Well personally I don't really care about racing, but ship battles would be a nice element to add to the game. The Normandy itself and Joker would have a more active role, and that means more Seth Green (awesome dude) which is cool. Ship battles could range from actively arcadeish, to turn-based and cinematic, as seen on a great RPG of old - Skies of Arcadia.

Actual space exploration could be a nice touch, as well. RPGs have lost a lot of their exploration aspects over the last years, and having the whole universe as source material, Mass Effect 3 could bring it back with a bang. How cool would it be that when exploring uncharted space, the Normandy gets caught in a black hole or something? Or has first contact with an unknown species? The possibilities are huge.

If all that other guy wants are third-person shooting sequences, maybe he's got the wrong game. Go play MW2 or something.

"The possibilities are huge" ..... im reading soo many good ideas but fear none if not many will happen. Not only is their hardware limitations but the economy also gives us resource limitation. Monetary inflation is not something we should ignore.

Just completed yet another run through of ME2, this is simply an awesome game. Now waiting in anticipation for ME3!! Posted Image

I have an idea on how I personally could see ME3 improving, thought I would put it out there.

TEAM MORALE
Have a team morale scale that works similarly to the Paragon/Renegade. What this does is affect the team performance in a mission, higher morale will give the team better reactions slightly boosted powers etc and lower morale the exact opposite. Also depending on the Morale rating the Normandy could be dead quiet  from NPC’s (low morale) or you’ll hear conversations between NPC’s (like ME1/ME2) if moral is high.

Also the morale rating could end up effecting the final ‘showdown’ mission, similar to how the loyalty works in the Suicide Mission in ME2. A low morale could limit the options available to finish e.g. could ultimately decide whether you have to sacrifice yourself as you’re out of options etc. ;)

MISSION DEBRIEF
Following each Main Story Mission have a mission debrief in the Comms Room.

Following ‘Main story’ mission:
You could have the whole team present casting their opinion on the outcome/progress, not necessarily everyone will have an opinion, agreed, but certain team members could cast their opinion on the mission and in particular on certain paragon/renegade actions taken by you during the mission which you can then comment/dismiss in reply to.

Outcome of this debrief will improve/reduce team morale above.

(Perhaps also from here you can select a team member and opt to discuss other subject / AOB – here the team member can suggest you speak in private, which will at least let you know ‘there and then’ that you need to go and speak to them directly about a personal subject (rather than run about the ship). Obviously if Kelly returns, she can also let you know when not in a debrief.

Following ‘Loyalty missions’ / Main ‘side’ missions etc:
You could have just the team members present who were involved in the mission, perhaps only have a couple of lines from each on the outcome. Just for a bit of interactivity post mission.

Outcome of the debrief wouldn’t effect team morale as if a ‘loyalty’ system is used again this has enough effect on the individuals relationship with Shephard as is.

Mini missions (Merc bases etc.): No debriefs as such as these occur when stumbled upon and would have no direct affect on the story or individual characters.

The debrief could exist without the whole Morale system, just for me it’s about the team ethic and interactivity with team members which effects the end result and effectiveness of the team in the main story missions. (You can probably tell that I was impressed by the whole ‘loyalty’ aspect of ME2 – you get a real sense of getting to know each team member and in turn having a major effect on how the story showdown pans out.) Cheers

1. Tali's or atleast some sort of Quarians face! Whether you like Quarians or not, surely you must be interested in how their faces look?

No. I like the mystery that surrounds them. Right now Tali is a prime example of blind love. Though teasing us a bit more wouldn't be horrible (perhaps a disfigured face or broken helmet of some quarian)

2. Endings based on choices from previous two games and the third. This will be the case anyway i'd have thought, but it still needs to be mentioned. On a similar note I want to see plenty of different endings ranging from Super Good to Ultra Bad. Super Good would be Shepard saving the universe along with all his squad, topped off with marrying his LI. Ultra Bad would obviously be the Reapers winning the war and completing their mission.

Absolutely. There shouldn't be just 2 endings like KOTORs had. I'd say atleast 10 completely different endings. Best would probably be to have many small and seperate scenes instead of 1 long one. Plus it would be great if we could do decisions even after the ending

Maybe they can make it were you can see all of your teammates from a tv/computer in your room and make it were they do somthing funny, crazy, or sexy during certain times of the day(add day/night in game time) so that you only see it if you get to know their habits... kind of like the recordings you find in the DLC with lira being the new shadow broker....etc. They could add a com in your room so instead of walking to their room/workarea, you can com them to see what their doing or private com them to talk....

