Agreed.

I like ME2s gameplay so I think there really doesn't need to be a change.
Please don't bring back weapon stats or accuracy statsPosted Image.

As for ammo, I liked it, made me switch out my gun Posted Image(Could see how a hybrid of the vent mechanic from the first game would be cool as well) but it needed a way better explanation.

Someone needs to proof read the planetary description please ,or better yet, give squad members combat hardsuit when they’re on hostile worlds Posted Image; TOO many times I saw my squadies (Grunt, Garrus, Tali excluded) walking around on a planet with temp of ninety-nine degrees Celsius and an atmosphere of ethane and all they wore were oxygen masks. Nothing shielding their eyes or skin... TERRIBLE!!! Posted Image
I'm all for aesthetics (Garrus broken suit was real cool lookin') But beauty can be left on the Normandy.

More party banter. The fight scenes between different party members on the Normandy were awesomePosted Image would love to see more of those kinda fights or somethin' similar for ME3.

Squad armor, well, just combat hardsuits fully customizable and able to equip different pieces if possible. I really like having different pieces of armor , but there wasn't enough of it, I think there were like twenty-five pieces in total that you could buy...yeah please add more Bioware. (No sarcasm intended.)

Reduce global upgrades and try to bring back weapon mods if you can.

Harder moral choices if possible. Posted Image

Keep Tali as a love interest and party member. Posted Image

Side-quest felt kinda dead in ME2. Shepard and squadies need to talk more, not on every side-quest, but have some take priority over others. The important side-quest has more party banter, Shepard deciding on stuff, or talkin’ more, ect.  Sorry if that was a bit confusing.
Awesome scenery thoughPosted Image , felt I was actually exploring different planets and ships

The loyalty mission were cool Posted Image, hope to see something similar in ME3.

Shepard talked too much on his own in ME2 without me choosing. Especially when you first talk to Legion, it was like I wasn’t Shepard anymorePosted Image maybe you guys can work on that.

And...I think that's it.

Other than those points ME2 was awesome.Posted Image

OBTW, I love the Cain :-) Sweet graphics and nocks down a Pretorean an company in 1 shot, and the human Reaper in 2. Short work of the thresher maw as well. I absolutely hated running into those in ME1 to the point I would just avoid the area or planet altogether.

>I want to see female Turians and Krogans. At least confirm that they look exactly like the males, like how it is hard to tell the difference between male and female snakes.

Everything in the blog link on my sig, most importantly.

1) Dont limit the player for any reason. Do not block access to weapons and powers on hub worlds. Do not block access back to mission environments and unknown worlds. Do not take things out of the game like inventory and the mako.

2) Fix the goddam' text size, as Zaeed would say.

3) Add more dialogue choices, and dont give players an "easy way out" by always using paragon and renegade. Dont consistantly limit the player to 2 dialogue options at important points in the game. Dont give out random paragon and renegade for everything.

4)

I want paragon/renegade to be more worked up

I want whenever i talk to someone to have a plenty dialogue with them

FOR EXAMPLE( after the suicide mision i went to talk with miranda with whom i had a relationship and she always kept telling me what she told me before we had the erotic scene)

I want more missions and better implemented(make choices, fight, run for your life, sneak up and sabotage something for example)

I want evolved rachni to be on my crew

I want to choose who will be on my ship and by that i mean i want to have many choices for crew members(example: I can have lets say 10 members on my ship and have 20 choices for crew members)

thats all

even if you dont change anything i will still love your games cause you are awesomely awesome

PS: CURE KEPPLERS SYNDROME:(

I would hope that they get the music matching as well as they did in ME2. in ME1 even Kaiden's (or Ashley's getting killed and Kirrahe's speech music), it was forgettable but ME2's score especially after omega 4 was high impact all the way until the Reaper fleet was visible :)

I would like to see skills that influence things outside of combat. I would also like to see intimidation/persuasion somewhat separated from paragon/renegade score. I also want it to be made more viable to play in the grey areas a little more.

