I just wanna ask to the devs if they can let us the choice to wear or not a class of weapons,

I don't mean to change the equilibrium of the classes, it's perfectly normal that the adept cannot wear as many weapon as the soldier, I completly agree with that.

But for example if I have an infiltrator (or an adept), can I not wearing the heavy weapon (when we choose our heavy weapon we can choose "none", for looking like me1) or exchange my pistol or/and submachine gun trainning against the assault rifle trainning (like garrus).

Thank you for your time and I wish a developer will see that message ;-)

PS: sorry if I made some mistakes I'm french.

That´s pretty good i love all those ideas!!! How about this one?I´ve been quite interested in EDI´s decisions through the game. Mixing professional data with actual human like feelings. It´s nice to see reasonable sensing and feeling. I wonder if bioware would take this idea to the next level and actually bring EDI alive in another aspect. Actually, give her an appearance on board, sort of like a humanoid. That would definitely open up a story and decision making for her along with a more in depth Joker romance. Let me know what you think about the idea. Anyone have any other great ideas that should be in ME3

My wishlist:

My Shepard impregnates Miranda!!! (Despite info revealed in Shadow Broker DLC) Imagine the kinds of choices to be made at the end of that playthrough!

Bioware takes all the time it needs and doesn't rush like FO:NV. $80 in the toilet but not yet flushed.

Tali's face dang num it!

1)  The ability to "toggle" between a 1st & 3rd person perspective ( in or out of combat ).

2)   Improved PC/NPC movement/running speed ( Shepard generally moves like molasses in ME2, and storm/sprint feature dosen't last nearly long enough! )

3)  Ability to jump and crouch, please.

4)  Wider variety of head morphs and hairstyles, along with more refined/sophisticated "facial characteristics editing". Creating an attractive, or not-so-attractive Shepard, shouldn't be a cumbersome and time-consuming exercise.  At the very least a more attractive selection of noses for both genders would be desirable.

5)  The option of keeping Legion as a squad member.  More dialogue options/background/character development for Legion.

6)  It would be really interesting to FINALLY see what the Quarians look like under their environmental suits.

7)  The unexpected return of one of the many ancient races ostensibly exterminated by the Reapers ( e.g. the Inusannon, Thoi'han, Zeioph, or even a hitherto unknown branch of the Protheans ).  It might be cool to have this aforementioned race "charge in" at some pivotal moment with their fleet of uber-advanced warships, and help tip the balance vs. the Reapers.

8) Greater weapon and armor upgrade/customization ( available through research, as well as via looting/scavenging )

9)  Better ( more visceral ) sound effects for weapons.  Certain ME2 weapons ( e.g the standard Assault Rifle and most of the shotguns ) sounded "overly-metallic", and downright "tinny" when fired, and the Missile Launcher's fire sound reminded me of two wine glasses clinking together!

10)  I saved the most important for last........... some type of SDK, por favor! ( Especially considering that ME3 will be the final game in the series ).

My own wishlist (and no, I haven't read the thread cause it's near 300 pages >_> ), with comparison to ME2:

-The ability to skip/cycle through non-NPC player-initiated dialogue: I'm talking about the advertisements, Galactic News terminals, and the Citadel News with Emily Wong, among other places. I like listening to these as it gives the simulation of impact beyond the crew of the Normany and any other direclty involved parties. But I hate how I can't skip past old news, or old ads. I wish I had the ability to just press A or X on my 360 controller to skip through it like I would through dialogue with characters.

-Ensure crew comments on missions happens for every mission: It's happened for every plot-sensitive mission, sure, but in ME2, Joker doesn't comment on every crew-specific mission. I think he missed out on commenting on Garrus, Thane, and Mordin's loyalty missions. Same with Kasumi, and Zaeed. I'd just like a bit of consistency in that crew members (or other parties) who'd normally comment on *most* missions/events end up missing out on one or two other missions/events. Just throws me a loop (which probably speaks more of how immersed I get into the game).

