I want a tool for ME1 where I can play male Shepard but date guys, like genderchange on pc, but for XBOX360
would pay 10-20 Euro
so that I can have a LI (Kaidan) from ME1 to ME3, yeah my Shepard is Paragon and single forever?

for ME3:
more dialogues, funny comments in every level, more talking after missions
karma decisions in side quests, more sidequests
more vehicle levels
more "patching throughs", emails are boring
more karma
more drama

A couple random ideas:

- relive shepards past: what if you could relive the mission where Shepards team was killed int he "sole survivor" background option? Or the mission in the Batarian Blitz that got Shepard recognized as a "war hero"? These would be flashback missions you could actually play and would go a long way to fleshing out Shepard's character/background.

- A varren/mech option for a pet. You can get upgrades for it and use it in missions.

I hope the conversation wheel is better in ME3. I don't like it when what I select sounds totally different from what I expected.

Countless times now I've had to replay conversations throughout ME1 and 2 because of this problem.

I agree with the "less linear" aspect in one sense: the main story as a whole, I think, should be less linear. Occasionally I found myself being forced to do a mission I wasnt sure my character was ready for. However the linear missions were awesome.

I think something that Mass Effect 2 really improved on that could be perfected in Mass Effect 3 is the armor customization. More parts, more patterns, the obvious jist of it. And yes, kissing someone through your helmet is a big no-no.

I agree with figuare9 regarding the small things. They really do matter, and they more or less make the game good or bad.

Cerberus sucks. Can we please leave? ...if we want? Choosing who Shepard is affiliated with and having that affect what missions you complete and how you complete them would be awesome.

Protect our friends, too, please. Jack in a thong-shirt 24/7 is really annoying and impractical. Especially in space.

GET RID OF MINING OR MAKE IT BETTER. Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Lastly I think more weapons would be nice, I understand that we're getting new weapons through DLC, but everyone plays the game the most when they first get it. And most of us first got it as soon as it came out.

Yep. That's it.

I was just playing the game and thought this would be a great idea: On investigative questions, left click to talk with a bad attitude (renegade) and right click to speak in a nicer tone (paragon). Just thought that could be a step up from the already flawless conversation system.

You say Apache and I'm thinking Thunder that game while fun I don't want a repeat for mass effect.

What about being able to mod your omni tool so Sheps is different from Tali's ect? You can add in mini games, over load, and tech abilities. Now I know some people will be like mini games on your battle omni tool but obviously you would not que up a mini game in a fight unless you want to get shot dead it would be used on your ship if the player gets board with no one talking to them.

While I miss the crouch option I also like being able to leap over objects so I'd like the option of doing both just not on the same button.

I do favor the giving your squad mates promotions or demotions as you see fit like Garrus for XO and Miranda with Gardner! Maybe 3 times in the game you get to promote or demote qualified squadmates based off of how well they've been doing their jobs you assigned them.

Also doing mission that require you to play as another member for a specific task might be neat like in 2 if we could've played as Tali or Legion getting through the vent system would be an example of this then after they get through you can start as Shep for the assault that type of thing.

I want one or two rescue Shep missions where you play as another character and get to form a squad(s) to rescue your commander and make sure they get to the Normandy. It would add a new flavor.

I like that idea of changing your hair, makeup style in game you change your clothing so why not? It wouldn't hurt any maybe if you change your hair style or color when you come out into the ship the crew comments on it weather they like it or not.

I hated having to have high skills for decrypting I'd drive out to an area on the other side of the map and find out even w/ techs in my squad we still couldn't hack it that wasted my time.

I'm not sure getting a bi Shep or squad mates would work some characters seem very set in what they like and changing them to fit this model should not occur. Maybe solve this issue by certain ME3 characters being romanceable or allow you to pick up npcs at clubs or dating services. With a bi Shep being forced on those who do not wish to go that route you're ruining their enjoyment of the game sense the phrases are already not quite matching up to what comes out of Shep's mouth. It will just add even more confusion and frustration will my Shep hit on a male if its a he? and the player constantly has to worry about which answer could trigger going down a road they do not want.

No more locking me out of my own ship. I own the darn thing I should be able to go everywhere weather a squad mate lives there or not I hated being locked out of the lab for instance until I got Mordin. If I want to go the lab I should be able to weather I got him or not.

