1:  A face editor with some sophistication/finesse, please!  Nose options in particular are terrible in both ME1 and ME2.  Should have some way of adjusting specific features, e.g overall nose size, nostril width, bridge width, sellion depth, etc. Same applies to other facial features.

2:  More optional side missions, more star clusters/systems to explore, or preferably, an SDK that allows you to create your own content.  It would be nice to have the option to land on/explore the following worlds as well:  Thessia, Palaven, Salarian homeworld, Quarian homeworld, and heck, why not Earth?  Seemed pointless to have the Local Cluster without the option of landing on/mining at least ONE of the worlds.

3:  More weapon customization/upgrade options ( e.g. improved sniper rifle barrels, targeting, scopes for assault rifles, recoil attenuators, etc. )

4:  Please, please, improve Shepard's base movement speed, he moves like molasses!  Runs out of stamina too soon with storm/sprint feature as well.

5:  Would be great to have a mission(s) involving the Rachni ( preferably as allies ) depending on, of course, your choices in ME1.  Perhaps a recruitment mission?

6:  Unmask Tali.  Really would like to see what the Quarians look like in general.

Bring in the Ascension story into the game.

I'd like Gillian and/or Hendel in my squad.

Just thought of another thing. Please for the love of God/Buddha/Shiva/Allah/whatever have the skip dialogue button (on the PC default mapped to the space bar) not be the same the choose next option dialogue button (also defaulted to the space bar on the PC). Playing through multiple times, I read a lot faster than the characters talk so I like to skip on subsequent play throughs. I still want to be able to choose what I am going to say though.

hmm, toys.. yes, i would love to see the Mako return.. Maybe it was clunky for you guys, but nothing says hello quite like an 88 mm canon.. What i really want though, is non tangible.. Having beaten the game twice so far since i bought it a week or so ago ( hey. i'm retired, i got lots of time :) ) and intending to go back and beat it a few more times, i'm still left with questions.. I would like more dialog between players. None of this give me this, that rox or sux, or anything like that, but rather speculative dialog.. In one scenario, you deal with cerberus and the reapers from one point of view, in another scenario you deal with cerberus and the reapers from another point of view, and i'm not so sure as i'd be so quick as to count the collectors as being out of the picture.. If i were them, i'd be pissed.. So yeah,, speculative dialog is what i'd most like to see..

Nothing critical, these purely because I think they would be awesome.

An upgradeable space station and some kind of epic battle with the reapers, a bit like the castle in NWN2.

The ability to take more than two people with you. Even if it's just one or two more. Then add party banter in exploration and combat.

The return of loot! Need a way to get more money faster. Loved the side missions, but even a few exploratory missions like the old mako planets without real missions would be nice. Some of us still have parts of our brain that love collecting stuff and grinding. I know, it doesn't make sense to me either.

Did I mention a space station?

Add more people just walking around doing stuff, the universe looks alive, now make it breathe.

Finally, from the space station, some kind of fleet management. . Not quite 4x, but some dialogue options directing certain fleets to areas. You could sacrifice some lives to save many, or hold every point to the last being, nothing that will ultimately change the game, but something that helps script you're own personal race to the finish.

Whatever comes though, I'm sure it's going to be awesome.

P.S I would really like my own space station.

1. Don't leave out transitions, make them smoother: stuff like the Elevator or the process of boarding Normandy (instead of having it suddenly be off the planet after a mission)

2. More guns and armor selection: even if the differences are superficial, it's still nice to have options. Oh, and I want an MG-42/MG-3/smartgun-ish machinegun...coz' they look cool. :D

3. Option to change ship: The Normandy's nice and all, but I personally want a bigger ship (Cruiser? Dreadnought? :D )

4. Space Battles: while the cinematic sequences were nice, some involvement (i.e., control of ship/fleet) would be nice. Heck, a full-blown fleet simulator would be super (but that's me...). I'd like more flexibility/control over the strategic and tactical decisions involving my character.

5. More tanks: I missed the Mako. Still waiting for the Hammerhead. Something like tank combat in ME3 would be nice, I think.

bring back the powerful, kinetic feel of the AR, in particular - it feels like a pew-pew gun in mass effect 2, not a mass accelerated railgun. the snipers are nice, though.

1. Captaining a CR or a DN...and yes, SPEHS BATTLES. Don't even have to be player-controled, can be cutscenes for all I care. Just let us see more of glorious capships.

