Like Tower Defense or Defend the Castle or something? Im not sure that would be very fitting, but could be fun.

If you plan on doing hammerhead missions again then please do something with the vehicle itself. I was hugely dissapointed with the one in ME 2. I can't believe that you put just one gun on it, the boring sound/effect autocanon.
Wouldn't it have been much cooler if you could have customized it with a shield, machine gun, rockets and changeble ammunition canon :)
Also, why did the hammerhead crash into every small bump on the terrain, making that tin can sound and slowing down. Yes I could have avoided those bumps with the lift, but that would have had the same effect - slowing my vehicle down to a boring speed.

Also, please don't force us to go full renegade/paragon for persuade checks. I would have liked to make the decisions that felt right and not think about if I'm going to have enough paragon/renegade points for some ones loyalty persuade later.

I would love to visit Earth but I guess if you didn't plan that to the story from the start, then your not going to add it because people wish it anyway :P

Most importantly keep up the awesomeness :)

When you have prior history with other characters don't down play it have us talk about these events or how far back we go memories shouldn't be erased because you want a newbie player to pic up the game and play.

In Red Dead Redemption I've never played the first one I've picked up the 2nd and while I know the main character was in a gang I know very little of what they did while in it but as the game goes on he continues to give hints open up and curtain characters from my point of view not only remember the main one but make reference and in some cases down right hate you for what you did in the past while this can be slightly confusing at points it does not take away my enjoyment of the game and makes me want to go buy 1 I also admire the fact they've done this move btw I'd like to see where it all started I think ME3 should fallow a similar type of method sense your character has developed to a point and your crew keep these developments add onto them if a new person comes in confused but still enjoying the game they'll go back and get 1 & 2.

Keep deepening and expanding on all characters ( including shep) emotional development.

Have your squad mates change rooms and be in other locations maybe come see you more often and not only when there is a crsis in their lives maybe they find me to talk to me? There was one time in the game that Jacob actually left his room I went into talk to him and was shocked I wanted to find him I searched the ship he disappeared! It was creepy sense no one leaves their rooms like they all have shock collars on or something but it would be cool if say Jacob left and I actually did find him hanging out with Kasumi at the bar!

First post in this forum. :)

Well, after playing through ME1 and ME2 back to back, I have a few suggestions:

Bring back a more streamlined inventory. Keep the limited selection of weapons, but make them modular. Maybe things like improved scopes (which improves aiming but eats up thermal clips faster) or heat sink dissipators (which allows more shots per clip but decreases power). Similarly, there could be different ammo types, like incendiary, armor-piercing, or polonium. Don't go all out like in Mass Effect 1, with all these different sophistication levels. Just one type of part, and three tiers for that one part. Simple as that.

Shepard and his squad could find various weapon mods in the field, but not as frequently as in ME1. Give us the option to buy and sell mods, thus giving us another source of mods, and also giving us a way to earn extra credits. Similarly, make armor pieces have different effects. Let us find armor pieces as we travel, but dial it back a bit from Mass Effect 1's constant stream of useless upgrades. Also, maybe make armor pieces compatible with all squad members, not just Shepard.

The combat system in Mass Effect 2 was awesome, keep that. Biotic powers and tech abilities were great, keep those the way they are. class powers are a good idea, keep those. Where combat is concerned, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

The skill tree could use a major reworking. A happy balance between ME1's overblown skill tree and ME2's shriveled skill tree is necessary. Maybe give us a lot of different skills, but give us larger stepping stones. ME1's skills took twelve points to master, so maybe for ME3 reduce that number to six. The first, third, and sixth ranks could be used to give another tier to the power, giving it increased strength and one other aspect, while the second, fourth. and fifth rank could be used to improve the aspects of that power.

For example, a skill tree for Warp could flow like this:

Rank 1: Warp granted.
Rank 2: Warp cooldown reduced.
Rank 3: Advanced Warp granted. Power increased, radius increased.
Rank 4: Warp effectiveness against armor increased 50%.
Rank 5: Warp can now be used on shields.
Rank 6: Master Warp granted. Power maxed, radius maxed.

See? Simple as that.

Story wise, go all out. This is the final battle with the Reapers, and everyone's expecting this to be epic. Don't dissappoint.

