Oh, I almost forgot; A create-a-class system, where you can create and name your own class, with skills and powers you choose.

I'm tired of you fools, thinking you can just come up with ideas in which creating is the main focus. I like the classes as they are now. And it would be very one sided to get all the abilities you want. throughout the whole game you'll be thinking that you should've picked a better set of abilities. Your teammates are supposed to balance you out when you go fight. You don't expect Shepard to have a biotic implant, technical abilities, and a extreme training in guns, now do you?

This thread was created to tell Bioware what you want for ME3, with close to over 9000 posts, why add this inane comment of yours. If there is a team to read this thread then why not make their eyes a little easier and stop posting this nonsense.

I consisder your argument ill-informed, sir (or madam as the case may be)! This is a thread of things we would like to see in Mass Effect 3, that doesn't mean we are going to see any of our ideas actually in the game. That is a reality we all share so there is no need to call attention to it!

Also if you can't come up with ideas of you own and insist on pointing out the ridiculouness of others, then you have no right to be here.

But since your response is clearly meant to get me to defend my thought, I will go on record by saying that since the Mass Effect series has stated to slide into the "Balls-to-the-Wall Action Shooter" genre, a second playthrough create a class system is something we can expect.

Good Day, Sir!

A small wish is that all the old potential romance options from past games stay in ME3. I have told Tali that a romance is too dangerous at the time and I have agreed with Liara that we both have our jobs for now. There are other situations like accidentally missing some conversations or starting to like the character later, even during ME3, and I'm sure some ME2 newcomers want Ashley/Kaidan/Liara romances.

So I hope that in those cases they aren't locked out as possible romances for ME3, but you can continue the romance after a break or approach the people you couldn't before

Beyond Mass 3-I would love to see a continuance that would allow a player to develope and or play another race or character. After the storyline of Sheperd has expired there is enough lore and mythos in the Mass Universe to have at least one spin-off. I know that purist may hate the idea but it would be fun. Not like an MMO but more like a quality Phantasy Star type concept. Something that allows the immersion of a player to take Mass Effect from a more universal perspective. The multiple opportunities for playthrough are greatly increased and honestly not much would have to be changed to the format to achieve this. Really aside from voicing and or skin changes-the weaponry, armors and worlds are already there. I do not come to the forums enough to see if there is a true following for something of this nature but it is worth the input. As far as ME3-I hope to see the empowerment of the Quarians, a humbling of the Turians, maybe a playable Volus! As far as plot extensions; tie up the collectors and legion. There is so much room for conflict and contact with the species already existing than to invite or create an exterior badguy just for fun. The cherry could be having all the refinement of ME2 with the vast movement of ME1. Other then that I would love to be surpsried!

Since I wrote my last comment I played through ME2 2 more times and I think I spotted some new things, that were just good but not great and I really want to help you making an even better game after I so much fun with this one.:

-Include more diverse Gameplay into the eperience (though there was already a lot of improvement with the expansions), i.e.: More vehicle-challenges for the Hammerhead; more great side missions like the one with Morinth, that give you an entirely new challenge (the atmosphere was thick like water hunting the hunter with words); diversify combat as its the thing you´re most busy with during the entire game (i noticed some special ideas in ME2 like defending a survivor from attacking varrens, why not hunt-downs, escortings, infiltrations (nothing new here), destruction-missions, usage of special big stationary weapons against landing space ships or vehicles, just surprise us a little ! ...but keep diverse classes)

-renew the upgrade system (-presentation): In ME2 there just was a little display for new upgrades in diffrent areas and one for all the upgrades you got already, which was totally impossible to keep an overview over your upgrades if you were progressed far in the game. Just give it all more categories and a visualisation for each categorie (for example an assault-rifle in the middle of the screen, which you can look at from every angle and on which you can just choose a certain upgrade (for example for weapon damage, clip-size,fire speed, recoil damping), also don´t just give players all the upgrades for free and let them search raw-materials, but instead give them a certain number of possibel upgrades after every mission and let them decide between all the upgrades, this way it becomes a tactical decision and make players think about what upgrade to get

-make every upgrade for weapon or power actually feelable in the gameplay, which means: the amount of addtional damage you do with a new weapon/power-upgrade has to be higher than in ME2

-please make the environments you fight through more interactive: I want to have the ability to push enemys of a ledge/into a powergenerator/something else more often, so my powers really matter

-I think we need an extra difficulty level, because i´ve reached the highest now and its still challenging but it would be neat to have one, which is so hard, that it really would be hard to beat the game ... ´cause that´s all the more fun :)

I believe in Bioware. I think they're the best at storytelling. So im not worried they¨re gonna screw up ME3. All i ask for is a bigger VA-role for Claudia Black. Love her voice.