Meh. I sorta disagree with the thread starter. I think is ME2 is waaay better because it has a quicker pace. I love the RPG-ness of ME1 but roaming around looking for action or trying to get the story moving took a lot of time. Not a lot of us has more than an hour of gaming time. 30 minutes of uninterrupted gaming time is a blessing. Plus having to fix the stuff you'll bring to the mission on the Normandy brings a lot of challenge (which I like) because if you don't choose the right stuff, you're screwed. I also didn't like the exploration using the Mako in ME1 because he slows the down the action of the game. I don't think Shepard would have time to drive around and explore a planet of Reapers/Collectors were breathing down his neck. He'd most likely be kicking ass the whole time to save the galaxy.

Anyhow, my wish for ME3 is really teensie weensie minor: the option to toggle helmets. I'm just after the immersion factor here. When in combat, I'd like to wear my helmet because it's appropriate but when talking to an NPC I think it would be nice if we could toggle the helmet or have Shepard do a simple animation of taking it off which would be the natural thing to do when talking to someone.

I would love to see some more support for keyboards. Like...

Buttons to select a given weapon (in addition to the next/previous/holster). Like a button for pistol. SMG, AR, SR, HW and so on.

Seperate keys for jump forward, cover and use with an option to disable the old cover/forward button combination. I often find myself jumping over cover by accident and die a second later. ;)

The above would also prevent the need to go into cover if all you want to do is jump over the cover. There are situations where this becomes tedious. It also looks silly.

A button to toggle wearing the helmet. ;)

A button to switch between armor and civilian clothes. ;)

Edit: Removed one idea from the list above. Was already implemented. ;)

Oh, and was I the only on who liked all of the hugging we got to do?  It was nice to able to touch someone else in video games now (you know, without it being an attack).

The two hug parts that really hit home for me was Samara's loyalty mission with the dead daughter's mom and Tali finding her dad dead. Touching and well done on voices, graphics and script.

Though to make it more complete when playing a heartless Shepard, Bioware could have put in a renegade interrupt where Shepard slaps the mom and tells her to "quit crying and tell me what i want to know or i'll put you down like your daughter." and smack tali on the back of the helmet and tell her "Stand up and start marching soldier, your dad's dead. Only thing you have left is revenge."

Maybe make it so both interrupts show up at the same time see players cursing when they click the wrong one :)

A brilliant story. With things called arcs, character development, foreshadowing, suspense, drama, mystery, etc. I don't care how much you have to pay your writer(s).

Everything else is inconsequential.

(And by story, I mean main story. I don't care if the majority of what makes ME, ME, is gone; if the story is absolutely brilliant. Just don't make it some kind of Shadow of the Reaper QTE puzzle thing...)

All i can say is change the ammo system, to a hybrid system, guns cool down and have thermal clips, so it doesn't seem to being always searching for ammo.

give back the inventory it seems restrictive to not allow us to buy and sell items to make some extra coin!

allow us when on missions to take our helmets off!, i spent a loit of time making my face look the way i wanted it, still turned out asian looking, i would like to see that in dragon armor!!

Best game ever!

A lot of things are being requested here, but I overall, I think Mass Effect is on the right track: streamlined mission structure, pace of the main plot (forcing player to move along is one of the best feature I loved), characters with more substance (although they still lack severly), and NO MAKO NONSENSE.

Anyways, if there's something to be desired in ME2, I can point out one thing:
  • Variety, variety, and variety! - Weapon and armor selections are too limited. Some are even useless, making this lack of choice even worse. Makes me think this is a intended business decision, in order to bring in more revenue with additional DLCs.
Some people are asking for more RPG elements. I don't like this request; I like ME2 much more than ME1 precisely because it deviated so far from the conventional RPG structures. It's a mixed hybrid, much more advanced in a lot of ways than traditional genre. Bioware shoudl definitely keep on going in that direction. Make something new and exciting. Create something ever more compelling!

