-Instead of removing ME1's inventory system completely, why not try to improve it instead? It would be great to have a hybrid of ME1 and ME2's inventory systems. You get the weapons and armor you find the blueprints of(no duplicates filling up your inventory, so need to omnigel 1000 times) and you can customize the weapons and armor like in ME1, and equip your squad with different armor as well.
-Mako is another thing that they should have improved on rather than scrapping altogether. I enjoyed driving the mako on Therum, Noveria, Feros and Ilos. I did not enjoy just roaming around in the mako for several minutes on empty plains(although I did enjoy that more than the damn scanning bs they put in this game).
-For the PC version, just a small annoyance for me, please make it so we can access the squad and journal screens by pressing a button like in ME1 rather than having to go to the menu everytime we want to access the journal.
-On the topic of the story and the ending, I found both quite lackluster. For a reference to a great story and ending, see Mass Effect 1. I liked the added emphasis on side missions, but it felt as if the main story took a hit as a result.
Those are the only things I can think of at the moment, I think I have a few more things to nitpick on but am too tired to remember them lol, but those are definitely the biggest complaints I have.

or a happy ending for Shepard.
I really want them to tie in what happens to all our favorite squadmates after the 'end.' what their doing with the rest of their lives or how 'the end/being on shepards crew' has effected them. etc. find the quaians a homeworld please?
Nothing open ended, i mean its the last ME.
oh edit again:
I want some areas to feel more alien, not an ecosystem that's simliar to earth... purple sunlight, weird flora, or like the hanner;underwater city, with a docking bay
keep up the interesting characters/character interactions... i wonder what wrex will think of mordin.

I wouldn't be suprised if after ME3 it becomes a MMO, its really buildng up to it, all the possible races, all he possible clasess, Bioware has expressed that they want to start making multiplayer games. As for the mako missions, while it added a lot to the game, the planets felt unreal, like they were all made in the bump editor I used back in grade school, and the buildings and such were cookie cutter, all the same, no variety, something I hope they fix with the hammer head. Oh, and the normandy can't really land so well or enter the atmoshpere easily, its too large, twice the mass of the original.
I pray it doesn't become one, why is it so hard for someone to just enjoy a videogame without unecessary multiplayer systems? I'd rathert hey focus on story, gameplay mehcanics, and character development rather that set everything back by conforming to MMO standards >_<.
Edit: I wasn't referring to you specifically phoenix, I was just making a vague statement, just want to clear that up

Like someone stated earlier you talk to them for a little bit then they say "Dont talk to me right now..," Like really...your on a huge mission and dont want to talk. There should be more depth in the convo's then just "Hey I need help," "So you like me huh," "Dont talk to me right now." It'd be nice to get more back story or maybe hang out with them ala mini games on the ship or on planets/hubs.
The love interests were pretty unique and I stayed faithful to Ashley even though in 2 they really let me down. I was really looking forward to how the reunion would happen, I thought it'd be more realistic if Sheppard ran up to her and picked her up and hugged her then just standing still and talking to her so nonchalantly. There was no emotion in the interaction which really let me down. The relationship you made in the game should mean something more then just laying in bed with them.....maybe when you took them on a mission BioWare could add more convo and actions so you could FEEL like you had to protect your LI.
EX- Take your girl and grunt to meet a gangleader....leader gets the jump on you and you have a paragon action to jump in the way of a sniper shooting your LI then they take her and grunt away....you have to hunt them down but can only save one ala "Dark knight," Maybe have more actions when your in town...maybe at least be able to DANCE with your LI and not alone haha, have a drink with her...more interactions would be nice.
Also since its the last I would really like it if you can marry your LI as sort of a closure to the game, maybe having another suicide mission (Reaper invasion) and you and your LI get married before the fight.....then if sheppard dies your LI cries at your funeral with all your squadmates you've seen in all 3 games (Which to be honest I see sheppard dying in 3)
The mako was annoying, more customization to the armor even if it is only cosmetic, maybe some unscripted planets with random enemies.

Free custimisation, ie you can make your own armour and trade or share on a network like Cerberus or the alliance or whatever. EA can stuff it, i want this.

-No more mission complete screens, and no more going back to the Normandy after a mission, so I definitely agree on that one.
[/quote]
I could not agree more with the 'mission complete' screens. Redundant doesn't say it. They are a nuisance that only spoil the mood and what was there for RPG gamers to enjoy - being sucked into the story.
So yes, get rid of those if possible... who needs them anyway?