I agree no inverse armor theory ( Jack) if she wants to parade around on the ship like that I'm requiring her to wear a vest but when we go to zero G environments she needs a pressure suit really and a proper helmet.

This wouldbe awesome!

Im sure its been said a thousand times over:

1. Hide helmet in cutscenes
2. Earth gets attacked by reapers. In ME2 the collectors were taking humans for the terminator. Why not siege Earth to take out those that have given you the most trouble?
3. Even in #2 doesnt happen some large scale battle. Not just your squard involved. Sure you can take your squard but you drop into the middle of an already ongoing fight. Having saving the galaxy with only your squad in 2 games is boring. make the 3rd a little more exciting. Hell, you have fought nothing but pawns in 1 and 2. I presume the big bad meanies are here to do what the others failed to do?
4. I just want legion back and an awesome cutscene of the quarian fleet getting ripped a new one. Maybe i could help the geth? please?

A lot of these are good ideas, and most of what I would say has been said.

But for the love of god, this is next gen. Please, PLEASE render the characters better. Nothing drives me more insane than seeing hands, feet, heads and so on going through other avatars/weapons/the floor. Also, make the relationships actually last more than one passionate love scene and some placeholder affection. Just some more discussions, something more intimate, maybe having the PC's love interest actually move in with them, talk, actively take some time to be with them, and so on, but I digress.

Just a thought. A random, random thought.

PS: A few more opportunities to wear casual outfits wouldn't hurt either. Or a few more casual outfits, for that matter.

I think the graphics need a little bit of improving and as much as I loved the tears in ME2, they really didn't look too convincing so that needs some work. I agree that there should be a visit to Earth but I think only at the end. I think it would be great to wander the Citadel and other hubs not dressed in armour and perhaps in a suave suit. I'm desperate to see Thane come back and would also like to see some huge scale battles, perhaps a free for all, with soldiers fighting next to me against an army of Reaper minions. Yeah, that would be awesome. Just saying...

I think most of my wish list has already been said by other posters, but I'll put it up anyway.

More dynamic leveling system- I never had a problem with ME1's leveling system, but I can see why some people did.  ME2 is definitely more streamlined and in many ways if better for it, but feels...not engaging?  I really don't have a good idea on exactly to go about this I'll leave that to people who get paid to figure it out :)

Loot!-First off, I agree ME1's inventory system was aggravating as hell.  I surely don't want to go back to that, but then again I think the current system is lacking.  I hate to use the word, but "loot" has become a major game play device even outside the RPG genre, "DoW II is an example, an RTS with item drops".  I was pretty surprised that it got so heavily neutered in ME2.

There is a dichotomy to this I must admit though.  I do like how your squad mates all have a unique look to them, and how you can piece, part and customize your N7 armor out, but I crave that "Oh crap, this guy just dropped a Serrice amp!" type of game play.  Dunno if those two seemingly opposing viewpoints can be resolved, but hey I'd look forward to seeing it if you can!

Helmets-I know the dev's must put this in the "whiney little ****es" category, but give us back the 'toggle helmet/visor/whatever" button back in the menu.  Enough has been said on this subject already, and I won't add to it other than to say.  PLEASE!? It does matter!

Combat-The combat system in ME2 is, in my opinion a major leap forwards game play wise.  But there is always room for improvement.  Diving out of cover? Blind fire? I'm not sure if anything like that would improve the game play or not, but I think it's worth investigating.

Banter-More sqaudmate banter and interaction.  Nuff
said-self explanatory.

Better integration of cover-Purely an esthetic request on my part.  More seamless integration of cover objects into the environment as opposed to random crate in the middle of nowhere type thing.  Immersion
thing-doesn’t affect game play.

Save game fixes-If, ME3 is going to draw on events in ME1 that are subject to some of the save game import errors, give players some resource to fix it......or whatever.  If not? Then I guess it does not matter.

Multiple level completion pathways-This was kinda sorta implemented on the Tali recruitment mission, where you had multiple choices on what path you wanted to take.  Greater use of this in more areas would
allow players greater choice in completing areas more suited to individual play styles.

