Upgradeable weapons/armor (The NEW fasioned way)

I don't really like the new weapon upgrades as much as the first ME. I think that for ME3 something completely different would be great for everybody who enjoys this game.

I think it would be pretty awesome if the weapon upgrades worked like the armor pieces. Instead of just researching "More ammo" or "Increased Damage" you researched specific components that you could swap between like the armor has different shoulder and leg components. Is that what you were getting at? Aswell as the ability to decide your weapon's colour scheme. And at least double the number of current components. I love options. :)

1) Better exploration for N7 missions
First off I would like to say that ME:2 had amazing planets - each planet was unique and offered a completely new experience than the previous mission. However, the majority of the missions felt linear and cramped; leaving little room for adventuring.  Thats not to say ME:1 had it right. The Mako segments were an absolute chore after the second explorable planet. Although boring, ME:1's system of exploration instilled a sense of wonder by having such open planets - it made you realize how big the universe was.

I guess my suggestion is a combination of both systems of exploration. Each planet should be completely unique and feel large enough that the mission doesn't feel to linear.

2) Better inventory system
Although the addition of custom armor was a huge step forward; the lack of armor pieces and weapons was a drawback of the new system.

3) Needs a villain
In Mass Effect the player was motivated to stop Saren, a rogue Specter who allied himself with the Geth, and eventually the player discovers, the Reapers. Mass Effect 2 didn't really have a "face" villain making the enemy appear a bit plain and insignificant.

slight spoilers for those who haven't played the mission "Horizon"  -

*****Yes, Harbringer can be called the villain of the game, but the player never meets (it?) so the connection between the hero and the enemy is never really established.*****

4) Don't sideline the characters of the suicide mission
I will reiterate, bold, and cap to ensure my point will get across - DON'T SIDELINE THE CAST OF MASS EFFECT 2.

The entire point of the squeal was to recruit a team of specialists to accomplish an almost impossible mission. Since Shepard spends the whole game recruiting them, it would make sense if Shepard had to do very little "individual recruiting" since he already has the best of the best, and instead focuses on building an army to stop the Reapers.

However, since potentially every teammate can die on the mission, this is a very delicate situation. I would be insulted, and quite frankly, turned off if the entire cast of ME:2 is thrown away in the third installment simply because of the nature of the suicide mission. What would be the point of Mass Effect 2 if the characters we spent our time recruiting and getting to know end up getting replaced by a cast of unknowns?

5 ) Bring party banter back
In Mass Effect the elevator rides were enjoyable because of the conversations between squadmates. In Mass Effect 2 however, your teammates barely even acknowledged each other. It really irritated me that Liara and Wrex recognized Shepard but ignored Tali and Garrus.

Edit - DAO did an excellent job with party banter, and is something that the Mass Effect team should take notes from when designing ME:3.

Customizeable squad armor on level with yours in ME2

More conversations with squad members

Liara as a squadmember

Those three things would guarantee me buying this game.

i cant remeber if i posted here already...but w/e, new list:

1. We need more weapons, more armor, actual mods
for them, omni tool/bio-amp like items, in short inventory. I don’t want clunky
and useless, and I don’t want 2-3 ‘options’. I want a variety of equipment
where I have to think about more than upgrade/don’t;  armor option1/2/3; starter weapon/better
weapon when choosing between them, but I don’t want barely different weapon
1-20, level 1-10, barely different mod 1-5, Level 1-10. You made KOTOR; you
should know, the force demands balance in all things.:wizard::P:lol:

2. Helmet. Toggle. Magical helmets invisible to
people who recognize me and that ignore the laws of physics concerning alcohol
passing thru solid matter on its way to my mouth do not cut it.

3.      Do not replace our squad again. I really lose
all reason to care about characters when they don’t ever carry over in any significant
capacity; we need our old squad, we have more than enough relationships to
develop without tacking on new ones.

4.      Squad interactions. KOTOR like events on the ship,
DAO like conversations when traveling… I cant stand how after I got legion tali
didn’t even acknowledge it until I did both their loyalty missions.