Keep certain characters, though. Put Kaidan/Ashley and Liara on the team, Garrus and Tali (to keep some thread of consistency among the story), and whoever was romanced in ME2. If Garrus or Tali were romanced, then bring in two different original characters that are otherwise inaccessable. Maybe a Male character for a femShep, or a Female character for MaleShep.

That's about five characters right there, and assuming you guys want to have ten different characters, that leaves you with lots of oppertunities. Use this oppertunity to bring in new party members from other species.

We've got Garrus for turians, we have Tali for quarians, we've had two asari party members (technically three), we've had a salarian, two krogans, a drell, a geth, and more than enough humans. There are still a few species you haven't brought in yet. Let's see an elcor party member, a hanar party member (Blasto, anyone?), maybe a volus party member. Or, if you want humanoid party members, let's see a batarian party member, or a vorcha party member. All good options.

If Garrus or Tali aren't available for ME3 (if you know what I mean), then we can have a different turian or quarian to replace them. Maybe a quarian soldier, or a turian biotic. As fond as I am of Tali and Garrus, I for one would not mind getting to know a different turian or quarian.

Also, could you please, please, PLEASE let us see female versions of the other races? It's killing me to know what they look like.

Well, that's all I've got. I don't really expect BioWare to listen, but who knows? Maybe they'll implement these features.

Even if they don't, I will love Mass Effect 3 regardless of design choices. The Mass Effect trilogy as it is stands as one of the shining examples of sci-fi gaming, and I would expect nothing less than the best from BioWare.

I've done my squadmate list quite a few times but it's the most important part in my opinion.

I'd say like 20 Squadmembers. or 18 (3 for each class)

You don't need the loyalty of each of them, just some. Makes a huge impact on each playthrough.

2 Turians, Garrus & Someone else

2 Quarians, Tali & a male Quarian (maybe Kal'Reegar if you kept him alive)

2 Krogans, Wrex (if alive, or Wreav), maybe Grunt or just a different one.

1 Drell (Kolyat?)

1 Batarian (any)

1 or 2 Salarian(s) (any)

1 or 2 Asari

~5 Humans. (They did it in ME2. Zaeed, Miranda, Jacob, Jack, Kasumi) PLEASE BRING BACK KAISHLEY. (that's my made up name ^,^)

I do not understand people who ask for: more weapons and armor for the ME3 in each mission to separate gun and armor and do not recur in any, This you want?

Or those who want new characters in the team, why?

They will not be part of a team, do not cause emotions.

Kasumi Goto, Zaeed Massani - their reason to join a squad just a shame!

Zaeed Massani - for money - delirium, a mission recruitment Thane Krios, Shepard said that no amount of money the universe would not solve the problem.

Volus, Vorcha, Rachnai. What will they do in the team? Volus - monitor economic processes of detachment?

Vorcha - Quote: "Collectors create us mega strong"

Rachnai? The Thorian or Husks, Thresher Maws or Collectors need to party anyone? Write to the developers and they of course will make it in your team.

How such ideas may come to mind? Are you crazy?

Of course they will not be in the detachment ME3!

Space combat of course not.

Maybe in another game of Mass Effect and you'll see your crazy ideas but not in ME3.

In Mass Effect 3 Wishlist many crazy idea, of course have and really interesting, but they are very, very little. Just frustrated and I think not this in ME3, what they write. And why all the wishes about the gameplay, with storyline also not all right in my opinion.

In the beginning when we met Miranda and she shoots. Then the station explodes. I think the destruction launched she. And why i guess too.

ME1 was less predictable than ME2.

And I'm not sure that the decisions that I took in ME2 really affect the ME3. The fact that I saved or not saved the council ME1 nothing has changed, it is true. I think the same will happen with Quarians and Geths. One option for all, but different comments of this, or one general, it will cover all variants.

It sounds very critical, many may not agree, but it is so, but I would like to true diversity.

More testing and less (null) errors would be nice.

BIGGER MISSIONS - There has been an alarming trend not just in this game but with many games of late with 'Tunneling'.  Meaning the devs set up a beautifually rendered hallway and you have no choice of which way you go down it.  Thankfually ME hasn't suffered too much from it but I see a trend every so often.  I just hope they stick to the option of creating Maps where your squad has a few options of how to get across it.  Those I find are incredibly fun and replayable.

