PLEASE...no more resource mining. Innovative, yes, but it destroyed the flow of the game.

Was it really that bad?... I admit that Planet scanning was kind-of dragging at times (especially on new play-throughs) but I found it very interesting.  It could've been better, but the idea of exploring the universe finding the names and surface conditions of previously unknown places added to game.  not only do you get to play the game, but you can also imaginatively read about other places in the Mass Effect universe.  gave a sense of realism and neccessity, finding resources to produce new items.  and not being able to just rush through the story added to the RPG factor.

Sometimes when I'm playing, I do a few missions then go to research upgrades only to find out I need to scan/mine. so I'm like "awwwww I really don't feel like it right now" lol.  I can't say I enjoyed every bit of it, but having read the books and comics, I wouldn't take it away completely.  Shorten it or make it so that once you beat the game you don't have to do it as much.  ME3 should maybe give the player a choice. (To mine, Or not to mine? That is the question)  mining/exploring, giving optional benefits.

No higher level enemies being resistant to certain types of attacks just because they have "Armor" or "Shields"
- Seriously I don't want to use my biotic abilities on people I can kill in 3 shots.

Don't make the entire game about finding people
-It was good the first time but make it more of a Dragon Age: Origins approach where you get your party members early and do main missions instead of a bunch of missions to find your party before the ending mission.

NO WAVES OF ENEMIES
-PLEASE NO don't do a Dragon Age: 2 and prolong boring fights with random things showing up every 10 seconds, its monotonous and adds little to the way of gameplay, and actually removes most players ability to go into a fight tactically.

Bring and Inventory system in
-I personally like the inventory system and trying to get good gear for all your party members (Although not a ME 1 approach) I hated the fact where if I missed and object all my characters were weakened forever and could never get that bonus.

No Shirtless characters
-Just give Jack  a shirt please, I don't want to see her tattoos and whataever.

Well after finishing ME1 and 2 .

What I want is the best of ME1 the inventory system and skill set .
Mix with Best of ME2 the cover system + Crouch and Jump (use Q and C , put cover and use on E ) pointing companions to cover system can easily be bypassed with other keys during pause .

Anyway Citadel in ME2 is only 1 ward , but in ME 3 I prefer to have the whole Citadel with all the old toons .

Spectre the reason for playing ME1 should come back in ME3 , its a trilogy after all .
So making people really want to replay everything again , and go out buy the whole collectors edition .

Infact remake 2 and 1 with engine used for ME3 boom have all 3 get the ME terminus sector complete for game plus .

About romance give me a harem option :P or men or women who are less selfishe and prudishe .
Come on let us have a reason to be renegade instead of paragon .
Reward the renegades

Well for the rest I don´t mind scanning , miss the landbased exploration.
Oh please give me a ability to skip Long Cinematics , like suicide mission .
Watching it 20 times trying to save my crew was a headache .... (the space part)

renegades not rewarded? Renegade and paragon are the only rewarded ways. Everything in between makes the game difficult.

GenericName, what you are asking for when it comes to finding new party members early, was also a plus in ME1, not only dragon age. And you can already give Jack a shirt (even without DLC ;) ).

 1. Larger scale environments, combat, and gameplay- This is it. This is the climax that Mass Effect fans have been waiting for. It goes without saying that ME3 should be more epic in scope. I'd most like to see the opportunity to bring more squadmates along for each mission. Plus, seeing as the galaxy appears to be engulfed in full-scale war, it would be nice to see Shepard and the team fighting alongside various factions' armies. Larger mission maps would be cool, too. I hope that Bioware adds more open environments.

2. More dialogue and interaction- I know this is asking a bit much from Bioware already, seeing as they set the bar for dialogue and interaction in RPGs, but this would still be nice. Perhaps some more varied dialogue choices for Shepard with an indicator as to how the response willl sound, a la DA2. It would certainly add some depth and uniqueness to one's own Shepard. More interaction with your squad could be nice, too. More idle banter, probably some combat dialogue, and definitely more conversation options. Some of the previous requests for this have some good examples. Maybe the option to take the crew out for some R&R or something. Maybe, after a successful mission, you could get the option to congratulate your team or discuss the mission. I don't know about the rest of you, but I want the option to fist-bump Garrus and Wrex.