2. More active party memebers - they approach you, do stuff. And a more complex way to gain their trust. It's just too simple this way. Do one mission and BAM - instant loyality.

3. Some Mako-type planetary exploration. the MAKO drive wasn't hte problem tiself - the repetitivness and blandness was. As another poster said - better 10 rich locations than 50 repetitive, bland ones.

4. Weapon and armor variaty/customization - for everyone. I don't mean linear progression where gun 1 is better in evertyhing that gun 2. I mean actually having to think during armor/weapon selection. "Hmm..do  I want faster shield re-charge or tougher armor for this mission?"

5. A bit more logic behind the Paragon/renegade thing. Actually, scrap it all together. I get the vibe that paragon is suppsoed to be a more mercifull, less violent approach, with Renagade being a quick and dirty approach, but it doesn't allways fell right.
Example - when talking to that Korgan that gives the whole speech about eating salarians, swarming hte galaxy adn butchering everyone - why is shooting the gas pipe below him a renegade action? You allready tried to talk him down, the peacefull option is no loger an option. You allready know it's going to end in blood.  It also goes the other way around.
What it essentially boils down to is agresssive/defensive..and it doesn't really aways click. Leave the quick-time events, but leave any poitns scoring out of it.

i think even when they complete the trilogy they can do a lot with the ME universe.

I hope they do. What im thinkin is maybe in the end of ME3, Shepard has a kid with which ever love interest u chose. And from there starting a whole new story as Sheps son/daughter. Id definitely like to talk to my imported Shepard (assuming u've played the previous games and of couse assuming he survives the final mission) as his son/daughter. That would be a great way to make new games in the ME universe. And it also would be freakin sweet!

Now what i would like to see in ME3 is everything in ME2, only with more exploration, guns, and armor. Wasnt too happy when i found out there was only 4 assault rifles in the game. I mean u dont have to go all out on it, just add just a tad bit more content, like more weapons that do certain things, like an assault rifle that has a really high damage but shoots in single shot (idk somethin like that). And maybe more armor upgrades, and definitely more weapon upgrades, instead of just accuracy and damage upgrades, maybe different scopes for sniper rifles and maybe even a scope for an assault rifle.  And more hub stations, and actual missions to do on those hub stations. And last but not least, Tali unmasked..come on, i was on the freakin edge of my seat waitin for my Shep to take off her mask, then it just cuts out after..i was disappointed. Although not disappointed in the game, keep up the good work bioware.

AFAIK, inter-species reproduction doesn't really work that well.

If you romanceda  human, yes.
If you romanced someone else...not really seeing it.

You forgot the the good commander received some ' upgrades' when Cerberus put a bit extra in.

multiracial genitalia.

Can reproduce with a damn krogan if need be.

It was highly expensive and time consuming, but nothing quite like being able to breed with a varren...

Wait. Wasn't there some scale itch issue?

The ONLY thing you need to change for me is the way resources are accrued.

The one click system to mine resources on a planet in ME1 and using the Mako to explore Planets is infinitely better than scanning planets system in ME2.

ME1 is my favourite game of all time (Been playing all systems for 20+years) - ME2 is great but spoiled by having to scan planets - it was big mistake and I hope it's taken out for ME3.

Permanent health and shield status of squad on the HUD.

Permanent mini-map toggle. Assign a key that will show it without the need to hold that key. Pressing it again removes the mini-map. Prevents RSI and a lot of irritation.

Things that would make ME3 better than it will already be.

1) People in the game should actually know who Command Shephard is and how he is a hero of the galaxy. In ME2 it felt like no one actually knew who you were.

2) Allow us to choose about 2-3 of our previous squad members. that way we can have aload of new ones and some of the old ones that we want to have again. It will also make it much more replayable as we can pick different ones each playthrough.

3) Bigger open maps! ME2's maps were good but just too cramped and not as large as ME1's

4) A big improvement would be a sound effect that happens everytime you level up! Just like it ME1. in ME2 i never know if i've leveled until i start a new mission.

Since everyone else is pretty much saying the same thing, we I agree I would like to see I am going to suggest two technical things I liked to be worked on.

1. PC users should get a custom UI like we did in Mass Effect 1. Mass Effect 1 had such a great interface I liked it. That was the very reason I bought the game twice...well maybe im a little bias I prefer PC > 360.