I think this is a great idea. You could call them from your cabin, and then either have them come see you (after all, you're the captain), or you could go see them. Less important conversations could be handled that way, and also, if the crew member were away from their usual location, you could just see a blank screen, or some part of their room. Call it Normandy Skype or something. All the same, I want to at least see the crew move around the ship. Also, I'd like to have the ability to give them "shore leave" when you get to a major hub world. The ones you don't take with you, might be dancing at Afterlife or shopping for weapons parts, etc. Would be cool to see.

I like Aisridil ideas regarding using a hidden team moral booster to effect relationships and choices rather then the para/ren meter. I also like his idea of main mission debriefings I miss that from 1 just having the whole crew together brainstorming sometimes it was tense but it still worked. Also loyalty mission briefings is a good add if I take Tali and Miranda on a mission for Thane then me + these people should at least go over it maybe Thane can say how he felt it went sense it was his loyalty mission after all.

I like the idea of multiple varying endings I liked the way of the samurai games for this reason though you replayed the nearly the same scenario of you stuck in a town depending on who you talked to and what actions you did ( who you killed, spared, or became a nuisance to) you could get up to 24 different endings while I'm not calling for that many maybe at least 3 one for para, ren, and neutral and not the same recycled cutscene with one or two add ins I mean vastly different.

I don't like the whole use your computer and talk to the crew maybe if its only for fun but for real discussion I'd still prefer face to face.

No class specific weapons, the ability to change your weapon specialties e.g. I trade my shotgun for an assault rifle then I get advanced training for a sniper rifle.

The ability to talk to and meet more hanar.

We didn't speak to a single one in ME2. LAME.

What ME3 needs... is definitely the ability to choose what weapons your Shepard is trained in. Don't get me wrong, I like the new Heavy Weaps, but I would personally like to take just one assault rifle and one pistol into battle, no matter what class (I'm a vanguard fan myself). Maybe even combine class skills even more? (A Vanguard with cloak would murder).

I like the idea of having more, a LOT more, crew/LI options. It wasn't fun asking Garrus how he was and getting the 'can it wait a minute, I'm calibrating' line over and over. Same with Joker and the mute button. I even read somewhere where there should be an 'invite all' option at the bar in Kasumi's quarters. Follow Shep's talk with Jacob: "The next Normandy, get a lounge".

Definitely a fan of multiple endings. If Shepard can die during the Suicide Mission, then the Reapers should be able to win the war and exterminate the galaxy. (Vigil did say it would take decades for total genocide). I'm not a fan of the "no matter what I choose the galaxy will be saved" choice.

Not a fan of the inventory system from ME1, so don't bring that back. But would be nice for some more powers, both for Shepard, and for squad mates. It was kinda lame that they only had 2 or 3 powers when Shepard could have up to 6.

Also a fan of the Normandy fights. I upgraded to the Thanix cannon as soon as I got Garrus and Mordin, and was hoping they'd use it when you first run into the derelict ship... but no. Seemed kinda silly.

Would like more customization options. For everything. I LOVE to customize.

Would like to be able to recruit all available crew members from ME1 & 2. Obviously some wouldn't be available: (Samara goes back to being a Justicar, and Liara has her new job, Wrex is doing his thing on Tuchanka), but would still be nice.

And finally... Armor? All armor needs to be customizable. I was really excited to get the blackstorm armor, and then I couldn't take the helmet off so I watched an emotionless red line every time my Shep talked.

My wishlist:

- 3 to 4 disc's so they can tell the amazing story they want to tell without taking away the things we love in the first 2. and we need the disc space for the multiple dialogue recordings due to who survives from both games, so our story can continue from the endings of 2 and our decisions we made in both dont get "forgotten" between games.

-60 level cap like in ME for more abilities and such.

-More Lance Henrikson and Keith David as both Admiral Hackett and Captain Anderson were barley in 2. and i love them both lol

- The crouch button.

-Mako/Hammerhead like vehicle sections that arent as awkward as the mako and as easy as firewalker.

- More of them Paragon/Renegade interactive moments :D

-A soundtrack that can rival or be better then Mass Effect 2 (which won't be easy as its amazing.)

-better health system, both the Medigel and the Regenerating health have their good and bad parts (quantity of medigels was a pain at times and the regenerating somtimes took me out of the excitment) so something in between.

-more of the Citadel

- A Thedas Cameo in one of the systems, as a planet that cant be landed on cos of primature lifeforms.

-Interactive CIC - like a interactive space battle, instead of flying and shooting, fighting using tactics and strageies. image the submarine like tension? might be an idea. or that of Battlestar galactica when facing the cylons you see lots of bits from inside the CIC with Adama, on the comms, would be interesting.

What I dont want to see:

-Tali to unmask casually, sure if you romance her but I find it more intriguing guessing what she looks like.

-Plannet scanning as it was in 2- at first i was like wow, then later i hated it, thankful for the completion bonus of resources. though I got to catch up on cd's I wanted to listen to while scanning which wasnt bad.

