But seriously I agree Horizon and Liara need to be addressed ie how they basically gutted you after you met them one calls you a traitor and the other doesn't care if you where their former love or not just a quick kiss, a shove, and straight to business I mean WTF! No glossing over those two!
I think squad mates who want to fight over you is good even as a girl its good!
Have some LI in 3 chase you down and if you already had a LI from 2 then fight but several times not once some vocal fights others weapons drawn that'd be fun!
Maybe if you do certain actions in the game Samara will change her mind and try to romance you? But those events have to deal with you aiding other cultures not dealing with her.
More unique missions like Samara's and Kasumi's more undercover work that leaves shep vulnerable play up Sheps human side for once instead of hero.
Give more emotions to Shep mainly its eyebrow raising or a bad shocked look more emotions please!
Yes I agree I don't care if it has 5 disks give us more immersion in environments, character development, dialogue, and planet exploration.
All planets in Palvin, Earth, Rannoch, ect as long as the atmospheric pressure won't kill you when you touch down get us on the planet and not just for a mission give us lots of land to visit and allow us to revisit at our leisure no one visit then nothing to see here. Even if I nuked the place I want to see the hole in the ground!
Sense Normandy is now injured allow us to dry dock take a vacation and customize our ship with paint, add ons, guns, and buy additional ships from the sellers so we can make a war flotilla!
Give conflicts with other races and npc's don't have me just approach them for the conflict to start either make it random you're in a shop buying something a batarian shows up recognizes you and starts the fight.
Play up Sheps hacking weakness!
Mako down on most planets but in the ones where atmosphere will crush you get out the prob
More geth guns, armor, and maybe even colossi
If characters get injured x amount of times during a mission give them badges to wear for x amount of time or levels so we can watch them heal also make them be affected maybe they can't run as fast or the world spins and meds must be taken during this time, ect.
Let's see those alien ships we've heard so much about in action
Kill TIM take over Cerberus! or Kill the council and take them over!

I agree, I can see how even a regular sword not even sci fied out would be effective against the soft layers of any combat hardsuit. I can also see them having the blades form from omni-tools or having them be a biotic formation, that would make the adept, engineer, and sentinel classes much more interesting (sentinels especially because of the tech armor). More vehicle stuff sounds good maybe the normandy can get a gunship that can have 2 squadmates on gunnery positions on either side and can utilize whatever special powers that would work in that situation.Trasketor wrote...
What i would like to see in mass effect 3.
1. Better Melee, Maybe even melee weapons. (swords and what not)
2. Expand on space travel. (i.e. flying through space, driving on land, more vehicle stuff)
3. Tali Unmasked.
Oh Tali, how i love you.....
(!!!!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!) I know you caught some flak from some liberals who had a stick up their **** about you showing a little bit of skin for a couple seconds in ME1, and in ME2 you had to use more suggestive themes in the romantic subplots, but why the heck couldn't show tali's face when you were getting intimate with her, were you that conflict with deciding what she looks like.

Bring back the Inventory (upgradeable sizing)
Theres always a good feeling knowing what's in your backpack. RPG gamers love looting! It's always exciting to pick up something that may, or may not be better than what you currently own. Another aspect of that great RPG feel could be to upgrade our bag size. Looting objects and selling them at different markets would be great. For instance selling something at OMEGA could be more valuable than at the Citadel.
Oh FFS, I don't want to deal with logistics in-game. Please don't bring that back. If I want to play trading I'll load up Freelancer.
I do think more customisation would be neat. I'm sure someone has suggested weapon mods using the current inventory-less system; you find a mod, everyone gets it, and you're free to apply it at a weapon locker.
Give us levels that make us feel like we've accomplished something! (VERY IMPORTANT!)
What's the point in leveling up a character when you don't unlock
something for getting there, or have a harder time fighting something as
you level up. Let me give you an example. This game levels you up very
well but you have no challenges. Enemies seem to stay at an incredibly
balanced difficulty throughout the game. It'd be nice to have enemies
outside of your level that are too difficult to kill, or much harder.
Another thing would be level requirements for certain ship upgrades,
guns, ammo, armor, etc. Give us the illusion that the higher the level
we are, the stronger we are! IMHO there was no
sense of this in ME2, and half the upgrades we got we never noticed.
No, levels should only be about the experience to acquire skills to do your job better, not about becoming an invincible badass. ME1 suffered from that with certain class and skill combinations, and totally blew the verisimilitude Bioware was gunning for out of the water.
Remember, RPG is ROLE-PLAYING GAME. Role-playing needs to be there. I agree with many who said that conversations and interactions can be improved, and that the choices you make need to have greater effect. The looting bit tends to be more part of the game bit than the RP bit.
PS. NO CYBERNETICS. Go find a group to play Shadowrun if you want that.

