- i would like you to be able to take more than 2 squad members on missions (like in gameplay).

- i completely agree that there should be multiple endings.

- i want me3 to be a very long game, like 2 ps3 discs filled to max. i dont want to beat the game in like a few days.

- there should be a few more characters like jacob, like who arent some criminal or gone evil. the "things have changed" is a little too predictable.

- i forget if i said this before, but i want there to be a much bigger team.

- this might seem a little harsh, but i want to be able to space a crew member out an airlock if they become annoying or a threat to the mission.

- oh that brings something else up, they should make like a more complex loyalty system. rather than just doing a mission for it, you should have to do several missions for it and it should be like they might choose not to help you in the last mission and not just be "not loyal", make you have to work for your teams help.

- dont make like 50 of the same enemy look exacly the same, or hundreds or whatever. make every enemy and civilian look different.

- and yes, i miss the elevator rides.

First, BioWare, thank you thank you thank you for ME2. It was above and beyond what I thought it could be. However, I have one small, very small, area for improvement for ME3 so as to make it the best game ever.

My small complaint/humble request relates to the "feel" of immersion that ran so deep in ME1.  It was this transcending experience that isn't present in ME2 as it was so profoundly in ME1.  I felt much of this enchanting and truly almost euphoric sense of reality in ME1 didn't quite make the transfer over to ME2. Here's how:

1) Bring Back Non-Linear Uncharted Worlds and the MAKO
Much of the "immersion" and non-linear "exploration" that felt so real, epic, awe-inspiring, and truly (if you stopped every now and then while you driving the MAKO over some barren planets) humbling and mystifying was lost from ME1 when the MAKO was out for ME2 and replaced with linear foot exploration (or linear Hammerhead exploration). I loved the fleshed out planets from ME2, it was really cool to see that.  I for one posted constantly about that in the old ME1 forums. However, I guess I never realized that the MAKO and all the copy/paste worlds would be entirely  dropped and replaced with linear exploration.  And now I somewhat regret it, seeing as I truly did love how they offered you incredible views of space, light-years away from earth, that made you reflect on the vastness of space as you looked up at the horizon.  What I wanted was more variety, in addition to the already  awesome barren world space vistas, not that all the barren landscapes be entirely removed.  The Hammerhead did not fill the gap in exploration that I had hoped it would.  I enjoyed Overlord, but Firewalker just plain sucked (even though it was free).

2) Bring Back Elevators and "Decontamination in Progress"
Really, truly, I didn't mind the elevators or having to walk back to the Normandy in ME1 as it made the game feel like you were truly always in it; there were no "discontinuities" in the storyline that loading screens unfortunately made the ME2 feel less personal.   The "taken outside the movie" kind of feeling crept up more I felt with all the loading screens in ME2, versus ME1 I always felt "in the game/movie."  Don't get me wrong, some of the load screens were pretty cool, being able to see where you were traveling; however, maybe for ME3, have those load screens very, very intermittently and bring back the elevators. (To all future posters, please don't hurt me for this idea, I promise I am being truly sincere in my requests)

3) Bring Back Status Reports with your Superiors and Remove Emails
Not talking directly to Hackett/the Council like ME1 really made me feel even less immersed for the things I did in the game. I felt this really made me think about my decisions, as eventually my superiors would know about it. Versus just receiving an email from TIM, I felt BioWare could  have made it so it would have been neat to hear his voice, and then discuss with the squad about the last mission.  Simply reading the emails is not nearly as entertaining nor as immersive as talking to an NPC as commanding as Admiral Hackett.  I understand VAing is a budget concern, but just reading emails about your decisions from ME1 and ME2 wasn't at all immersive.

4) Remove Mission Complete Screens/End of Mission Reports
After a truly intense moment, emotional or not, they were just jarring, out of place, and felt almost forced. The whole in-game movie experience is lost.  The unique movie feel of a well-immersed experience in a video game that was so transcending in ME1 turned ME2 into a stock FPS with these screens.  If I just want to shoot the hell out of something, I can play COD or Halo, but if I want to be alive in a game, I want to play ME.

5) Bring Back Squad Banter
Simple. It just brings out a sense your squadmates aren't mutes who don't have feelings towards each other.  In ME2, they just seemed like mindless servants obeying orders when you couldn't even have the opportunity to talk to them on a mission or post-mission about your in-game decisions.  Granted, I am not ripping on the incredible character development that was present by talking to your squadmates about their personal lives in ME2, but what the mission and what all the squadmates thought of each other?  I loved the banter in LotSB, so please, BW, use this as a model!

All in all, ME2 was absolutely fantastic to play, but I miss the planets and other small things that made ME1 feel so real.  I lost the sense of fascination with an ever expanding, unknown galaxy in which I shaped the fate of all life with my choices.

Some really good points you mention here. Especially the fact that ME2 almost completely lost the movie feeling ME1 had. I hope ME3 can bring back this special atmosphere of actually being in the game, on a different world...

I have a lot of faith in Bioware... so I don't request much. I think I'll enjoy what they make.

I do have two requests.

Rather than an unlockable alternate outfit, I'd really like everyone to hang a dang space suit used when appropriate. It's hard to suspend disbelief when you're waiting for the near-absolute-zero temperatures to overcome Jack because she choses to wear nothing but a pair of pants and a mask.

Second, helmet toggle. In ME1, I had to go into the menu to take the helmet off or put it on. In ME2, I can only make the choice before I leave the ship. Give me a function key or something to remove or put on a helmet.

I would a lot of cheerful /funny/general conversations with your team mates and especially your lovers. Look at Tali's response and her voice tone when she talks about the Shepard VI when your talking to the C-Sec captain about Thane's loyalty mission to get a good idea of what i am on about.

