I second that and wish to add the chance for a wedding / bonding ceremony of some sort whether it be Shep's or (FOR THE ***** THAT LET SHEP DIE IN TWO) who ever takes up the cause if Shep did not make it.

ME3 would be the best if if had multiplayer. I like the idea of co-op. You can play as either your Shepard ( but he would be a parthner in somebody else's game, similar to Fable ). You still can make choices but most of the choices would be with the primary player. 2-3 players should be the max as that is the most people you can normally have on a mission. Throw in some made for co-op missions and your golden. Think of it like a improved Fable henchman system.

Competitive multiplayer would also be nice if its good. I mean, as long as it doesn't hurt the quality of single player ( which I don't think it will since bioware has no set deadline to finish the game ) another game mode never hurt anybody. If you don't like it, then just don't play it.

(I posted this in another topic but I feal this is much more usefull)

Mass Effect is not about multiplayer; it never has been.  co-op doesn't seem that appetizing to me either, there are plenty of other shooters out there that have that mechanic and it's not compatible with how Mass Effect plays anyway (co-op would kill interactions with your party and make it feel meaning-less.)

According to rumors apparantly Mass Effect 3 is going to be a multiplayer spin-off and focus on "Call of Duty features." This is the worst gaming news I've heard for a long time and I don't think Mass Effect was ever meant to be even co-op.

I just hope it sticks to how it is going now and they carry on, if they left all of the features the same and just concentrated on character development/relations and plot-lines I'd be happy.
By the way the rumors are from here: http://uk.xbox360.ig.../1135527p1.html

but, still....oh, please be wrong..please......PLEASE>>>>>!!!!!

Bioware, I've been a fan of you for so many years, such a loyal fan. How could you do this? WHY would you do this??

Oh God. OHH GODD!! Kotaku says it too. Oh my, Bioware if your listening, HOW COULD YOU??

It's ok, even if it is true, I don't blame you.

EA, those corporatists just looking to make a quick buck. HOW DARE YOU!!

First they destroyed Command and Conquer now this?? WHY? OH WHY??

Soulless totally soulless, all they care about is what will make more money and CoD would make more money. Artistic perfection isn't important to them. No. It's all about the money.

Fable 3 has done co op too but you need to be on live and connected inorder to do it. At least 1 demon door requires you to have co op in order to open it and sense I don't do that I'll never open that door which is dumb. But it does not effect normal game play so if BW has 3 do this hopefully they make a second realm way away from the game so co op people can do a level or so and the main game is left alone so those not wishing to be in the co op world can stay out of it.

I really hope multiplier and co op aren't in 3. The game wasn't made to be multi/co op or fps if later on BW wants to do spin offs like Lucas has done for his many many SW world then they can do that 3 needs to stay rpg and finish the story 1 started.

