Hopefully it is not too late to throw in a few more suggestions, because there are some other things that bother me and maybe other people too:

For example, it is very difficult for some classes to fight against certain enemies if you are on your own. If you play, lets say as a Vanguard, it is difficult to fight against heavy flying enemies like Praetorians. You have no warp, and most of the time you can't reach them with shockwaves or charge, which is a problem if your squamates are dead or you ran out of heavy weapon ammo.

Another thing are shielded enemmies. What if your squadmates die and you have to fight a bunch of geth? (Okay, that's a rare situation, but who knows what's going to happen?)

I mean vanguards don't even have disruptor ammo, and shockwaves are very weak against shields.

Well, to summ it up, please make the classes a bit more versitile, or make players able to customize their own classes.

Also, can you please give us an Asari squadmate who actually looks hot and also has an interesting character. I know, there are probably a lot of character requests, but I think that a majority of players found the Asari that we got so far too boring (I don't want to offend the writers, it's just my opinion).

Liara looked good, but her voice and her character were kind of boring, Samara didn't look ''that bad'' (depends on taste), but come on, she was extremely old and her character was also uninteresting. She was a bit of a nun (''Have to serve the code, no fun in life'') and you could not talk to her like to Tali or Mordin.

So please, can you get rid of Samara and give us some young, beautiful and interesting Asari. There are plenty of Asari who look good, for example Shiala (in Mass Effect 1, when she was still blue), the Asari-Councilor, Nelyna, Tela Vasir, Wasea, Aria, Matriarch Lidanya or the Afterlife-dancer who gets harassed by a Turian. If you don't have more time left to put her in ME3, you could make a DLC, couldn't you?

But please, get rid of Samara. I mean, the Collectors are defeated, so technically her oath is over and she can go somewhere else.

Sorry if this text was a bit harsh, we all appreciate what you guys at BioWare are doing, these are just some suggestions.

I poseted this a few months back and I really hope the amazing team at bioware worked this stuff into the final product. The ability to tweak/change the appearance of your imported character without starting over. The ability to change hair style, facial hair and make-up at any time from the customize armor station. More armor and casual appearance options. Ability to customize casual appearance. The ability to create your own heavy weapon. Choose appearance, special function and ammo type The ability to purchase upgrades for you personal quarters, such as a bar, a library or a better bed Include back-story missions for spacer, colonist, and earth born characters. If you were a colonist you could visit the remains of the settlement on Mindoir. If you were a spacer you could visit the ship/ships your parents are stationed on. If you were earth born you could visit the slums of the megatropalis on earth. Include these locations for all character backgrounds, only without the back-story connection. Have Kaiden/Ashley and Liara back on your team. The ability to choose the XO from your squad members. If someone isn’t working out replace them More missions where you delegate squad members for specific tasks like the end of ME2. Travel to the Asari home world of Thessia for/with Liara. Travel to the Turian home world of Palaven for/with Garris. Travel to the Quarian/Geth home world Rannoch for/with Tali and Legion. A mission to invade the illusive mans base of operations. A mission to visit the prothean ruins on Mars. The return of the Asari consort. Have more open environments to explore, like the citadel was in ME1. It would also be nice to see relationships between my crew. Garris and Tali should be talking about the old days or maybe crew romances.

If there is anything I would suggest be put into Mass Effect 3 is that we have the option of having an "all is lost" ending where your past bad decisions enable the Reapers to win in the end like we had a bad ending  in ME2 due to your actions and decisions. THAT would really hit home the fact that our actions had real consequences in the ME universe.

AGREED.

Also, BioWare:  I love biotics.  I love using them, I love the different biotic powers such as Barrier, Overload, Sabotage, Neural Shock, etc etc.  Why did you all but replace biotics in ME2?  Instead of heavily relying on biotics with pistol supplements like in ME1, my biotics were a supplement in ME2, when I had to use a wide assortment of guns.  A Sentinel cannot even use snipers, shotguns, and assault rifles!  Nor can an Adept!

BBBB!   (Bring Back Biotics, BioWare!)

