Grow up and learn to accept and respect the opinion of others. Now, that being said. The ME1 inventory system was not the greatest but it can be improved. I believe it was due to it being orignally based on console roots.Your Synthetic Superior wrote...

Here is what I would like to see:
1. Allow me to equip my squad to my choosing - Bioware decision to remove the aspect of in-depth squad customization has me confused. I am suppose to be Commander Shepard and Bioware should let me play the role. As a commander, I should have all the tools I need to succeed. With the current system is Mass Effect 2, it's like Bioware took your Lego's away and gave you set of Duplo blocks.
2. Enhance the kiosk system - Bring back the ability to sale. Add more items in the game.
3. Paragon / Renegade system - For the most part, the world is in a shade of gray. No one is truly "good" and no one is truly "evil". In my opinion the Renegade option has you going around acting like an ****. There are a lot of "evil" people who didn't act Childish .

They allowed you to play an open world with as few loading screen as possible. Now though you have to sit through a loding screen which, to be perfectly honest, are crap. What makes them worse for me is there not even gameplay graphics there a wire frame of everthing. It was alright at first but after a short time got worse than the elevators. Mass effect to me is a rpg and having the loading screen takes the rpg feel away from it. So please think about it and bioware BRING BACK THE ELEVATORS!
I agree, even though the elevators were long they did keep you emersed in the experience of an RPG. Also I liked the dialogue between characters in the elevators. The teammates in ME2 were like deaf mutes. They only have something to say worth hearing on the ship.

I liked the elevators and the conversations. The load times were definitely too long to be looking at the same old holographic Normandy model over and over. The misson report screen with The Illusive Man at the end of missions kinda bugged me a bit too, but I got over it after awhile.

i would like to see the smgs from ME2 changed into machine pistols, them and the heavy pistoles should be made in o one class, and u only carry 1 of them. SMGs should be made to look more like the assault rifles only slightly smaller, the SMGs and assault rifels should be moved into one class SMGs being more accurate and the assult rifles doing more dameage and u can only carry 1 of them at a time also every one should be able to use the pistols and assault rifle classes
Everyobe should have a good anti-shield and anti-armor option. Take away SMG's from a player class and a you gimp it against shields. I found the shotgun's range restriction made them virtually useless and to top it off they didn't knock enemies on their arses at close range. I'm not interested in a husk merely stumbling backwards (if that) when I still have 4 others coming at me. A big disappoint considering they were my favorite in ME1.

i miss the conversations your squad had in ME1 it was good to hear them talk plus in the elevators you would hear a news story and recieve a mission from it.

In ME1 the N7 armor (Onyx) was one the lamest, they fixed that by making it customizable. Wat we rly want to see in ME3 is customizable weapons (the AR's are in desperate need for mini-scopes for long range fire fights).
exotic weapons like the incisor and the evicisirator: maybe a hunting gun, that instead of firing a large spread like the shotgun, fires a much tighter spread, over long range.
About ren/para points: it's o.k. if we're getting bonuses for according to our scores, but don't penalinize because we didn't max out our pargon/renegade scale (a.k.a the morinth canadrum). We like to play the game and make the choices that fit us. sometime renegade, sometime paragon, and sometime we're in the middle. We don't like to feel like we're being railroaded to make only renegade, or only paragon choices, because if don't accumulate enough points will miss out...
If ur insist on including space exploration, make it 3d. we're not asking for something too fancy, we know this isn't a space simolatur, but we would like to fly between the stars. also: the genius who thought about adding fuel, and limiting the number of probes u have (so it's enough i have to play this redundent scaning game, i have to return to go back to the system with the fuel station to restock, and refuel again) deserves a major paycut, for his role in finding ways to kill "fun"...
Scaning for missions, anomalys&artifacts:Yes. Scaning for resources:No. nobody like a timesink.
Resource gathering should be something fluid, and part of the main gameplay (like the cerberus funding), it can even be a reward based on skill, and lvl of success. It shouldn't be something that forces you to break away from the plot.
After u finish a mission on a planet, unless u "blew up the place", u should, in most cases, be able to "return to the scene of the crime", interact with ppl there, collect the loot u might forgot etc.
More interaction between the squadies. DA:o like conversations between squadies during travel. "sunken flagon" like interaction aboard the normandy.
fighting a Hanar assassin. A vulos squadie.