3. A setting that evolves over time- This might also be difficult, but it would be a nice touch. We should get a sense of progress of the war as the game progresses. Some off-hand news reports, e-mails, and cutscenes would be cool. For example, one might visit the Citadel early on to see just the Destiny Ascension and a few Turian and Asari ships defending it. Later on, perhaps we see that the defenses have been bolstered by large numbers of Alliance vessels, the Migrant Fleet, and (if you saved them in ME1), Rachni...I don't know, Bio-Ships, maybe.

4. Less linearity- Different routes to take throughout a mission would be sweet. Maybe not the smaller-scale, covert missions, but maybe larger scale battles. Shepard could be given various objectives scattered around the battlefield and it would be up to him to decide which ones to solve and in what order. Some of those objectives could be optional faction-specific ones to determine whose side Shepard is on--Alliance or Cerberus, Geth or Quarian, etc.

5. Concerning party members...-While it would be nice to see the everyone from ME1 and ME2 together as recruitable squadmates, it shouldn't be mandatory or that important. Some faces I'd like to see back in the party roster, though, would be Tali, Garrus, Zaeed, Liara, and Wrex (Shepard). As stated above, more interaction would be awesome. Loyalty quests were great in the previous games, but I'd also like to see (small) loyalty quest chains,a la DA:O. A sense of bonding and progress in your squad should also be visible. Some character-specific conversations like in DA:O would be great. As time goes on, maybe Shep's old squadmates from ME1 and 2 should warm up to each other/to new arrivals.

6. Concerning memes, pop culture, and call-backs...- Recruitable Blasto? Please? I'm hoping for "Don't Fear the Reaper" to be either part of the soundtrack or a quest name. And if they're going to reveal Tali's face, it has to be tasteful. It should be an important part of Shep and Tali's relationship, not just as something tacked on to pander to the fanbase. Better that she remain faceless to the player than her reveal be anticlimactic or poorly executed (But this being a Bioware game, I doubt it will be either). I also want to see Niftu Cal, BIOTIC GOD, as a recurring character. He could be comic relief or he might have learned a thing or two about sweeping people away like a great biotic wind between games. I'm also strangely interested in the ME universe's media and entertainment--I really want to see Elcor Shakespeare for some strange reason. The option to call out Councilor Velarn on his dismissal of claims in ME 2 is an absolute must. And, just for fun, maybe a little side quest with Shepard and crew investigating crime on the Citadel? It could be called "CSI: Citadel Security Investigation" and Shep and/or his squad could throw around pithy one-liners with obligatory glasses pulls and The Who.

7. Wrex - Shepard.

8. A combinationof ME1 and 2 gameplay elements- ME2's combat was great, but I found it my squadmates' abilities lacking in variety. Maybe expand their range of powers, but not to the extent of ME1's. I also would like guns to include both the thermal clip and overheat functions. Maybe guns could be set to the standard overheat setting for basic combat, but Shepard can cycle a fresh thermal clip in when he/she wants to keep up the fire without waiting for the cooldown. Equipment upgrades and customization should also incorporate elements from both. Loot or purchase guns, armor, attachments, and parts from corpses, stores, or Space Ebay and then spend resources to upgrade them. For example, one could pick up a heatsink and then spend X amount of unobtainium to decrease cooling time and/or increase heat capacity. ME1's inventory system, while problematic and slightly annoying, was overall, pretty good. I just didn't like cycling through endless lists of vendor trash and omni-gelling everything. Looting blueprints or weapons/armor parts that you don't already own could be a nice way to fix this. Combine this with ME2's less RPG-ish weapon system (everything having pros and cons to balance them out).  I also liked the Mako, but hated its handling on steep surfaces and the relative emptiness of the levels. Give back controllable vehicles, but make them easy to use and their levels smaller/more populated.

9. Mini-games - Should be kept to a minimum, if even present at all, unless they're fun or relaxing. The hacking sequences might be considered small mini-games, for some. I don't know about everyone else, but I enjoyed ME2's hacking, if only because they provided a nice break from the fighting and seemed more hack-ish than ME1's button presses. An auto-hack option would be nice, but I don't want to have to omni-gel random bits and pieces to be able to do so. That card game Shep can play with Ken and Gabby (Skyllian Five, IIRC) would be interesting. It would be funny if we found out that it was just Pazaak (IN SPACE MASS EFFECT!). Maybe a flight/space shooter featuring the Normandy, a la Starfox or Galaga. Admit it, 8-bit Normandy would look like a palette-swapped sprite of the Galaga player spaceship. For some reason, I can also imagine an 8-bit Megaman-esque platformer version of ME1. Maybe I'm just weird.

