okay i figured i can quip in here since i just bought a copy of the me 1 game and i have to say part of the things i actually  like is the ammo the poison, etc the upgrades are okay loved that part loved how the game looked compared to me 2 although part of me loved the new travel way i hate how they fly galaxy in the me galaxy map, ugh i really love the me2 galaxy map thank you, and the me1 survey tool augh i am glad they got rid of it and have the me2 survey mechanic but what i wish they kept is how you got you biotic powers for every point you put in you got on unlocked if you put point in that box the me2 was kinda lacking that feel.

in between traveling to areas elevators, augh please never ever go back to that, doors opening I loved this part of me they actually felt the door acknowledged me standing in front of them.. seeing the citadel for the first time in me1 LOVED the look of the presidium area in me2 erk only a office to walk in and thats it bring this part back but please for the love the goddess do not bring back the confusing hallways....

mako vrs hammer head

i loved the missions with the mako the only thing i hated was the fact that mako when you healed it you couldnt  move... at all till the healing was done

in hammer head the way to heal was  to move out the way and hide for a bit, mako was  feeling sluggish in the controls the  cannon suffered alot firing if you got  knocked up by the geth shield

hacking..  i shall ask that you never ever , and i mean ever go back to me1 version please...{ what i did like if you messed up you could try again if you turned a weapon to gel that was useful} but the hacking in me2 was much better and felt  like i actually have to watch out for the  colors instead presing some darn combinations of xyba over and over...

and  the one thing i loved that you actually  was able to disembark from the ship!! please keep this in  next version of me3

 so my wishlist is this

Add new  presidium area like me1 not just a  elevator and enter office in me2 but please do not go hog while with areas that confusing to look around and explore..

mako please add tis with some refined mechanics like thunder head
thunder head more missions firewalker seem really short and had no exploration values and  couldnt see anything except the area where we landed.. mako was fun and  i could infact   do things that i couldnt do in the thunder head.

disembarking bring this back...
upgrading sorta bring back the old way but mix it up with a twist or something
ammo please bring back the choices!! in me 3
biotic specing please go back to the old way but keep the improved and other things from me 2..

At OP. I agree with basically all of your ideas :).  Also we need another epic credits song to finish the game with like in ME1.  I found myself replaying the first ME way too many times just to hear that song in the credits :).

Please do away with the mission complete screens.
These break immersion in the game world.

I think adding secondary fire options to guns would add great versatility to the combat.
Could be as simple as laser sight toggle for Pistol.
But could be things like frag or flash bang grenade for an assault rifle.
Or burst fire for a shotgun.
I didn't like having grenades be a power and thought they should just be a standard part of the combat system.

Also repeat from before, squadmate banter!

Yes. Long ago. Which probably means that it is far too late to use any new ideas for ME3 and Bioware has long since begun the polishing of the game.

It was rough skimming through 300+ pages, but a lot of what I would consider suggesting here has already been mentioned several times over. One thing I will add though:

Please STOP toning down the romance scenes.

In ME1, you (tastefully) showed naked characters.
In DA:O, you toned that down to show characters in their undergarments.
In ME2, you toned that down even further to show a bra.
In DA2, you toned it down yet again where everyone is completely clothed.

You've gone too far with appeasing the censors to the point your romance scenes are just cheesy. Frankly, I thought the romance scenes in ME1 were very tastefully done, but I understand you guys took a lot of heat for that. Perhaps something between DA:O and ME2 would be a good compromise. But for a game that is appropriately rated "M" for Mature, it's gotten ridiculous.[quote]

I totally agree with you. In my personal opinion its better to show sex in a tastefully way then hiding it

My biggest wish for ME3 is: PLEASE bioware take your time for the gameB), don´t rush it.

I´m sure we can wait, if the game is good in the end,^_^ and add the talk after romance scenes again.

I mean where on Earth or in universe a Woman don´t wanna talk, after sex.