for example in mass effect 2 the only way to agree with the genophage was to do renegade options and thats a morally grey area no right or wrong

1. More Achievements for hardcore gamers. Maybe 200-300 so the game
never ends, but off course you are not awarded gamer points after the
first 50.
2. There are very many hardcore fans out there. That means ME3 has to
satisfy them aswell as the newbies. My second wish is that you earn rare
armours, weapons and other perks after f.ex finishing the game 5-10
times or doing something "impossible".
3. There is only one thing that really bothers me with ME2...
All the humans you meet during the game look all the same, all are the
same height, same head shape, and very few hairstyles. This is actually a
very important element in games because it gives you a unique feeling
to the giving moment or character.

Shepard wakes up on the Normandy to find that everything in ME2 was all a bad dream. She never joined Cerberus, was never stupid enough to take a violent maniac (Jack) on an important mission, the Alliance/Council were never so jaw-droppingly dumb as to think that Sovereign was a Geth ship a refuse to believe the existance of the Reapers in spite of all the evidence, Anderson did not become a spineless whimp and Liara did not become a cold-hearted harpy. Upon waking from said nightmare, Shepard continues where she left off at the end of Mass Effect, taking the fight to the Reapers.

Nah, there are no Collectors. That was all part of the silly nightmare as well.
What I'm really asking for is a central story that makes some kind of sense. But after all the nonsensical rubbish that happened in ME2, I don't suppose that's possible anymore.

I think Crysis does an excellent job with weapon customization. You can take a look how it's done here:

Seriously, Thane is one of my favorite characters in the Mass Effect universe. I love his story, I love the whole drell story and I hope that my Shepard will be able to find the cure to help him survive. If not, then I’d like to have Kolyat in my squad. Also, visiting a drell planet would be awesome.
There are also a lot of great characters in the Mass Effect books. I think that Kahlee Sanders almost has to be in the next game. Also, Kai Leng and Liselle seem to be awesome characters.
Otherwise I am dreaming of you being able to have a house on earth. Remember the Pinacle Station from the original Mass Effect? If you finished the DLC you got a house on a planet. Something like that, with a fishtank, a dog, Ashley as your wife and then a Shepard baby would be fantastic.
And after the story is done… Family missions like in Red Dead Redemption!

2. The looting system should return with more modifications instead of what we were given in the second game. I think if you could pick what you want off the dead or out of crate it would be better than forcing you take everything.
3. Return elevators because load screens took you out of the game and kind of ruined the feel of the game.
4. Mission reports should be moved to something else like your personal terminal or something because that just also takes away from the game.
5. Crew interaction because it get old watching them stand in one place and with that more dialogue.
6. Upgrade the Normandy and get rid of the wasted space. Since the Normandy gets damaged allow changes that make it more military and less luxury. Take things like the observation rooms and make them training centers or gun ranges. Make each room serve a purpose in training your character or something. Like the med bay is really useless and needs to be changed.
7. Have crew members serve a purpose like if Mordin helped make upgrades, Liara could decipher prothean artifacts, Dr. Chakwas provided medical upgrades, and maybe Samara could train you in biotics. Things like this make the crew more worth while.
These are just some of my ideas.

I want to have a trial involving Shepard.. being brought before the council or Earths alliance in chains.. kind of like like tali's trial, but more formal.. this would be a good opportunity for all your past actions throughtout mass effect 1 + 2 to be shown.. instead of just in emails... having the chance to explain your actions/escape the trial/or be sent to a space prison if found guilty.... depending upon how you or others defend yourself and the path youve chosen to get there (paragon/renegade) theres unlimited possibility if there was to be a trial... maybe i just want to have conrad verner as a witness but anyway.. what does anybody think of this idea?
Yeah I was thinking the same thing about pg 199 or so, I agree. ME3 opening with the Trial of Shepard I think is the way to go, then take the game whereever allthough I think the trial(depending on the way bioware plays it ) will be a mix of court martial and the finale of seinfeld(where your foes, foiables, friends) come outta the wood work. GIven the things that have transprired ..yeah it sounds too logicial, lol