10. Planets- Fewer uninhabited/sparsely inhabited border worlds, please. While they make for some fun side adventures, I felt that they detracted from the story most of the time. I'd like to visit more inhabited/urban planets and possibly some species' homeworlds or major planets--Earth, Palaven, etc. The Hanar homeworld would be cool. Heck, Bioware could just reuse Manaan from KOTOR with some spruced up visuals and Hanar and Drell in place of the Manaanites, Sith, and Republic.

11. Customization- I liked ME2's armor and casual outfit customization options, so perhaps Bioware could take it a bit further (reasonably, of course)? Maybe throw in some personal touches to the Normandy's paintjob, like replacing Cerberus insignia with Alliance iconography or some hot rod flames...Yeah, hot rod flames. Also, just for lulz, maybe the choice to make Male Shep sound and look like Nathan Fillion?...What?

As an adept player I'd love to see a more minimalistic graphic representation of the adept powers. I understood the changes in ME2 on a gameplay level but they felt weird. I didn't like the "shoot blue orbs" feel about them. In ME1 it felt more visceral when you pushed an adversary over a ledge of into a wall. Loved that. Maybe just some heatwaves but no blue orbs please!

I also would like to see class-specific situations during cutscenes EG: I read in a codex that adepts have to eat more so their rations are bigger than of the average grunt. Gotta love the immersion in a galaxy far far away like that! I'd love it if that was taken to another level.

I played ME2 and the thing that bothered me the most was that

-the difficulty wasn't that hard.
At the beginning it might not always have been that easy, but in the end your power increases and the difficulty in defeating enemies isn't.

-I would also had way to much ammo. I didn't even have to spare ammo going through the levels.

-I thought the missions were for the most part (except the end missions) not that long.

-You could choose between your "upgraded" weapons. I liked that, that you had specialised weapons and you could switch between weapons, but the upgrades were always better then the gun you used before. Why give someone an option to choose between a better weapon and a degraded version of it.

- I thought the choices you had to make ingame weren't that big of an impact to the game itself. Yeah ok you could choose, but more or less you would end up with the totally same ending.

- I didn't really like the mining of planets. It's really annoying to search for minerals and it doesn't feel rewarding.

-A bigger skill tree to choose from if you level up. Almost all of the 4 skills you could use were easily maxed out, so it didn't feel like I made a choice. In the end I could just use all my godly powers.

-More weapons. In ME2 you had a pistol, a rifle, a sniper, a shotgun and a heavy weapon. Why not give me a choice to like let me buy 3 diffrent rifles, so I could specialize in the use of rifles or give me a choices if i want to buy 4 diffrent pistols or go for shotguns and sniper rifles.

I didn't really focus at the details of the game because the core of the game matters most to me and I would like to see that improved first. The game starts nice, but half way it loses my interest and it's like I am being dragged through the game, not having any choice and not having any difficulty. I find that really demotivating.

1- yes I agree

-I would also had way to much ammo. I didn't even have to spare ammo going through the levels.

2- agree on some weapons, but not the sniper rifle or heavy gun

-I thought the missions were for the most part (except the end missions) not that long.

3- agree give us longer missions, or more of them.

-You could choose between your "upgraded" weapons. I liked that, that you had specialised weapons and you could switch between weapons, but the upgrades were always better then the gun you used before. Why give someone an option to choose between a better weapon and a degraded version of it.

4- 1000% agree keep all weapons useful by added pros cons to them.

- I thought the choices you had to make ingame weren't that big of an impact to the game itself. Yeah ok you could choose, but more or less you would end up with the totally same ending.

5- yah I hope we get more "OMG why did I choose that" moments.

- I didn't really like the mining of planets. It's really annoying to search for minerals and it doesn't feel rewarding.

6- you and everyone else scaning is

-A bigger skill tree to choose from if you level up. Almost all of the 4 skills you could use were easily maxed out, so it didn't feel like I made a choice. In the end I could just use all my godly powers.

7- agree, although the "specialization" at the end was nice.

8- hmmm could be interesting but the current system was pretty good.