-The final thing is having the ability to retrain squad members. I mean, we can do it with Shep for a modest resource cost, why not go all the way with the entire crew? It's a minor complaint in the long run as none of my squad's abilities really matter in combat (in fact, most of the time my squad doesn't matter at all in combat!)

Anyhoo, these are to my untrained and inexperienced developer's eyes minor quibbles and things that wouldn't break, and won't necessarily make, the next game for me. After all, if BioWare was a woman, I'd marry her and have her babies! ~coughs~

More facial model options, male and female, and less 'ugly' options. Seriously, there's maybe 1 nose that looks halfway decent, same for lips, eyes, same. Also more hairstyles. Other options, some body customization wouldn't hurt. Pre-done builds for both sexes, like a 'muscular' build for the Arnold wannabes, or an Amazon one for the ladies. A 'normal' one, and maybe a thin one or wiry one. Height change wouldn't be a bad thing either. Weapons-wise, a previous poster made a suggestion I have long advocated. Being able to select "None" before a mission for a weapon type. If I don't wanna take a nuke onto the citadel, then I don't figure I should have to. Or a grenade launcher, or a collector PeeBee, or whatever. I also would LOVE a return to the ME1 skill tree type, with the multitude of skills and your 'talking' a skill, not done by your bleeping paragon or renegade score, because some people don't wanna play a hyper-goodie goodie or a candidate for torture subject of the year, just so they can keep teammates from murdering each other. Seriously, I don't have to be Buddha to talk someone down, I just need to be able to move air past my lips and make some sense.

Also, I want the romance options, ALL of them to have some form of consequence. Liara, Ashley, could wind up pregnant, and Miranda could do In-Vitro fertilization or maybe have her sister play host mother. Femshep could wind up pregnant if she had a male love interest of a compatible species. Anyone doing an unusual cross-species romance should face consequences for it. Discrimination and so on. Tali-romances would, I think, wind up with her getting some version of Quarian lite status as the wife of the galaxy's savior, or at least the captain of a pocket battleship. Romances with Garrus would upset a lot of mainstream Turians I'd imagine, so there might be consequences from that. Species that can't breed can adopt.

I want to bring back the inventory system of Mass Effect one. Yes, I know, money exploits made it so, with a couple hours of grindimg, you could pretty much start the game with insane wads of cash and all the best gear on the Citadel and Noveria. All that means is fix it, not delete it. If anything that was broken was deleted, there'd be bloody little in the real world other than bugs and cats. Also, Elevators were a lot better than loading screens, so please, bring them back. Bring back the Mako as well. The hammerhead is a flying hunk of junk and not worth the money to pay for the expansion it's in, or Overlord for that matter, since Overlord relies on it.

The 'Feel" of ME2 was great, very down and dirty, very gritty, and I realize ME3 is in a war, but there's a difference, a fine one, between war-grit and 'blasted wasteland of desolation" Remember, there's a war going on, it's not post-war and post-apocalyptic.

Also, you folks should do research on what humans are capable of and redo a few things, especially melee. The human bench press record is a hair over 1,000 pounds American. The world leg press record is over 1 ton, American or metric, take your pick. While I realize the characters aren't musclebound weight gods, a genetically enhanced soldier would be closer to optimal than the dude playing tennis at the gym. So when Sheppard does the smack down, male or female, it should actually be a lot like Vs the Shadow Broker, but with everyone.

As a last bit please, PLEASE, get rid of mining. It is the most horrible and boring time-sink I have ever sen in a game, and I've played Asian MMO's, I know what a horribly torturous time sink looks and feels like, believe me.

In addition, Shepard should be able to jump to some extent. I found it ridiculous and irritating how the man who defeated Saren was never able to leap across a 2 foot gap. Make it like Zelda's jumping system, go towards a ledge and jump. Simple.

-Technically, planets could be so much better. I like traveling and seeing all those planets in game but each time something is bothering me: everything is too much static. I mean everyone and everything has it's place and they never leave it. It's ok for NPC but how about making a crowd or dynamic change of "extra actors" positions.