5.      A fair leveling system that doesn’t demand mathematical
precision to not end up with un-spendable points; really, what was so hard
about splitting up the current system into 10 points to avoid this?

6.      Smart dialogue. Right now, shepard is a complete
and utter logic-deviod fool when talking; nothing he says is ever on the basis
of adult-level reasoning. You destroy the collector base not on the premise that
you know studying reaper tech will backfire, and it’s far too dangerous, but
because you don’t wanna "compromise who
you are"?!Some conversation choices are too silly for me to swallow; like
every option on mordin’s loyalty mission.

7.      Para/renegade begone. I am quite tired of the game
forcing its often skewed moral compass upon me; let us make our own morality,
like everyone ever in the history of sentience has done; and suffer the
consequences for it directly, not in the form of naughty/nice points, pretty/terminator
face, or with no motivation to play with anything other than pure
para/renegade.

8.      More and more varied sidequests. I loved them, and
don’t go thinking you need to force combat to make it interesting, the crashed
ship was one of my favorites; just wanna see more and more like it.

9.      Fuel begone. Nothing about this was fun,
challenging, or positive. It was an unnecessary limitation that added nothing
but frustration to the game.

10.  Resource gathering….where to begin? In ME1 it wasn’t
actually necessary, but you’ve gone and made it more tedious and more
important. Not that I  think resource gathering should be gone, just made…not
horrible. I don’t know what to do specifically…the current system can work;
make it about 5x as fast, make the resources more obvious…

11.  Shops! This goes with a desire for meaningful
and varied equipment options; we need to have to make a choice of what to buy,
other than the order of it.

12.  I will reiterate it yet again. More variety of
weapons, armor, more customization. A huge part of role-playing is making
choices, but in ME2 a whole lotta choice is made for me or strangely not
present…again, I don’t ME1, I want a decent variety with strategic value; I want
to think about what to choose, I want to see the difference of what I choose,
but more importantly, I want to choose.

13.  A compromise of ammo? Personally I felt the newsystem was 1) too conventional, especially when you had a unique system to begin with; improving combat doesn’t have to mean using tired and unnecessary
shooter mechanics 2) too imbalanced; I can clear a room with my AR and refill
its ammo to full with one clip, I try the same with a sniper and ill be lucky
if any clips are left to pick up. I think a part of added customization of
weapons can include modifying the type of heatsink; you could have a series of
mods that are marked as ‘disposable’, the ammo system; ‘reusable’, a compromise
of limiting ammo with a ‘regenerating’ thermal clip that is switched out after
ammo is depleted and cooled slowly as you go thru a secondary one (ill elaborate
if anyone asks); and ‘integrated’, ME1s cooldown system. Obviously the bonuses
afforded by these mods would differ greatly to balance the systems, and we
would have to deal with the lore breaking *gasp* that comes with all picked up
ammo giving you the bonuses of the specific mod you have, should you use them.

14.  Smarter AI; they seem to have no sense of
self-preservation and will gladly stand there and get shot by rockets and heavy
machine gun fire; maybe let us finally control them directly, they are still
mostly useless except for powers, especially on higher difficulties; letting us
ASSUME DIRECT CONTROL is easier for us and you.

15.  Modular weapons like armor maybe? Would greatly
add to customization, though really I just want more choice to begin with. Some
colour/pattern choices with weapons would be awesome though.

16.  Squadmate armor. I didn’t really care with
garrus or grunt; but high heels, straps and cleavage had me scratching my head at
every combat situation. They need real armor; that doesn’t mean they cant have
personal aesthetic, but facing the greatest enemy of all life isn’t a fashion
show; would love to have at least a few options in customizing them; maybe a
few modular options and some colour/pattern choices. (and sealed suits where
applicable, why shepard, tali and garrus are the only ones ever properly
equipped is beyond me.)

I have another thread detailing these but I'll put them down here as well.