Different Length and Height for Male/Female for every species. I mean 160 - 170 - 175 - 180 ~ 200 CM for Human male for example.

everyone in ME have the same Height and Its boring.

My ME3 wishlist is probably nothing new, just throwing in my two cents.

1. Organic environments: What I mean by this is less "hallway full of crates" level design.

2. New complimentary powers: Powers that work in concert similarly to Pull & Throw, or Warp detonating other biotic effects.

3. (Really an extension on 2) Stacking power bonuses: Example: hitting one enemy with two Overloads simultaneously could create an electro-magnetic pulse.

4. Modular weapon upgrades: Targeting lasers (like the Phalanx), barrels, scopes, fire modes (manual, semi-auto, full-auto), etc. In other words, allow players to start with basic weapons and decide how to upgrade them.

5. Blind-fire. Highly innacurate, but potentially life saving when a Krogan is trying to put it's shotgun down your throat.

6. The ability to change character class on New Game+. The consequence being that if your previous class chose an upgraded weapon, that it would be redecud to the base version. i.e. the revenant on a soldier would be reduced to a vindicator on an adept.

7, 8, & 9 are all related.

7. (A very popular suggestion in this thread) Increased exploration. Overlord was a step in the right direction, but it needs to be expanded upon. Not every N7 world needs to be a planet you explore, but hub worlds would benefit greatly from the ability to manually travel. The sense of scope was sorely missed. Crossing Tuchanka's wastes in a Tomka or Driving around Illium in your flying car would be pretty sweet.

8. (Extension/Reason for 7) Bring back and expand upon the hub world side quests. There isn't really any point to bringing large, explorable hub worlds into the mix if there's nothing to do except drive around.

9.The ability to leave the vehicle at any pont in time.

10. Bigger things to kill: C'mon Bioware! Don't tease us with that flying red monster during Grunt's loyalty mission and then do nothing with it! Some big, nasty creatures that require a little more strategy to kill effectively than simply pumping them full of lead would be a welcome addition. (Of course, shotting them ad nauseum would still work, just take longer) Whatever a Shatha is, i wanna kill me some!

11. Mix up the fight sequences: An on-rails chase sequence here and there would really help break up the tedium of "take cover, shoot, advance, repeat." Yes, you'd still be taking cover and shooting, but it would be more stimulating visually.

12. Flashier ammo powers: This is pretty minor, but even though ammo powers are valuable, they don't feel, well, powerful. Distinct, unique sounds for each power and a more pronounced visual effect would be al that's required. For example, instead of just a blue muzzle flash for distuptor ammo, make the rounds glow blue as opposed to being the same yellow lines, and accompany that with a nice static sound.

13. Biotics that work: Biotics are some great fun on unshielded targets, but when I've got someone breathing down my neck and I can't do anything to them because they've got a 1/8th in of yellow armor bar remaining, it get's aggravating.

14. Increased environmental destructability: nuff' said.

15. More puzzles: Again, the Overlod DLC was a step in the right direction. I'm not asking for puzzles everywhere, but enough to keep gameplay varied.

16. class specific gameplay moments: For example: Being able to cloak as an Infiltrator and sneak to the controls of a crane, then dropping a cargo container on your enemies. Other classes would have to fight across that particular section. Another example: Using a Vanguard's biotic charge to phase through a ships hull, and then opening an airlock from outside, sucking the enemies in that room out into space. Subtle audio or visual cues could be implemented to alert the player. Or, just have Shepard say "I think I can (insert action) with that (object)"

Hope this wasn't too much to read. It's less than the OP anyway, though it's been a couple hundred pages since that.:D

I hated the Wack-A-Mole style of combat in ME 2. Sure ME one had things to be desired: but the individual cooldown times, static health, and general spread of cover allowed for a lot more maneuverability. As is: the main strategy for combat is "shoot at it until it dies", rather than a creative use of powers and movement.

Another contributer the the weak combat: incomplete companion powers. They have about three: compared to the what 5? 6? in ME1.

I feel that ME 2 feels like a shooter (which is fine) but to really catch my interest in the sequel I'd like to see a throwback to the first game. I'd like to see individual cooldowns, medpacks, and maybe remove the ammo system.

Also: the guns sounds in ME2 sound kind of cheesy, make 'em better.

Otherwise: I adored ME 1 and 2 and I played through both multiple times. The only reason I have gripes is because I played so much, because the games are so excellent.