-Make the team more useful. I really liked to make multiple squads in the final mission. During the entire game in ME1 and ME2, I brought the same characters with me in my commando, the others just stayed in the
normandy. How about giving tasks to them or something. Something different would be making a injury system: as they keep falling, characters would be injured and unavailable for some times, so it will
force the player to choose other characters.

-About the cooling system. I like both system, why not making the player choose? Being able
to change weapon parts to tweak the cooling system, add a scope, attach
a grenade launcher etc would be really cool.

-The aiming: I'll REALLY appreciate if I could switch shoulders while aiming, like in MGS4, Gears of war or Splinter Cell.

-Climbing: make it so we don't have to back on the wall first. It's kinda weird and slow.

-Hacking: In ME1 we got manual override or omni gel override, now we just have manuel, how come? In addition to manual and omnigel override, how about an automatic wireless override available only to engineer or something else. You'd have to stay near the device for a certain time and voilà, hacked. This way, we can fight and hack in the same time.

-Many times my commando spoke to me and as I walked, they got interrupted by meaningless crowd speech. It's annoying. Make speeches priorities, commando's first, crowd's second.

-The mako disappeared, I don't miss it now we have a shuttle that drops us directly to the mission. How
about multiple drop points? We choose where to land, moreover it would perfectly fit with my previous suggestion about making the team more useful as we could make multiple squads.

-Harvesting: I'm used to harvesting with MMORPG, no matter what game it is, it's always a pain. But in MMORPG, we can buy ressources. Here's a suggestion that fits again with my previous suggestion about making the team more useful: for example, give Mordin the task to find ressources for a specific research, it will take time, but at least the player don't have to do it. We could give Mordin credits too, in order to buy ressources.

-Dubbing: please, just like Dragon Age Origins, make it simple to change voice language and text language.

-Credits: Shepard is always working for an organisation. I suggest a salary system. I remember in Final Fantasy VIII, there was a salary system wich gave you credits in  each specific number of steps. The amount of that salary depended on your behavior, if you acted good, you got a bigger salary. For example, I'm working with Cerberus but I don't share their motivation, my actions reflects that, so my salary just keep getting smaller. But fortunatly, I'm working for the alliance too, so they reward me with credits in counterpart.

-Coop: Fable coop system is brilliant. Don't need to make it plausible or anything, I'll just love to play with my friend.

It would have to be a specially made collector since they were basically mindless husks controlled by the collector general.

I love how the first post has this line: "Give us Earth! If ME3 really is the end of the trilogy (better not be!) than at least let us explore our homeplanet. Have the reapers invade it or something. I duno, just bring earth into the picture. I want to see it in the future."

Can't say Bioware don't listen to the fans eh? :P

Please read this Bioware

I want Mass Effect 3 more immersive, realistic and with more freedom than the ME 2, I want to explore planets with a vehicle like a sandbox, also hope that the story is more similar to the first Mass Effect on quality concerns and not focus on both supporting characters

more rol

more worlds and stars

space firefights

Gravity 0

map scale solar systems , for example: No planet can be greater than a star

1: Control fleets: Where should your fleets go, Palaven, Thessia. Where should the Normandy go. Palaven, Thessia. Going alone means you can sneak in undetected and sneak in to help the defense but you may lose alot but less if you had followed and helped the fleet. In return if leaving the fleet they will suffer more casualties.

2: Squaddies have a more central role. If Tali was not exiled she was a nominee for admiral. This may help you and give Tali a important role to play. Same goes for Wrex and Grunt (if alive) etc.

3. Possibility to uplift the Krogan once again, bring the Rachni back and start or end a war between the Geth-Quarians.

4. Hackett and Arcturus

5. Many endings

I want some of the loose ends to be tied up or some story elements explained in a super epic scene like vigil's tale in ME1. That was just brilliant! I remember playing this particular scene at least thrice just because of the beautiful atmosphere.
For those who can't remember:

First, BioWare, thank you thank you thank you for ME2. It was above and beyond what I thought it could be. However, I have one small, very small, area for improvement for ME3 so as to make it the best game ever.