Ive only got a few minor gripes, aside from significantly expanding the amount of interaction and dialogue with your squad mates and between them, Dragon Age had a TON of inter-action dialogue between squad mates in your party and I missed that significantly within the Mass Effect series.

My BIGGEST issue, and one that for me LEVELLED alot of the awesomeness that ME2 could have been was that you were forced, at all times, to only talk to you squadmates in their stationary places on ship. Im not saying they should be having heart to hearts in the middle of a firefight, but that if your in the Citadel why not be able to talk to them? That pounded the immersion for me in a way that nothing else could.

not sure if this has been said yet but 2 more things I would like to see one thing that would have made 2 better for me would have been answering the many mails you got even if it was a paragon neutral renegade answer for each would have been good they could also work as ways to get missions if you can talk over the mail system and I would love it in 3

this is for 2 and 3 more off duty outfits we got tons of armor and 100s of different customizations would love the same thing for off duty stuff

having people call shepard by her/his first name I mean why have one if its not used your LI should at the very least use it plus if there marriges in the future saying do you shepard take who ever does not really fit

also would love to be able to change my shepards first name at the start of the game not sure if this can be done

My list of DEMANDS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .........

A better variety of weapons, armour and the ability to customise/upgrade them, a la ME1. Well, maybe not exactly like ME1 as there were too many weapons, but in ME2 it felt like there wasn't quite enough and I missed the Spectre weapons !!!!

A showdown with Cerberus & the Illusive Man.

The Mako !!!! & the ability to upgrade it. I know a lot of people didn't like it, but it made exploring and mineral finding a lot more fun than spending countless, boring hours scanning planets.

The truth about the Geth.... Friend or Foe ???? & Legion's interest in Shepard

Ashley & Kelly Chambers as playable characters, or significant characters in the game & NOT just cameo roles.

The Citadel area being A LOT bigger.

A port on Earth as a HUB or side quest level. Would be interesting to see what it looks like in the ME universe.

Maybe random or set-piece battles where you control the Normandy against other ships.

Some Rachni involvement in the main story.

Bonus powers depending on whether you take the Paragon or Renegade path.

An EPIC final mission/boss battle. Thought the boss in ME2, although a freakin' awesome idea, was a bit too easy.

A proper conclusion and not some silly, arty, ambiguous ending.

So, Bioware, now that you know my list of demands, I expect these all to be carried out in full, or I shall come by your office, take you all out for a nice seafood dinner and then NEVER call you again.

You have been warned !

Don't really have any bones to pick with your post except just one observation...more females on the squad?  Huh?  How about no males at all?  You have Tali, Miranda, Samara, Jack, Kasumi.  Basically half your squad is female but that's not enough?  In ME3 you are likely looking at Liara again and, maybe, Ash (though these would likely replace one or more ME2 characters that go their own way come to ME3).

I understand the curiosity about seeing more of the alien females but temper it with this:  Krogan females will look like Krogan males in gross features.  Tough and ugly.  Turian females will look like Turian males, though perhaps smaller in stature.  Salarian females will look like Salarian males.  The main diff will be voices.  NONE of them will be a "babe" that a real human would want to bed, by the way.  Hanar are irrelevant in this regard (if they even have sexes...jellyfish themselves are sexless.  Batarians?  Ugly 6-eyed females much like the ugly 6-eyed males.

Side note:  all female love interest potentials (thank god) have hot female characteristics:  nice butts, nice breasts, shapely, pleasing face (with Tali's left to the imagination but she has the rest of it down).  NONE of them have insectoid features (Turian) or reptilian/turtle features (Krogan).  If the LI doesn't look nice unclothed (or if you wouldn't really want to have her unclothed if she were real) isn't valid or desireable.

Good points.
Firstly, yes ME2 does have five humans in the squad, but three of them (the females that is) are human, I can't help but think that we got more humans to replace puting more aliens/ female aliens.
Secondly, you make a valid point, but not all females introduced have to be LI's, and therefore do not have to be attractive in the slightest. I mean, how many ugly male species are in the game yet no one complained. A female krogan could be an ultamite baddass soldier, etc. for that matter they don't even have to be in the squad, but their existence will help flesh out the universe, and make it more believable. Seeing females will be expecially important if we go to the homeworlds, which I hope we do for ME3.
Anyway, for ME3 we'll at least have an asari (/Quarian, but I have a feeling Tali may be replaced with a male quarian) and human in the squad for two potential LI's, so the third option doesn't have to be as "attractive", but rather have the appeal that Garrus has. I mean, i'm sure a turian female romance could work, and even a batarian one (provided they look quite a bit different, I can imagine them like the N'aavi in Avatar expect with more eyes and a different colour). Female drell would look much more huminiod and Bioware could always create new alien speices with attractive yet still alien females.
It's just at the moment we have three races with females in the galaxy (Human/ Quarians/ Asari), sure there are others mention but never seen, and I hope that changes in ME3.Plus, i'm personally interested in another LI that isn't human/ asari/ quarian.