1. I would like more missions like samara and kasumi loyalty mission, going undercover is fun.

2. missions like that one where we got an addition to the prothean memories, extended to the point where we can watch the whole thing like a video.

3. Have normal armor color change according to the environment for realistic camouflage (optional)

Omni-Gel-Skills!

Come on, that stuff was great in ME1! It fixed the Mako and was just junk we didn't need split into it's elements by nano-bots.

I don't even say we'd need it with items to be dissolved, but somehow it can be reintegrated into a game.

Maybe the Normandy can refine it from minerals, or it just can be refilled like the heavy-weapon-ammo in ME2.

Although the ideas I will list up now may sound overpowered, I think everything can be balance, it just needs to look overpowered ;).

But back to the skills:

Omni-Gel can be modified into hardware.

Rapid Prototyping in the field.

For example I've come up with some examples of what I mean:

Soldier: Weapon-Overload.

In addition to ammo-powers, the weapon is overloaded. Fire-Rate and Firepower are on the max, plus infinite ammo as long as the weapon is in this mode.

However the weapon is flooded with omni-gel, which cools it and repairs the damage the weapon suffers.

When the omni-gel is empty, the weapon will return to it's normal mode.

Adept: Biotic projectiles.

The omni-gel will be used to produce small grenades, which the adept will launch at his foes with his biotic abilities like a swarm of missiles.

Each grenade will use up a bit of omni-gel.

Engineer: Hard Drone.

Often I've read in this forum, that people wanted mechs as drones.

Well, Omni-Gel makes it possible.

The engineer with his/her technological knowledge should be able to craft a mech from omni-gel stored in a tank on his/her back.

And if the mech is broken, omni-gel is used to repair it.

Sentinel: Tech-Knight.

Fancy barriers and a glow-effect on the armor are neat, but how cool would it be if you could just activate this skill to pour a huge amount of omni-gel from a tank in the armor(backpack, etc.) that encases your normal armor and hardens into a exosuit with a lot of melee-power, stronger shields and armor in addition to normal weaponry?

Each damage taken after the shields are down will use up omni-gel as the armor repairs itself, until the omni-gel runs to a certain level that doesn't allow you to maintain the armor any longer.

Vanguard: Charge-Mines.

The Vanguard incases the front of his/her armor in hardened spikes, charges into the enemy with the spikes drilling into it.

While the enemy is thrown backwards, the spikes explode and cause severe damage.

Infiltrator: Charges.

Explosive charges the infiltrator can attach to objects and enemies while being cloaked.

Then the infiltrator can remotely detonate them.

Great to take out defense-turrets or YMIR's.

Just like everything else, each charge costs omni-gel.

Well I'm pretty darn sure that Bioware is gonna produce yet another product that I'll spend hours upon hours engrossing myself into. Nevertheless I do have a couple wishes I hope come true for ME 3. My list has one wish that's dealbreaker, one that I'm really hoping comes true but is not imperative to me playing or enjoying the game, and one minor wish that'll be no huge deal whether it comes true or not.

#1 A DEFINITE ENDING- Please, Please, Please!!!! Give us the chance to send our Shepherds off into the sunset with some closure! We've all spent a lot of time fleshing out our Shepherds. I think most of us want a endpoint to their stories.

#2 More Dialogue with Squadmates (especially love intrests) -This is one of the few areas that I feel the ME series has been somewhat lacking. While the quality of  the dialogue that's already there is superb, I just can't help but desperately wanting for more. Bioware has done such a terrific job at writting the dialogue for the first two games, I just hope they decide to show off their writing skills a lot more in ME 3. If there's a area that needs a boost in quanity of dialogue more so than others it's definitely with the love interests. One of my greatest hopes is that in ME 3 you get to really flesh out your relationships with your LI.

#3 Ability to toggle helment/change armor without having to go to captain quarters on Normandy-I'm not sure why Bioware decided to implement this but regardless I hope it's something they change in ME 3

I'm sure I could come up with a lengthy wish list if I gave it enough thought, but that's what came to mind.

Biotics need to be enhanced a bit. Shooters are cool and all, but I want to be able to use biotics as a weapon...like Samara in the cutscenes. In terms of feeling powerful. It was great in ME1 where a maxxed out singularity would cause the chairs and tables to fly around...I could lift a damned Colossus.
