- Squaddies to return - all that survived. I can't imagine the resources required to pull that off, but truly, we all love the characters - please bring them ALL back.
- That means Kaidan/Ashley back in a major way, please; Liara, too
- Resolution of Allinace vs. Cerberus - let us pick a side
- N7 hoodie for Shepard to wear as casual gear.
- I really loved the gameplay for ME2. honestly, i would change very little of it.
- Would love to see femshep get some of her own animations - primarily sitting. especially if you ever give her a dress again
- Resolution of love interest subplot - please no "sacrifice self, love, or mission" to get it. every LI could have died by this point. if they made it this far, let it be possible to see this to the end.
- Resolution of reaper plot, dark energy plot, etc. - just, love the subplots - i want to see them continue
- did i mention an N7 hoodie for shepard to wear off duty? i think my shep is a sweatshirt kind of girl
- mention of femshep in promo materials - please. i know many women who would play this game if only they knew you could play as a woman.

And no, we didn't get to choose Cerberus or Alliance in ME2. We could choose to tell TIM to stuff it. But we didn't really have an opportunity to re-establish our allegiance to the alliance.
Yes, please! Friendships as well as romances. This is the reason that I buy Bioware games!Kag

This. Most Mass Effect players are male, I suppose. But why not target a female audience? It is a rare thing to be able to chosse a gender. It does make a huge difference for me. So I agree, having femShep in the promo stuff would certainly get more women to play the game.sagequeen wrote...

Give femShep female movements and gestures to make ME3 even more appealing to women. Have Kaidan's face pop up several times - tada!

So, because person asked choise between Cerberus and Alliance (what is part of Council group now). Then the end mission in ME2 was that choise. When there is two choises (as there was asked just those two, not more choises), when deny other, means only one is left to choose.

yes, but only TIM knows that at this point. is he going to call up the Alliance and say "oh, hey, you can have shep back now."?
no, he's probably going to be pissed that shep mutinied and took his ship. i wouldn't doubt him coming after shep. if you gave him the base, then are you going to stick with him, doing missions while gathering intel on the reapers, or go off and look for reaper-defeating tech while only nodding to him occasionally? and what about the Council/Alliance? they don't know what shep did. they don't know if shep is trustworthy. there is a LOT that needs to be resolved, because there is no resolution there for what Cerberus and the Alliance will do to shep/with shep/for shep - only what shep did with the base.
personally, i would like to see this played out in a DLC - with Ashley/Kaidan as the Alliance rep, of course.

but I can not imagine anything like that, Mass Effect 3 will be further simplified, shorter and easier as the second Mafia 2 must be the best of mass effect, rpg real space with multiple endings and a long 50 hours, and hopefully to happen

I don't think there's room to have humans argue when the Reapers are coming. I could see it happen afterwards though, but even that is just about stopping TIM from using his custom Reapers and then bringing Cerberus back under Alliance, or you could just take over Cerberus and use it to achieve your own goals

- would love to see a few more council race homeworlds (palaven?)
- squaddie banter! doesn't have to be a lot. but this is the one thing i preferred in da:o and missed from ME1 was that your squadmates actually seem to acknowledge each other's existence. again, resources must be a pain for that kind of thing, but a little goes a LONG way for establishing character and comraderie on the squad

Squad Banter in missions.
Give squad mates a little limelight have them get interviewed or something.
Some better casual gear for Shepard. I know its been a hundred years or more, but Jeans should still exist in the future.

Get rid of the damn mining mini-game, if I spend 50000 credits to purchase a upgrade, then why do I have to spend another 50000 platinum to utilize it? I'd be pissed and start shooting merchants in the back of the head if one told me that.
The Citadel needs to be opened up and expanded, in fact I wouldn't mind 1/3 of the over all game taking place there.
The option to take a new weapon class and learn it, or make it like the original were you can use any weapon. Only make them all available, but you get to pick what ones you want to have powers in and advance in damage. Also I like the idea of weapon mods, just not like the original. Also get rid of thermal clips, if I wanted to play a shooter, I have plenty too choose from.
While I want to see some of my squadies back, a couple of new ones would be nice.
Also I too want to see a specter or two on random missions from the Council.
Random Missions, that's right, random missions. You have the Engine, you have most of the models, why not a Random Mission generator that shoots off every time you hit a Mass Relay?
And too the Femshep people, I know you all want it, but much like my disgust about being forced to play as a human in Dragon Age 2, you are going to have to accept that cannon Shep is male and they might make the main protagonist in the next Mass Effect game a woman. So what I'm saying is that they won't waste any money on separate artwork or animations for her.

