Do you guys think they'll bring back exploding rounds? Unless they retconned that, I would very much like to see them return. I would also like them to bring back the pop-up shields the geth had in ME1.

I've recently started playing DAO thanks to all those on the boards who keep talking about it! So anyway in my attempt to figure out what they're referencing regarding this game one of the things I like is, like fable, being able to give gifts I have posted before about LI giving you unique gifts based off who they are ie Tali gives different Quarian style items where as Miranda gives flashy modern tech items that only LI involved players will get.

But now I'm thinking why not extent this to both give gifts to LI and friends on ship and it improves their relations with you more dialogue choices, better combat, and maybe it even opens up different sidequest missions that vary per person like Garrus gets an old Csec buddy who contacts him on a crisis evolving that brass wont handle and asks him and Shep to stop it before it snowballs or Legion gets word on a heretic geth or reaper ship that needs taking out but if you didn't give him 3 gifts or something you don't get this sidequest and gifts would be kept or rejected by character like give Garrus wall climbing gloves and he'll reject it nicely but give those gloves to Kasumi and she loves them. Your friends would also give you items only they can give you throughout the game if you keep a high count with them the meter would be invisible but you'd know if you where ok or great depending on their reactions and so forth neglect people enough and they either leave/ demand a transfer, demand your attention, or later betray you if curtain conditions are met.

Can we have the ninja armor from MGS4? Not as a reserve game prize or DLC but ingame for those who buy the game with helmet toggle? Or what about a Riddick armor outfit http://blogs.coventr...sel Riddick.jpg for 3?

Longer main story quest please! I just played latest Assassins Creed and it was short! I thought I was in the middle of the game and I was at the end! That was so disappointing I’m really considering returning it and I preordered it! Please make the main story of 3 long and memorable I’d like to have a subboss with multiple encounters like Saren before hunting down I assume Harbinger and doing a few run ins before the end battle of the 1million reaper army.

Maybe sense the reapers are coming we can board different styles of reaper ships and take them down on side missions sense they’ve conquered many races maybe we board one and it starts to crash and we’re fighting while its descending and after it crashes we have to swim and fight our way out of the sinking ship onto an alien world or something. Maybe even do a mission while we’re trapped and waiting for evac on same world.

For anomalies or distress signals maybe once we enter a universe it pings EDI says anomaly and highlights the planet its on so we can look if we want or ignore also if it’s a distress signal she can say I have detected a signal would you like to hear it if we say yes she plays the audio and highlights the world its coming out of.

Stronger shotgun, slow mo for all sniper guns, longer lasting cloaking device, longer lasting shields, improv cover please give few chest high walls if I’m storming a base it maybe applicable like I’m on the stair case otherwise let me flip over tables if I’m in the lunch room different things like that.

The ability to have biotics or for non biotic sheps to command biotics in team to destroy suspicious walls to gain access to new pathways with in the levels don’t highlight the walls and make them obvious for players who know to look for a slightly out of place wall or object they’ll find it and blow it up would be a nice add on if some levels don’t do this technique for all or it will get repetitive. If we go into prothean ruin sights this maybe a good thing to add.

Speaking of Prothean ruin sights please but them in main and sidequest.

No loyalty quest if characters have specific worth wild exploits factor them into the games main story for instance Tali and the Geth main quest Garrus and his family on Palvin factor it in give them the time and pacing they deserve but factor them into the story I thought Thane, Grunt, Miranda, and Jacob where all fillers and did not need to be in the game. The loyalty missions I thought that where well executed that could’ve or should I say should’ve been auto added to the main story plot was Kasumi maybe taking Hock down does major damage in 3 at least her Grey Box does at any rate, Garrus a well executed story his was added into story of 1 why didn’t you just do it again for 2?, Tali same her’s was added in 1 but not direct add to main story in 2?, Mordin would’ve been a nice main add especially sense its dealing with the genophage and maybe a major stone in 3, Samara just a very interesting mission would’ve been a nice main story add to me, and Jack same could’ve been a well done add in maybe even affecting Cerberus or the Alliance with info obtained at center or something.