Barrier is not attack,it is defensive power, and as far as I know Sabotage and Overload are tech powers. Not sure what neural shock is,though. And although you could use those weapons as Adept in ME1,they were pretty much useless.

I meant biotic powers, sorry. Sometimes what's in my head doesn't come out in my writing. And you should upgrade Kaidan if you want the awesomeness of Neural Shock. Either way, biotic powers were sidelined in ME2. They should be brought back for ME3.

At this point in the development, the only thing I can think of to influence is the combat, and for that, devs, I have one request: Please, for the love of Conrad Verner, get rid of the whole throwing biotic powers you added in ME2! I liked throwing throw, but throwing singularity, warp, pull (which made the least since) was incredibly mind numbing, especially as I'd just played through the first game again.

I will still love you if you don't add planetary exploration, but I can't handle anymore laggy "throwing blue orb" animations. Just let the singularity appear where I targeted like in the first game. Let warp be an insta-hit like Incinerate and Overload. Throwing biotics was even more unbearable because even my biotic teammates didn't have to do it! I'd just tell Miranda to warp or Jack to pull, etc. and it'd happen.

my ME3 wishlist is short as of today:

1. vehicle as good as mako and Hammerhead but without faults of both

2. ability to visit Asari Homeworld -Thessia

3. more romantic content [yes-Liara]

4. Bring back NORMAL biotic-tech combo powers like it was in ME1 style, cos in ME2 there were too much tech and too less biotic in biotic-tech combo

thank you all for attention:)

I hope they don't do a multiplayer for mass effect 3 but maybe after i hope they do a test trial of a multiplayer. If they do multiplayer i hope that you can

1) choose your own race; not just asari, turian and human, but krogan volus and salarian, quarian maybe as well. This would be like a permanent character race unless you get bored and can buy (like in black ops' cod points but using credits) a new race. Each race would have pros and cons like salarian may be good at tech powers but not good at melee, krogan would have big bonus to health but be slow etc etc

2) instead of having classes as in sentinel adept etc  just have the weapons classes with weapons etc which will unlock as you level up (obv) but use credits to buy the weapons as well as possible upgrades to that weapon as well as customizable features (colour, scheme, maybe weapon ammo?). For powers, they should use them as a replacement of perks, e.g. you get the option of 3 powers which will unlock after you level up and can be used in real time only using (on xbox) LB RB and Y buttons. warp would take down a shield tech armor would increase shields as well as other health ones and add  cloak as well which would be awesome oh and throw would be cool but obviously make limitations as to which combinations should be used it needs to be balanced.

Obviously powers like adrenaline rush would need to be altered, instead of slowing everything down it just speeds your character up. to move faster aim faster for say 10 seconds.

3) customizable armor and add upgrades, unlock more armor parts as you level up and colour scheme etc.

4) for game types like defuse the bomb, use a hacking mini game to defuse it which i think will make it harder but better than just holding x button. Oh and maybe if its in first person, it could change to third behind cover? sort of like a GoW, COD mix but better

These are just my thoughts on it, I know no one really wants multiplayer here but i thought that if they do, at least make it awesome. But as far as ME3 single player goes just make it epic which BioWare can do.

Afer playing through ME1 and ME2 again as well as watching two of my friends play ME2 I decided to finally dig up this thread and post my own (and my friends) thoughs, ideas and wishes. Hope it's not too late.

Rework Paragon / Renegade + Interrupt system
What I mean by that is that I much rather like to have a persuiasion skill I can level that a Paragon / Renegade bar which determines if I can convince someone. This is mostly because I like to play and make each decision without thinking in terms of good and evil but rather what the right choice is for me at that moment. This leads to my Paragon / Renegade score being neutral most of the time.
Also, even though the interrupts are totally awesome, I'd much rather have more options available than pressing a button and hope something 'good' will happen. There were instances where I wished I hadn't pressed it or something different would have happened. Also, after watching two of my friends play and having myself played the game some times, I can safely say that almost everryone will almost everytime use the interrupt because first something awesome will happen and second you will get Paragon / Renegade points you would have missed otherwise.
So to imporve the interrups, I'd say give us more options at the same time as well as don't tie them with the Paragon / Renegade points directly. Rather then gaining points you already get a different outcome of the situation. What I would like to see here more is that some bigger decisions depend on interrupts, like if your LI is in danger and you can save her / him or aquire some help against the Reapers. You only have about 10 seconds for this decision (without the ability to pause of course). Would totally love something like this.