I dunno who reads these but I have few ideas for characters that might be interesting:
Hanar Sentinel: It would compensate for its race's slow speed by using biotics to lower its mass and wear tech enhanced armor with jets or other accelerating devices. It should be able to use its poison on enemies at close range and maybe launch missiles for long range. I would love to see it have a very quick version of pull for biotic abilities and maybe stasis if they decide to bring it back. I personally am not a fan of stasis but it makes the most sense for a character of this build. I'm not sure what sort of actual "weapons" it would possess but if I could get my way entirely the aformentioned rockets would be a power and it would have an tentacle attachment pistol and a back mounted SMG. As for backstory an interesting possibility would be that it is the prodigy of a militant branch of the overarching Hanar philosophy that has accepted and prepared for the return of the Reaper for decades if not centuries. Another possibility is that it is the last survivor of said branch and that the rest were slaughtered by the Collectors. Or it is alone in its conviction and has been repairing and incorporating Prothean artifacts into it's armor making it the most wanted criminal in Hanar space. In terms of personality it would interesting to have it be a Thane-esque holy warrior affect but replace the repressed guilt and jaded stoicism with fresh zeal and hanar politeness
Asari Soldier: I know that it might seem strange but that is precisely the reason why it intrigues me. All squad asari that have been seen so far have been biotics. Now I recognize that Aria T'Loak may already be a squad member for ME3 (and if she isn't then she makes a promising candidate in my untrained eyes) and another asari might unbalance the racial scatter but then again the proportion of humans to other races has always been in the human's favor so why not have repeat of other races? Anyway. Asari soldier. Her powers/abilities would all depend on the formating of ammo and general leveling scheme but if she focused on one weapon in particular I would advocate for it being the sniper rifle (simply because I like sniper rifles). In terms of history I think that a compelling story would be that she was born without biotic powers which is unheard of before in asari history. Her mother (a fugitive, fleeing in a stolen ship from a Justicar but crashed said stolen ship accidentally into Tuchanka before the Krogan were used in the Rachni Wars) abandoned her with her Krogan father. She fought on the krogan side in the Krogan Rebillions and, through living with them, thinks of herself largely as a krogan more than an asari. During the Rebellion I could see her as infiltrating asari commando units and taking them out from the inside or perform counter-intelligence mission that the general krogan soldiers would never think to perform. After the war was over it is possible that remaining krogan leaders accused her of secretly supporting the asari and to show her loyalty she aquired genetic rewrites to give her redundant organs or even some epidermal krogan features like a modified head structure more reminscant of the krogan archtype. In terms of personality she should hate other asari and act very very male possibly modifying her body to look male or, barring that, simply be muscular. I envision her as possibly falling for Wrex if her appearance is lacking in masculine rewrite.

Quarian Vanguard (or Sentinal): I recognize that it might be an undertaking to formitable to create Hanar skins and animations to an easier answer to the Sentinal spot would be a Quarian. But if the Hanar was used for the Sentinal as I would dearly like to see a Quarian would make a logical Vanguard or Adept. What really confused me able ALL the previous games is that a biotic Quarian is never seen. If biotic abilities are caused by fetal exposure to element zero (or by being an asari) then I would think that quarians would have the highest number of biotics of any race. They spend the most time around ships than any other race and all ships have very large concentrations of element zero in them by necessity. More importantly the Quarian ships are in constant need of repair which would seem to me would nearly constantly expose any passengers to element zero by virtue of leaks or other problems. Maybe Quarians don't have nervous systems. That would make their lack of biotics make sense. I dunno about personality or backstory for a Quarian (because I don't even know what class to put him or her into) but anything could really do.

1) Custamizable ship- I like the idea of getting upgrades, but I want to be able to see them. Could be anything from a new gun on the exterior to leather seats in your personal room.

2) The introduction of some new races- Who doesnt love meeting a new alien everyone once in a while.

3) Landing on home planets- I would love to be able to land on more planets such as the turians or others. We have seen the Krogans, now show us the rest.

4) All old, plus new squadmates- You can argue that a bigger cast will lead to some never being used, but I like seeing the ships crew expanding with unique members.

5) BRING SAREN BACK- I know this will probably never happen, but I loved the guy so much. Go back, scoop his brains up, and pop him in your own customizable robot crew member.

6) More space hampsters- "nuff said

7) !Mass Effect Zombies!- Its been the latest craze, so why stop now. After the credits roll by, drop you and your fellow crew members on various places like the citadel or omega and fend off various waves of the undead aliens, whilst trying to keep your crew alive.

I'll probably think of more, but its getting late and I am tired.

As for game mechanics I would like to see the following:

-Combat and Weapon Modifications: I loved the shooter elements in ME2. I'm an overall RPG fan but ME1, while it was an amazing game and I loved it dearly, could get very frustrating at times. I died far too easily especially when playing a Sentinal. Even if a player had shooter skills they were largly irrelevant. With the immersive combat of the second game I was able to enjoy combat to a far greater degree. So as far as weapons go I think a hybridization would be the most enjoyable. I did not like how all weapons of the same type were nearly identical in ME1 and I thought the system in ME2 was a vast improvement. I also disliked the leveling weapons in ME1. What I did like in ME1 was the upgrade system. In ME2 I was dissatisfied with the ammo powers as class features. I would like to see the upgrade system return. However in it's returned state I would like to see it visually change the weapons it is equiped onto. If I put a barrel extension on my sniper rifle I would like to see a longer barrel. The upgrade should also not level and should not increase general damage unless they reduce some other quantity. Differant should change damage. I liked the number of ammo types in ME1 and, as I earlier voiced, was dissappointed in the quality of their return. I like the idea of finding ugrades but I think that the player should select from a fairly limited pool, or have predetermined ones based on their class and history, of upgrades and ammos to start with. Ammos and upgrades should also be avaliable to the squad as a whole. But, seeing as the original premise of upgrades, and items in general, being that they blueprints stored on the omni-tool, concrete objects, ever upgrade should be universally equipable. On a side noteI saw little difference in the shotguns but I never used them much anyway.