Pretty much agree really

The rpg element felt way too different in ME2 from ME1, it would be nice to bring back the elements you had in the first game, i.e. more areas to spend your skill points rather than 4/5 areas like in ME2

1) I would like Bioware to bring back the inventory system from ME

2) Make it more RPG oriented, killing enemies and receiving experience points or finding armor and weapons

3) Make it less linear with more things to explore similar to the Citadel from ME

4) More liveliness. For example in ME you were able to talk with your squad mates or hear others talking to each other. In the Citadel seeing people walking around made the game feel more alive. I want something that plays kind of like the Lair of the Shadow Broker in that there is more interaction with the environment and seeing other things happening in the background.

Bioware need to make sure what type of people are making which comments, because RPG guys have commenting on RPG stuff most of the improvements made for ME2 were mostly from FPS guys - a safe assumption i think

1) Would not buy the game if they brought back the old inventory

2) Want more weapons available none the less

3) Want 3 more squad mates + the entire ME 2 crew

A) A Batarian!

B) Ashley/Kaiden

C) URZ!!! (The Barkspawn of the ME universe!)

4) Upgradable Hammerhead

5) A bayonet on my weapons to increase melee damage

Also to the angry ME I ****s (German National Socialist Party Members), your opinions reflect a small part of the community I loved ME I through and through, but welcomed the changes. The Mako was the worst designed vehicle in any game I ever used, the heat based system was counter intuitive to how weapons work, and cover system was a waste. ME 2 was a true squeal in that it improved the game and evolved into something greater.

Localization in my country in Russia, was done honestly say a bad thing. Localization did EA Russia.

The translation was poorly thought out, some titles Mass Efect 2 does not coincide with the Mass Effect 1.
Changed translate word Reaper. EA Russia has translated poorly. In my language it sounds like "Пожинатель" - it's more dark and sinister, but EA Russia has translated as "Жнец".
Even the title history "Sole survivor" - incorrectly translated. EA Russia has translated on my language as "Последний герой"- if translate back - "Last hero" . "Spacer" - has translated as "Космонавт" - "Astronaut or cosmonaut". This is a complete substitution of meaning.

Were and grammatical errors and sentences with unclear meaning. Has used bad turns of phrase. The translation was not artistic. This largely spoiled my impression from the game.

Please, BioWare to consider this request.
I hope EA Russia was reprimanded and translation and localization for Mass Effect 3 will be made qualitatively.

judging from your comments, you are more of the FPS type, while the creators want a more balanced game ME will always lean to the RPG side more than anything else, because ME is a RPG game.

the first wish is just silly. you could just grab weapons and just ignore all the upgrades and just use the gun as you found it, that way it's not as confusing with all the extra spice. that isn't very hard to do isn't it?
and it also looks likely that the old inventory will come back.

You assume far too much good sir I am a hardcore RPG fan going back to the days of Dungeons and Dragons in the 80s and in the realm of video games: King's Field on the PSX. I love loot but hate useless loot i...e selling unwanted crap that piles up how ever a pile of treasure = awesome. As to inventory I doubt they would bring it back and before you go one talking out your arse they said they were very happy with the current system fans too.

1. I dont think they should bring back the me inventory system. Also dont bring back the mods either just my thought.

2. I think the squadmates should talk to each other. Also i think the squadmates should walk around the ship.(plz no more garrus calibrating all mission long.)

3. Combine both the rpg style of me1 and shooting of me2. I think it would work well.

4. Bring back the elevators. I dont like the loading screen it takes me away from the game.

5. Get rid of the mission complete screen at the end of missions.

6. If they keep the mining improve it so people will accept it.

7. Bring back the mako or combine it with the hammerhead. Also give us more missions that will fallen between the shuttle and mako/hammerhead.

8. Give my squadmates armor for missions on unstable planets. I would also like to toggle helmets on all armor.

9. Bring back ashley/kaiden for squadmates.

10. Can we get a batarian squadmate

11. More dialog between LI. Can we also get friendship dialog also between potential LI we dont choose and other squadmates.

12. Allow us to walk on whole citedal again. Also with this allow us to wear casual clothes for shepard while walking on the citedal or places like it.

13. Keep emails but, also allow us to get comm reports or chatter from superiors and friends.

14. Give us the two squad like at the end of me2. This isnt a big thing i just ask for this for the end of the game fight.

15. More weapons and armor pieces for more customization for battle.

Thats just some of the ideas i can come up with right now.

Don't know if Bamboozalist wrote his idea here yet, but it's too awesome for it to be forgotten, I think it is a really really really great idea and i hope BioWare is already doing it, since it makes sense. Quoted, in regard of having both the ME1 and ME2 squads in the finale:

"ME1 Squad as critical plot NPCS - Wrex leading the Krogan/Liara as SB/VS leading alliance task force. ME2 Squad as ground troops."

For me at least, this make a helluva' sense. Hoping to see it on the third one, if you don't mind :P

u guys r gunna hate me for this, but i DON'T want the helmet switching on and off in the missions from ME1 back. it doesnt make sense to have it. like in real life where would you put the helmet? would it show him drop it on the ground? i want the game to be that realistic.

Seriously am I one of the only people who had to reload conversations constantly, because Shep didn't say what I expected her to??

I'll say it again, please give us the option of TRANSPARENT DIALOGUE (like a toggle button) and give us a CONVERSATION HISTORY. Pleeeeease.

Now all that cap-locking is useless, unless more people ask for it, so please peeps, give some support to the idea! :-)))

I really only have one request. Make Shepard the star of the show again. ME2 did not feel as if it was Shepard's story. S/he needs to be the focus of his/her last game.

ME3 should be 200 hrs worth of gaming not 40hrs and most of that should be main missions not over glorified fillers.