-Your own Colony, or more options to establish colonies
In both games you were able to help improve certain colonies, more so in Mass
Effect 1 then 2, but I think that if you could establish a colony or even a
base of operation yourself it would add another level of immersion, from
special people you could recruit to maybe even structures you could upgrade. In
the first game you had the mineral quest, in the second you probed for minerals
to upgrade, why not take it a step further with specific planets you find
through exploration that you can establish colonies on. Collecting the minerals in ME 1 was supposed to ensure human expansion in the galaxy, and we didn't even really see how.

-More Armor Options
In Mass Effect 2 there were the armor pieces that buff the main character, and
the default and loyal costumes for companions. That’s a good start, but why not
merge the two concepts for the companions and have a few costumes you can
unlock that buff one skill or another for them, even if it just grants extra
health.

-Video/Audio Emails
It was a nice touch including emails telling you how most of
the people from the first games quests were doing, but I think it could have
been taken to another level with full video, or even at least audio messages.

-No More Infinite Spawns
It could have just been me, but I would find myself fighting
wave after wave of respawning enemies until I reached a certain point in some
levels, especially in the Thane/Tower level. On Insanity I found it incredibly
difficult given a few of the narrow corridors with no cover to take as you
approach.

-Either/or Quests
While this one might not be as popular given the fact it limits quest options,
they’ve already introduced choices where you have to save one character or the
other, but what I mean by this is the third game would be perfect for missions
where you have to choose between one mission or the other, do you want to fight
them on this front, or that front, save this colony or that colony, and which
do you sacrifice. Something along those lines might give depth to the choices
you make and their consequences.

-More Exploration Options
In ME 1 you could scan asteroids for the collectible items. I think it could have easily been built upon. Instead of a simple scan and then accept, they could bring up a small video display while you are on the bridge showing a cutscene of a team you sent to investigate the asteroid and what occurs, and if all goes well you get the item if not maybe you have to go in and rescue them from husks, pirates, etc. Things like that.

Improved small unit tactics, the ability to issue more detailed squad orders and set behaviours a la DA:O, and generally more co-ordinated fire and movement between squad members. The ability to issue move orders to places other than those I can actually see would make enfilade (flanking) fire much easier to achieve. Better suppression fire mechanics (enemies keeping their heads down when under fire, etc). As it stands, I find that I rarely use my squadmates for their gunfire and use them mainly to store powers that my character doesn't have.

More use out of squad members. If you can only include two in your party, it would be nice to see ways of including the others. I suggest allowing, for example, one of them to act as a sniper from a high vantage point: this would be used like a 'power' and allow you to deliver a sniper rifle round to a selected enemy. I liked the use of 'specialists' in the suicide mission as a way of including additional team members, and I would like to see that extended to other missions.

On a related note, I would like to see squad member recruitment tied to a specific role. Recruiting a pilot could allow you to call in one of the gunships you occasionally fight in ME2 for a strafing run, for example. Having another team leader could allow you to form a second team with a secondary objective, say cutting power to the enemy base to silence their defence turrets for your own party's attack. Having an infiltrator might allow you to sabotage an enemy structure or create a diversionary explosion in another area to draw off enemy forces.

I also feel that more 'sandbox' style missions (rather than a linear sequence of hallways and stairs, for example) would add replayability and depth, but this is just personal preference.

I only have a couple of issues that I care about, because for everything else I trust Bioware.

1. Same sex romance option.
2. Expanded character creator.

Though I realize that #2 is pointless now since it's the third installment of the game and everyone already has their Shepard by now.

As far as I'm concerned the inventory system is fine we just need more inventory to manage. What's the point of a Weapons locker on the normandy when all your stuff can fit in your carry on bag. I was expecting more out of the "CLIPS" ammo system too. It's a fabulous innovation I just wish some guns held more ammo in the clip. I'd love to have more Armor pieces as well Customization of my attire is one of my all time favorites things in RPG's like this. There were so many different types of Armor in Mass Effect and so many different types of weapons I feel like you really let us down in that department. Unless Bioware thinks we'll shell out more Cash for Weapons and Armor DLC later on. I really hope that's not the case.

