-less linear main missions and less linear side missions (I don't like going from point A straight to point B.. let me do some exploration).
-bring back planetary exploration.. just keep the worlds smaller and more diverse (We dont need 50 planets of open nothingness.. 10 extremely diverse planets would do!)
-More area's to explore on the subworlds and more important side missions on each hub world
-More hub worlds!
I'd keep the combat practically the same but add more armors and more armor upgrades...and better weapons upgrades..it felt like none of the upgrades really improved anything..

I agree with these points. I like a lot of things of ME2 compared to ME1 (like the inventory), but I didn't like the number of weapons and the thermal clips. Sorry guys, but I preferred the overheating. Also, I continued to run out of pistol clips.tropicalwave wrote...
More interactions with secondary crew mates, like Kelly and the Doc. I like the improved conversation with Joker. On that note I don't know if this is even possible in a game but it always bothers me when those that I can talk to get to a point where they just shut me down. Takes me out of the role when they run our of things to say.
When the Normandy is docked why does it leave just becuase I go back to it. In ME1 you could walk onto the ship and then walk back off wihtout actually leaving port. Lets go back to that. Makes no sense to just head back to the ship, leave port, do whatever and then have to fly back and dock again.
I like the inventory system in ME2 but I don't like the lack of armor/weapons abailable. I also wish there were more upgrade options that I'd have to chose between. On that note I'd like to not have ammo as a power but more as an upgrade again. Where I could change them out on the power screen (do not share a power cool down.) Seemed like it was too arbitrary in upgrading now, too linear.
Bigger cities, ok the cities are very large but why am I limited to a very small area of them. More areas to explore, more side mission on the planets. I always left the cities feeling like there should be more there. As if I'm missing something.
Wow this is much longer than I thought it would be but there is one other thing I'd liek to suggest. The 4 skills that we have that are not tracked are hacking, bypassing, scanning and flying. Why can't these be done similar to paragon/renegade. That way the more we do them the better we get. Ex: Scanning, the more y ou do it the quicker it becomes, the more you get. The upgrade woudl be similar to the way it tracks signals but instead of white could be red. Hacking/bypassing gives more time. This would allow more difficult puzzles but not make it impossible to compete them if we ahve been skilling it up. Flying you use less fuel becuase you are better at movign through space?
and i hope the ME Series doesn't stop in ME3.
The reapers were merely a setback! We'll meet again!

1. I would very much like to have the ability to fully explore the Citadel for one part i was sad to see the Presidium in ME2 and not be able to walk it and it would be nice to visit Earth and cause some trouble as well lol Bad for a Paragon to say ah they will live...or not i will have to see what my motivation is at the time!
2. Being able to actually choose my team including bigger teams and many recruitment options...baring in mind ME1 and 2 characters, assuming we choose to keep them alive!
3. Being able to shoot council reps and members lol! Turning of the old no friendly and cilvilian fire wouldn't be so bad it goes more into the choice factor!
4. Owning a corporation of your own with many upgrade and expansion possiblities including using mercs in battle to help defend especially if it becomes a full-scale war as it seems to imply aswell as fighting along side saved allies in battle for example the Rachni if you saved the queen and not just cut straight to cutscenes though i do like cutscenes it would be nice to fly the ship ourselves once and a while though.
5. Best of all being able to purchase our own ship of choice and have specific and numerus upgrade possiblities tied to our particular choice of ship! Aswell as crew hiring possibilties (eg choose particular faces to join crew)
6. Alot more exploration and side mission options and i don't mean dull and repetative copies of the same barren planets like in ME1 but more individual planets like ME2 but not with a set path you should be free to explore as you see fit
7. More advanced fighting combos and styles eg human judo or other alien fighting styles etc!
That is just a few things i would love to see there is many more but i think i will stick to this for now!

I suprised to see this Tali unmasked stuff keep coming up play ME2 again and look very carefully at the mask while she is on the ship you can see her face as plain as day! She has really white eyes a skinny face, moderately attractive and average length brown hair look carefully and do you math you will see it!

Squad chars moving into diferent places of the ship and not always in the same place.
No more exploration for resources: Resources should be bought in diferent markets. Linked with this, excitant minigames (lack of all them in ME 1 and 2), like ship races or vehicle races to obtain enough money for resources.
More planets with social quests not linked with the first story line, like the stories of Thane and Samara.
More... no more, MUCH more dialogues with squad members in other places that not only the ship... in cities... and some kind of improvement of the current and nice dialogue system.