PC/Omnibutton-I could see where some people might like having a Swiss army knife space bar that does everything under the sun, I think many PC users do not.  I think you should not totally remove that functionality, but at least give PC player the option to rebind the individual actions if they so choose.

PC/Key stroke continuity-Again, probably in the whiney **** category, but having the 1st press of the escape key on planet scanning go back one screen, but the second press bring you back to the CIC-instead having to scroll
with the mouse to the lower right hand of the screen to go back, but if you DID use escape twice having to bring the galaxy map back up....is aggravating to no end.  Rip your hair out and throw the DVD against the wall aggravating.  CTD errors don't ****** you off as much as this.

Better post release support-Kudos on realizing some well done DLC that seems engaging.  Bad Bioware for pouring resources in DLC and all but ignoring bugs that shipped with the game.  There are dozens-if not more.  Please convince your superiors for more man-hours dedicated to minor/major bug squashes post release.  We all understand with a game with such complexity, a few things are going to be missed-but pouring your heart and
soul into such a wonderful game, just to have it sullied by a few  dozen little things-seems nuts to me.

It’s the whole "you spent X amount of time putting a space hamster in, but couldn't fix Y" argument.  And yes,
each little bug, graphical glitch, whatever taken individually would seem selfish and nitpicky, and probably not worth the effort, but the taken as a whole they all can add up to take away from an otherwise near perfect game play experience.  I think this is even of greater importance considering this is the swan song of the Sheppard trilogy.  Yeah, whiney ungrateful **** tag on me again.

PC/Naming Savegames-Just to clear things up, PC gamers do have full functioning keyboards.  It's not overly difficult for us to name our save games.  A few of us might actually appreciate the option.  On that subject, does all of Canada date things using day/month/year instead of month/day/year?  Doesn’t matter, just curious.

PC/Xbox memory limitations-So sure, working with the Xbox's ridiculously small memory can be a pain.  I'm sure more than once you've had to say "Gee, this was really cool, but we have to take it out, or reuse the same
object, or can't have persistent this or that" and have to cut or redisign to work around it.  If it was cool to begin with, leave it in the PC version of the game!  No reason PC gamers should be punished for not having to wait for the next console cycle to upgrade.

I know the excuse already "But we want to have continuity between platforms....."Blah blah blah blah.  Screw that, it just not wanting to add fuel to the flames of the whole console vs. PC debate.  Screw it, I have ME1 for both the xbox and the PC.  It’s a great game on both, no need to screw one of the sake of the other.  On that please give PC users high def cut scenes!

Planet Scanning-Scanning for resources was a nice little diversion for the first 20 minutes or so, but quickly wore out it welcome.  I like the whole planet exploration idea, weather its from orbit or actually driving around the place.  Dunno the best solution to this, but I thought it worth mentioning.  And THANK YOU for the patch that made upgrades cheaper and requires less resource farming-It is actually making another play through bearable!

file:///C:/Users/STREAM%7E1/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image004.gif

Squad member specialization-In ME2, it seems choice of squad members is purely on a combat ability point of view.  How about allowing a tech expert to bypass a door or hack a terminal for you?  Maybe you get bonus exp if you do it yourself or something?  Or letting a biotic specialist huff and puff and blow a doorway open instead of hacking it?  Seem like a lot can be done along this train of thought.

I know in ME1 you kinda got shoehorned into bringing a certain team member along if your PC didn’t have tech skills or what have you, and I don't really think going back to that would necessarily be a good thing.  But having a cohort that brings more to the table then let’s say-being good against armored foes would spice things up a bit, and encourage replayability.

Minigame veriety-A little more variety in the minigames perhaps?  Nothing wrong with the ones in ME2, just saying variety is the spice of life!

Multiplayer-Just say no! Tell EA they can have that with a future ME game....or something

file:///C:/Users/STREAM%7E1/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image006.gif

Homeworlds-That would be.....cool.  Including Earth.  On that note-is the local cluster totally devoid of interesting
places in the ME universe?

Vehicles-I believe enough has been said about the Mako and the Hammerhead.  Do what you do best-make it fun!

Okay, this is getting a bit too long, I'm working on another play through, and add some more "pretty pretty please" stuff at another time-thanks for reading.   If this thread even gets read by the devs
anymore-lol.