-Leveling: I thought that leveling in both games was actually equal. I didn't really like either very much. A hybrid would be something I would like to see very much. I posit a 10 level system with more powers. Every 2 or 3 levels you should be able to take the power down a different path. I think it would be amazing for classes to be customizable. You would select from preexcisting archtypes then get a skeleton which tell you that you can have X many biotic, combat or tech abilities and flesh it out from there. If the spilt at levels of power is too complex I would like to see the specialization occur here in the initial creation. It would make for extremely different expiriences every play through. I think that the advanced training could be done away with if this was implemented. Each class should also have four powers that no other class can get and choose two. For Vanguard, as an example, I would posit this example: Charge, Blade (close combat weapon that can be toggled on or off, does little damage to shields, armor or barriers but automatically kills unprotected enemies), Vortex (pulls nearly enemies towards you for a set duration) and Guide (paints enemy then all shots home in on them like a power allowing you to shoot enemy over cover)

-Power Usage: Firstly let me say that the power usage style in ME2 was an immeasurable improvement over ME but it could be improved just that much more. I have three general ideas. First allow combining powers. I want to be able to use a Incinerating Overload against a YMIR and take out both it's shield and armor simotaneously. Then head-shot it with my long-scope improved-sight armor-piercing Widow. I'm a man of simple tastes. Second I would like to have powers that affect multiple targets and be able to choose which targets they affect. This would obviously only be accessable from the bumper menu but well worth the pause. Third, all the previous suggestions would simply increase the recharge time. I think that there should be a base version of a power that simply pressing the Y, or either of the bumpers would give you but I also think that you should be able to charge the powers by pressing and holding the hotkey and zoom simotaneously or some other mechanic. This might or might not increase recharge time because the charge already increased the time. Anyway.

-Vehicles and Quests: They died too easily. Exploring in the Mako was just annoying to me and repairing it was rather annoying too. I liked the Hammerhead better, which is to say that I intensely disliked the Hammerhead. If a vehicle was make an appearance I would like a mongoose like vehicle. One from which you can use your own weapons and powers and your squad can bike along behind you. Races would be fun in that venue. That being said I think most people agree that the mission structure of ME2 was a vast improvement. I liked the unique layout of every one and very much disliked how there were really only two types of extra-primary buildings to fight in. I would like to see forest combat very much. There is very little foliage in either Mass Effect and that saddened me. If Ship-to-Ship battles are included in ME3 missions from the perpective of other characters also need to be included because Joker (or so I hope) will always pilot the Normandy and if you can take control of Joker, and no one else like in ME2, which struck me as profoundly distriminatory, you should be able to take control of other characters. To expand on that idea as well as the idea of having more than a three member squad, which is a good idea but also a bad one, the taxing on the system with the extra friendly AI might be too much, if you relegated responcibiliy of a second squad to a different character and then played as that character within that squad to perform a different task within the mission. It would add great depth and be very enjoyable in my opinion. The effect of the other squads actions on the squad you are playing would be amazing to see. I wish this mechanic had been implemented in both Virmire and the Collector Base.