DirectX 11 agreed.
Return of the Mako
ME1 Overheat system...
ME1 Skills system (cause I'd rather be a specialist in a few than a jack of all frikken trades)
ME1 Weapon/Armor upgrade system (if I want to be able to do more damage to synthetics/biological enemies, I'll use the appropriate upgrade, not a freakin skill...cause that is not a skill...it's an upgrade...how does experience allow me to make explosions bigger from standard ammunition?)
Essentially, make the game more like ME1, or at least a balance between ME1 and 2...I enjoyed 2, but I would have loved it more if it expanded on 1 and not taken so much away in terms of mechanics.

It would be nice if every class had their own version of a "heavy weapon"; one that suits that specific class's skills.

For instance: soldiers could still stick with the current loadout trend of heavy weapons as it suits them. Adepts and vanguards could have their variation of a heavy weapon, one that is specific to biotics, like a certain power that takes longer than the others to recharge but is as devastating as the Cain is or something. Same thing with the tech classes. This is if there's still going to be heavy weapons at all in ME3, of course.

  • A mixture of the hammerhead and the mako. I really preferred the hardiness of the mako, but I also liked the better mobility of the hammerhead ... so what I would like is basically a tougher hammerhead, which can take more hits.
  • The same weapon-reload system as in Mass Effect 2. Please don't bring back the overheating system.
  • Return of the Flashbang-Grenade at least for the soldier and Infiltrator and addition of other grenades.
  • Return of all the trademark-abilities: Charge, Singularity, Tactical Cloak, Adrenaline Rush etc...
  • More Normandy fights ... lets see those upgrades in action more often.
  • Soundtrack similar to ME2 (it was really great)
  • More exploration (but not in a dull way like in ME1)
  • More possibilities for class development: For example a new class, the operative, which is the soldier and infiltrator combined. You can then choose to either create a stealthy or a more direct fighter.
  • More Melee-options: An Infiltrator with Tactical Cloak should be able to sneak up to enemies and take them out silently. Soldiers and Vanguards should have stronger melee-attacks than the other classes.
  • More fluff-locations ... like a casino and bars etc.
  • A resolution of all the major storyline-questions
  • Return of old crewmates (Garrus, Tali, Wrex(?), Liara(?), etc.)
  • I want my Shepard to keep his scarring (VERY IMPORTANT!)

I hope anyone who reads this even the makers. This is my hopes for ME3.
As has been said above over the last 300 odd pages thier is a lot of very good ideas which fingers crossed will be in me3. Also the two discs I thought was a cool mistake as the size of the game should never be in one disc, your doing an rpg in the universe which is a very big thing so could you keep it as it is.
Use the disc fully so its gets to the middle then swaps not during a major fight. ohhhh next disc for me this RPG should be as wide and big as the universe but with the modern technology of today, it never could be mostly as to the storge loading and tech of today. As i'v found by the end of the game you have so much stuff you have no idea to do with when your at the top level you have the best stuff with hundreds even millons of pounds/dollars so why not have choices to use in helping or buying drinks, houses, whole planets making an empire or having the ability to or just be the soldier you need to be.

MY WISHLIST the use of customization of anything mostly guns from the barrel ,short, long ,different look, add on for the guns to the rectile colour size image having a large magazine to changing of bursts of fire single, double, treble fire, colour of gun, extra add ons from  a torch, radar  for unnormal enemies with jammers, the shape even the use of bullet type, size of bullet ,greande laucher to different scopes even the clean and repair of the gun. No other games thinks of realism (its in the furture in space so very little realism) however as in real life a weapon is only as good as the one using it if its not clean repaired replaced its useless.
The little things makes a game better. Then theirs the armour as above any thing that can be coloured mixed or replaced please can we even if its to have different coloured chest armour added with different benefits with being able to mix the benefits or even making your own. Some with the tools used buying and finding extras too i.e medigel (for quicker use ,more hp, extra side effects from good to bad) grenades even the ship or mabye vehicles.