9- if you mean more epic, choice heavy missions then yes but the missions in ME1 and ME 2 were pretty fun (side missions and all that)

I did the same topic just after ME2 came out, with fresh gamers imprssions and this is what they said they wanted in ME3.http://social.biowar...5/index/1014273
resume=
- Final boss EPIC figh tvery hard to kill(not like terminator reaper), make the galaxy feel the danger
- Decisions that really make big different impacts.
- ME1+ME2 long
- Full citadel exploration
- Last battle choices, anyone can die/survive(whole races included)
- Missions with much more epic scope, like some of ME1(feros, noveria..)
- Every companions that survived comeback ME1+2, plus some new, maybe batarian?
- Every major decision in ME1-2 huge impact, not just few dialogue altered.
- ME1 inventory and armor for companions back
- more revelations and unexpected twist(example ME2 collectors were protheans)
- continue the suicide mission use of squad, making all 10+ companion useful instead of just 3.(you can interact with them by radio, like virmire with kaidan&ashley)
- new ship, new mako.
- Quarians homeworld vs geth fight
- Quarians face(at least tali)
- Unique weapon and armor(customization)
- No load screen, if you are with companions is better some chating.
- more crowded cities
- secret unexplored n7 missions with big weight to the main plot if done correctly
- Normandy battles, no matter if we control fully the ship or cgi scene we push interrupt botons for certain actions when correctly pushed the buttons  that pop up.
- Planets to land always available to fight enemies every new time we land.ex: thresher maws.

AI hacking and dominate in ME3 should have the option (whether an upgraded version or a button command) to assume control of the target more than just having them just shoot your enemies for a short period of time, I'm talking hud changes and camera goes over the shoulder of your target and you can utilize that targets weapons and abilities that would make tech classes (engineer, infiltrater, sentinel) so much more interesting. it would also make the dominate ability more worth getting

"Shepard, what are you doing?"
"I'm...*puts on sunglasses*...assuming direct control."

But seriously, this would be a cool idea. Would there be some sort of mechanic to get the AI to target the mind controlled enemy rather than the character performing the domination/AI hacking ability?

hmm maybe its too late by now...i posted some specific wishes a few months ago...but right now i just wish for me, the other gamers and for YOU bioware...that you get enough time to create a great game...i am playing dragon age 2 by now...and at one hand i see the things you tried to let the style, story and gameplay become better...BUT  on the other hand i see a lot of shortages which made it easier to create the game that fast.( re-use of levels for example...and i dont mean just level design elements...i speak of whole caves ! )

so for ME3 i want you to take your time...

...and yeah...please keep thinking of the space athmosphere and dont get sloppy on the ending...please dont just let it all end with a BOOM...its just too cliché...you used so many space story clichés and elements by now (which is not a bad thing^^) but pls pls pls not the stupid action-movies-explosion-solution-of-all-problems-thing :D

i count on you :D

and btw DA2 isnt a bad game...not that you got that wrong from me :P

there's a few things i'd like to see in me3, after coming to terms with the fact that the franchise has turned into a tactical shooter:

-a bit more customization. both for shepard and the party members.

-fix the biotic powers. the blue orb you "throw" looks dumb.

-most importantly, make combat a bit more varied. force a bit of improvisation into it. make the enemies a bit more smarter and flexible. i would also like to see the combat areas bigger and allow for greater freedom of movement.

I want Mass Effect's music style back
more armor - guns
MAKO explorations
more realistic approach like in the first game
more and more characters to interact with and more interactions
a more vast enviournment
more personal quests aboud Shepard to let us know more about her(or him ...meh)
being able to customize the hair and facial hair sometimes in the game it gets boring after a while :P
NO Loading screens just like in ME I hated the ME2's load screens
better lovescene's with alien lovers :-l Garrus deserved better
oh and most importantly I think we need specific animations for female shepard
and more quests like Tali's loyalty mission ..,
oh and also you know the first mass effect had this emotional atmosphere it made you drop your jaw in aw when u saw some of the scenes like the Ilos mission
that's pretty much all about it
oh and you guys rock I know you won't dissapoint us:lol:

MUST READ

I would first have to agree with everything figuare9 said, i think you have some great ideas for this mass effect 3 game and i agree with everything you said. I also feel that we share the same enthusiasm for this game as might everyone how played ME1 in its early days.

However I would like to add a few nigglets of ideas i feel would make the game even greater. These ideas are:
-Characters being more mobile:within every area of the game NPC felt stiff & non-active. I would like a more active approach like charaters that move around
-A mixture of "dart play" for extracting minerals from planets that are to hazardous to enter & vehicle exploration for planets that arent.
-Although this is a minor issue the inclusion of grenades wouldnt go a miss if it was added
-Possibly breakable environments but this isnt a must, just think i would be fun

Thats it

The absolute #1 thing on my list is...

