I have been thinking about what can give the Mass Effect universe even more life than it already has. While brain storming, I came up with this. Since there is always conflict in the ME universe, why not have it show with side missions? Batarian raids and rachni attacks are some of the problems that plague certain clusters. I would love to see clusters that have their own known, reoccuring problems. These side missions should be dealt out one at a time in certain clusters and the player should be able to get info on their location manually via radio. These locations should be randomized such as on different ships, space stations and different areas of moons and planets. These randomized missions should come up one at a time per the select few clusters so the player will never have to worry about missing a great sounding mission. After one of these missions is completed, another one in the same cluster should come up and the cycle should always continue like that, in my opinion. I think this would always make the universe seem fresh to the players.

The absolute single thing I want from ME3, literally the only thing I feel really belongs that is unconfirmed, and seems increasingly unlikely, is Tali as a permanent squadmate. She's one of only two squadmates who came back to run with Shep in ME2, and it would be a tragedy to leave her out of ME3 as a squadmate. Sadly, all the currently released data barely mentions her, and given other plot details announced in recent articles, which I won't mention for spoilers, it seems like this is not going to happen. I know I'm just being a drama queen but it almost makes me hesitate to preorder until I know.

I want squad member autocast to have five options: full, defensive only, full + defense strip, warp bomb, and none. No more of this idiotic "I used up my cooldown on a defensive skill I didn't need" BS.
'Full' is as it sounds: it casts a talent whenever the GCD is up.
'Defensive' is as it sounds: it means Jacob wastes his GCD on useless Barriers.
'Full w/defense strip' means that the NPC automatically targets the closest enemies with the defenses it can strip and autocasts. Once there are no more enemies with defenses in range, it defaults to the Full AI.
'Warp bomb' means that the NPC holds its biotic GCD until a target is affected by biotics, then autocasts warp. If there are no biotic-capable squad mates, this option defaults to Full.
'None' is complete control by the player.
I also want squad member autocast options to apply to individual members. For example, I'm taking Jack and Kasumi on a mission. I need to control Kasumi's talent usage obsessively, so I set her to 'no autocast.' However, I'm fine with Jack's AI casting Shockwave whenever it comes off cooldown, so I set her to 'full.'
Squad versions of ammo powers apply to every single weapon in the squad.
Your squadmates duck for cover if they get shot. If you've placed them in a spot where there is no cover, they will run for cover instead of letting themselves die.
Recon hoods. I love these things.
Mapping. It'd be nice (and realistic, given today's mapping technology) if Shep was able to use a mapping system (based upon the Normandy's Argus scanner) that gives a projection of a movable three-dimensional isometric map, the comprehensiveness of which is based on the amount of time Shepard spends in that particular battlefield. Thus, instead of having to stick his head out to point out via LOS where squad mates have to position themselves, Shep can simply draw up the map via omni tool and position the squad like so. The longer Shep spends in combat, the more he learns about the field, but the higher the chances that the enemy will outmaneuver him. Obviously, this would have to take place in real-time, unlike the LOS method, where a pause in the action via power/weapon circle was possible.
Heavy weapon: air strike.
In addition, an infiltrator or engineer would be able to scan out the area faster via cloaking or surveillance drone.
Engineers. Not multiple drones, but something like it. It might sound silly drawing from Hellgate: London (remember that game?), but anyone remember the Engineer's inhibitor bots that would slow down enemies? Something nasty like that: untargetable, uncontrollable, and incapable of any direct damage.

- Planets to land always available to fight enemies every new time we land.ex: thresher maws.

My ideas:

MINING:

1) Get back improved Mako Combat:
Improve vehicle in every aspect, make it with a little upgrades possible.
2) Metal deposits to be minable with following:
Probe - gets you some part of total deposit
Small automated refinery - constant, money investing robotic facility that extract minerals constantly until depletion and put them in storage for you to grab next time.
Small payable alliance representative building: Cost a lot of money, gain foothold for you and the alliance in the system, mine minerals with a time.

3) Minerals finally worth investing!
EEzo used to enchance drive core, everything - shields, mass accelerators... (Eezo is heart of technologies, let it be that heart truly)
Giving the schematic of the weapons, you can create them if you have enough of Eezo, metals and battery and specialist to do so.

4) Minerals finally can be sold!
Eezo - most pricey substance, 15000 Credits for 1000 units of eezo
Metals - more common, so less priced.

5) Some armor may be upgraded with mined materials
Larger eezo core - more powerful shields...
Additional carbon layer - more kinetic protection...

6) Mining the asteroid belt with probes.

7) Building additional ships, given a hell of resources.
Fighters: from 15000 of each mineral
Frigates: from 360000 of each mineral
Cruisers can be build only by large shipyards, and partial investment there is favorable.