More Character Interaction (player-NPC as well as NPC-NPC)

In ME1 every squadmember had something to say about each mission you went on and there was also the debriefings after each major mission with your team. Granted in ME2 there were much more possible squadmates and I know it can be difficult to account for each combination but some debriefings would be nice again with the entire crew (like right before the Suicide Mission where you decide who goes in the vent and who leads the seconds fire team). In ME2 after 2-3 missions I tried to talk to some people and all they did was some calibrations or being busy doing some different things until they wanted someting from me (loyalty mission).
I want each squadmember to have more and new dialog (best would be after each major mission). Also some interaction between 2 different squadmembers would be nice. I really liked the Miranda / Jack and Tali / Legion stand offs. There should be much more like this but not always due to hate but rather Tali and Garrus could have gotten together to talk about the old times for example.

Weapons optional
This might seem a minor thing (and it very well my be) but for me it is huge. I played through ME2 without using a heavy weapon once but always had to carry it on my back. This was like ME1 all over again. I really liked that as an Infiltrator I won't carry a Shotgun and a Assault Rifle (thanks!!) but the heavy weapon could have been made optional as well (really like the back of my female Shepard until she had to pick up that grenade launcher). So just the option would be nice (it is my fault then when facing something huge wihtout heavy weapon - but I managed to do it in ME2 and want to do the same thing in ME3).
Also nice would be having the option to put your weapons of choice were you want them. Like when you get the big sniper widow sniper rifle and look like you lean left all the time almost falling down. I would have liked to put it where normally a shotgun is carried.

class specific dialog + interrupts
Just like with the weapons for each class, I would love to have specific dialog options for different classes. Like if you know tech you could convince some scientist by explaining the problem in detail. Or as a biotic you can just throw him through the room. This could as well be included in interrupts and not just dialog choices.
Also, it would be cool if NPCs sometimes recogize your class (like Kaiden made a short comment in ME1 when you were a biotic). This is just one of those small things that would really make the game much more imersive.

No more planet scanning
I was one of those who did almost every planet because unfortunately, I had to do so to not miss anything (don't ask, I am working on it). As you might know, it got boring pretty quickly. I would have much rather liked some kind of resource management minigame where you have to manage different mines on different planets and see if they can make a profit for you (like a strategy game you can check up on between missions). Just an idea.

Bring back the elevators
I don't like the loading screens very much. I'd much rather listen to party banter or news while being in an elevator or something similar. Maybe you can find a good mix of loading screens and elevators?

No Multiplayer
Not a huge fan. Rather sit in my dark room by myself. :) But seriously, ME is and has always been a single player experience. So NO to multiplayer and a BIG NOOO to co-op.

Minor clipping bugs
Ok, this is really just a minor thing but there are instances (like at the beginning with TIM where he puts out his cigarette and his finger goes through it for a short moment) where objects just go through each other. It just breaks the immersion. If you have time...

and last

Decisions should really matter
I always played through the ME games making decisions knowing it would be a trilogy and I really would like to see the outcome of the thrid game being also hugely influence depending on decisison from ME1, ME2 and ME3. I want the happy ending where everyone surives (happy ending but at least with optional wedding <-- not a big fan of cliches) as well as the option that the Reapers win and everyone is dead and everything inbetween (all depending on the decisison from ME1, ME2 and ME3! not just ME3).
Just don't make the decisions as black and white as they were in the Suicide Mission -> loyal survives, not loyal dies (not entirely true but still). When I played myself (and also when I watched some friends play), I always thought eg Miranda would be a good second team leader but since Jack is in her group (and not loyal to me) there could be complications so I didn't chose her even though she would have been perfect for the job. It would have been cool if there were some more factors to each decision then loyal and not loyal like friendship, hate and history between people.