My small complaint/humble request relates to the "feel" of immersion that ran so deep in ME1.  It was this transcending experience that isn't present in ME2 as it was so profoundly in ME1.  I felt much of this enchanting and truly almost euphoric sense of reality in ME1 didn't quite make the transfer over to ME2. Here's how:

1) Bring Back Non-Linear Uncharted Worlds and the MAKO
Much of the "immersion" and non-linear "exploration" that felt so real, epic, awe-inspiring, and truly (if you stopped every now and then while you driving the MAKO over some barren planets) humbling and mystifying was lost from ME1 when the MAKO was out for ME2 and replaced with linear foot exploration (or linear Hammerhead exploration). I loved the fleshed out planets from ME2, it was really cool to see that.  I for one posted constantly about that in the old ME1 forums. However, I guess I never realized that the MAKO and all the copy/paste worlds would be entirely  dropped and replaced with linear exploration.  And now I somewhat regret it, seeing as I truly did love how they offered you incredible views of space, light-years away from earth, that made you reflect on the vastness of space as you looked up at the horizon.  What I wanted was more variety, in addition to the already  awesome barren world space vistas, not that all the barren landscapes be entirely removed.  The Hammerhead did not fill the gap in exploration that I had hoped it would.  I enjoyed Overlord, but Firewalker just plain sucked (even though it was free).

2) Bring Back Elevators and "Decontamination in Progress"
Really, truly, I didn't mind the elevators or having to walk back to the Normandy in ME1 as it made the game feel like you were truly always in it; there were no "discontinuities" in the storyline that loading screens unfortunately made the ME2 feel less personal.   The "taken outside the movie" kind of feeling crept up more I felt with all the loading screens in ME2, versus ME1 I always felt "in the game/movie."  Don't get me wrong, some of the load screens were pretty cool, being able to see where you were traveling; however, maybe for ME3, have those load screens very, very intermittently and bring back the elevators. (To all future posters, please don't hurt me for this idea, I promise I am being truly sincere in my requests)

3) Bring Back Status Reports with your Superiors and Remove Emails
Not talking directly to Hackett/the Council like ME1 really made me feel even less immersed for the things I did in the game. I felt this really made me think about my decisions, as eventually my superiors would know about it. Versus just receiving an email from TIM, I felt BioWare could  have made it so it would have been neat to hear his voice, and then discuss with the squad about the last mission.  Simply reading the emails is not nearly as entertaining nor as immersive as talking to an NPC as commanding as Admiral Hackett.  I understand VAing is a budget concern, but just reading emails about your decisions from ME1 and ME2 wasn't at all immersive.

4) Remove Mission Complete Screens/End of Mission Reports
After a truly intense moment, emotional or not, they were just jarring, out of place, and felt almost forced. The whole in-game movie experience is lost.  The unique movie feel of a well-immersed experience in a video game that was so transcending in ME1 turned ME2 into a stock FPS with these screens.  If I just want to shoot the hell out of something, I can play COD or Halo, but if I want to be alive in a game, I want to play ME.

5) Bring Back Squad Banter
Simple. It just brings out a sense your squadmates aren't mutes who don't have feelings towards each other.  In ME2, they just seemed like mindless servants obeying orders when you couldn't even have the opportunity to talk to them on a mission or post-mission about your in-game decisions.  Granted, I am not ripping on the incredible character development that was present by talking to your squadmates about their personal lives in ME2, but what the mission and what all the squadmates thought of each other?  I loved the banter in LotSB, so please, BW, use this as a model!

All in all, ME2 was absolutely fantastic to play, but I miss the planets and other small things that made ME1 feel so real.  I lost the sense of fascination with an ever expanding, unknown galaxy in which I shaped the fate of all life with my choices.