I agree with streamlock. Squad banter would be awesome! One of the things that made DA:O so enjoyable was the squadmates talking to each other. Morrigan and Sten had me in tears laughing.

I do agree with the helmet thing.  I can't tell you how many cutscenes were ruined for me because Shep was wearing a helmet.  A lot of the intimate actions that you see get pooched because you've got a helmet on.  The whole armor system was kinda fail, though.  Given that you could only switch armor on the ship, in your cabin, instead of through the general inventory screen was annoying.  I can't tell you how many times I forgot to bring this or that armor during certain missions.  I do agree that there should have been a much more dedicated effort in making at least a few more options armor wise.  What's the point of making segmented armor if the Cerberus, Terminus or Inferno Armor were so much better, and why waste time with the decals when the better armor units were all color locked and otherwise inaccessable unless you wear the whole set?

Beyond that, a lot of the perks were kinda fail.  I never really did a lot of melee, given that I'm more apt to snipe, so I won't damn the number of armor pieces with that extra 5/10/30% increase in melee damage, but given that every class is exceedingly squishy a lot of the time when facing more than two enemies (especially in Hardcore and Insanity difficulties), it wasn't like you could really charge them for a hit-shoot combo without getting shredded.  I used melee as a situational at best kinda thing, so the melee exclusive bonuses weren't really all that valuable from my perspective.

The ammunition also kinds fell down on it's hands and knees, as well.  Some weapons made sense, like the Widow, with a limited ammo cap, but shotguns?  Three in the breech and a total of what, 12 without the ammo cap upgrade arms?  Less for the Claymore, at one per round and 13 extra.  Given that ammo refills fell like rain, it didn't help much if I had to dive out of cover to run for a stray ammo clip to refill my primary weapon, all while watching my shields vanish under five barrages of sustained fire.  This was often a death sentence in the higher difficulties.

Some weapons were also kinda sad.  I tried making use of the shotgun as best I could, but if you pop Adrenaline Rush you get maybe one shot before it wears off, and with the low clip I more often than not had to dive behind cover A and cower while I cycled through the thermal clip, and given that 90% of the firefights were mid to long range, the slow fire rate, tiny clip and strait accuracy dropoff at ten feet made the shotgun vastly useless.  The same applied for a lot of the sniper rifles.  They were useless against Collectors and most enemies, even with headshots.  The starting rifle and the viper were a joke.  Three or four rounds to drop a basic infantry unit?  To the head?  Even the Assassination Cloak and the headshot bonus helm, almost all of the sniper rifles were useless.  Even the DLC Incisor was kinda fail, more because it had fifteen shots before crapping out and a lot of the time the kick would cause one or two of the burst shots to miss.  Assault Rifles and SMGs were fairly well balanced, so I have no real complaints there, except that the Mattlock seemed to fall down a lot of the time.  Good accuracy, and decent damage, but the limited clip and lack of automatic fire made it feel more like a cut-rate sniper rifle than an assault rifle.  Handguns were also pretty decent, and I have no real complaints.

Only thing that honestly annoyed me, though, was that whole veiny red death screen thing that you got when you took more than 25% health damage.  It was distracting and wholly unnessesary.  I was always "I get it, taking damage, don't need this crap on my screen screwing with my aim and my situational awareness!"  The health bar from ME1 was much better.  Out of the way, but there if I needed it.  I don't mind the slow or the loss of the ability to do precision aiming, but more often than not some enemy would run right past my cover and chew me up and I'd miss it because they were covered by the annoying red veins of death.

Beyond that the game was great.  A lot of my issues were minor considering, and those didn't bother me all that much regardless, but there is room for improvement.  Hopefully things will be a bit better balanced out come ME3.

Get rid of the simplistic paragon/renegade conversation options, or radically reinvent them. They make an otherwise complex and interesting story feel contrived, pre-determined and dumbed down.

I hate that every time I see a conversation option in blue, I know that it'll successfully persuade the character I'm talking to to do what I want. I hate that when I see a conversation option in red, I know that it'll intimidate them into doing what I want. It takes all the fun and tension out of conversations. I no longer need to think and strategise about how best to deal with the person I'm talking to, wondering how best to appeal to their personality. Instead, I get offered what is essentially a 'short-cut' or 'cheat; button. Half the time I don't even need to read it - I just click the blue or red text and I know the outcome before it even plays out in the animation sequence. It makes me feel like a passenger rather than a protagonist. It's as un-fun as a 'kill this enemy instantly' button would be during combat.