NOOOO! Please no. The new score was fantastic. More emphasis on the symphony made it epic. My opinion. Jack Wall did a marvelous job. I began to trust him completely with the score, so I think what he does is gonna rock for ME3.
One thing I'd suggest is NOT to change the composer, if anything.

CREW
Give us only 3 maybe 4 new crew members and keep the old ones. And of course, make it possible to recruit back ME1 LI (cause who else is still left out, eh? Wrex is good and needed where he is I think).
Make it possible to NOT recruit members you don’t want to have on your ship or dismiss them. You could set the total number of team members to say 8 but have like 12 to chose from. With both ME1, ME2 and potential ME3 characters, it should not be a problem.
RELATIONSHIPS
Evolve the relationships with your squad. This means MUCH MORE interaction with them. More conversation particularly. Also, I liked the DA:O gifts... but only the ‘meaningful gift’ system would be nice to see in ME3 too, not the trash you stuffed their pockets with to get liking points.
Interaction between team members. ME2 had some interesting scenes (like Miranda vs. Jack) but way too few. Would love to see more of those. And have random interaction back, like the ME1 elevator talks, only more. ME2 characters kept so silent on missions, they felt like ‘floating guns’ rather than living people. I still remember the loveable exchanges between Karth and Mission from KOTOR1. Something to think about.
LOVE
This falls under relationships but I felt needed emphasis. Somehow, in ME1 the love thread felt more subtle than in ME2. It was what captivated me back then. When I got on the new Normandy in ME2, I felt ‘Hey, when did my Shepard become so flirty? The two years can’t have changed her so much... she was dead.’
Love played a big role in ME universe so far, and the amount of LI threads on the forums is proof of that. SO please please please, make it worth the epic trilogy ending this time. Make it about emotions, NOT sex. And since there are LIs already established from previous games, make the thread feel more significant and longer (through the entire game).
It actually gives huge dramatic potential – love, decisions, maybe sacrifice. Even more so if you had been unfaithful in ME2.
This is not to say you could not add still another LI in ME3.
Many people enjoy ME so much because of the immersion into the character. There is little you can do regarding gameplay that will really awe players I think (all has been done one way or another before), but you can do so with the love tread.
STORY
I’m confident here. Bioware never lets down. Still, since there is always a first time, please be sure it’s not with ME3. You can mess things up afterwards (hehe).
Generally, I’d imagine a blend of the ME1 epic story and ME2 brilliant side ‘events’. Because the final episode really needs a main plot driven story (ME1 style) and not the ‘dark middle part’ build-up story (like ME2).
got longish, stay tuned for more...
sorry for the imperative tone, it's just easier to write

I fear that the ME 3 story will be boring, since you already got a few hints from ME 2 what might happen. That dark energy thing, you might have to blow a sun up to destroy tons of reapers or that newly found prototype of a weapon that is able to destory reapers gets installed on the normandy or some other station/ships. Sounds lame and i hope they don't plan something like that.

On the squadmates from the first Mass Effect coming back to the 2nd didnt bother me because I can see where Bioware is taking the story. Ashley or Kaiden were Alliance military who felt a strong loyalty your travels in the first game proved Cerberus was bad company so Im sure they were confused why you were with them and felt somewhat betrayed. Wrex is involved with politics on his homeworld, Liara had symptoms of her mother from the first game I caught a few quotes of what her mother said in the first game with Asari commandos and what not, sort of interested in what they do with her.
But in conclusion what I got from the middle part of the story was a threads being continued and new threads being started for a epic 3rd installment. For people who are complaining about it, remember this is the first time this had been done where your DECISIONS have made a impact on a 2nd game where your story continues so just let Bioware innovate they've been doing it for like 10 years now and they haven't let me down yet.

- Better box-art than ME2's
- Visit Earth
- Option to pick what you did in ME1 and ME2 if you don't have a save
- More profanity
- More Loot
- More Gore
- Nudity!
- Option to toggle off helmets
- Full description of what Shepard is going to say:
This is my biggest complaint about Mass Effect. Half the time what I chose and what Shepard actually said was completely different. I had to replay each dialogue a dozen times. Make it something like right click the dialogue option and make a box come out that says the exact words Shepard is going to say. For the interrupt, simply add a minor explanation of what Shepard is going to do next to the interrupt button. Just make it as an option for people who like it, don't remove the old way