1. ALLOW PEOPLE TO PLAY DLC OFFLINE!!! I dont know if anyone else has this problem (I may be missing something) but my game room does not have a internet connection I can use with my Xbox 360. Countless times I have forgotten you need to be ONLINE for dlc to work. If Im paying for it, I want to be able to play it offline. It ridiculous not being able to play "Layer of the Shadow Broker" wherever/whenever I want after dishing out over 10$ for it. I really dont know how hard it is to steal or download illegal copies of the dlc for a system, but Im willing to bet people who would do that would be about 1% of the people who are actually playing the dlc's. Seriously guys.

2. Loot/Equipment. Bioware some of the most creative people out there. Put that to good use!!! Being able to have a very large variety of each gun category would be great. Each specific gun would have a base level rate of fire, and dmg. You could then swap out barrels, sights, ammunition type, computer chips etc. (almost like a CoD: Modern Warfare weapon customization or an Army of Two style) each customization would alter the specific gun in some way. This would be really awesome to see be brought back from ME1, but tweaked to perfection!!! MAKE IT SO YOU CAN CUSTOMIZE PARTY WEAPONS AS WELL!!!

3. Armor Variety/Customization. Dont make it so you have to choose b/w 4 different sets of armor. Make a ton! and then add research upgrades you can "install" onto the various armor pieces. Im thinking make more armor categories too (Head equipment, Shoulder Equipment, Chest Armor, Leg armor, Boots) combine that with more customization and upgrades and ill be in heaven. BUT MAKE IT SO YOU CAN CUSTOMIZE YOUR PARTIES ARMOR AS WELL!!!

4. Bring back the omni-tool and biotic equipment upgrades you can find in ME1.

5. Keep the biological implants you can research and gain from ME2.

6. Keep the fluid combat system from ME2.

7. Expand on side missions more!!! They seemed to lack depth in ME2. Make some that dont necessarily relate back to the main story line!

8. MAKE ALL THE DECISIONS THROUGHOUT ME1 AND ME2 MEAN ALOT IN ME3!!! It seemed like the decisions you made in mass effect 1 really had no huge impact in mass effect 2. It was the same story with3 or 4 different characters. The worst thing is when a game promises different branching story lines but in reality just keeps you moving down the same narrow path with a few minor differences mainly in dialogue alone.

9. It would be cool to see returning characters from both ME1 and ME2.

10. The final battle at the end of ME2, when you fight that one enemy? Yeah, never put that in a ME game... People may feel differently but I thought it was just bad and a poor game idea. Thought the game was truely amazing until the end fight.

11. Keep codex entries!!! there awesome and really get you invested in the lore of the mass effect universe.

12. Keep making awesome music for these games.

13. This may not be a problem for other people but when a game is released and then in the next year they are releasing dlcs that cost around 10$ each... It makes me feel like I bought an unfinished game and now I have to put even more money into getting the most out of game experience. This is something that truely bugs me. I realize the game developers arnt necessarily in control of pricing, but maybe throw people who bought the game new a bone once in awhile and give them a free GOOD dlc. But I also realize that this helps break up the time between game releases and keeps people interested. So figure something out where it doesnt feel like Im being suckered into spending 80$+ on one game (<--- ridiculous).

14. If your gona release DLCs with new characters... please please please make them able to interact with you on the level the other characters are!!! that was one of the biggest dissapointments of ME2, the two downloadable characters just said phrases and never had any character development like the rest of the squadmates.

One thing I wanna bring up here. Have you bought Overlord? THAT is the kind of exploration and side missions I want! Not necesarrily hour long side missions but driving around in the hammerhead and going to your objective was great!

Mass Effect 3 can have some like that I don't care if we have multiple side missions on the same planet if they were on that scale. Overlord showed us exploring uncoloonized worlds could be and Overlord showed be used as a guide line.

1. 1 to 4 Person squads (including Shepard). This can create bigger battles. Also, depending on who you have in your squad, and what powers they posses, a fire fight may turn out completely different each time. For example: Shepard, Legion, Thane, and Garrus are in a large, open world map. You have a large group of enemies some 100 meters off. The three squad mates (being expert snipers, tactical units, and infiltration masters) can snipe your enemies from a far without being spotted (Shep too for that matter). The NPCs will duck for cover, call for back up, try to retreat to a safer location, or go crazy with fear, and start shooting in random direction, or even panic and run in break formation.
Or, if you bring closer range fighters like Jack, Miranda, and Grunt, stealth may be more difficult to achieve, however because these three are powerhouses, your enemies would span out more to avoid mass damage, or simply panic at the sight of a biotic goddess and a Krogan warlord chasing them down.
Trade offs. There should always be subtle trade offs that make each fight fun, challenging, and very different. Going back to my first example, if you have Shep, Thane, Garrus, and Legion, the four may be able to coordinate a great preemptive strike, but because there are more of them, they would be easier to spot (depending on their distance from the targets, the model of rifle they are using, the cover they are using, etc). If you bring just Thane, however, you may be able to pick off all of your enemies without them ever discovering your location, albeit taking more time with just two snipers.