I’m liking the random chatter in DAO it seems like every 5 – 15 min some one or two squad members are talking to each other Alistair was giving Morgan a quiz once I had to stop and listen to them sense I was not expecting him to out of the blue do this and he’s VA was convincing it giving you the impression he had really been thinking of this question to pose to her for a long time. I’d like squad members in 3 to talk more to each other and if I click A (for xbox) on them they’ll talk to me too. I don’t like how in 2 I have to search for the blue box to get them to talk to me only once did Tali and Garrus talk to each other w/o a prompt I liked that I wish there was more of it.

Grenades and crouch please!

Make dialogue skip and dialogue select two separate buttons not the same one for instance if on xbox skip was blue I could hit it all I want and the dialogue showing on screen wont be picked until I hit green.

Now as far as some recent post responses:

I liked tinkering w/ the guns in 1 I'm no expert on that end but it was still a nice touch they didn't go overboard in the tweaking factory like some race sims do but anyhow I'd like that back and the ability to have more armor styles and patterns I didn't like having only 2 and I also didn't like bright pink it works for Ugly Shepard but I'm not so sure it should show itself on a battle field.

Larger free roaming environments like 1 in port, on ground, and in missions both main and side.

Yes to Earth and all homeworlds make them large, free roaming, interactive, and revisitable unless the reapers ate them.

I agree the codex needs to read to you but in my case all the time because type 1 font is damn hard to read.

Yes longer fast sprints in non combat zones with no fatigue if in combat faster 1 style speed with some fatigue. I liked how it was done in 1 I don’t like 2 in combat or not.

all I want to do is punch that reporter again.

Also, I hope they keep the ability wheel cut down(where teammates have only 2, not like ME1).

One thing I would love from ME1 is the ability to upgrade your Charm/Intimidate skills again. The first time I played ME2, I was 50/50 on my paragon/renegade meters and couldn't get back Jack's loyality because I had to be straight paragon or renegade up until the suicide mission(I eventually learned how to do it though even without someone's loyality). :bandit:

yeah, I agree here, I get the idea behind tying charm and intimidate to you karma meter, but as a gameplay mechanic it just doesn't work very well IMHO.

Just read that some people don't like the end mission report screens (because it detracted from the immersive atmosphere), personally i thought they were quite good as they gave you information about the consequences of your actions and a little background into the characters. I can see the other point of view so why not go middle of the road.

Once you've completed a mission you end up back on the ship, where your secretary then says that a Mission Report has been forwarded to your personal terminal, where you can read it at your leisure without detracting from the immersive atmosphere.

I!d like mainly following:
1)ME1 exploration - not swmaller and definitely not more guided. (Mako was good and well controllable - not a problem with it)
2)heat sinks either out or with cooldown.
3)Upgardes/Mods for weapons and armor
4)Weapons,Armor and upgrades in various levels - ME1 style
5)Inventory back, but fixed - one item multiple times =>one line with quantity ; and easier time comparing various versions and models
6)ammo types as mod not ability
7)Bigger Citadel
8)Increase difficulty back to ME1 levels - Reaper from ME 2 was way too easy
9)Ability to save even in vehicles(when no enemy nearby/not in combat zone) and ability to exit them. (Missions with Hammerhead where you had to do them at once with only level loading checkpoints were one of the most difficult and repeated missions)
10)Fixed labels on galaxy map so they don!t overlay other  sectors and their labels.
11)Collection bonus-sidequests with better reward/followup - maybe new kodex entries?
12)Maybe small autoaiming from ME1 (mainly consistency - or did they downgraded?)
13)Better and logical placement of Weapon Lockers (What,Locker at Collectors ship with all my weapons???)

But I doubt I'll see majority...

i want to see more interactions with teammates

the loyalty you earn or lose to play a good effect *like dragon age*

i also want to be able to kill the council or at least take on Cerberus

and most important i want to be able to say I TOLD YOU SO to the council when the reapers show up shove it in there face sort of speak

also think the option of letting humanity survive in exchange of you helping the reapers or you betray the council or humanity for your own good

Five Things I Would Like To See...

1. More rpg elements, particularly less shooting and more exploring. More customizable inventory and attributes layout similar to ME1.