Give us what I think makes us get as deep into an RPG as we should by making us feel its us in their with the tech of to day theirs not much anyone can do to get your face on the person you can get very close but not spot on. Its not biowares fault the tech as good unless im wrong?  Same as height  and some build (a fat shepherd not the best look) with one more thing I know its a yankee game but can you add different accents or even the hint of one is a little thing id like .
With the ability to go to places on earth too ,london uk  E.T.C

Adding a place of birth one thing thats not in the games is anderson is english who on earth would knew but as its in the future in space most accents have mixed.  I could add more but if you have read this far thank you please comment and most of the people before me have said alot of awesome ideas .

My suggestions in no particular order of importance/scale/category/value of common sense. May make potentially no structural sense to most people, so read at your own risk. It's all off the top of my head as I write.
  • Fix the ammo power holograms on holstered weapons already. They look weird when they're sticking out like that.
  • I'd like a horizontal cover swap mechanic added to the overall combat system - and would appreciate making the fights less sticky and more tight.
  • People say the Mako made ME1 feel spacious, I say it was the old-school inventory micromanagement and some pretty convincing RPG elements. Pretty please...?
  • The HUD looked ugly in ME2 - I'd prefer a more though-out, both in terms of ergonomical layout and style, UI in ME3.
  • I know it's a long shot, but... I'm hoping we'll we have both the Terminus Systems and the Council Space available for exploration :\\ I know, I know, it's unmanageable, redundant and whatnot, but I kinda thought the whole dividing ME1/ME2 in accordance to CS/Terminus was leading up to something like this...
  • Better humanoid NPC animations during combat please? Especially the walking part.
  • Oh. And talking of walking. The infamous Shepard Limp. I think you know where this is headed already, so I'll leave it at that.
  • More homeworld visitings maybe? Thessia, Palaven, the salarian-planet-the-name-of-which-I-don't-remember?
  • Sharper textures on main characters please? At least make the LOD system turn on hi-res versions during conversation sequences if it's so impacing to the overall gameplay during combat/exploration.
  • This is a weird one: remove the heavy weapon from the quick-select scroll list. What I mean is, you can only select it from the tactical pause or via a hotkey - NOT while scrolling the mousewheel. Because the latter is for quickly whipping out a gun, right? And the heavy weapon takes too much darn time...
  • You use the default move to/get to cover/attack command of a tech character on a door/locked crate, he/she bypasses it based on a probability percentage determined by his/her XP and level. Eh?
  • Remove the paper sheets disguised as armor plates from the Hammerhead in favor of some genuine defense.
  • An epic sequence at the end where you control the Normandy, maybe re-use mechanics from the LotSB chase scene and tweak the physics a bit for a heavier feel? I'm not saying to remove the on-rails aspect or anything, just let us pilot our beloved ship! :D
  • Characters need two versions of clothing. Casual wear, which is tied to their personality and all that and is unchangeable, and a similarly unique armor set we can only color. I think that'd work well, not to mention eradicating the weird skin-in-vacuum moments.
  • Speaking of recoloring. We need that very same gimmick for... guns! They look so ugly in their silly rainbow-colored variety on some black-armored serious Shepard's back. But I don't think this should work as a purely aesthetic element; colors may distinguish a weapon's permanent ammo class, for example, or, like in ME1, simply indicate its power level.
  • We need the Presidium as a hub world element, even if you have to reuse the ME1 level segments. We just need it. Well, I know that I do.
That's about all I can think of as of right now, but I'm sure I had some other ideas needing flushing out of my system. I'll return and edit them in if need be.

another wish for ME3 is that if you have a male character another mal or female chacter can become your "bro". which means he's not only your comrade but also your intimate. so you can talk about your realtionships or your feelings about a mission. Similar to the conversation you have to Liara of the shadowbroker.

Another point i want to mention is that it should be possible to give your character an own opinion about relationships. also the realtionship of your character should be included in the missions gameplay and becomes more important to the whole story.

Another thing which would be great is that if your are not on a mission your char delivers an inner monologue while doing something normal like martial arts or reading etc.

My main wish: A Volus Companion - in a combat battlesuit.

That is all.

Oh OK, not entirely.