- Have the decisions made in the first and second game have an effect on the main storyline so you get 2 separate campaigns depending on your decision at the end.
- All squad from both games that survive to be back plus some new characters
- More main quests like in mass effect 1 combined with the style of side quests in Mass Effect 2
-Longer Missions
-more explorable area within missions

It would be different for each character (with different armor)
Ashley-- jumping over a crate in heavy silver/purple armor, shooting geth and collectors with a grenade launcher, picking them off piece by piece with a satisfied grin on her face.
Kaidan--in black armor, first his eyes flame blue, then his whole body lights up like Dr. Manhattan as he smashes geth together with a biotic Singularity.
Fans of these characters since ME1 would be very happy with this.
People who started with ME2 and didn't get a chance to know these characters get to see them in action.
People who've only played ME3 will get a very good first impression.

Here are some of my ideas for story arcs:
1. I think the story should have an arc that focuses on the deaths of some of the characters and the result of what decisions Shepard makes that puts an unavoidable life of death directly in the hands of Shepard. This should be done early but not a bulk death, because it diminishes the importance of the characters developed.
2. We hear constantly how Shepard had to make a decision to send a character to die in the past. With that in mind it would be awesome if Shepard had to chose between a romance developed in ME1 or ME2 resulting in death and after effects.
3. Or the jilted lover from ME1 or ME2 becomes a new villain maybe backed by Cerberus and modified by technology used to resurrect Shepard.
4. A second Shepard is created and becomes the becomes the new villain or the Shepard of ME2 realizes he is the second villain and the other Shepard is the true Shepard. One being good or evil based on which direction you took your character.
Anybody have any other ideas. I didn't focus much on the war for humanity because this is a story about characters and their creation, life, and death.

I think BioWare should ignore all the RPG fanboys and keep the formula it used in ME2. That said, I would hate too see half of my crew die in the first five minutes of the game. I think people should not focus so much on the mechanics of the game because they pretty much nailed that focus on the completion of the third act.

1. No, what are a few peoples' deaths compared to the extinction of life in the galaxy by the Reapers. That's what ME3 is about.
2. Huh, where was this? The only thing I heard like this was Shepard sending his squad to die on Torfan if he is Ruthless.
3. No, sounds like a lame soap opera plot.

-The way Shepard moves. when he strafes left/right the models upper torso/arms seems a bit stiff.(the moment right before locking the crosshair/firing a shot) continue to refine shepards combat movement without moving the 3rd person camera around too much (dizzying players)
edit:
-please keep some form of respec for skills and please implement a respec for ad. weapon training.(picking the additional weapon)
-improve hair and skintone/shadow. (eg. miranda's skin in the opening sequence looks great. but else where the shadows look horid. perhaps include some facial 'inner glow/lighting' for the skintone, then the shadow overlaping that)
-continue to improve loading time and the texture poping issue.(rare, but still there. most notable during the firewalker/enviroments. also noticed the ME1 lava-black issue in firewalker in some grass patches)

for the first time you can easily quest an hour or two and still have a
lot of quests in Space. Omega certainly had Potential for that or what
has potential in ME3 for that.
2. Transform the survey-able
Planet's into Planetscanner ones or like i read in another post let us delegate the mining
3. bring back the Planets to explore, the mission intermezzo that there is sidemission there
and the updated mako from the PC version where you could zoom and
accurately hit you targets plus the mako has a decent shield and a good
armor the mako has more Authoritah.
4. A Inventory and loot system similar to "the witcher" the Levelrange to 60 and a full character-development
5. The ability to mod weapons and armor like in ME1 if possible with the research system from ME2
upgrading the Normandy was awesome
6. The "Citadel-Elevators" with the little "loading" logo instead of a screen and squad and crew banter
People that are not just waiting for you to talk to them and have a "life" instead.
7. The Normandy doesn't undock every time you enter ../../../images/forum/emoticons/angry.png
8.
Keep the FPS mechanic from ME2 it is frakkin awesome but please use the
skill system from ME1 along with the full skill tree the global cool-down from ME2 is ../../../images/forum/emoticons/pinched.png
9 Please please reduce the amount of loading screen to a minimum like only inside the Normandy../../../images/forum/emoticons/crying.png
10. make the mission debriefing a conversation and not a just a static screen like the mission report to the council
11. Combine the Ammo-system from ME1 + ME2 so you can instantly cool down a weapon with a thermal clip and prolong the normal cooling of the weapon for a second or two