2. The unmasking of Tali

3. Less linear levels. Let me explore more.

4. An ending where the Reapers complete another cycle successfully if you totally neglect upgrading.

5. No time travel where Shepard goes back in time. Corny and overdone

6)OK,different setting, but it shouldn!t be as ability. (Maybe more upgrade slots for ammo-type so changing between two ammo is in-game) - with access to inventory during the fight/mission restricted,save-style
12)In ME sniper rifle was purely manual aimed, while rest of weapons had small (only in targeting triangle around enemy) autoaim. Not that I play on consoles or something to need autoaim... ;)
13)Well,it could contain different weapons replacing that pile of guns.

Another thing: I vote we have a minigun as a heavy weapon. We have a portable nuke, why no nonstop barrage of death? The overheat would fit perfect for it

Edit: It seems like it would fit Wrex perfect

My new List,

I'm not sure if i wrote one already (I probably did) but these are the more actual wishes:

- Customizeable Armors for all SM and specific weapon-upgrades suiting their class
- No One-Man/Woman-Show: --> Gather neccesary allies and the military for the Fight and gain their loyality if you don't have it already through your actions in ME1 and ME2 (Council Fleet, Alliance, the Shadow-Broker, Geth, Flottila, Rachni, Krogan and their troops etc.)
- Possibility to visit Palaven, Thessia, Kahje and Rannoch
- NO HAMMERHEAD (if a vehicle is needed: MAKO 2.0)
- More free-roaming while exploring
- A broad range of planet-specific plants and animals on all planets and they should look more alien, each planet in ME2 looked like a pacific island with the same animals.
- i like to see how the quarians look like without the suit, even if in a indirect way: through a statue or painting on their homeworld or on the flottila
- a solution for the geth/quarian conflict
- Female Turians and possibly children of each species on the homeworlds and colonies (for more realism and immersion and NO, i don't need the possibility to kill them (like demanded by some in Fallout 3)

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST: I'd like to see the Council's Faces when the Reaper armada is entering Council Space.

I haven't posted here for a while but here is my thoughts:

-Lots and lots of tough choices. I don't want it to be a simple case of strolling through the game without any hard decisions. For example choosing between saving Earth and your LI.

-More heartwrenching situations. i.e. The end of Overlord DLC

-Tali's face please!

-Multiple endings along the lines of: Perfect(everyone survives, Reapers defeated, Shepard settles down with LI) all the way down to massive failure(everyone dies, Reapers are victorious)

-A chance to punch the Illusive man

-Female versions of other races

-Massively epic CGI Space Battles similar in size to the Dominion Wars scenes in Star Trek DS9

-No loose ends! This is the most important. I don't want to get to the end of the game only to have Bioware say 'We've left this and that open ended so the player can imagine what happened.' Give us closure on EVERYTHING!

-Homeworlds of all the Citadel races.

As much as I enjoyed the soundtrack to ME 1 & 2, the spacey sci-fi techno suited the game very well, can definetly be improved. If you listen to any electronica/dance music or any real club music then its obvious that there is much better sounding music that mass effect seemed to be trying to achieve. Like deadmau5 !!

IF DAFT PUNK CAN DO THE SOUNDTRACK TO THE TRON MOVIE, THEN WHY CAN'T VIDEO GAME, MUSIC WHERE A GOOD, CATCHY SOUNDTRACK IS EVEN MORE IMPORTANT THAN A MOVIE. WHY CAN'T MUSICIANS ,LIKE DEADMAU5, WORK ON VIDEO GAME SOUNDTRACKS

I just wanted to say thanks! This topic has turned into a huge thread, and every one of you have some really good ideas for the third Mass Effect. I really hope that Bioware will take keen attention to this topic and really help make this game shine. Remember, this isn't about judging what other people want! It's just a wishlist!

Mass effect is hands down the very best game I've ever played. I enjoyed the trilogy so far and look forward to the next more than ever. I'm creating this topic as a goal for the community to reach out to Bioware to make mass effect 3 the very best it could ever be. ME2 Seemed to suffer a little bit in areas that ME1 thrived in. These are a few things that I personally would love to see in mass effect 3. Although I'm well aware we all would like different things, it'd be great to have a few things back from ME1. Things that really made it shine, and possibly some new elements in the mix as well. I feel as if ME2 has gone too far into the FPS-Action only, and will probably have hardly any RPG aspect in ME3. If we don't correct it soon, it'll be too late. With that said, here's some things that I would love to see in ME3 to really give us that RPG feel.