2. Squads having more game play relevance. Tech experts can hack doors that unlock short cuts, stealth routes, highlight enemies, hack credit boxes, create environmental hazards that NPCs can't anticipate, etc. Biotics can move environmental hazards with their biotics (duh), clear out nests of enemies, and set up biotic barriers that shield your entire team--WITHOUT THE USE OF GUNS. Jack shouldn't need a pistol and a shotgun. Neither should biotic-Shep. Thane should be skilled with all guns. Just two examples...

3. Powers. All of the powers should make the classes VERY different from each other. Biotics should NEVER need guns, as stated before. Hell, they shouldn't wear heavy soldier armor. They should be able to compensate rapid rifle fire with unlimited biotic power (with a small recharge time). They should wear lighter clothing, like commando leathers. Biotic Shep should wear a biotic trench coat, with a sleek, sexy biotic friendly combat suit. I think Bioware nailed the soldier and vanguard classes, but the engineer class should also be altered to be more about hacking, tampering, highlighting, assessing, and overpowering your enemy.

-----Weapon idea for engineer: Engineer gauntlets. Similar to Kasumi's shadow strike gauntlet, the engineer has two blue omni-tool gauntlets on either arm, used for up close and personal bashing of enemies. Similarly, adepts should have biotic gauntlets, that allow a biotic to bull rush an enemy, and smash them with a biotic charged fist that can send their enemy flying-----

4. Keep as many of ME2's squad mates as is necessary!!! PLEASE! It's bad enough that our team got about 6 conversations, but don't take them from us now!!! They have seen the Reaper threat! They know what is at stake!!! Don't make them go off and live their own lives, seperate from the conflict that made them join Shep in the first place!

5. Open worlds. If you don't bring back the old open plains that were fun to drive around in, then do something similar to Overlord, where certain side quests take place on large and exotic planets (and some seemingly barren planets) so that we can get in our kodak moments ;-)

6. PLEASE emphasize that the Reapers aren't just a fleet of loud mouthed ships, but an actual race that is extremely adept that wiping out civilizations. The Old Machines have been killing off sentient life for millions of years. Don't reduce them to being simple ships with big guns! Explain how the races, even those that predated the Protheans, fought and lost to the Reapers time and time again!

7. SHIP LIFE! Make the Normandy (or the Broker Base) a mini living breathing world, where your team can grow and work together, developing relationships outside of their relationship with Shepard. I want to see Tali and Legion grow to have a friendship. I want Samara, Thane, and Garrus discuss the corruption in the galaxy. I want to see Ash, Miranda, and Jacob put aside their differences between Cerberus and the Alliance, and grow to like each other. I want to see Grunt, Jack, and Zaeed trade war stories. I want to see Kasumi, Mordin, and Liara plan heists to gather important information. The more we see these characters interact (depending on paragon and renegade levels) the more the player will grow to care for each character in turn.

8. Support/Field teams. I know that having 15+ people to choose from to take with you on missions can be pretty complex. So why not have two classes of team mates: Support teams, and field teams? Support teams would be characters like (optionally) Miranda, Mordin, (optionally) Garrus, Wrex, and Liara. They would feed you information about the area you're in, the routes you should take, and advise you in a plethora of other regions. Field teams would be your main combatants (Miranda and Garrus, both being great tacticians and combatants, would be able to toggle between support and field).

Support teams would have their own loyalty missions though (which would tie into the over all plot of ME3), in which they came into the field with you.

9. No more crappy scroll wheel options. The Jack and Miranda fight was the worst case of this. Side with Jack OR Miranda? What the hell??? Only if you have high enough points can you choose to defuse the fight? Screw that! That is just cruel! We should be allowed to have at least three conversation directions 99% of the time.

10. More of the old RPG elements. I'm sure you can figure out a way to manage loot without stripping it completely from the game. I'm sure you can give EVERY character in the game different costumes that are customizable, without a preset of clothing. Please don't turn ME3 into a shooter foremost, and an RPG as an afterthought. Fans of the series loved the new game play options in ME2, but hated the stripped down RPG elements.