I don't mind the renegade/paragon thing per se, even though it is a bit simplistic. I don't mind that you can forge a path for Shephard that bends in one of those two directions, and that this can effect your reputation, your conversation options, and certain quicktime events. I just wish the effect it had on your conversations wasn't so ridiculously crude.

I am one of the people who actually didnt mind having endless inventory choices...even if most where useless...I enjoyed like no other being able to have options like that...and going from that...to ME2 which has virtually nothing...sucked...

I am also one of the people who liked having to use skill points on Charm and Intimidate...I dont understand taking that away...if I play a good path...I will ALWAYS be able to charm someone? Thats just one less thing to think about...and one more thing made more "simple" from ME1 that I did not like...I enjoyed having to pay for my skill point choices in ME1...In ME2 for the most part you can never ever regret your choices later on...you hardly have any...

More powers...I played as Soldier...but love Barrier and use it like water...but I would of also wanted to be able to use Inferno Grenade...not have to choose one over the other when the Barrier is so obviously more helpfull...

I dont understand why so many things from ME1 to ME2 felt like they went backwards...I liked the power system way better in ME1..where you would wait for each power to cool down...NOT how it is in ME2 where you use one power...and you have to wait to use any again...It annoys me because I have no incentive to ever use any of the other powers...when it works like that all I am going to use is the best power...even if I would enjoy using the others too.

THREE discs...I say this because I saw how dumbed down ME2 felt in many many ways...and theres no way Bioware is going to do the series justice with just one more game if its a double disc...just no way...

In ME1 I could use all the paragon and renegade conversation options. In ME2 I can't anymore. I don't like that at all.

As a paragon, I like to avoid hurting people if I can just intimidate them.

I know this is a weird complaint, but here goes.

In ME1 I had the ability to get to 9,999,999 credits. Which was cool becuase I could buy my wholle team specter gear and amps and such.

In ME2 I barely had enough credits to get the upgrades nessacary to beat the game. The total cost of all upgrades and items in ME2 is greater than the total amount of money you can find in the game.

I'm not saying that I need ridiculously large piles of cash lying around. However I would like ME3 to have enough money to buy everything, and then some. Because everyone occasionally misses a hack or a salvage.

I can further a complaint on the creds once you buy everything you're stuck with lots of cash and no where to spend it! I mean even drinking myself under the table can't get rid of it!

I'd like something thats fun and changing to spend my extra creds on also whats up with beating the game once then it nearly being impossible to get points to finishing leveling up? Like with 1 playthrough I can get 3 areas maxed out then that leaves the rest which its nearly impossible to get enough points to max out the remaining areas I don't like that.

I also think in 3 a trial of Shep and all he's done should be done it doesn't matter exactly what the specific charges are sense if you're trying to get rid of a liability you will use fair or foul means to do so.

The council has already called you crazy and derailed on you when you died they then want you out in the terminus systems for this and may other reasons. They can twist charges around say you're a clone and so forth you have to defend yourself and you may / may not get off. I think the ability to be imprisoned or sent to an asylum should be great not a if I really really try to fail I'll get in prison using all para or all ren in this case also will not help you.

The idea would be to use all language options neutral, ren, para to defend yourself it would allow past actions letting the ranchi go/kill her, Working with Cerberus, Your own crew makeup, Destroying Purgatory, ect to come into play and will later shape how the world reacts to you. Past enemies can testify agenst you too. BTW if you fail and go to prison then you can escape it'll just take time. It would definitly add a new flavor to the series!

Maybe even side mission allowing you to play at points as squad members to get certain evidence like Thane could sneak into CSEC or lawyers office and steal purely damning evidence or Tali could hack into guards when you're trying to escape from prison ect.

I might've commented a couple times already, but I have a few more suggestions.

Steve Valentine as a voice actor. Please! Claudia Black and Simon Templeman were brought into ME2! Please put Valentine in ME3!

Mordin on the Normandy, an NPC like Dr. Chakwas, if not a squadmate.

Legion, and Garrus as squadmates.

And Kaidan in ME3 as a squadmate (and still as a LI).