Also please don't make ME3's main story about recrution various factions a la Dragon Age: Origins. At least not the entire game until the end game.

I am really looking forward to ME3. GO BIOWARE!

I'm still hoping for the optional "all is lost" type ending like ME2 had to really make this something to remember! Everything else for me is negotiable but we MUST have that potential ending available!

When I first started playong ME2, being a great fan of the first episode, I was frustrated at first that the RPG side of the game was so profoundly reduced. Then I really enjoyed the game anyway, because the combats are a lot of fun, mostly thanks to the use of the powers.

So what I think would be cool in ME3 : Furies : very enhanced powers for massive croud control in more heated battles (with more ennemies !). These powers would be usable only in the most extreme cases : after a long series of successful normal hits landed on ennemies , and/or when the health of Shep or the party gets to a low level. I think to make this interesting those powers shoud be unlocked by a special mission, and a choice be given between two variants for each class. I’d like to see a choice between the following « furies » for each class :
  • Adept Fury: « over the field » singularity : a large singularity in the center of the battlefield pulling every ennemy to its center for a few seconds, the ennemies reaching the center being thrown away when the effect stops, the others just falling to the ground / every enemy is subject to « pull »
  • Vanguard Fury: charge  with large aoe on impact, with a knock back effect on every enemy in a 180° arc behind the first enemy hit  / mass shockwave (3 lines of impacts)
  • Soldier Fury: group adrenaline rush to dramatically increase damage output of the group for a few seconds/ group explosive shot
  • Sentinel Fury : every enemy is hit by overload / biotic protection buble
  • Engineer Fury : every enemy is hit by incinerate / multiple drones are cast at the single time
  • Infiltrator Fury : group cloak  / group very high powered shot
Of course, including such « super powers » is risky in terms of difficulty balance, but I think Bioware is expert at balancing the difficulty of its games so they should be able to pull it off.

Just my 2 cents, but I think it would be cool, and it would fit nicely into the sense of epic that should be stemming from this 3rd and final confrontation with the Reapers. Shepard and his team should be a squad with the destructive powers of an army at the end of the game !

Also I would like to see each squad mate having a special ability like Grunt’s charge : I thought it was really cool, and it made a lot of sense with the character being a Krogan. I’d like to see all characters with a special hand to hand or close quarters move : there are a lot of examples of these in the cutscenes for most of the characters : hand to hand biotic punches, kung-fu moves and the like. And I think it was a good idea that they were entirely controlled by the AI : it is that kind of details that really builds the character’s uniqueness.

Oh and I would like to be able to have a team mate that can use a heavy weapon (with ammo count on him too), with more occasions to use the weapon, and of course more ammo available. In ME2 I harldy ever used these except on the Praetorians and YMIR Mechs. I would have liked to use them more, and on group of ennemies as well as on the « sub-bosses ».

And space combat, maybe strategy based (planning the offense or defense of a fleet from the bridge of the Normandy would be awesome).

And like a lot of other people, i’d like a return to a little bit more of an RPG feel with a possibility to customize the weapons / armour / ammo more (for Shep and his squad), but without going back to the ME1 inventory (boring medigel conversions ugh). A little bit of awesome loot would please everybody I’m sure too.
And a little bit more choice in the powers tree, to deepen the strategies and builds.

Also, more interaction and dialogue with and between team mates, and the possibility to send some of the team on some ressource/item gathering mission (with a chance of success depending on equipment, and some money/resource loss in case of failure).

Elevators were better than loading screens.
The mission accomplished screens must go.

And a balance between the boring « mining exploration » in ME2 and the lots of exploration, but in empty landscapes in ME1 should be found. The exploration part is very important in my opinion as it is what gives the sense of a vast world full of mysteries…

I'm really looking forward play ME3, Bioware games in the past few years for my taste. I'm sure they're going to make a great game!

A really good way of customize- and/or building your own weapons. Say, you have a base, example sniper rifle base. You can then add barrel, scopes and other features to enhance the weapon. The better base, the more and better pieces you can add. Of course there should be some sort of drawback, like fewer clips, longer reload rate, more damage but lesser accuracy etc, so that you have to balance improvements and drawbacks. That kind of stuff.