The main things I'd love to see in ME3:

- Awesome Volus compainon in mechsuit
- At least one sequence piloting a fighter in a mid-ship battle, not necessarily as shepard (Maybe as Joker?)
- The ability to command small squads of troops for large scale battles.
- More "open air" level design that's a bit less ME2 linear, more along the line of ME1, but ideally even more variable.
- A sense of urgency that isn't entirely artificial (ala countdown/deathtoll etc)
- 4 new sentient Alien races aside from any enemy aliens (friendly/neutral)
- A Main Codex Entry for the Drell and Yaahg
- Some improvements to the cover shooting. Namely very low cover that Shepard and Co go prone in order to use (the game Vanquish did this, it worked well), the ability to blindfire from cover in order to provide supressing fire, supressing fire that works (basically firing near or at the cover of where an enemy is in cover, keeps tham behind said cover longer, this can by time to move your allies into position), and the ability to tell your allies to give you suppressing fire to move to a new location yourself, and much more setructable cover more often.
- Either a tech or biotic ability to create those tangible shields the way the geth did in ME1
- The ability to take 3 squadmates into battle rather than just two
- If not that exactly, then more missions involving your entire squad as the final mission of ME2 did at least 2 of them.
- Long endings that reveal how many of your choices turn out down the road.
- The ability to change your hair style/facial hair either mid-game or at least at the start, without necessarily changing your face (at mirrors?)
- Better use of character abilities in terms of navigation (infiltrators can sneak into areas others can't, Engineers can open more doors/ fix objects in envrironment, Adepts can force open certain barriers with Biotics, soldiers can use explosives)
-New unique class abilities in addition to the ones already there
- Enemy AI that doesn't only react to you all the time (some sense of aggro on your partners, that you can draw too)
- More vehicular sessions to break flow from shooting, and more conversation/unique situations that don't involve either so game is in a 50/25/25 split. ME2 felt like a 90/5/5 split.
- Unique in-game benefits for developing a romance (your romance partner has added HP/adrenaline?)
- No more mining ME2 style.

Put some kind of juke box or DJ in some places like the clubs (especially Omega) and randomize the song played on entry.  That way we won't be listening to the same song every time we go in.

Galactic News Vids could have a more "CNN" feel

Much much more armor customization:  more armore types and styles aside from more color combinations.

A more interactive ship invironment:  people walking around the ship, if shepard approaches they shall solute.

bigger mission environments:  I'd like to see some places from the books, full fledged cities, maybe not fully explorable, but I want to feel like a part of the city, right in the mix of things. not just during battles but as a "hub"
in the dirst 2 games you kinda feel trapped or too restricted in places.

Up the sound effects for biotic impacts:  I love the FX so y not make em louder or upgraded.

I'd like to see Ilos again with the new graphics.

Batarian squadmate,  much bigger citadel and Omega

-Much more indepth RPG features
-No 'mission complete' screens
-Proper armour for squadmates
-Less linear levels
-We can drive the Mako again (improved controls of course), or maybe even a tank
-People walking around the locations (makes the areas feel more alive)

- Get rid of the Ammo Powers. They should be mods, just like ME1
- Get rid of the of the thermal clip system. or at least use a hybrid system.
- The ability to choose and customize squad mate armor the same way as Shep's armor.
- Get rid of the ME2 Cover system. Bring back the action hero feeling of ME1
- In cutscene use the weapons and or powers the characters have.

I think many of the stuff has already brought up before, but here's my list anywas:

1. Allow us to modify our squadmates armor and weapons like in ME1 !! <-- this is my No.1 gripe with ME2

1. Get rid of "Mission Complete" screen

2. Get rid of ME2 planet scanning

3. Bring back ME1 planet exploration, but improve upon it, remove the tedious climbing and some more exploration incentives

4. Bring back ME1 weapon mods.

5. Make levels BIGGER and nonlinear, ME2 levels were so small and linear

My only wish for ME3 is that I can completely hide the HUD at any point.
My plasma tv can't take having allies heads and my weapon info display 90% of the time.
The radar in ME did a number on my tv... couldn't do anything but run image retention prevention software for weeks. XD