8) Opportunity for second Mako purchase/finding and your squadmates driving it, making interesting whole base raids, defence from a lot of husks (truly a lot)



My Love Interest ideas


- LI musy be actually an LI
- LI must be actually an LI. Even before a house on selected homeworld, she or he must be a little closer to you, walk closer to you, in combat take the same cover as you if possible. There is a peaceful time still? Yes? Than when you simply walk on hmmm... Salarian homeworld? Or maybe the Citadel green gardens, your LI approach to you, sometimes placing her/his head on shoulder, hugging you (don`t be greedy! make different hugs!), some conversation, if situation allows - PARAGON option to give a kiss (+1 paragon). That is not hard at all to make it, but the whole impact is tremendously positive! There is a cabin too, so add interactions there as well with only difference - more intimate hugs, more abilities (paragon and renegade or only paragon) in interaction with LI. Ability to seat at least on more than one place in cabin (why all chairs are for? and a bed?), take more positions while holding each other on the bed, shift positions.

I can write even more, you love your women and you want only best for her, some mini quests (even if without videos, simple dialogue with interaction) like bringing her beautiful flowers to place them in cabin... or bring something special about her race and do it as a gift to her, for her to know how much she actually means to you (you will be pleased if someone give you the really ancient thing, a picture or for you to understand - a prothean, decorated with drawings of their artists - hand held sidearm)and you treasure yourselves in such difficult time. There can be purchased even some food, picture (instead of fornax in gameinformer magazine, something really masterpiece like Patrick Olejniczak artworks) that will decorate beautifully your wall, (don`t know who that is - GOOGLE the name and recognise ME artworks) big holographic screen for such a scene when you cuddling with each other and watch "Fleet and Flotilla", or like "Casey Hudson presents ME 12 on extranet"... i can go on and on, but whole impact is tremendously positive, that is really something that bring a ray of light during a reaper invasion...

This hanging around in many people`s minds and screaming in the air to realise, many look here, almost no one leave any posts and pluses for it to continue. I can write in detail LI part, in large post with almost everything how it can be - warm, soft, cuddly and treasuring each other, true relationship that grows to FAMILY (sound nice and warm, ultimate place for everyone of us). Treasuring each other and feeling love of your woman (any race, any gender (of course opposite)), do the best for her by making each moment a treasure that can`t be simply traded in even for entire reaper fleet at your command (kids may complain, but this is just kids).

It is the point/event that gives ultimate courage and will to save your woman, to be near her, warming her in your hands, making everything to keep every day in your memory - soft, warm, full of cuddling (knowing that reapers just need to think more abstract and a little more bold to wipe out 60 percent of races with minimal casulaties given their tech.) care and special feeling that you found your love and wife that you actually LOVE. Making gifts, marvelling on rare visits to other planets with view on different, beautiful sunsets and sundowns as well as simply marvellous views (even stopping on a mission to make picture of this view or hold your love).
Succesfully keeping each other alive, close and reducing negativity of each battle to minimum with love and care after it, by being very close and intimately alone (what i mean is holding each other not crazy sex that kids are after) while whispering softest words of love, warm and care with marvelling at love in the eyes your woman. Buying secretely little presents, like buying beautiful flowers (or getting some really important thing like artifact of her race or some beautiful jewelery of protheans or current species, with your both names on it) to make her feel how much you care for her or him.
Giving her a new clothes even when in cabin, buying videos/music for holographic FULL-HD screen like "Casey Hudson and Asari Concilor present ME 25 on the turian conference", "Fleet and Flotilla", "Fleet and Flotilla 2" and more romantics - action you get enough with reapers getting more real than turian fingers. Firefights with reapers is bigger that some street/gang/fraction or even races war - possibility of losing is higher than ever, so no action like "terminator 44: Salvation of Peaches. now with instructions :)".
Even intimacy, love making is not that often beacause it`s not one night stand or emergency aid, it`s your woman (or man) - love and pride (YES, kids want sex every hour - they kids, man can wait, if he loves, he gan go reapers and high water.) and there will be no second one (or will be but not the same and many people losing their love may go drunk, go marry again, but this will never be the same). Excellent citation to this - "Single, important things are easy to lose, and if you lose them - they won`t come back anymore. They are easy to recognise - lose one and you will understand how it is."
Whole thing of it - don`t take everything as granted, DON`T lose someone important to you. :)

Your woman moves to your cabin,she always with you from this point till having your actual home on the homeworld of her`s (again to make it special for her, and besides it`s always interesting) and live there.
There are interactions in the home much warmer than before - you paid your spectre duty, made so many that others only can dream and you finally accomplishing something you hoped and targeted since the first SR-1 - house with your woman and finally can be happy, without reapers chasing your ass for sure. You can chase each other in the morning sun on the beach, bring tea (other NON alchogol drink) to your woman in bed and even making love every day if desired - you always welcome here, this is your pride and your love, always with you, most important, beautiful and softest person that coupled with house (not the Normandy SR2 which was built by one and owned by the alliance)
is a HOME.