A hard decision like Virmire, from ME1.

And having several story endings, like Shepard dies, or the galaxy gets blown to hell in a handbasket, or Shepard gets married to their LI and lives happily ever after or something. I have four different playthroughs, I want to see several different outcomes.

Please and thank you.

One, it's "mode" I think you were looking to use. Second, after a mission is done there really is no need to revisit old battle-fields that have been cleared, unless of course you didn't scan a needed upgrade. Third, same sex relationships only work if they are "in character" and for some they are not aways so for certain characters, but you forgot to mention Kelly Chambers as a possible same sex romance option. Still just as some people in real life are not into that thing it should also follow for fictional characters as well. Just throwing in some common sense for ya'.

My wishlist is:

1: Conversation with squad mates to be more back and forth instead of just one sided. I want them asking me questions and stuff instead of me just interrogating them.

2: Squad mates to interact more with each other and the rest of the crew. I'd like them to talk more with each other during scenes and when walking around the place. I'd also like them to reference each other more in the one on one talks they have with Shepard.

3: Crew to walk around the ship. Maybe not walk around the whole ship because it would become annoying trying to find them but have them walk around small sections instead of just standing still.

4: More scenes like the one with Miranda and Jack but not always scenes with squad mates fighting.

5: The ability to change relationships between squad mates. Through dialogue options I should be able to make squad mates hate each other, become friends and perhapes even get romantically involved. For example I Jacob could inform me he has a thing for Tali. Through talking with both Jacob and Tali I could either set up a date for them or cause them to hate each other. This option would only be available if you're not involved with Jacob or Tali of course. Also I'd really like to be able to set Samara up as a teacher/friend for Jack. Samara is a powerful biotic with strong sense of right and wrong. Jack is a powerful biotic who doesn't really know what to do with her life. I think having Samara train Jack as a Justicar would be cool.

6: Multiple alien spieces in my squad. In ME and ME2 you get a bunch of Human squad mates and only one alien of a certain speices. Only one Turian, Only one Asari etc. Dragon Age: Origins suffered from this as well. I'd like to have two Asari squad members to choose from, two Turians etc.

7: My squad to not leave and I have to find a new one. I don't want to start up the game to find that after the end of ME2 all my squad just decided to go there own ways. I want them all to still be there with me. Of course I'd also like a few new squad members to recruit as well.

8: More then one side mission for each squad member.

9: Toggle helmet on or off.

10: For the last mission not to give me the choice of have Shepard die to save the universe or have some innocent die to save the universe.

11: Multiplayer versus which lets us use our own Shepard to fight other peoples Shepards. It would be class based multiplayer using the classes already in game though they would be twinked for multiplayer play to be more balanced with each other.

You should still be able to talk them into it.,i'm just saying.PC,people are doing it with mods.
It should still be your story, and how you make it right?
I'm just saying it should be an option for fun is all.

second,I'm talking about non scannable items because that would be too easy wouldn't it.
third, what did you not understand about exploration  on #3?I didn't say anything about a Mission did i?

I would really like to see much more squadmate banter, both between themselves, and to Shep and NPC's. I would also like to be able to actually talk to my squadmates at any time, like in DA:O. Bringing back elevators would help this!

Also, I would really like to see full length missions based on your background, (spacer, colonist, earthborn) as well as special full length missions based on what class you pick. These could even be flashback missions, (gasp!) which gives your Shep more of a defining edge. I would try to think up some examples for these missions, but it's getting late right now...

I don't remember if I made a post about armors earlier in this thread, but something recently came to light. If this has been presented before I apologize, but I really want "actual" customization of armors to come back. I want what we had with Mass Effect and the color changes we have with Mass Effect 2. The reason is here in a post by ELE08 in the Share your Shepards thread: http://social.biowar...6184/62#5322823

If you look at the last image...I would like to be able to take various armors and decide whether they fit for my character. As it is, (if I start trying to do it) I have to go through a lot just to get the result she did in the last picture.