Also, some asked Shepard's decisions more influencial to main story, even leading to completely different outcomes. I must disagree with all my heart with this one, too. Branching out will not only result in very awekward story development, it's simply impossible. Any games that attempts this came out as mediocre work at best. If you crave to see your decisions make the universe shift left or right, I must say this: The world doesn't revolve around you.

However, I did like someone's idea of having player choose to side with either Alliance or Cerberus. Letting player pick and choose various factors that have impact on how story is told... this is great since it lets player customize many sides of the story. Although this will have to stick to a same, coherent main plot. (While I may sound contradictory to my own words, this makes sense: end result may be saving the universe. You just choose who gets to save the universe: Alliance, Cerberus, or maybe a united multi-race force.)

So, as Bayonetta says, "Guns, Guns, Guns!!"

I want to be able to play it through to the end with the same level of skill that got me through ME1; I started it fine, but the combat changes may well leave me unable to finish it. Less dependence on planned tactics/skilled shooting would be nice, particularly with a removal of the ammo/'thermal clip' system or some adaptation to allow for unlimited shots if you're willing to wait for the timed cooldown (like ME1). Heck, a return to the ME1 combat system for Casual would be helpful, though I realize that's unrealistic.

I want to be able to land on Earth and/or Mars.....

I don't have any other suggestions after that. I could not have designed ME2 any better and I certainly do not have the authority to suggest anything more for ME3. The folks at Bioware clearly know more about this sort of thing than I do, and I am very content to sit back and let the professionals entertain me as they see fit.

Ok ME 2 Combat is a plus works fine. Story is fine.

Things I like to see

1. Get rid of the scanner probe crap "IT SUCKS" I rather have the Maco Back at least I got to shoot  a few things.

2. Inventory idea was't what most of us wanted we just wanted a way to sort throgh the stuff easier.

3. Bigger zones esp. main areas like the Citadel.

4. Moving NPC you know they can walk right. Scripted events making places vary based on a time maybe.

5. Dog Fights with the Normandy would be kewl. NOT an animated CGI.

Minor Gripes Bioware but, something that should be looked at for ME3

Well, ME1 for the PC had an easier sorting process but even that felt too awkward to warrant a return because of all of the fluff that was associated with individual armor and weapon components.  What we have now works a hell of a lot more effectively, IMO, so one of the things you could say that I want for ME3 is a very similar customization system as we have now in ME2.

Bigger Zones is also something I don't want for ME3.  Again, fluff was a big issue with ME1 because, for all the space offered by the Citadel, there wasn't a lot there.  4 shops, a few key NPC's (the same as we have now for most hub areas), and the rest was just pointless catwalks that only added to the tedium of playing ME1.  Mako segments also fell into that general catagory.  Sure, playing around with a rover on an alien world was cool...at first but after a while it lost it's appeal and became even more tedious than planet scanning (at least you don't have to climb any mountains for that.)

1: Go back to the ME1 weapon system. No millitary or security outfit would switch from a system the did not require ammo to one that only let you fire 12 rds. from a pistol and 24 rds. for an assualt rifle before you have to change a clip. Current 21st century tech allows 15 to 20 rds for a pistol and 30 rds for an assualt rifle and 32 rds for SMG's. Have the thermal clip shorten the cool down time.

2: A tactical map during combat.

3: I liked the old inventory system, I like looting

4: more upgrades, weapons and armor.

5: be able to upgrade other armor then the N7,

6: bring back the Mako, I had some issues but I liked driving around

1) More class/orgin quests/dialogue would be much aprichiated. It just seems weird that being a technician doesn't allow you to takl about something more technical when chating with another technician... maybee a quest or two that can be triggered only by a certain class? We had those small sidequests connected with the birthplace - they should return and there should be more of them - it increases replayability greatly.