1. Items: Inventory, ugradable weapons (visually distinct upgrades), access to teammates' armor.
2. The character movement from Dragon Age would be nice. Somehow it felt way smoother when moving.
3. Party should have more to say in dialogues. Dragan Age, again, is a good example.
4. Levels should be more open, less linear and bigger.
5. Shephard has to die for full closure of the trilogy!

The best game I've ever played for exploring was Morrowind: alot of it wasn't hidden, but there wasn't any icons to show where it was until you were right on top of it, whether a cave, tomb, very small village, etc. Much of the time it would be something fairly common (from that games' perspective), but sometimes you'd come across something awesome! I'd like to see that, where the scans bring up more anomylies, but some would just be a small settlement with a side story attached or some trading, and some would be an awesome secret base with some great stuff in it!
Also - put several hidden items / unique weapon upgrades in a few of the more obscure spots, or even have a side quest where some of the best equipment items are the reward at the end of it (only some). Do that to the exploring of planets, and your on to something.
It's like fishing - it's not the 2 hrs sitting in a boat that's exciting, but when it leads to the thrill of a big catch, it's worth the trouble.

Here's my wish list for Mass Effect 3:
-Add in uncharted worlds again but do it differently, add some really cool things to discover. I miss finding Prothean Pyramids and old capsules with mummified aliens and artifacts. Actually make the artifacts valuable or have something to do with the story..
-PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ADD MORE WEAPONS.. Before ME2 was released everyone thought that there were 19 different weapon "types" with a ton of weapons in each category, well it turns out it's just 19 different weapons.. What kind of RPG has 19 weapons..?
-Upgrading weapons and armor seemed too linear for my taste, as the story progressed more items became upgradeable and this bothered me, everything should be available right in the beginning but the more advanced "mods" would obviously cost a ton more.. Mods in ME2 didn't really change the gameplay at all, it was still challenging to take out a Krogan on Insanity even if I had a weapon fully upgraded, the point of upgrading is to make your character feel as though he/she is a GOD..
-Bring back the inventory system, not the same one as ME1 obviously but something where we can manage our items so we can sell things to get money once we've done all the missions.. You could have 500,000 creds and still be a poor ass since most things cost 50,000-90,000... There are so many RPG's out there with fantastic Inventory systems, just borrow some ideas from those games..
-I don't think playing as a paragon character should make you come off as a ****.. Same goes for playing renegade, why does being a renegade mean killing innocent civilians and talking **** to everyone.. This definitely needs some work because it really bothered me during Zaeed's loyalty mission, I wanted to gain his trust but I wasn't willing to let a bunch of helpless people die..
-Less Linear main story based missions.. I found it was just a bunch of corridors and long paths to get from one objective to another.. ME3 should have these types of missions but not every mission..
-Make the game BIGGER.. MORE planets to visit, maybe find some new tech buried deep in an unknown planet that can send you off into deep space where the reapers are or maybe to another galaxy.. I don't care if the game has to be on 4 discs (haha M$, Sony beat you there with there Blue-ray).. More main hub's like the Citadel, OMEGA and Illium.. There's what, 200 billion stars in our galaxy and your telling me that in the Mass Effect fiction you can only visit like 20 systems.. I think it's time we discover some sort of map that charts all the ME relays and we can visit something like 100+ systems at least..
-Better flirting dialog for Shepard, seriously his lines were so lame in ME1 and ME2.. Every time he flirted with someone, it just felt like a face palm moment..
-Get some better script writers please, so much of the dialog in ME1 and ME2 sounds cliche and I found it needed a lot of work..
-Why are the females in these games ugly? Why do their breasts sag like an old woman's?
-Add some physics to the hair, Miranda's hair was pissing me off so much, just stayed the same the entire game and never moved..
-Make a more in depth character creation system, every nose, Mouth, and set of eyes looked absolutely ridiculous, male and female hair look really stupid, male facial hair looks stupid.. I'm sure you can do something different with the hair for when our character is wearing a helmet, clipping issues shouldn't even be issues anymore, just get some tips from EA's FNR4 team.. That's obviously the reason why the hair is so dumb in the ME universe..
-More casual clothes, more armor, more armor mods.. JUST MORE OF EVERYTHING!!!
-Better Sex Scenes, I know this isn't a thread about the romance's in the game but seriously, they cut out the crucial parts of the love scenes, the actual love making itself.. ME1 had it dead on, you see skin but like 14-A style.. I don't wanna see porn but i'd like the scenes to be more than fully clothed tossing around and grinding..
-Umm, WHERE WAS TALI'S FACE? I'm assuming we will see it in ME3!! I'd actually like to see what the Volus look like too, even if it means watching his body rip open like the turkey in Christmas Vacation..
-Missions shouldn't always be about Killing a group of enemies, finding someone to talk to, then killing more enemies.. More variety, how about some assassination missions, or some espionage missions.. Hell, if you have to throw in some more "Samesh Bahtia" style missions to add more variety, than by all means go right ahead..
-Ability to visit Council governed space and the terminus systems..
-More races, the vorcha were hardly a valuable addition, they added nothing to the story except for some pretty funny conversations were they sound absolutely retarded, they talk like cavemen..
-Turian, Salarian, Krogan, Volus, Elcor... We've seen em all, well not the FEMALES or the children.. Not that I wanna kill kids in the game or anything but it would really add to the immersion..
Thats all I can think of for now... This would be the ideal game for me if all these issues were addressed..

