.

3.) I know this is a very non linear game and its hard to fix everything, but for the love of god iron out the glitches and problems a bit more . I have run into so many glitches and other broken issues in these games than I care to. But it's such a great series so I don't mind too much.

I think overall in ME3 I'd like to see all squad members return in one way or another, I'm not saying give us 25 squad members and we choose 3 for a mission but the fact is we're going to need an army to defeat the reapers. It would be cool if you had to go to Wrex and recruit the krogan for the final battle even if you have to do certain mission with Wrex in your squad to earn the loyalty of the Krogan army. Anderson could have some side mission which you have to do to recruit the alliance giving you the chance to have Kaiden or Ashly in your squad. I also noticed that in ME1 the alliance seemed to pull a fleet of ships out of thin air!! Where do they keep there ships!!!? I'm

guessing they have military bases full of them.... Let's see them!!! In both games we've been to busy finding out what the geth have to kick the crap out of us and how the reapers can come by and kidnap thosands of colonists without so much as getting a shot fired at them!! Let's see the alliances fighting capabilitys, show us a Turian ship from the inside. I agree totaly with the armor posts here aswel, sure we all enjoy looking at Mirandas cammel toe in the cinematics but surely someone so elite would have the common sence of wearing armor in the heat of combat! Take ashly for example... In ME1 she had bad ass wrote all over her! Maybe make them similar to Shepard casual on the Normandy and change it with Shepard so he has casual on in the likes of the Citadel and armor for situations where they expect to run into fighting! It got me on ME2 with the likes of no choice in armor patterns... We had 2!!!!! A form of co-op play would be nice also... I no you single player people out there are just getting exicted to rant and rave about this but just because it's multiplayer doesn't mean you have to play it multiplayer it would be one player aswel so there's no need to go ranting and spoiling the chance of it becoming multiplayer for the fans who would like the co-op factor in it! Personaly I'd love to share my shepards experience with a friend or two! I've got a few more ideas which I'll post once I get home!! Sorry for the lack of paragraphs it won't let me on my phone:p.

for another time, I suggest:

1) Mixture of Mako and Planet Scanning (different for type of planets) if there is still the need for resources.

2) Mixing of OverHeating and Reloading system for weapons.

3) More Literature and Philosophic Dialogues.

4) Space Battles for Midst of the Game or Final Battle.

5) Visitable Earth

6) Get rid of the Mission complete screens after every mission and assignment.

7) Skill System be like ME1.

8) More Hairstyles/Faces/Accessories

9) Weapon and Armor Upgrade be like ME1 and Both should be on Stores available for sale.

Female Turians
Female Volus

Just curious as to what they would look like and their voices

As with the rest, Visitable Earth and Tali unmasked
Option to disable helmet but have their stat bonus. Making it easier than having to mod.
Harder Insanity

Perhaps unlockable cheats, again so we don't have to mod.
More than 1 alternate costume for your squad.
More accessible spaceport type areas similar to omega and illium. For shopping.

As for other things I would like to see in ME3 if possible I would say:

1) Since this is the final chapter of the trilogy, I think Shepards squad should be big.Maybe more close to 20 teammates(depending on who you have left and your choices). I also think that the squad should be bumped up to 4 instead of 3. I mean, everyone is going to be pulling out all the stops for the final battle to come. So it should seem even more like a war than the previous two. In addition to the crew you have left at the end of ME2, you should meet more new people to join as well as bring back others from the 1st game giving Shepard a full robust roster of people to fight with him/her and more people to try to keep alive. This brings me to...

2) I think there should be a few more choices like those in the Suicide Mission littered throughout the game. Again, with it being the end of the trilogy arc everything should seem real and the decisons should become a lot harder to make.

3) I would like to see more interaction between people on the worlds and on the Normandy. Everyone just sits, stands or leans in a certain area. It would be nice to see people move around the ship. Go to see other characters, eat, sleep, check armor, work on things(mako, shuttle, hammerhead) in the hangar bay, hop on the elevator and go to different decks, I could go on and on. And that is just on the Normandy. Also time shifts would be nice. To be able to go to different planets at different times of the day would be cool. With that you would have to have the people act accordingly.

4) If t can be done....*IF*....it can, I think there should be at least one BIG battle where most of your teammates fight along side you. For instance, say have Shepard with his team of two others(or three if you bump it up) and then have two or three other teams of temmates each with it's own leader. You could then all move side by side along a giant battlefield. Maybe with Alliance or Cerberus nobodies also fighting with you and your team. A ground war. Eventually teams break off to do other things. Then your teams could call you over comm every once in a while when they reach an obstacle they need help with or advice on. You can send teams to help other teams or just go help yourself. Or if it is a minor problem you could tell them to "Do whatever they think is best", "Something positive", "Something Negative", "Paragon", "Renegade", etc. Meanwhile in the area around the said planet, Normandy could be engaged in a space battle in which you could either fully control like a space shooter or you could play as one of the few characters left behind on the ship by Shepard and make XO decisions in his place. Or you could play as Joker again. All in all I think there should be at least one Epic battle in there(even if it needs it's own disc. lol).

To be fair, this is armour in the future when they can manufacture perfect alloys with mass effect fields, so the armour shouldn't be as huge and chunky and full plate mail or something. I do also agree it'd be nice to see more gameplay where you wear various clothes - it actually goes hand-in-hand with it being more RPG than FPS. Rather than the entire game being Shepard running down a corridor in chunky armour and headshotting bad guys, it'd be nice to see more conversation/puzzle based sections. That in turn may lead to non-armour clothing, just like how Stolen Memories did. It stands to reason that the less shooty things get, the less relevant it is for Shepard to be wearing armour - ME1 already conceded that Shepard needn't wear his/her helmet in the non-combat parts.

What about weather conditions? In ME1 you got to go to a few planets that had meteors crashing into them would anyone like random rain storms on planets that could support rain and sand storms on those that are more dessert?

I like the comment on changing days from sun rise to midnight similar to how they do in Red Dead Redemption its very neat and gets the player more immerse into the environment when the day passes like normal I'd like some night driving missions and be able to arrive at different times in stations and both the people and sky are different.

Also what about random space battles like you're cruising around and run into a Turian vessel fighting geth or small reaper scout ships? You could even have the option of saving ships from attacks that randomly occur gaining you more para or renegade points saved ships could give you guns, money, or resources.

If you make no attempt to rescue vessel you are evil if you try and succeed or try and fail you still get good points sense you did try.

And I agree with Teclo :)