Mass effect is hands down the very best game I've ever played. I enjoyed the trilogy so far and look forward to the next more than ever. I'm creating this topic as a goal for the community to reach out to Bioware to make mass effect 3 the very best it could ever be. ME2 Seemed to suffer a little bit in areas that ME1 thrived in. These are a few things that I personally would love to see in mass effect 3. Although I'm well aware we all would like different things, it'd be great to have a few things back from ME1. Things that really made it shine, and possibly some new elements in the mix as well. I feel as if ME2 has gone too far into the FPS-Action only, and will probably have hardly any RPG aspect in ME3. If we don't correct it soon, it'll be too late. With that said, here's some things that I would love to see in ME3 to really give us that RPG feel.

Give us levels that make us feel like we've accomplished something! (VERY IMPORTANT!)

What's the point in leveling up a character when you don't unlock
something for getting there, or have a harder time fighting something as
you level up. Let me give you an example. This game levels you up very
well but you have no challenges. Enemies seem to stay at an incredibly
balanced difficulty throughout the game. It'd be nice to have enemies
outside of your level that are too difficult to kill, or much harder.
Another thing would be level requirements for certain ship upgrades,
guns, ammo, armor, etc. Give us the illusion that the higher the level
we are, the stronger we are! IMHO there was no
sense of this in ME2, and half the upgrades we got we never noticed.

Bring back the Inventory (upgradeable sizing)

Theres always a good feeling knowing what's in your backpack. RPG gamers love looting! It's always exciting to pick up something that may, or may not be better than what you currently own. Another aspect of that great RPG feel could be to upgrade our bag size. Looting objects and selling them at different markets would be great. For instance selling something at OMEGA could be more valuable than at the Citadel.

Upgradeable weapons/armor (The NEW fasioned way)

I don't really like the new weapon upgrades as much as the first ME. I think that for ME3 something completely different would be great for everybody who enjoys this game. Give us content! Perhaps a new sniper rifle barrel, or a different scope/zoom distance. Magazine size/Ammo size. ETC. Something that really can make our weapons UNIQUE! Everyone can have the highest upgrade, but with this method of customization there's many more ways to enjoy killing the reapers!

Where did the vehicle go!? Please. . . Give it back!!

I loved the driving aspect of the game. It really gave you a sense of how large the game was. It mad me feel cramped having to walk around everywhere. I'm not exactly sure why, but for some reason whenever I got into the vehicle the game just felt that much bigger to me. I loved it. It may not have driven the best, but it sure was a great part to the game. I heard of talk about them creating a vehicle, but I've completed the game, and explored every planet with no success of driving one, nor did I see a place where one could be used.

Please, Make the citadel larger.

This one is crucial to me, but I'm not sure how this strikes other gamers. I really enjoyed the citadel in ME1, not soo much in ME2 though. It seemed a lot smaller and the fact that it was just a bunch of levels on top of each other wasn't much for me. I really enjoyed being in the Citadel in ME1 and loved to explore the life in it. The Citadel in ME2 seems lifeless, just a bunch of shops and levels. I guess it's hit or miss on this one with the community, but I though I'd point it out.

While doing missions, make them less linear.

Hard to get lost during a mission, it always felt like a hallway leading with doors to the objective. DON'T get me wrong, I don't feel as if the game is linear, but 80% of the mission are. There's usually only one way to go, one way to complete it, and one way in/out. Open it up! we want to explore!

Keep the Normandy just as exploreable/vehicle

Another big one for me. I think it'd be great to have the normandy land on a planet, walk down to the cargo hold, get into a vehicle, and drive it out onto the unexplored planet. Something tiny, but it's this attention to detail that really makes a game shine!

More Normandy fights!

In ME2 we don't really use the upgrades for anything at all. We spend thousands and thousands on mats upgrading our ship. . . and for what? A quick dodge at the end of the game? I wanted to really see how the upgrades worked, all I seen was it go through some debree. Some dogfighting would be great.

Give us Earth! If ME3 really is the end of the trilogy (better not be!) than at least let us explore our homeplanet. Have the reapers invade it or something. I duno, just bring earth into the picture. I want to see it in the future.

Keep this as the best game I've ever played, just put some more RPG elements into it!