1. I think there will be riots if squadmates aren't brought back from ME1 & 2, particularly Liara and Vermire survivor. Of if you did get a perfect everyone survives play-through of ME2 (and I'm sure most people have at least 1) that makes your potential squad enormous. I would like to see a squad composed of 6-8 "slots" that can be filled by any surviving character from the first 2 games. Liara and the Vermire survivor can make up your default team of 3, at least in the beginning. But then you could kick them off and build your squad however you want with a pool made of survivors and maybe 1-3 new squad members. Who your character chooses to fill the slots can have a real impact. Hungry for the old days? Fill your slots with only ME 1 characters. Think humans are really the master species? Don't recruit any aliens.
2. Since Bioware does place such an emphasis on character development I really want to see character based storylines come to fruition. Yes, I do mean romances but there are other threads. Does Thane eventually go out in a blaze of glory or dies quietly in his sleep? What happens with Kasumi and the greybox? Does Zaeed get revenge on Santiago one of these days? Is Mrianda's dad more than just a plot device for her loyalty mission? I don't care if this game needs to be 6 discs long to get it all in! (I know I know, budget concerns)
3. A glimpse of the Turian and Salarian homeworlds, some kick butt...SOMETHING on Earth.
4. Can FemShep get her dancing skillz back? I mean, she had some moves in Flux in ME 1 but can only do "I'm too cool to dance so I'm going just stand on the dance floor and bop my head" in ME2?
That's it!

If you fail and go to prison I think mini games could be played and my game I mean torture like Metal Gear Solid 1 also combining fight yards with prisoners this interaction with the prison populace would be neat some would approach you with very ren missions like kill so and so for me others more para which in prison would kinda be save so and so from the gang whos going to kill them. If you make enough calls you get help and tools and eventually break out of it.
I also think the council should lock you in a mental institute sense they keep saying your crazy and of course more mini games and break out via your squads assistance would be neat.
With Ship damage I think being able to customize it how you want is cool give both options to players allow them to maybe even rearrange intire decks! So if you want to keep or add in new luxuries you could or you could scrap all luxeries and go military or create a combo of the two.
Crew and npc purposes would be neat maybe chakwas not only gives you medical supplies but funny books and things you can actually read. I like the idea of Samara giving you lessons but what does she know that you don't as a biotic? I think Prothean and Shepard original powers should be used sense you linked with the beacons you should get unique things.
Both Sheps need to learn to dance....
I agree with bringing character stories to fruition sense I screwed over Zeed does that mean he's going to testify agenst me?

like Zaeed's face? You'd have the option of healing it o course, but some may look, interesting and unique
maybe not only having pet fish and a space hamster, but possibly having off-world plants and animals that u find by exploring??
when u upgrade a weapon, the weapon visually changes( the barrel looks different, cross hairs change, colors change etc.. )
Change and buy furniture for your private quarters

1. Custom "class"
Having "Bonus" powers in ME2 was cool, but let us be able to make our own class from a pool of powers, using a basic framework, eg:
"type" (assassin, Soldier, Biotic, etc.)
"Signature power" (Like cloaking, Reave, Charge, and other such "Special" abilities)
2 Attack/Support/Debuff powers
1-2 Major self powers (Shield boosts, Ammo types, etc.)
Custom classes would be saveable, so they could be used for other characters, the "Signature" move however would act like the bonus powers, and be changable with the advanced training skill (Like ME2) and would have unlockable powers you gain through the game (Again, like ME2's bonus power)
2. Bringing back the original Mass effect power system
I Understand wanting to make the game a bit harder, but shared cooldowns are very counter-intuitive when you have things like a bonus for using multiple biotic powers on a target
Yes, it does make us use our teammates powers to set up our own, HOWEVER it also forces us to pause the game to bring up the command menu, set up the combo, and then unpause CONSTANTLY which really kills the action (Especially when fighting bosses)
Letting me pull or singularity 3-4 targets, then immediately unleash hell upon them while my teammate does the same is far more awesome and rewarding, but can be more dangerous (Hi, insanity mode)
(On the same note, if anyone knows how to enable this in ME2 without completely disabling cooldowns, i'll love you forever)
3. ME-style custom weapons, but with a twist
Let us have a custom weapon in our loadout, sort of like a heavy weapon
EG: We can find and scavenge tons of different parts for various weapons, and then rebuild one of our weapons using them
To make the data easier to handle per save, limit us to one custom gun per character or something
4. WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more custom armor choices, in the sense of pieces, not sets
The armor sets (Like the collector armor and Inferno armor) are cool and all, but i'd love to be able to build much cooler armor (There just arent enough pieces in ME2)
Thats about it

2. In the same vein as #1, I'd like to see custom armor for squaddies. If nothing else, at least make sure all squaddies have proper armor this time around. I'm looking at you, Jack.
3. Bring back the High Explosive Rounds as an ammo power. Just started another Mass Effect 1 run and forgot how hilarious these things are. It doesn't even have to be particularly powerful, as long as it has a ton of concussive force. Claymore or Widow + HE rounds would be the funniest thing the galaxy's ever witnessed.