-Love Interests: Homosexual relationships PLEASE!!! I'm a firmly heterosexual male but who doesn't love a little lesbian action that isn't with an alien? Not that I have anything against Liara or Shiara but some of my more xenophibic Shepards do. I also would appreciate man-to-man sexual relations because it is unfair to exclude anyone. I wouldn't mind love interests having the potential to die or being used against you in a hostage situation as long as the ability exists to save them I will be happy. Marriage would be nice is everyone survives. I would love to the marriage ceremony to Miranda with Ashely in attendance. Things would get shot up. Or the marriage to Jack with no one special in attendance. Things would get shot up. All love interests should be explorable in ME3 if they were all not I know many people who would be sorely dissappointed. There is no accounting for taste. I liked the sex scenes in ME1 much better than ME2 but I would be fine with ME2-esque scenes if they were all that is avaliable. I would also like to see intro-squad relationships. For instance, Jacob and Kasumi. I would like to walk in on them kissing and have Kasumi swear then turn invisible and leave.

-Hub Worlds and Normandy: More mundanity. People live in these places and people do not simply stand and do the same things constantly. I would love to see people move around, buy food, eat food, buy drinks, drink, sleep, work and do the hundred things that people do every day. Either bigger hub worlds or hub worlds of the same size that do not pretend to be bigger than they are. I do NOT want another Omega where there is one apartment in the whole space avaliable to explore. That actually made me very angry. Anyway. Upon the Normandy I think it would be very worthwhile to have the squad members move around and interact with eachother and you may actually have to search them out once in a while. On the topic of the Normandy I like the idea of ship-to-ship battles and the ability to upgrade and change the Normandy. I'm not sure where it would be implemented but I like the idea. And if the Normandy is damaged it will affect it's performance with regard to fueling and probe speed and have to be prepared. Speaking of probing I have to say that I liked scanning and don't know what all the hate is about. The armor system for ME2 was a great improvement over the system in ME but I think a system similar to the weapon system I posited would improve the armor situation. I also think that squad members should have access to a similar, albeit limited, version of the same customizibility.

1)I want the option to buy a round bed

2) We'll probably see the Raloi at some point in the game, I'm almost positive. I mean, they're in the wiki...

3) Naturally and somewhat cliché, i want to go to Earth.

4) Anderson might be one, but i doubt it. For some reason, I'm really feeling that Aria will be one

5) His brains became fertilizer, if you couldn't tell already

6) Yes, and name one of them Schmooples (reference to Dragon Age)

7) It's a stretch, but you could say the husks are zombies...

It would be awesome if the reapers needed to rocover something from Earth to help with their invasion and you had to convince other alien races to pull together to stop the reapers invasion. or ultimately destroying Earth yourself to save the rest of the galaxy. Talk about a hard decision. Try and defend Earth with various results, or destroy what the reapers are looking for and possibly Earth.

I think coop done like Red Dead Redemption would be cool. Something seprate from the campaign, you meet in a sand box style Citadel, where you would have all sorts of shops and minigames open and bounties or somekind of mission board. I think that would be the best way to bring coop to ME.

The Galaxy map is stupid. Thousands of years in the future, and you are telling me we cant put a search engine on it. Google maps = Google galaxy.

I posted this list(at least 1-8)(9-13 were added 11/28) about week ago and never got opinion on what the other Mass Effect fans out there think of my list. i have thought of a couple more things

what i think they need to add in ME3, heres my list

1. Keeping the variety of weapons and armor of ME3 but add a few more styles, make it where u purchase them from Merchants(like in DAO or ME1)
2. Bring back all ME2 characters(including DLC characters)
3. Bring back Wrex, Liara and Kelenko/Williams(Wrex and Kelenko/Williams depends on decisions in ME1)
4. Bring in 2 more new chrarcters. Posible canidates, War hardened Turian(somewhat like Zaeed), another human making him a Explosive/Heavy Weapons specialist (brings a second character that can use heavy weapons besides Shepard) Another Quarian, Kal Reegar a good canidate.
5. The open galaxy map, collecting sources, and anomallies should stay and making the planets u land on a more open world(like KOTOR or Fable 3)
6.Make the team of 4 rather tha team of 3
7. Have a mission where the Normandy is boarded but u actually fight
8. Have a full scale battle where u are fighting with all teammates/Alliances(not necessarily controlling all of them)
9. I want to see Earth and What it looks like this far in future
10. Bring in some new alien races
11. Transition the love intrests into ME3(like with tali and liara in ME1 to ME2)
12. More vehicle missions maybe involving the Normandy
13. I would also like to see Anderson back in the main plot

I know I'm supposed to only be adding ideas and not criticizing the ideas of others, but this is getting ridiculous.  (Not to mention, I've already made several comments in this thread over the past month.)