Give us levels that make us feel like we've accomplished something! (VERY IMPORTANT!)

What's the point in leveling up a character when you don't unlock
something for getting there, or have a harder time fighting something as
you level up. Let me give you an example. This game levels you up very
well but you have no challenges. Enemies seem to stay at an incredibly
balanced difficulty throughout the game. It'd be nice to have enemies
outside of your level that are too difficult to kill, or much harder.
Another thing would be level requirements for certain ship upgrades,
guns, ammo, armor, etc. Give us the illusion that the higher the level
we are, the stronger we are! IMHO there was no
sense of this in ME2, and half the upgrades we got we never noticed.

Bring back the Inventory (upgradeable sizing)

Theres always a good feeling knowing what's in your backpack. RPG gamers love looting! It's always exciting to pick up something that may, or may not be better than what you currently own. Another aspect of that great RPG feel could be to upgrade our bag size. Looting objects and selling them at different markets would be great. For instance selling something at OMEGA could be more valuable than at the Citadel.

Upgradeable weapons/armor (The NEW fasioned way)

I don't really like the new weapon upgrades as much as the first ME. I think that for ME3 something completely different would be great for everybody who enjoys this game. Give us content! Perhaps a new sniper rifle barrel, or a different scope/zoom distance. Magazine size/Ammo size. ETC. Something that really can make our weapons UNIQUE! Everyone can have the highest upgrade, but with this method of customization there's many more ways to enjoy killing the reapers!

Where did the vehicle go!? Please. . . Give it back!!

I loved the driving aspect of the game. It really gave you a sense of how large the game was. It mad me feel cramped having to walk around everywhere. I'm not exactly sure why, but for some reason whenever I got into the vehicle the game just felt that much bigger to me. I loved it. It may not have driven the best, but it sure was a great part to the game. I heard of talk about them creating a vehicle, but I've completed the game, and explored every planet with no success of driving one, nor did I see a place where one could be used.

Please, Make the citadel larger.

This one is crucial to me, but I'm not sure how this strikes other gamers. I really enjoyed the citadel in ME1, not soo much in ME2 though. It seemed a lot smaller and the fact that it was just a bunch of levels on top of each other wasn't much for me. I really enjoyed being in the Citadel in ME1 and loved to explore the life in it. The Citadel in ME2 seems lifeless, just a bunch of shops and levels. I guess it's hit or miss on this one with the community, but I though I'd point it out.

While doing missions, make them less linear.

Hard to get lost during a mission, it always felt like a hallway leading with doors to the objective. DON'T get me wrong, I don't feel as if the game is linear, but 80% of the mission are. There's usually only one way to go, one way to complete it, and one way in/out. Open it up! we want to explore!

Keep the Normandy just as exploreable/vehicle

Another big one for me. I think it'd be great to have the normandy land on a planet, walk down to the cargo hold, get into a vehicle, and drive it out onto the unexplored planet. Something tiny, but it's this attention to detail that really makes a game shine!

More Normandy fights!

In ME2 we don't really use the upgrades for anything at all. We spend thousands and thousands on mats upgrading our ship. . . and for what? A quick dodge at the end of the game? I wanted to really see how the upgrades worked, all I seen was it go through some debree. Some dogfighting would be great.

Give us Earth! If ME3 really is the end of the trilogy (better not be!) than at least let us explore our homeplanet. Have the reapers invade it or something. I duno, just bring earth into the picture. I want to see it in the future.

Keep this as the best game I've ever played, just put some more RPG elements into it!

I hope this can be stickied, and we can all come together as a community to make Mass Effect 3 the best game to ever be released. . . . Until ME4-100 of course. :)

I personally would like to be able to explore other star systems, like when you go to travel to another system without the relay, it brings you to the view of the Nebula. Maybe go to any of the random stars in it? I mean, it would appear pointless, because a lot of them might not have planets, but even then, maybe you could find a derelict Prothean Space Station! And also, I am very intrigued over the Protheans, and all the other ancient races that you hear about, but never really get to see much from. I really hope BioWare decides to add a lot more history on a lot of the races, even though they were wiped out by the Reapers.

They really need to bring back the conversation investment skill so we can just throw a few points into it and be able to play as we want, instead of having to like rigidly stick to one path