I hope this can be stickied, and we can all come together as a community to make Mass Effect 3 the best game to ever be released. . . . Until ME4-100 of course. :)

I agree on Normandy exploration and fights in the Normandy. I disagree on just about everything else.

. Cover to cover like in GOW 2
2. Mele like in uncharted 2, instead of a simple strike u actaly have to fight mini game.
3. Invetory and upgrade sytem more like ME1. If there could be a happy meduim between ME1 and ME2 as far as the inventory system.
4. Fluid animation,IE GOW, GRAW AO2. My shep feals stiff with his movment during combat.
5.More weapons, alot more.
6. More armor, but keep the customasation. If you could customize armor with all the difrent types you had in ME1, I would have spent 60 hours just on that.
7. I want the entire citadel, Omega ect. When you give us theses large palnets, with beautiful vistas it is dispointing when you realy cant get past the space port.
8. Earth
9.Recource stock market, were you can turn your recources into cash, or trade in more abondent recources for less aboundent one.
10. Weapons and Armor sold at markets.
11. COOP either a Horde mode or what ever I justt want to meet my buddy snad there sheps online . No story just awsome gameplay and waves of all the diffrent enemy types.
12. I want to choose from both ME1 and Me2 crews to comprise my final crew, and a bunch of new charctors.
13. Squad mates need armor. I dont like the fact that team members go into battle in there casual close. That takes me outa the game. I also like the ability to spec there armor for what I need them to do like in ME1.
14. sqaud commands. Sqaud commands were alot better a whole lot. But there is always room for improvmnet. the enginere class should be abailble to deploy a over head drone. This would give you a top down picture of the battle field, and the ability to issue more complicated squad commands.
15. Enemy AI. if all these suggestions are implemnted you will have to beef up the enemies.

I dont care how many discs you need to put it on, I will buy it, I wll pre order it I will buy the bounus adition, but only if you implment these changes lol. if not I will just buy it used

Wishes...

- Remove/replace the resource mining. Or if you really need to keep it in, have some way we can better keep track of remaining resources left in already-explored planets, eg. by having resource meters beneath their name tags

- More squad customisability. Like shep, I feel other squadmates need armour for combat as well. The whole kinetic barriers excuse isn't gonna cut it. characters like Jack should drop in a single hit when shields are down, given the amount of physical protection they're wearing...

- Try to integrate some of the crucial subquests better into the storyline. For instance in ME2 a lot of loyalty missions were pretty off-track. For some characters I guess it can't be helped but for others it could be better worked in, like for example the Collectors attacking a colony that has Miranda's sister or something on it, and if you pick Miranda in the mission it opens up a mission within the mission to find said sister. You can choose not to bring Miranda along and hence not secure loyalty, etc.

- More dynamic characters. Everyone on the Normandy stands still and never goes anywhere.

- Streamline the upgrades system. Currently it's rather troublesome with its menus and submenus. I'd be more in favour of an icon based system similar to RTS where you get purchase icons with the cost below the icon. That makes it easier to review your affordable upgrades at a glance rather than manually checking each one to see what you can or can't afford.

- Having the money/fuel/probes meters always on in the system/cluster mode would always be appreciated. Having to approach a fuel depot just to check is kind of dumb.

- Having some kind of indicator near the reticle to warn of low ammo would be appreciated too. There's already a reticle-based visual cue for power recharging. A similar idea for ammo, like a "<LOW AMMO>" tag would be nice. The "Reload" tag is also too subtle and needs to be more obvious.

An inventory would be nice, maybe not as cumbersome as ME1 but still, items and ammo upgrades man!

Also I would like Bioware to stick with the details of their universe by that I mean Klandagon which had the great rift valley blasted into the side of it. In ME1 you could go to the planets moon, get out the mako and look at it in all it's epic glory. In ME2 you get to scan a planet with the same name but which was featureless, not even a hint of the great rift valley.

Keep it an RPG or just make it an FPS

I'm happy with the inventory system as currently implemented - it's sensible and realistic in the sense you only carry what you bring with you on a mission. That said, I'd like there to be some more variety in terms of the equipment you do carry. Not so much the guns because there's a nice selection range already, but what about things like omnitools and biotic amps? Also I like the idea of making guns a bit more modifiable like armour is depending on what upgrades you pick up.

