or, have the thermal clip system for high end weapons (Assault Rifle, heavy weapons, Sniper Rifle, SMGs) and then give unlimited ammo for the pistol and possibly the shotgun. or something like that.

Agree

I also want larger letters in the mail, subtitles, codex, etc. or a zoom function.

More customization in starship, armor, character image, your room theme.

Keep the thermal clips... But maybe add in a few unlimited ammo gun's too to add plausibility to the fact that they replaced every gun in the universe in under 2 years. Cause currently Bioware's explanation is a little BS.

Make them weaker, or less accurate or something but unlimited ammo and higher rate of fire, except for the overheating. A predator, an Avenger, and a Katana is all they would need.

  • More modular sets of armor.
  • Army of Two like weapons customization in addition to the upgrade system.
  • More interaction with squad members and Normandy crew.
  • Rework the Cain so that it can fire weaker shots or a one shot kill blast depending on player preference.
  • More upgrades for the Normandy.
  • Space battles with Newtonian physics between the Normandy and random pirates you bump into.
  • More hanar.
  • No new squad members and make some of the ME2 squad like Samara and Zaeed cameos or temp squad mates for certain levels.
  • An "Ah, yes. Reapers" dialogue option for those who saved the Council in ME1.
  • A final boss battle that doesn't feature a creature that doesn't fit in with the ME universe.

I actually enjoy the thermal clips, it makes the game a lot more fun, only real problem i have with it is that sometimes you have thermal clips coming out the wazoo when you don't need them, or you have none at all. I love how it forces you to cycle through your weapons and to actually make you use your powers. It makes the game that much more interesting, because in ME 1 with a few choice upgrades my weapon did not overheat once, the fact that you have to conserve ammo makes you more.. wary i guess makes you think more about what you have to do.

Its certainly not easier but its infinitely more satisfying.

More pirate/side quest encounters including space and land battles.

No Planetary scanning

Keep combat just the way it is...perfect, just add more hotkeys for abilities.

More weapon options and customization just like above post said.

OP thanks for creating this fread, but your opinions are not welcome here!

I think more non humen squad members would be awsome, and we could ditch zaed, also I have always wondered this, why are there no children in the games, are people born full grown now? I think it would be a great addition to the game to see kids because the way how it seems now, everyone is an adult, please. More NON-humen squad members, and show some children

I'd like to see some of BioWare's ideas from DA:O in ME3, specifically the spontaneous interactions between squad members and a "loyalty meter" (or something similar in concept like a "trust meter". The loyalty mechanics in ME3 seemed very rushed and lazy- almost as if BioWare implemented them like a month before they published the game). Having random conversations between characters in DA:O gave the game a more realistic feel and gave the player the opportunity to learn more about an npc's past and opinions of other squad members without having to talk to them for five minutes between missions. And because ME3 will most likely have the player fighting the Reapers, it would only make sense that it would take more than a single mission to make teammates loyal to Shepard (because when you're asking someone to go fight a race of god-like machines for you, you're going to need to do a hell of a lot more for them than just talk to their astranged father or help them get even against some old enemy).

Another thing I'd like to see changed is the ability to use X to skip through dialog. Half of the time when I'm skipping things I've heard a dozen times before, the dialog wheel will sneak up on me and I end up clicking a dialog option I didn't want. Continue to allow players to skip dialog by clicking the X button, just change the mechanics of the game so that X does nothing when the dialog wheel is visible.

And I know I've already suggested this, but I'll say it again, add some kind of multiplayer: either something that lets a co-op player take control of one of the squad mates you've recruited or add a multiplayer where players can fight- with their Shepard/a new character of any race (human, asari, turian, salarian, quarian, drell, krogan, or geth)- against other players in a variety of gametypes, such as large team battles (6-10 vs. 6-10 or whatever BioWare would be able to support), objective games (one scenario I thought would be interesting would be a multiplayer version of that last bit of Eden prime in ME1- one group of players run around a map disabling nukes whereas another team tries to stop them) or, if you guys at BioWare wanna incorporate the Reapers or any other canon enemies/events into the multiplayer, a gametype where a group of players fight from point A to point B, fighting waves of enemies in the process (ex. Reaper invasion= fighting husks, Krogan Rebellions= fighting krogans, First Contact War= fighting turians/humans, etc.).

(fear my wall of text)

... :D

What I'm saying is fps only during combat.

there's already a system is already in place to determine when a player is "in" combat and when a player is "out of" combat. This system already determines squad respawn and whether or not you can holster your weapon, and could potentially dictate the switch from 3rd person to first

Bioshock already proved that first person abilites can work. I'm not saying to rip off bioshock, just using it as an example of an effective game using that system. BW, as always, will do its own thing.

I also want to see female Turians, Volus, Salarians and Krogan. And maybe even a Female Krogan or Turian party member. Though I think 2/3 of the ME3 characters will be ME2 ones, you already recruited the perfect team, why would you get another?

Mass Effect: Galaxy of Penis's

Female salarians are already in the game. They're the salarians running around with robes and higher-pitched voices in ME1, and the salarian councillor is a female in ME1 and ME2 (at least if you save the Council at the end of the first game; not sure how the game changes if you let the Council die).

1. Keep the planet scanning. Introduce an imaging system upgrade that allows you to see resource "hotspots" on the planet surface. For example: while scanning for for platinum you see concentrations of it on the surface, move your crosshairs over the area and launch probe. Same for the other minerals.