1. Tali's face
2. More party banters
3. Better dialog options
4. Another suicide mission or one like it
5. More rpg eliments like loot but not like in me1
*6* pleas don't side line squad members because they are dipencibal in the suicide mission
7. If all squad mates can die in me3 don't give some of them special tratmant like miranda had. I couldnt chose her to do tasks that potentialy put her at risk for deing witch sucked.
8. A better romance conclusion. It felt very cut off in me2
9. Better quests. I only did them for xp pionts
10. More skills. Especialy for squad mates.

- Mix between the equipment collecting of ME1 and the nice n' simple system of ME2: keep the basic weapon types & ammo clips, but have the hunting around the levels lead to cool upgrades for the weapons. Some will be plain-jane with no real value other than selling, others will either look awesome / cool color schemes & / or have some kick butt weapon enhancements. It gives the digging around meaning with an occasional exciting find, and the collector gameplayers are happy, without the ton of junk that isn't needed. I'd still be tempted to keep the scanning of planets, the materials found can be the whats required to properly equip certain upgrades & to find the anomylies (spelling).
Also, I want to wear the cool dragon armour, but I agree that the remove helmet function needs to return. I won't wear it later in the game, I want the choice of seeing my custom face during the conversations.
Lastly - if Shepards team is a team, why don't they occasionally hang out? They're always in separate spots. I like to ask EVI where someone is on the Normandy, only to maybe find them in the mess hall talking with another team member over coffee of dinner. It's a minor thing, but it would give a better sense of comradery (spelling) and the team would also act like other crew members.

There were only a few occasions when you had limited time for some things (as getting out from Legion's loyalty mission), and I think that is great - a time limit adds suspense, especally at the beginning of the suicide mission. But, when you got a timer (which covered half the screen) it was set to way too much. Three minutes to get out from Legion's mission? Hell, I could fight it to the door, take a leak and still have time left to exit. Good idea, but I had way too much time om my hands. The last blasting of the lab on Virmire was much better regarding this.
I think it is a pity you can't really go for friends with the people who are potential love interests but that you aren't interested in - I might not want to court Jack, but that doesn't mean I don't want to chat with her - which becomes impossible if I turn down the love plot.
Speaking of love interests, I'm not really comfortable with that it is too easy. Chat someone up enough and you get some. I haven't played DAO, but I understand that is about building up an interest; and in Baldurs Gate 2, you had to very carefully pick your words to not spoil anything.
As someone said, I would also like to see some kind of more living Normandy - at some point there must be morning, with people lining up outside the bathrooms; waiting for a chance for shower and a shave; at some point, there should be more people at the mess hall. I know that a ship (real or unreal) would never go without at least a skeleton crew at key posts at any time, but there will always be times when there is a big influx of people to different stations. The same way, I loved to hear people chatting about stuff I had no personal connection to, but at some point they all went dead quiet...
The user interface was much better in ME1, and I would love to see it return - I want to be able to crouch without being near a cover; I want to be able to fight in close combat by just using the LMB and not a separate button and so on. And I would really, really like a first person POV, since it can get very difficult to see what is behind Shepard or others behind behind him, but in front of me.
The inventory in ME2 is great however - very well worth keeping. I couldn't stand all the types of weapons and upgrades I had to deal with in ME1.
I'm a little divided about a Mako or other vehicle. On one hand, it makes exploration more fun, but then there should be something to explore as well.
The worlds needs to be bigger, not just the Citadel, but everything. ME2 felt cramped, and also way too linear. I could very well imagine something as the road to the turrets on Virmire, but give me an option to select several paths: a short but very dangerous one, or a long but not that well guarded. As it has been, it is just a question about going in a straight line. The only exception I can think of would be Ilos from ME1 - I spent quite some time running around there... More of that.
No more paintball arenas, please. It was so annoying seeing all these crates lined up in rows everywhere. It felt so very arranged that the feeling disappeared. Cover should be arranged more natural - piles of debris, pillars, pipe works and so on - and spaced out more as well. Thankfully, a gun doesn't have tabletop range, but can actually hit something hundred meters away - I rather see that more.
Where did the hand grenades go? The ones in ME1 sucked, but were at least a first step and the replacements you get as achievements aren't good enough since they explode as soon as they hit something. A grenade that can bounce and has a timer would be wonderful.