You don't need an inventory with endless collections of junk, in fact a small number of quality items fulfills the loot requirement better IMO.

I want the choices you made in the previous two games to come alive, not just be alluded to.

ME 2 had newscasts about ME 1 events. To illustrate what I mean by choices "coming alive," I was disappointed to find that the world was almost exactly the same whatever choices you made in ME1, Paragon or Renegade, killing the council or not. I was hoping for there to be some interaction, like a Paragon Shepard who killed the council would find a friendlier environment overall than a Renegade shepard who saved the council, but the political fallout would be more evident for this Paragon Shep. Instead, there was a generic, "the aliens trust us," but no depth to that, if any Shepard killed off the council. It was repeatedly suggested that decisions would carry forward in a more substantial and lively way than this.

It was OK for ME 2 to not have this, simply because it hasn't been that long in game terms, because Shepard was in deep cover with Cerberus, and all that, but it was just barely enough, and ME 3 will need more. As difficult as it is to track those decisions, the payoff would be well worth it.

So please, if there's any way to do it, make sure at least some of our major choices, or even minor, interact with each other and create a personality suited to our Shepard.

ME 3 will be an incredible game, I'm sure, but certain story elements and the element of choice will be a lot weaker if you don't go the extra mile to make it all work and seem real.

Also, I want team members to come back!  And I want our former team members to show in their behavior, and perhaps in dialogue as well, the results of our discussions with them!  I understand that in real life people (Garrus) have things come up in their life, or say things they ultimately didn't really mean, but there didn't seem to be as much allusion to previous choices as I was hoping for, in regards to our teammates.  Garrus said, "just like old times," a lot, and quite frankly I hope he never says that again.  There was a very believable portrayal of each character, just not a terribly personal portrayal, or a portrayal of how Shepard has influenced people.

Again, lots of work, but worth the payoff.

Since this seems to be the stickied thread then I guess this is the one the devs will be looking at, so here goes:-

More RPG... Less Shooter.
My main beef with ME2 over the original game. Give us more depth with the level-up system and more to the items. Bring back guns with stats and mods, bring back classes of armour. Bring us back a looting system, even if the inventory doesn't make a return. More items to find. Bring back XP and missions like in the original game and get rid of the new "Mission Complete" style that ME2 went for.

More Weapons

Pretty much explains itself really. If ME3 is going to continue with the same system as ME2 then we really need more than just 2-3 guns for each category.

Deeper Weapons
Related to the point above, actually show us some stats on the weapons for comparison so we can choose which we'd prefer. Give the weapons more attributes, and actually allow us to mod them again like in ME1 rather than simply upgrading ala ME2.

More Armour/Clothing Customisation
Give us more armour and more casual wear. More patterns too. ME2 was a good start, but felt a tad shallow. There weren't enough different models of armour (overlooking the DLC stuff which was all a single piece) and not enough casual clothing for those who didn't want to support Cerberus. Even a more Alliance-friendly retex of the Cerberus dress uniform would have been at least something.

Bring Back The Mako

Or at least some equivalent. A mix of ME1 style planets to explore and ME2 style ones would be best.

Thermal Clip and Overheat System Hybridized.
Allow us to fire our guns without clips, even if it means overheating instantly. Gameplay reasons aside, it still feels like gun technology took a major step backwards here. A hybrid system would solve this issue.

Un-nerf Biotics
At least a bit. Them not effecting barriers and shields is one thing, but it makes no sense that armour renders them useless too. Have it so biotics do less damage to armour, but still do more than just make an enemy have two left feet for a few seconds.

Charm/Indimidate Not Always Ultimate Win
I've suggested this in the past before ME2 was even first revealed, but I'll say it again... Charm and Intimidate shouldn't always mean ultimate success. Have some individuals who don't react to one or the other. Only in rare cases mind you... not all the time, but there should be times when the only way to succeed fully at a persuasion check is if you're either a really strong Paragon or a strong Renegade, but not both.