I dont want to give Bioware any ideas on how to end there trilogy but I had a suggestion for I think its a safe bet in my playthrough that the Krogan, Rachni, and possibly the Geth and the Quarian races would all fight at my Sheppard's side. So what if like in Return of the King we see all the races come to Sheppard's side in the final battle along with all Council SpecTRE's and Alliance and council fleets. And you did not positively influence those races then they are wiped out completely by the Reapers.

NEW SQUAD MEMBERS: We need a batarian and a female turian but, as some folks mentioned above, don't try to make the turian sexy.  In fact, don't even try putting boobs on her.  Please.  That would be wrong.

PAST DECISIONS: I did some pretty heavy stuff in ME1 and ME2, but I have yet to see the reprocussions.  You know, rachni?  Collector base?

EXPLORATION: I miss the epic scale of ME1, with levels that spanned over miles and miles of changing terrain (Feros and Noveria especially). Seriously, enough rooms with boxes. Also, I miss dicking around on random planets, and landing on the moon was SO COOL.

INVENTORY AND CUSTOMIZATION: I really liked goofing around with Shep's armor in ME2, and I miss being able to make the Best Assault Rifle Ever like I could after leveling up in ME1. If BioWare can strike a happy medium, I would be much pleased.

MORAL GRAY AREAS: This is a biggie and an absolute MUST. I want there to be some truly epic decisions, where there IS no right answer and SOMEONE is getting screwed over no matter what you choose. I want Paragon choices that might actually be a bad idea in the long run, and Renegade stuff that will unintentionally turn out butterflies and rainbows.

ALLIES: Occasionally buddying up with NPCs for a few missions would be cool. Maybe a few more temporary squad members, or an option to call in reinforcements during really rough times. And, hey, playing AS a squad member once or twice would be pretty fun, too.

DIPLOMACY: Shepard's not going to be able to take out the Reapers with just his/her super squad of epic misfits. You're gonna need the whole galaxy behind you, and making nice with certain factions and organizations may be necessary to get the firepower you need.

SHEPARD'S MOMENT OF WEAKNESS: We spent a lot of time looking at the conflicts and issues our beloved squadmates faced in ME2. So far, Shep's been pretty much invincible, but I think he/she deserves a little humanization and character development. Bring on the drama, baby!

THE POSSIBILITY OF FAILURE: I'm not talking just a "game over," here. I mean that, if you honestly screw up somewhere along the line, you may accidentally wipe out all of galactic civilization as we know it. Imagine having to watch everything you've worked for blow up in your face, and you are forced to continue on with nothing. That sort of pressure to not just be good at the in-game combat, but to actually be a good leader and make your decisions carefully, would be intense. And awesome.

FINALLY, HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS: I cannot afford a new graphics card every two years. Please be kind.

Gameplay (will post more in the future)

- MINIGUN heavy weapon.

- Colossus Armor. The invincible badassery was unmatched.

- Weapon modding. Not just adding mods, but editing the gun specs for personal preference. Like they do for cars in Need For Speed.

- Melee combat. I had ideas in my previous post.

- PLEASE NO MORE GLOBAL COOLDOWNS. They made biotic combat clunky. Mana or energy system like in DAO would be cool.

- An investment system would be cool. Shepard can buy and sell stocks for different companies like Sirta Foundation or Binary Helix, and based on side missions that Shepard does, can either raise or drop the stock. (I think it might have been mentioned by someone else before).

Story (random ideas in my head)

- A reputation system. Not just Paragon/Renegade, but based on how you complete side missions or which side missions you complete, you can unlock further side missions depending on your choice, and based on choices have factions like Blue Suns or Eclipse be friendly with you and join your cause in the the battle against Reapers. This would make the side missions more involved with the main storyline.

- A arch-nemesis for Shepard. Saren died too early. Harbinger in humanoid form would be cool. Perhaps taking the form of the one who DIED on Virmire to screw with Shepard's head. Probably not gonna happen, but at least it sounds cool in my mind.

- Different outcomes in the end ranging from happily ever after with rainbows and candy, to a sad and empty and depressing finale, or even to terror and misery across the galaxy.