1. I would love to see missions that could change drasticaly from previous decisions or missions that would be only playable if you made certain decisions this in my opionion would add tons of replayability all though it would take forever to incorperate into the game.
2.A little more weapons please- Mass effect 1 had way to many weapons I had to spend alot of time omnigellen several times throught the game however I realy liked the way the weapon system in Mass effect 2 worked. All the weapons were very unique the problem is in my opionion is that there is only like two in each class to choose from.
3.I would like the Moral system to have a greater effect on the gameplay- Such as Paragons have stun guns and more shield powers while Renegades have illegal weapons with more deadly powers like incinerate.
4. Random events- just something to add a little more replayability such as pirate attacks on the normady, a unidentified ship picked up on the scaners, distress call picked up from the planet below, ect.
5.Missionize the mineral system or add a company system- I have to say I enjoyed the research aspect of Mass Effect 2 alot how ever not the mining system. I suggest just adding minerals as bonus rewards for doing optional objectives in missions or using credits to "buy" galactic stocks in mining companies that will in turn supply you with minerals.
6. Add a genetic modification system or implant system- I would see this fitting perfectly as new skills.
7. More in depth romances- in my opionion the romances in ME2 and ME1 were realy short you basically have 3 or so conversations with the character then they spend the night with you when they think they are going to die a little too captian kirkish to me. I also think in ME3 the romances should add alot more to the story.

New weapons/ abilities:
- Brainstorm - Biotic mind control - Adapts can temporarily assume control over the mind and abilities of an organic enemy target. The player's control switches from Sheppard to the target. While the player is controlling the target, no commands can be issued to squad mates.
- Voltaic Punch – Taser melee attack - Engineers can power their fists with a high voltage charge that can stuns and damage targets. The charge requires a 5 second build up to maximum potential (like a camera flash). The maximum charge lasts for about 3 seconds. After which, the charge will quickly dissipate.
- Dual Pistols – Swap the high caliber pistol for two smaller guns that can be fired simultaneously at two seperate targets.
Instead of providing a zoom function, the secondary weapon feature lets the player lock a target on an enemy. Once a target is locked, the player can shoot at new tagets with one pistol while the other only shoots at the locked target. To unlock, a player simply has to press the secondary weapon button again or kill the locked target.
- Acid Cloud – Soldiers can hurl a canister which creates a smoke cloud of toxic gas. The gas temporarily slows down, gradually damages and lowers the aim of any enemies who come in contact with it. Acid clouds would be best deployed at key choke points enemies must pass through or defend.
New Normandy upgrades:
[*]Facial Reconstruction Facility - Sheppard can change his/her face without having to start a new game. (I really wish I could’ve done this with both games. Restarted so many games simply because I didn't design my character's appearance to my ideal. Just to be able to tweak a nose or change hair styles would have saved me time and frustration)

I think this same idea should be implemented in reverse on ME3 - get everyone together for the massive trilogy challenge, but employ various scenarios that dictates who doesn't die - perhaps even from specific ME1 & 2 decisions (if feasible).
There should be some sacrificies for the cause, and the largest conflict of the building storyline would be a logical place to try and save your favorite characters while still completing the primary objectives...