2) More map variety - this time the map desing is really good, places are diffrent. But still - map desing is linear, if you are in an empty corridor without any place for cover - you can be 90% sure that nobody will attack you there, if you enter a big area with lots of objects you can use for shelter - you don't have to wait anymore, just pull out the gun - there's going to be a fight. Putting less weight in the cover system would be really nice, sometimes I just want to do a LEEEEEROY JENNNNKINS manuver but I simply get mowed down... takes away part of the "epicness" any combat system should have... you know... sometimes you just feel like running towards a guy and blindly pumping the shotgun (battlecry option is a must - imagine, you run towards a dude and scream "COMANDERRRR SHEPARRRRD!" lol)

3) I understand that Krogan, Vorcha and other extreamly violent baddies simply charge without thinking, but It just seems weird that everybody in the universe is a suicider. Imagine a situation: You are a Salarian mercenary, a hired gun. Suddenly Commander Shepard apears, he want to get past you to kill someone more important... however you are standing in the way. You know it's him, you know what he's capable of... and in case you didnt - he just killed your whole squad. What do you do?

a) jump out of your cover and fire few badly aimed rounds more or less in the direction he's comming from, praying that you won't end like the last 12 well trained, human, asari and turian merchs who did the same?

B) run like hell, screaming "I'M NOT ARMED! I'M NOT ARMED!"?

4) Defenetly more weapons and armor parts, return of the item stats. Also - I'm more than sure that it was mentioned but still worth repeating - other squad members should have costomizable armor too, or at lest more "one part armors" like in the first game.

5) Hybrid ammo system - If your gun overheats you can wait untill it cools or hit the manual heating button to eject the heat sink. Makes more sense and the combat experience more enjoyable. Making the autocooldown time longer than in first Mass Effect would make people manualy cool the gun during those more tense battles, but also alows them to use the favourite type of weapon witohut runing around, looking for sinks - just makes less frequently due to the heating. The way it is just doesn't feel reasonable at all. Your gun doesn't cool down even when you are not using it - "ammo" should at lest recover out of combat if we are pretending it's about cooling.

6) Volo, the Tapdancing Volus

(on a side note)

I was really disappointed that the major decision we all made at the end of Mass Effect had very little impact on the game. You only met the council in game if you saved them at the end of ME1, almost nothing in game indicated any difference between a human lead council or the renegade human only council, at the very least we could have seen hostile aliens angry that they weren't part of the council any more, and since the human lead/only council was Udina's idea, why are they refusing to see Shepard, laming the blame has his/her door? and why exactly would a human only council not see Shepard - he/she gave them galactic dominance and the seat of power.

ME3:

1. The council decision mattered - and has impact

1.1 Old Council in game (almost 100% certain that they will)

1.2 The human lead council in game- we get a different asari, turian and salarian all underneath the human chair men

1.3 The human council in game - we get to see 3/4 members of a new human dominated council

Please make the decision to save the collector base actually matter in ME3.

Other things I would like to see, will have been mentioned. Loved the new invintry system - just make helmets changeable during missions, that is realistic enough - unlike shepard being able to change into multiple armour or equp dozens of different weapons in the middle of anywhere.

I love ME and ME2, but here is what ME3 needs:

First and foremost, ME3 needs a musical score to match or better the first game. Aside from The Illusive Man's theme, ME2's score pales in comparison to ME1's.

Secondly, it needs an antagonist you can relate to and understand. ME1 had Saren; ME2 had none. Harbinger? Do me a favour.

Thirdly, ME3 badly needs some exposition from the enemy. ME1 suffered from this, we had two seperarte cut scenes of Saren early on: Him killing Nihlus; the other of him getting angry at Benezia. But nothing after that without direct interaction with Shepard. It needed more. As for ME2, Harbinger & The Collectors had none at all.

Finally, it needs a coherent narrative, with less contrivance. There's a horrific moment of contrivance in ME2 that really is out of place.