-no space battle things, I like the normandy as is and as we play commander shepard who is best at what he/she does depending on your chosen class and as a great Talkshow host ( like Trisha/Ricki Lake/Jeremey Kyle) solving peoples problems for them, we dont need him to be a hotshot pilot aswell, unless - we got to use the CIC idea as suggested above.

- A rushed game that fails to meet any of our wishes/expectations.

Saying that, with both wants and dont wants Ive every faith in Bioware- call me a fan boy but Mass Effect was brilliant and introduced me to RPGs and the Sequel well, its my favorite game of all time.

Now that meta-gel is mentioned can we at least up grade it like in 1 so I can hold more? I liked that option and while I'm at it grenades! Nothing solves problems like mini packed explosives!

I have yet to way in on Tali I romanced her and I can't decide if seeing her face or not would be good it would be hard to have her in a beautifully rendered alien form I think some people think she's purple others some contrast of white and light gray for artist terms 10% gray tone if they reveal some of it maybe she busts her visor and you get to at least see her eye and maybe some skin tone? I'd like it to be dramatic but not a dramatic Tali dies moment either.

The optional ability to bring 1 - 3 crew members with you but you're not forced to choose all three if I decide a mission only needs 1 person then I can pick them and say Ok I'm ready for my mission now and go if I under choose I die and then I'm stupid live and learn.

This was mentioned before but it hasn't come up for a while so when we go to safe ports like citadel and Illium we get to wear our casuals in otherwise when on a groundmission we get the armor.

And while I'm at it Mako and Toggle helmets!

-There should DEFINITELY have been some stores on Omega and either Illium or the Citadel selling casual outfits: casual/kinky on Omega, stylish/formal on Illium or Citadel. Maybe even some 3-part casual outfit system: body-legs-feet. Missed opportunity for ME2, but make it so in ME3!

-Helmet toggle is another thing that should be implemented in ME3. People don't spend an hour customizing their character just so they can look at a helmet.. It's logical under certain conditions. But outside battle, in a normal atmosphere, it should be optional.

-ME1's armor system was great, it was just the inventory system that wasn't too convenient to use. So yes, more variation in brands and quality variation within brands would be good. Combine it with ME2's texturing customization, and I'm sure people will be happy :)

-Make sure to keep the cover system!

-Keep a "movie-grain" option! (If you can do it, try to get ME1's movie grain)

-Many, many squadmates: as many as possible from the previous games, with some people we've known otherwise thrown in (Aria, Shiala, Capt. Anderson), or thrown them in as casual LI's for those who are on good standing with them.

Yes, quite some squadies will end up filling similar, if not identical, roles. That happens, but shouldn't stop people from just bringing along their favourites.

-Something for the long-time fans, those who played since ME1 (which could also work as an incentive to buy ME1 and play it all the way through, including ME2).

Like, remember Sha'ira? Remember the specific opportunity any Shepard, male or female had with her? I think it would be awesome if we met her again, with our little Asari daughter. The only one who might have a problem with it could be Ashley.

I probably posted in this thread sometime in my life before, but I honestly don't remember so I'm gonna post something again =)

- I want to see more of the Citadel. It's such a fascinating place to be in, I would just like to explore more of it in the third game.

- Even more hub cities! Each city we've seen so far has shown us something unique about one aspect of the galaxy. The more the better, since that just opens our view into the Mass Effect universe.

- Bring back planet exploration from the first game. It will be different this time though. We have the new Hammerhead, which actually controls pretty smootly so maybe that can be our exploration vehicle? Also make the environments more diverse. I could tell that Bioware was focusing on improving diversity for planets in ME2, but I think they can step it up a notch! I mean, come on it's Bioware =)

- I would like to see Earth also. I want to see how our planet looks like in the future.

- Have our love interest play a big role in the third game. That way it'll be more meaningful. I don't want them to be some random side-character thrown into the game.

- Bring back equipment, inventory, and weapon/armor custimization, but instead make it less clunky this time.

- For the decisions that carry over, please make them have more noticeable consequences. I don't like how in ME2, you just got a bunch of emails from people you helped in the first game.

- While we're at the topic of decisions, I would also like to have decisions from the FIRST game play a HUGE role. That just reinforces the fact that Mass Effect is suppose to be a trilogy, thus any of your actions might have dire effects one way or the other.

- We need to see an underwater Hanar city!

Perhaps it's a minor thing, but I'd like a way to rotate the Galaxy Map. Once I had multiple missions and assignments, I couldn't see the clusters at the back of the map, due to the "helpful" signage.

Also, please, Please, PLEASE, do not have Shepard dieing at the end as a story devise. If anyone can do the heroic sacrifice well it's Bioware, but especially after dieing at the start of ME2, I feel it would be.... annoying.