I agree completely. the hanar were great. So were the elcor. in ME3 you should see more of these races and others which dont look like human. too many races walking upright on two legs with two arms mouth ears and eyes.

i think they should add boots to the armor and allow u to change the shoulder pads, arms and boots individually. also some pieces like the helmet u should be able to customize like being able to add a different face plate to the helmet (i would like to use one like what the mercenaries had) and maybe be able to put some designs or descales on the armor. i would also like to see some weapon customization like being able to change the scope or remove that barrel on the bottom and replace it with a grip to improve accuracy or switching barrels to add damage.
I would like to be able to remove the helmet during gameplay or if you could set the game where he takes it off and holds it during major plot conversations after the dust has settled. I usually only used the "Garrus Goggles", except for side missions because I hate going through cut scenes with a heavily obscurd face.

- Rework on squad member commands or more specifically programing on each command status (regroup, go to this point, focus attack, etc...)
For example, one problem I saw was sometimes during the gameplay in ME2, your squad members would abandon their positions and regroup to you. I'm guessing this is the default status after a battle wave. The problem is though the enemies come in waves of 3-5 with number varying from 3-6. I died more because of that default behavior of regroup after a wave more then anything else.
Imagine the start of a battle with 2 heavy mechs, you power wheel to pause, send squad members to position/cover. When you get into cover yourself, your squad is dead because they are right next to you and not the position you specificed before. That lack of positioning weakened the strategic gameplay because sometimes that position is what defines a win and you being dead.
But, the strategic aproach in gameplay for a squad based game is great. Take advantage of pointing squad members to specific points given the layout of the current battleground and turn it into your squads favor. I found that a fun part in ME2, but thought they could have done more with it.
- Work on skills more, add more class specific skills, why is ammo on a power wheel...
I found the class specific skill for each class fun to use at first, but after awhile its was pretty obvious which class gained more out of their class specific skill than others. Some of those skills were situational, and you wondered why they didn't add another skill or two to focus on the strength of that class or tried to balance it for situations. Overall, fun at first but wished for more class specific skills to either strength the class focus, or help balance the class out.
- Bio-charge, I found my limit was a group of 2-3 before I found myself dieing. But you really see bio-charge effective again melee types.
- Tac-clock was nice for flanking enemies, but limited depending on cover layouts and effectiveness. Was also pointless to use until it was level 3-4.
- Drone was good, but I found myself thinking, "If only we could personalize or customize it."
- Singularity was ok, but I guess for the sake of balance they didn't make it like a micro black hole that sucks up the mobs into it...
- Tech-armor was fun if you are the meat shield type, wished you could personalize or customize it as well.
- Adrenaline rush was fun to use, but lets all face it, you wish it was like Krogan charge. However, I suppose that would make it a bio-charge clone.
Ammo type was a waste of a spot/spots on the power wheel. You are like, why didn't they put this as a sub menu on the weapon selection wheel. (X for incinerate ammo, Y for Cryo, etc...) Overall though, it was a preference issue and your willingness to equip them for armor, shield, or barrier situations. I was always like, "Would I like to freeze my enemies and break them into pieces, or turn them into ash and hear their screams of pain..." But I found after my third time through the game I just stuck with one ammo the majority of the time and save my power for something else because it was a waste of downtime to use my power wheel just to switch ammo types depending on enemy defence.
- More squad dialog!
I know there was a lot more dialog then before, but I guess after I pretty much drained my squad members to the point they are like "I'm busy, talk later..." What they are really trying to say is (if they could) "Hey stuipd, we don't have anymore dialog, do the suicide mission already! "
- More side quests in Major ports and Planet cities.
I was a little disappointed in the number of side quests for major ports and city planets like Omega, Citadel, Ilium, etc...
I thought to myself, why didn't they add more side quests so you could really get a sense of how big they were while trying to get something out. But I guess if they did that for ME2, they would have added 2 more discs for the game.
- More armor parts and add Customize weapons too.
I thought customizing armor was nice, but wished for more parts. I also wished we were able to customize our weapons too, but I guess that would have required adding another element into balancing out combat gameplay.
- Rest of the orginal crew joins for the final fight/play more of a role in ME3.
I like to see Wrec and Grunt on my squad or have Ash and Miranda do a cat fight in front of me...
- I liked the end game element of choosing squad members for specific tasks, and I hope they push it more...
Choosing squad members to do specific tasks in the end game was a fun element. That choice effected the outcome in two different ways. Either the member lives or dies during the act of accomplishing the task.
I wondered though if Bioware can push that idea and have you play those characters and watch them either live or die while trying to accomplish that task, and have different cut scenes for each squad member at the end of that part. Hey its the final Mass Effect, pull out all the stops and make it into one of the greatest games in all history...

all the classes should have assault rifle and pistol training to begin with, i was not saying to get rid of smg but to merge them with the assault rifle which would make since.
I thought the Tempest was an assualt rifle.
I have only play as a vanguard and have never used the assault rifle in ME2, but the SMG (the upgrade, I think it's called a Tempest) felt exactly like an assault rifle in ME1: Rapid fire, good range, good damage and gets sloppy with extendd fire.