We need multiplayer. We need to have a game {I.E. if not ME3 at least a MEuniverse multiplayer.} that shows that the proper use of a long gun is NOT 6 feet away. And over powered burst fire assult rifles DON'T take skill. Or that only "noobs" use shotguns. { I would like to see a CODfish or master chief fanboy say that to a Vanguards face.} We need a game were you have to think to to play, not play to think. Were the measure of a player is shown by their oun unique way of playing not following a cooie cutter plan of exploits and short cuts. We need a game that has teamwork and shows it. I know a lot of people would just love stop a "hopping-around-like-a-retard-with-his-sniper-rifle-dorkwad" with an incinerate, send them flying with shockwave, and have your infiltrator put a soda can sized hole the dweeb from across the map. Yes we need multiplayer. Any kind will do so long as it is ME based.

If ME3's gonna be mission based, then a Co-op option would be pretty cool.  But I agree, it's gonna be too ambitious.  ME trilogy sould focus on the story.

Now ME online on the other hand......................

As I said it can me a ME universe game not ME3. And what is the deal with it beening a bad idea? Yes I loved the story. I just ended my 12th playthru. Yet I would love to play with my friends. If this game had a main quest multiplayer. That would be epic. I mean the game is long enough as it is. It would have a multiplayer MMO feel to it. And you could join any other game or invite your friends. Any way you slice it multiplayer would be a good thing.

I don't think anyone thinks it's a BAD idea as much as we think it might take focus away from the main story.  Too much work and time involved, even for the super skilled scientists at BioWare.

And co-op would be hellafun imo (imagine 2 biotic classes, one on singularity duty and the other on warp duty.  Or a Soldier providing cover fire while an infiltrator gets cloaked and melts faces from behind), but I think there's a mixed opinion on ME2 being mission based instead of open world like ME1 (I'm not one of those people, mind you).

Not always look at Bioshock2 and countless other games where Multiplayer is just tacked on just for the sake of few more consumers. Would a Mass Effect MMO work? probably not on a console. there are many different paths they can take after ME3 but you can't through out a blanket statement like "Anyway you slice it Multiplayer would be good thig." cause it aint "always"

OK here is my take on this:

-  bring back weapon and armor upgrades system from ME1 and mix in with ME2 upgrade system (ammo powers can stay as they are)
- Armor piece system is cool just gime me more armor parts and some high lv part for end game (think specter weapons and high lv armor from ME1)
- biotick and tech power to work with "logic" on defense powers(kinetick/Biotic shield, armor) : I don't get it why if enemy hit me with flashbang I get confused but if I hit him back and he got shield up hes safe it makes no sense
-same with powers like incinirate ,cryo, flashbang, pull, throw not working if kinetick shield is up, that's not how kinetick shied works! it wont stop fire (armor, sure)or flashbang atack but it does in game
-bring back cooldown option for weapon fromME1 if you run out of heat clips you can just let it cool.

-less companions= more story/missions/dialog to every one of companion character
- more overlord and shadow brokes type of missions and less coridor walking shotout types of missions
-See a quarians face (Tali preferably :) )

- More thing to do in HUB places like Omega nad Citadel plus bigger HUB-s- (story missions not involving shoting, exploration)
-More real exproration (hidden places, ester eggs, secrets)
-More Loot (armor,weapon,upgrates-not talking about % more dmg type) Not so much like in ME1 :kissing: but definitely more then in ME2
-Kepp the DLC on Overlord and LotSB standard

Crouch button, jump over button!! (at least in PC version)
-plz better textures on PC Ashley looked like straight form ME1 :( only head had better textures Liara from DLC on normandy had good textures(head and body)  I expect every character to have this level in ME3

And last thing change up difficulty options Vetarant should be normal and hard (with enemis having slightly less firepower) should be veteran right now normal and veteran are so easy that they feel like GOD MODE no fun at all and no chalenge

I think thats all of top of my head Im sure I frgot about some thing but that's my main concersns.

Can one or more of the new squadmates in ME3 be a Spectre. It would be kinda weird if I (as Shepard) try to save the freaking universe and I can't meet one operative that will either try to kill me or die as soon as I meet them. I mean, I don't want me (as Shepard) to feel like I'm cursed with some Anti-Spectre thingy...hehe.

It seems like a trivial request, but I figured I should bring it up...I mean, either do what I suggested or make Garrus become a Spectre, because I believe he's the only other squadmate that deserves that title (except, don't make him die).

Also, I really like the idea of customizing the weapons. I believe a player should customize a given weapon (shotgun, pistol, SMG, assault, sniper, etc) like a player would customize armor in ME2.

You can refer to my post on this thread: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/103/index/4905371

Otherwise, keep doing the great work you are always doing! :)