Why do people keep asking for all of the old squadmates for ME3? Sure I liked just about every single squadmate and found each one's backstory interesting in both ME and ME2, but it just doesn't make sense for a few of the squadmates to rejoin us!

Wrex:   We shouldn't get Wrex back on our squad because...
1.) he's old
2.) we got Grunt
3.) he's trying to unite the clans under Clan Urdnot, a task of great importance

Liara:  We probably** shouldn't get Liara back on our squad because of the whole ordeal with LOTSB (not gonna spoil anything).
**I said "probably" because there might be a way to work it out so that she joins the squad.  Personally, I don't care either way, but it seems like a lot of ME fans really want Liara to return as squadmate/LI for ME3.  It wouldn't necessarily do any damage storywise to bring her back as a squadmate, the LOTSB thing just needs to be handled appropriately.

Ashley/Kaidan:   Whichever one survived Vmire on ME1 should return as squadmate for ME3.  I don't see any reasons why he/she wouldn't return as a squadmate.

ME2 Squadmates:   It seems like most, if not all, ME2 squadmates should return as squadmates in ME3 as long as they survived the last mission, of course.  However, it might be okay if certain squadmates had business to take care of early in the game and left the squad for part of the game or something.

^ I agree with you on Wrex for your #3 he is already providing a greater service (at least in my opinion) to Shep now as apposed to being on his team sure Grunt kinda feels like a Wrex replacement but unless Grunt wants to switch places with him I really see no reason Wrex should physically join the crew.

Same with Liara unless her new office gets blown up and all the info seized by the Reapers I don't see her joining physically the crew.

Also I still vote for the more potential recruits then can fit on the ship so far BW has made X amount of recruits that we have to go with sure I know you could just skip recruiting them but skipping them and actually getting someone else besides them is two separate things. I'd be fine w/ Ash/Kaiden coming up for recruitment along with all the ME2 crew minus Thane (too ill or dying), Samara (went to do her Justicar duties), and possibly Kasumi (would rather have her but like she says not much call for thievery in our line of work) We know all these people their strengths and weaknesses so it'd be easy for the player to pick from them all and literally customize what crew they take to the fight. I hope BW adds in one or two new 3 characters for those who kept their squad alive to pick if they want to and for those who killed off multiple squad members new 3 people would just have to be created but I'd like to do away with pre slot selections or lock the ship rooms until its occupied sort of thing if only 7 people can fit on the ship them player can really hand pick those 7 from squad mates from 1,2, and 3 mix and match how they see fit not how company sees fit.

Oh yes and while I'm posting continue the romances established in 2 make them more meaningful in actions and dialogue and yes more ME1 style love scenes no to black outs!

possible spoilers

there's 2 main things i wanna have addressed in ME3, plus oen extra but it's really not that important

1. i know this is a small detail, but for the love of god take shep's class choice into consideration for cutscenes and dialogue.

If I'm playing as an Adept Shep or an infiltrator shep why am i running around with an assault rifle? As an infiltrator i loved my rifle but it never showed up in cutscenes.

as for dialogue, even just adding in some small references would be nice, like a small mention that you're a biotic, or a sniper, or whatever.

2. this one's a bit of a bigger plot-related wish. when it comes down to the final battle, previous actions should result in the addition of allies to help in the showdown

eg. in ME1 if you saved the rachni, they should appear at the end of ME3 to help kill the reapers, in ME2 if you helped legion and the non-heretics, mebbe they can jump in.

extra: the nonimportant point i mentioned is when starting the game. in me2 when you started off and imported you had 3 options: default face, imported face, or custom face

it would be nice to have a 4th option to start with the imported face and alter it before starting off