Fix the Character Creator
Give us some decent angles to look at our Shepard. Seriously... this should have been fixed for ME2. Also, please don't put 15 minutes of unskippable cutscenes in front of it next time.

More Party Banter/Interaction
'Nuff said. See Dragon Age Origins for how to do this right. See KotOR 2 for how to do it right on a ship environment. And have the party members acknowledge each other more too.

F/F and M/M Romances
Pretty self-explanatory.  Proper ones too. This has been asked for since ME1 came out though, so if ME2 didn't have it I'm starting to doubt that it'll be there in ME3.

More Sidequests
ME1 had a good amount of decent sidequests, but ME2 felt barren. There just needs to be more of them for ME3.

Better N7 Mission Integration
If ME3 is going to have these, then please integrate them better into the narrative. While neat and more original and varied than their ME1 UNC counterparts, many of the ME2 N7 Missions felt too distant and shallow. The ME1   sidequests usually had a good link such as Admiral Hackett or somebody on the Citadel or a piece of news or a terminal you read giving you a mission, and then sometimes involved a moral choice and/or interacting with people, etc. In short, they had depth. The ME2 equivalents feel lacking in this department, as if they were just thrown in for you to find and with little dialogue or variations on how to approach them. And things like bad guys leaving a whole bunch of datapads around with comments on Shepard landing felt rather weak and lazy. I applaud you guys for the generally originality of the missions and the concept, but the execution and integration left a lot to be desired.

More Real Consequences for Import Decisions... Less Easter Eggs.
I'd like to see import characters in ME3 actually feeling that their decisions from the previous games made a difference. Some of the carry-over stuff was awesome, but much of it felt like it had little real impact on ME2 at all. While I realise that one can't have stuff effecting the main story too much and that one can't shaft newcomers to the game who haven't made imports, I still feel that overall there seemed to be very little impact on the events in ME2 at all from my import characters... especially when even major factors like your ME1  love interest and The Council are pushed so far into the distance. It just felt overall that most (not all, but most) of the import stuff really was just easter eggs for ME1 veterans and little more. And far too many situations seemed to be resolved via emails and nothing else directly. I hope there's more depth to and a greater degree of import related stuff in ME3... especially since it's the final game in the series and you guys can go nuts now.

Oh, and be more careful about things such as imports where players never recruited Wrex or Garrus in their ME1 playthroughs, because these are major factors that weren't addressed well in ME2 at all.

More Main Missions With Original Concepts
To sum up this, I'll just say "more missions like a certain recruitment mission where one stays in the shade"

More Anti-Cerberus Opportunities
I didn't feel like I got to stick it to The Illusive Man and his organisation enough in ME2. Not sure what ME3 involves exactly (I have me theories, but nothing solid) but I hope that if I'm not free of him in ME3 that I can at least make it well known that I want no part of him and his organisation beyond what's necessary.

Bring Back My Love-Interest in Full Force
If I can't recruit her, at least give her a role with some meat on it. Most notably, for me, Liara. A romance that spans three games needs an epic conclusion.

More Custom Normandy Stuff
Loved this in ME2... want more. Also, if possible, it'd be nice to give my ship a paint job more like the original's and less pro-Cerberus.

Tali and/or Garrus
Just want to note that it would be awesome if there was at least one squaddie who spanned all three games.

Frank Welker
As a voice actor for at least one character. He is a Voice God.

More Old Faces, Less New Ones
I know this depends purely on your story, but I'd like it if the majority of squaddies for ME3 were actually old friends from the first two games. Assuming there's 10 squaddies, having at least six of them be old favourites would be my preference.

Shiala
Want to see her again. Especially after the encounter with her in ME2.

Amy Emily Wong
I believe I owe her an interview... I'd like to actually be able to give her one.

More "Mundane"
 Things
This may sound weird and many may disagree, but I'd like to be able to do a few more... everyday things with Shepard now and then. Like, perhaps, a moment where you can take your love interest out for dinner and then you have to deal with the fact that you're Shepard the entire time. Or you're asked to give some kind of rousing speech to some people and you get various humourous  lines you can deliver.