I like the idea of different clothing shops hidden through out hubs and planets some complete outfits would be neat but also ones that could mix and match to create a really neat look kind of like these:

http://www.animewild...vice550_504.jpg Mokoto's pants and jacket with a cyber or mesh top?

http://i891.photobuc..._designs_03.jpg make it all black w no badge cute outfit in principle

Would like a barber too but if you couldn't do that then just some better hair styles short, medium, long, sexy, ect

Big Citadel maybe expand on Illium and Omega maybe even random attacks or robbery attempts on Omega like 1 out of every 8 visits or something.

I'd like to see Aria given more due I helped her w/ Patriarch and was surprised by her shes more intriguing then I fist thought at fist I thought of her more as a thug with a superiority complex now I find her interesting and want to know more about her.

More fun add ons to the SB lair loved that every time I'd show up new vids would play I hope investment opportunities are timed so if I don't get them while they're hot they switch to new investments

Let me help Garrus thats pretty much all I can say this could be a good second reason to go to Palvin and spend a few days divided between him and Palvin officials also really want to explore even if I'm stuck in my suit due to high radiation maybe shep would need to live in an underground room in order to come out of suit or something and if I romanced him maybe meet the family and have issues there.

Like galaxy map rotation

Have convo skip and convo select on two different buttons so no mistakes in convo choices would be made.

Use para / ren interrupts only when appropriate in dialogue like hitting Krogan who objects infront of Shamen was great, interrupting Mordin on both occasions not. Also I liked on Omega being able to snipe the robot but why was this a bad choice? Killing off one enemy reduces their numbers it would be a good choice maybe for calls like this its just interrupt w/ no para/ren effect you just get to do it because its a good call.

All species home planets Hanar/Drell, Turian, Asari, Quarian, Human, and if I could even survive the landing Volus though this world seems doubtful. I'd like to see a second Asari city Illium was nice and interesting would like to see another also be able to go back to all worlds for side quests and for the hell of it.

Seeing some other species rituals would be neat either marriage or death would help add insight into world.

All I can say for this thread and for every mass effect fan.. keep the new stuff coming but add more customizing and exploration but take the levels and skill tree back to the way it was on me1.. was a heck of alot more fun deciding what skills you want to pick. but keep up the good job just be more imaginative.

This is probably one of the most inane things I have ever thought about, but I want people to throw Shepard a birthday party, dammit! Cake DLC (none of you, none of you say it)! You know, a thank you for being all of their personal psychologist--even to the actual personal psychologist on deck. S/he was born April 11. This needs to happen. Cake and noisemakers. And party hats shaped like salarian...head antennae...(?).

Cute birthday idea but not for the game it can stay in fan fics. The scene or idea does nothing to forward the story or major character development.

I agree the skill tree was better in 1 when you upgraded the powerups where auto present. You and your guns got and felt stronger in 2 I didn't like how no upgrades where in the blocks it was too short and when you got to the end you could either pick to do an Ariel or team affect and it really didn't feel strong or do alot of damage anyway. They need to bring back a more extensive tree with a few imaginative power ups and keep the ammo powers off that list we can have ammo powers but as addons to the guns like 1 did.

I know. As I said, particularly inane. Mostly, I'd like a bit more indication that a) Shepard is a person with emotions, B) the crew talk to each other and c) the crew actually gives a damn about Shepard when she's not actively fixing all of their problems.

Many people have asked for BW to show more of Shep the person rather then Shep the hero. In SB with one of the final talks with Liara she is concerned and asks nice questions regarding shep and his/her life it was a good step. One I hope to see more of. Any normal person going through as much as Shep has especially now with the Reapers getting so close would be showing signs of stress possibly even breakdown with not being able to mourn loss of self much less loss of crew if you killed them at the end I hope a scene or two with shep showing emotion that will be meaningful and help progress the story will show up. Also if a scene like this does arise I hope M and F shep handle them differently  Mshep might be violent at fist then crash while Fshep might just crash emotionally speaking.

completely disagree. Utterly and totally. I know you didn't mean it like this, and I'm really sorry if I seem caustic, but that's a kind of cruel way to enforce gender stereotypes. Women are emotional weepy wrecks and men are violent aggressors.

Yeah but I figured the guys would get upset if Mshep just started crying like Thane. I would prefer a good old fashion break down but some guys would rather fight before giving in.

Whereas girls don't fight, they just break down emotionally because they can't handle it? Unfortunate implications are unfortunate. This implies that FemShep is somehow weaker emotionally than ManShep, less aggressive (that's up to the player, and Shep's have the same dialogue options), or that crying is a weakness reserved only for female saviors of the galaxy.

We need to see more action in big, crowded areas, trying to determine who's friend and who's foe. Also, more life on said worlds and more life and vibrancy on the Normandy as well.