2. Dialogue sound. I hate that no matter what option I have the sound settings on I can't seem to get a good balance between sound effects, music and dialogue. The NPC's all sound really really really low compared to Shepard.

3.Some AA...Unreal Enginer lets you use AA in DirectX 10 so..yea >.>

4. Since Bioware worked so hard on eyes how abou they put some time into hair?

5. Giving up some HighRes textures. Dear go talking to an Elcor is annoying just because of their damn faces. Talking to an npc and seeing their clothes and armor and I notice how bad the texture looks is jus irritating

Do NOT want to see/have hanar or volus as squad mates. Totally unrealistic (yeah, it's a game but still the idea is immersion and those characters are NOT viable teammates).

How is a hanar with no face, no gestures, no nothing going to wield weapons, move around quickly, wear armor, etc?

A volus?! Hah. A short, fat, slow, waddling character incapable of running, incapable of quickly diving for cover, carrying weapons that are equal in size to their bodies, etc? C'mon. Plus, consistency with the in game mythology: volus suits are very high pressure to match their homeworld's high atmospheric pressure. The slightest puncture or leak would have to be deadly (immediate bends, boiling blood, etc). They are simply not suitable warriers for a fighting squad.

I think the members we have between ME1 and ME2 are fine, though a few more similar would be OK if players lost any in ME2 (large structured, humanoid, physically capable peeps - to keep the immersion and "realism" as good as it can be given that it is a cartoon). Everyone is NOT equal and thus it should not be a equal opportunity team. You don't see dwarfish, fat soldiers in anyone's army and any security force capable of actually doing its job doesn't employ such either. Why pollute the realism in the game, such as it is, with REALLY far out and unrealistic additions? It simply doesn't add to the story or the play.

An absolute MUST for me is to give players REAL CHOICES on how they want to play their characters. Bioware needs to SERIOUSLY re-think this aspect of gameplay; it is afterall an RPG.

Ive spent the whole of ME2 feeling utterly railroaded into corners, and disconected from my Shepherd character becasue I just was not able to play her how I wanted. Give players CHOICES and REAL OPTIONS on how to play their characters, with REAL ALTERNATIVES.

This really has to be my number one wish.

Not really. According to the ME mythology, Asari only produce Asari children REGARDLESS with what alien they use to cut/paste new DNA. There can be no real Shepard kiddies with anything but a human...unless in this universe inter-species barriers are magically null and void.

- Remove the loading screens and replace/hide them with animated cutscenes. ME1 style as opposed the ME2's "loading next level" feel.

- Get rid of that End of Mission status page. Make the story and mission progression seamless like watching a movie rather than watching level progression like every other shooter or arcade game.

- Include party banter like in DA:O. Squad mates are lifeless in ME2.

- Get rid of resource gathering that's done in ME2....it's boring and a chore. Get rid of resource gathering altogether even, or at the very least do something better.

- Put squad customisation back in from ME1

- Add helmet toggle for ME3 DLC this time. ME2 DLC armour was useless

- Make DLC armour customizable also

- Add exploration back in, was completely taken out in ME2 and instead replaced by that crappy probing thing.

- Make choices from previous ME games have a more substantial impact in ME3. Choices in ME1 had little to no major impact on ME2.

- Improve UI for the PC, I don't know why it was changed for ME2, when ME1 UI was fine.  For example, that radar in ME2 was useless, it should be on the HUD in constant view all the time, not when you pull up the squad command interface.

- Some vehicle combat would be nice.

- As others have said, party dialog between party members, like in Dragon Age. That really made the game more immerse, and some of the funniest dialog was between party members.

- Keep the interrupts

- I'm holding off on judgement for vehicle sections until I see how well the Hammerhead performs. If it does well, keep it for ME3.

- In addition to customization of your armor, how about customization of the Normandy? Nothing major, but I wouldn't mind changing out some of the decals on the ship from Cerberus to something else.

- If possible, ship the game with a level editor of some kind for the modding community.

I've already put in my wishes, but I wanted to say something to the space battle thing. I semi-agree that it might be cool, but only in one or two specific missions where it makes sense that you have to fight ship to ship and with you being able to make choices for fleet set up/roles/attack plans (like you chose who did what in the suicide mission) and then having it play out, after all it's not a space flight/fight simulator. I think it would kind of ruin the flow of the game to suddenly be playing top gun or something.