The galaxy can exist for millions of years, stars will blew and kids will still complain on sex and guns, but finally understand this with time or do not understand at all - no matter where you go, who you are and what you face, your love will always be the closest and brightest thing in your life surrounded by lovely morning rays... no one cares about your life and your home.


Those are obvious points, that needed to be said and integrated into the project.
I`ll write this in beginning of every new page for Bioware to see!

There are tons of things that I wish ME3 to have some of which:
Neutral Decisions. For example, when making the rachni queen decision insetad of there being a paragon and a renegade choice, it would be more like choosing between ashley/kaidan where there is no wrong decision for your morality path.
This has been discussed quite a bit but i just wanted to mention the combat/RPG factors. I like having more points to spend on more things rather than having to level-squat to get the next thing i want. And the combat/cover system should feel less clunky and more smooth (from what i've read in Gameinformer you seemed to already fix this problem).
I absolutely loved both games (ME2 being my favorite game of all time) and i like how the squad was a really big factor the entire game, but you guys slipped in all the big decisions/turning points into the recruitment/loyalty missions-LOVED IT!
Keep it up bioware, you've got an extremely loyal fan right here!

The main thing I want is a good selection of party members with complex backgrounds and stories and personalities. Mass Effect 1 and 2 both did a great job on this, except ME1 only had a few party members. Personally, I like having a big crew/party, with lots of people to work with and pick from. I'd also definitely like a better leveling up system, like the original poster said, and some kind of weapon and armour customization.

-More biotic powers for vanguard other then charge

-I want Mako back but better. I dont want it to be like the hammerhead where u get shot with a footsoliders pistol and suddenly your on fire.

-Remove biotic ****block. The biotic abilities themselves made biotics OP in ME 1 not because they could affect people with defenses.
-Buff Shockwave. All them damn explosions of biotic awesomeness only to stagger some1. I felt like THE GREAT BIOTIC GOD whenever i use it on hardcore +
-Army of tamed thresher maws with krogan riding them as cavarly againist reapers.
-Who the **** is James Sanders.
-Better heavy weapons. I hear people suggesting laser targeted Normandy air strike weapon.
-Look on Turian Counciler's face when Reaper Fleet comes to turn him into genetic goop.
-Better sex scenes if only to provoke Fox News so we can flame them some more.

-More weapon, like geth, turian, quarian, asari, krogan of course. It's hard to believe that everyone in the milky way is using the same weapons and most of them seem of human origin, every species should have their own types of weapons.
-Would be nice to be able to buy all weapons, and maybe only the most expensive should be possible to find on missions.
-Lots of armor of different origins and their bonuses should be reasonable (not 3-5 percent)
-Biotics shouldn't be blocked by shields,armor,barriers (only their effectiveness could be reduced)
-More tech and biotic abilities, more complex ability trees, more levels, and all abilities should be maxed when character reaches level cap)
-Being able to edit Shepard's face at the beginning of the game (eye color, facial hair, hairstyle)
-Maybe a stronghold for Shepard and his/her crew (abandoned/captured space station, asteroid base or something like that) after all upgrades for the Normandy can't be made in open space, especially that the ship got pretty messed up in the end of ME2 and the crew would need a place to repair it.

Armor, weapon and ship customization.

A place to own -> in essence a home.

Decide fate of quarians AND their (and councils) relations to the geth.

A volus onboard. He can procure certain hard to get upgrades through shady channels for a very high price.

Optional: Let us pump the volus up on drugz and get the REAL biotic god.

EDIT: 

How about a few melee weapons? Tali has a knife. Ritual turian swords?

Well just for some extra battle action in the real close encounters if you get jumped of those krogan wild "dogs".

Speaking of which. I want PETS!!!. Eg. Krogan "dog"...

The codex speaks of uplifted animals. Intelligent space hamster (or personal favorite an african naked molerat)?

EDIT2: 

Liniarity (spelled correctly?) is a double edged sword.

The RPG part lends itself to open gameplay on the other hand to further the story through awesome cutscenes is very hard to blend into that from a developers point of view I think.

Regarding the action parts. Hmm has any game REALLY allowed free play there? Battlefield series have huge areas but no ingame story to deal with. Deus Ex 1 had quite a few options on how to proceed but... Not alot of games had success with that.

EDIT3: 

Tiny fix for annoyance. "Runs down hall via space button. Skirts wallcorner. Ducks behind it while you really wanted to keep running".