2. Keep the thermal clips but bring back weapon mods.If people want to use things like frictionless materials and bullet spam fine, but at the cost of reduced damage. Make ammo powers available for everyone where logical. For example: Garrus isn't biotic so he can't therefore generate warp ammo. Shredder, incendiary, armour piercing, and disruptor are for everyone. Also keep ammo choices in the power wheel.

3. Can we sell some stuff please? Increased shop inventories would also be super. WTF happened to all the other manufacturers in galaxy? I'd like to items that only available in the Terminus Systems and vice versa in Council Space.

4. Squad needs armour. I'll buy it, raid merc shipments for it or better yet, give some of those resources I've been mining to Mordin and he can make us some.

5. Keep the load out screen. It's awesome and it make sense. I'm not carrying the huge ass inventory around with me like I did in ME1, thank god. Create an additional interface for squad armour selection in the armoury. Get 'em geared up appropriately before a mission and away we go.

6. Party banter during missions. See DA:O for details.

7. The ability to "romance" our LI's in varying locations, multiple times throughout the game. Sheps got a shower and he/she can't wash those hard to reach places alone.

8. Don't change the combat. It rocks. Christina Norman, please have my children.

9. No space combat or multiplayer.

10. Make it HUGE. Like12 disks. I'll settle for 3-5 though.

11. Aria. Just a one nighter or friends with benefits. Especially for renegade inclined Sheps.

12. Some sort of freaky, alien death critter for the aquarium.

13. Surfable extranet.

14. If the Normandy needs fuel then we must also have to discharge the drive core. On the planets that are suitable for discharge, make missions or random battles at some of the planets that have travel advisories. Preying Mouth, etc.

15. Bring back the ability to board the Normandy without having to leave orbit everytime. If I want to leave, I'll hit up the galaxy map.

16. Hire me. I'm very charming.

I really liked the idea from Knights of the Old Republic II, of splitting your party up and actually taking control of a separate squad from your main character squad and completing different objectives. It really gave the feeling of an epic battle, never made any sense to me to send just 1 team to do a 2 - 3 team mission. And Mass Effect 2 kinda had that at the end, but not being able to play as your 2nd team leader disappointed me in ways I did not think possible. You could play as Joker but not Garrus? Unbelievable. Having sections of the game where you can PLAY separate squads is just more epic. KOTOR and Jade Empire nailed it well.

This may seem stupid, but I liked it when NPC's dished out the side quests. It feels really bizarre when you just happen to stumble upon a smuggling operation, or an arms factory, or a renegade AI while scanning planets. Also planet scanning sucks, boring as hell (doesn't Cerberus hire less important people for stuff like this?).

Bring back the ME1 squad and the ME2 squad and combine them, maybe one or two extra squadmates but if they interfere with our old squad then, do not want.

Mass Effect 2 was a real step backwards in the RPG department. Sure the inventory from Mass Effect 1 was convoluted, doesn't mean you can scrape it completely. I personally would like more than 3 weapon choices for the entire game. And the skill system from Mass Effect 1 was okay. Bring techies to hack stuff and repair the mako, bring combat specialists to kick more ass in combat. Gave a more strategic element to picking party members rather than sheer personal preference. Shepard the expert hacker (with no tech skills) was kinda weird.

Kind of a minor thing, but having bonuses and penalties for different squad combinations would be cool. All those different personalities don't work the same way. Garrus and Tali would obviously work well together (veterans and all) but I don't think Miranda and Jack would cooperate perfectly. Plus it would give the yeoman something more to do instead of secretary work.

Indeed. I did not save all those characters for them not to return as squad members. I don't care if ME1 + ME2 + new ME3 members end up around 20 members. It's a spaceship. There's room.

and when did people start getting their own rooms on a ship the size of the normandy what happened to the 6x3x2 ft bunks that everyone is forced to have. everyone on the normandy gets to freaking choose where they are

Hmmm, to add my two cents but these are nitpicks, so they would be under the "wouldn't this be nice?" instead of the "this is absolutely necessary" category.

-Less static ship- Kinda poped in my head seeing a cutscene where the crew was moving around the ship. Made it feel alot more lively. Even if its a few people walking around making the place look busy, or people changing position on occasion, would add to the atmosphere.

-I like how much more dynamic the conversation were with companions on the ship, they felt a lot more natural. Maybe take it a bit further in the next game, where sometimes conversations carry over into different areas of the ship. For example: you go talk to your friend garrus and ask if you can talk, and he says sure he was about to go stretch his legs (cause calibrating those weapons is hard work:P) so the two of you walk around the ship a bit, pausing here or there as you chat. Not sure how easy it would be to implement but just and idea.

-Loved the interupts, would be neat to be able to use tech or biotic abitlites instead of pulling out your pistol sometimes.

-Add abitlies to regular coversations to perhaps. For example: to intimdate someone you would throw up a biotic barrer (like samara does when she is mediating) to add to it.

-Party banter like in Dragon Age. Really helped flesh out a dynamic party.  No need for elevators just have them go off at certain points like in DA.

-Automatic Fish feeder: cause dead fish make me sad.

-I loved the final mission where you had the whole party working "together" even if they weren't in the same area. More missions like that would be neat (though just regular missions not neccesarily "suicide missions).

As I said though these are "would be nice to haves", so by no means sacrifice story for any of these B)