First off... AWESOME GAME! ME2 is better than ME1 and ME1 was my favorite game of all time! you guys worked hard and did a great job... my wishes...

1. Adept Nerf- i play adept primarily, and i have been stymied on Insanity. i love the way that the way different abilities are effective against different defenses and it worked with my soldier fine, but biotic abilities are of little use against them...i am not a fan of warp spamming, but it often turns into that. Only solutions i might suggest is making one type of defences more vulnerable to biotics... half duration etc...

2.Citadel- i loved the original aspects, and would love to see them again... also not to thrilled with the new loading screens, but after the complaints with the elevators by most of the community i understand

3.Earth-refer to OP

4. Customization- OP

5. Use of many old squaddies in ME3- really hard, don't have any idea how to implement, and understand if it doesn't work... also, less is more i prefer less squaddies with more options

6.option to be someones friend by talking nice, not just romance (ie morrigan in DAO)

7.clean up running animation perhaps? seems a little off

8.teeth don't look quite right, i am sure this is REALLY hard to do, no complaints really

9. keep doing your thing I trust you guys implicitly KOTOR, ME, JE, ME2, DAO... all among my favorites. your standard of excellence is humbling. thanks for listening and can't wait!

1. Keep all the changes that were made for ME2 but add more, more armor parts, more guns, more alternate outfits for squadmembers etc.

2. keep the dirty dozen together

3. Conrad Verner's ME2 Hairstyle for Male Shepards

Oh and I would like the Virgil music from ME1 back in the game, maybe as a track I can play in my cabin. Along with a picture of the great rift valley on klendagon

I also would like fewer teammates, with higher quality dialogue, and branching choices in these dialogues to open up whole conversations - if just short conversations. Like, teammates bringing up specific points you made in prior conversations and exploring that briefly, maybe about as much as people would occasionally bring up your service record or background in the first game.

Also, some more interaction with characters from your background would be great! We had one quest for each of colonist, earth-born, and spacer, and I want to see more!  Like a few more, or just a satisfying quest to explore what our Shepard is and how they became who they are because of what they've been through, in all three backgrounds, psych profiles, or even all three games. This would definitely develop our sense of ownership and investment in our characters.

Also, I liked having weapons that  felt very different, played very differently, but to really make it my own I'd like some customization.  Upgrading weapons was just fine, it was fun and I liked it, and I liked the ammo powers well enough, but to give our weapons their own character would be awesome.  Basically, where there were fairly generic upgrades where Heavy Pistols were good for armor and shotguns were good for Shields, upgrades -

Maybe you could give us mods to make our Heavy Pistol, the one Shepard wields, strong against shields, or fire slightly faster, or have a little more ammo.  Swapping pieces of each weapon, like we had with armor, would satisfy me.  If these pieces also influenced the look of the weapon, like the pieces of armor, that would also be most excellent.  Strangely, I felt very bonded to my armor with each character I made, and that sort of bonding wasn't there with the weapons.  The real problem with inventory in ME 1 for me was that there was too much loot, it was randomly generated, and so much of the loot was just ugly and had poor stats.  I liked taking control of that a little with the resource management mini-games.  I want better RPG customization but I really, really hope you don't just go back to the old manner of inventory, but I suspect BioWare knows better anyway.

The issue with the ME1 loot was that it was pretty generic and bland, and there was too much of it.

Squadmate armor is an almost must...I was severely dissappointed to learn I couldn't even tell my guys to wear a damn helmet. Bring back helmet toggle and squad armor customization. And don't give me that, "they're rogues so they wouldnt wear what you tell them" shtick...Wrex was a Krogan battlemaster and he wore what you told him to. It's just something that needs to be. Oh and also don't give me that crap about how since they have unique clothing it gives them more personality and that allowing me to dress them up in matching armor would diminish that...bull. Nothing made me enjoy ME1 more than seeing Ash and Garrus follow me around and we're all in Predator armor. That made me feel like a freakin team of badasses...not just a hodge pog of miscreants.