A chair for Shepard.
Rather than limit particular weapons to particular classes, limit the number of weapon slots: pistol (light/heavy/SMG), heavy weapon and longarm (AR/sniper/shotgun).

apparently mass effect 3 is the the final one:police:figuare9 wrote...
Mass effect is hands down the very best game I've ever played. I enjoyed the trilogy so far and look forward to the next more than ever. I'm creating this topic as a goal for the community to reach out to Bioware to make mass effect 3 the very best it could ever be. ME2 Seemed to suffer a little bit in areas that ME1 thrived in. These are a few things that I personally would love to see in mass effect 3. Although I'm well aware we all would like different things, it'd be great to have a few things back from ME1. Things that really made it shine, and possibly some new elements in the mix as well. I feel as if ME2 has gone too far into the FPS-Action only, and will probably have hardly any RPG aspect in ME3. If we don't correct it soon, it'll be too late. With that said, here's some things that I would love to see in ME3 to really give us that RPG feel.
Give us levels that make us feel like we've accomplished something! (VERY IMPORTANT!)
What's the point in leveling up a character when you don't unlock
something for getting there, or have a harder time fighting something as
you level up. Let me give you an example. This game levels you up very
well but you have no challenges. Enemies seem to stay at an incredibly
balanced difficulty throughout the game. It'd be nice to have enemies
outside of your level that are too difficult to kill, or much harder.
Another thing would be level requirements for certain ship upgrades,
guns, ammo, armor, etc. Give us the illusion that the higher the level
we are, the stronger we are! IMHO there was no
sense of this in ME2, and half the upgrades we got we never noticed.
Bring back the Inventory (upgradeable sizing)
Theres always a good feeling knowing what's in your backpack. RPG gamers love looting! It's always exciting to pick up something that may, or may not be better than what you currently own. Another aspect of that great RPG feel could be to upgrade our bag size. Looting objects and selling them at different markets would be great. For instance selling something at OMEGA could be more valuable than at the Citadel.
Upgradeable weapons/armor (The NEW fasioned way)
I don't really like the new weapon upgrades as much as the first ME. I think that for ME3 something completely different would be great for everybody who enjoys this game. Give us content! Perhaps a new sniper rifle barrel, or a different scope/zoom distance. Magazine size/Ammo size. ETC. Something that really can make our weapons UNIQUE! Everyone can have the highest upgrade, but with this method of customization there's many more ways to enjoy killing the reapers!
Where did the vehicle go!? Please. . . Give it back!!
I loved the driving aspect of the game. It really gave you a sense of how large the game was. It mad me feel cramped having to walk around everywhere. I'm not exactly sure why, but for some reason whenever I got into the vehicle the game just felt that much bigger to me. I loved it. It may not have driven the best, but it sure was a great part to the game. I heard of talk about them creating a vehicle, but I've completed the game, and explored every planet with no success of driving one, nor did I see a place where one could be used.
Please, Make the citadel larger.
This one is crucial to me, but I'm not sure how this strikes other gamers. I really enjoyed the citadel in ME1, not soo much in ME2 though. It seemed a lot smaller and the fact that it was just a bunch of levels on top of each other wasn't much for me. I really enjoyed being in the Citadel in ME1 and loved to explore the life in it. The Citadel in ME2 seems lifeless, just a bunch of shops and levels. I guess it's hit or miss on this one with the community, but I though I'd point it out.
While doing missions, make them less linear.
Hard to get lost during a mission, it always felt like a hallway leading with doors to the objective. DON'T get me wrong, I don't feel as if the game is linear, but 80% of the mission are. There's usually only one way to go, one way to complete it, and one way in/out. Open it up! we want to explore!
Keep the Normandy just as exploreable/vehicle
Another big one for me. I think it'd be great to have the normandy land on a planet, walk down to the cargo hold, get into a vehicle, and drive it out onto the unexplored planet. Something tiny, but it's this attention to detail that really makes a game shine!
More Normandy fights!
In ME2 we don't really use the upgrades for anything at all. We spend thousands and thousands on mats upgrading our ship. . . and for what? A quick dodge at the end of the game? I wanted to really see how the upgrades worked, all I seen was it go through some debree. Some dogfighting would be great.
Keep this as the best game I've ever played, just put some more RPG elements into it!
I hope this can be stickied, and we can all come together as a community to make Mass Effect 3 the best game to ever be released. . . . Until ME4-100 of course.
i agree they did the same thing in the first one too
