1. Allow us to keep any ME2 crewmembers who are with us at game's end.
2. Make the Geth/Quarian question a major questline, with the requisite crewmembers who are involved in said plotline having lots of face time if you have them.
3. Allow us to continue our ME2 or ME1 romance ASAP, with a more freeform DAO feel to it (Instead of right before final battle) and lots of romantic dialogue throughout the game.
4. More DAO style party banter
5. Keep the battle and inventory system, but improve squadmember AIs.
6. Joker romance option.

HUD:
- I found it really difficult to get a good idea of my squad's status during combat, because the HUD elements relating to their health and power recharge were too general. If you saw that the quarter pie-slice next to their face was red, you knew it was low, but never precisely how far down it was. If you saw that bar underneath their face, you knew their powers were recharging but not how far along until you brought up the power wheel. The protection/health bars used for enemies and a proper recharge bar/timer would make it easier to get more precise feedback on your squad's status. They don't need to be huge, just distinct enough to be read at a glance.
- Darken the area behind the conversation wheel and subtitles when they appear.
- I didn't think the red veins were necessary as a health warning when you could just look at the health bar.
- Please grant the option to turn game hints ("Use Unity to heal your squad", "Press B to end mission" etc) off.
Abilities:
- Unity I'd like better if it was a skill that had no medi-gel requirement and had to be improved like the other abilities, with an evolved version (Squad Unity?) having its current ME2 effect, while perhaps the other version granted some damage protection, regen, etc for a single member for a short time (so they're less likely to be KO'd again immediately after being revived - even with medi-gel upgrades, this was a problem when they were out of cover).
Combat:
- Please recover the distinctive ME1 sound for assault rifle fire! ME2's made me think I was firing the Lancer from Gears of War.
- Let us keep moving if we reload while in cover.
- I'd prefer that only shields were regenerated fully and that medi-gel became a direct way of recovering health. I think damage to health could work better if your suit only regenerates light wounds fully - say up to a quarter or so of your maximum health. More than that and it reduces your maximum health by the overflow, and requires medi-gel to recover your initial maximum. It just felt a little like health and shield/barrier blurred together into one statistic, since you recovered both completely in cover.
- Have hacks and bypasses as non-pausing activities that you may have to perform during combat to gain an advantage over the enemy or as an objective. In such instances you could have the hack/bypass screens overlaying the main game screen in ME's holographic style, allowing you to keep an eye on the combat around you and break off the attempt if you need to take cover.
- A few more tactical context-sensitive actions for your squad depending on what you're aiming at. For example, I came across quite a few situations where you had a closed door and you could see a bunch of enemies on the other side via the radar - let the squad perform a classic "open and clear" type manoeuvre while we have "Door [Open]" highlighted (they stack up on either side of a door, one of them opens it and the other throws something into the room to distract/disorient/damage the enemies inside before entering).
- When we are ordering squadmates to move somewhere, have the arrow icon on the ground change to something else (a shield?) when it will cause them to go into cover when they get there. That we, we know if we've positioned them properly (as it is, they will just crouch behind it and not attack if we haven't put them close enough)
- Defeated enemies could sometimes drop other things besides thermal clips: credit chits, usable weapons, medi-gel etc.
- A return to experience gains for killing enemies in combat; grant small XP bonuses for a few different actions like killing blows, headshots, throwing enemies off ledges, and so on.
- Offensive biotics could maybe feel different to the shooting aspects of combat. Example: roll the throw/lift/pull powers into one that lets us directly manipulate enemies once we have their defenses down. 'Grab' them with a button press/keybind, move them around with the look/aim controls and release them with the same button/key when you've built up some momentum swinging them around. Singularities might have you button-mash to increase the area of effect or to make enemies spin around faster. Shockwaves might have you directly steering the wave to hit as many enemies as you can. Biotics felt like you were using a another gun more than anything: most of the powers just had you firing biotic energy balls at the enemy.
- Similar to biotics, have tech powers distinguish themselves differently over firing different colors of energy balls around, e.g. Cryo Blast comes out as a short range spray that hits enemies in a cone in front of you, Incinerate has you hold down a key to shoot fire ala the Collector Beam weapon.
- Please abolish the range-based damage multipliers. I think increased damage at close range should come solely from a short-range weapon like a shotgun or SMG having significantly more bullets/powerful shot hitting the target than it would from farther away.
Romance:
- For those that are carrying over romances from the first two games, I'd like there to be some profound emotional payoffs/investments during the game. I would enjoy building to something that is personally immense for both Shepard and the LI, with a satisfying conclusion reached AFTER the main quest is done (as opposed to just sex the night before the finale). Not to diminish the main quest, but once that is over, having the romance (if there is one) take center stage to end the game would be memorable.
- Have some romantic moments intiated of their own accord during the game, as opposed to everything romantically significant taking place in the LI's chosen location on the Normandy, or in Shepard's quarters. For instance, if you walk near one of the dance floors in say, the Dark Star Lounge, Shepard's LI (if present) asks to dance: if he/she accepts, perhaps they have a nice romantic dance on the floor and get another romance conversation while they dance.
- Don't make romance 'safe'. Challenge players who choose to take part in it, whether it's the LI getting kidnapped and ransomed by someone wanting to get at Shepard, or another character vying for the LI's attentions (and who can be seen as being successful in getting it if Shepard does nothing about it). Don't let the player take it for granted.
Weapons:
- A wider variety of weapons within most classes of weapon would be great.
- I personally thought that SMG class could use some attention. Only the Tempest SMG felt like a classic SMG; the Shruiken just seemed like I was using a burst-firing heavy pistol. Machine pistols would be better if they resembled UZIs or TEC-9s a little more and were all fully automatic as a matter of course.
- Some statistics on a weapon's damage, accuracy, range and so on, would be welcome when you are choosing weapons before a mission. It doesn't have to go all the way down to numbers, just a general idea of how it performs (damage: good, accuracy: poor - that kind of thing).
- One thing that always bothered me was how characters held certain weapons. The Tempest SMG looked strange held with a pistol grip. It really would look better if that type of SMG was held in the rifle position. Likewise, heavy weapons would look better held in a shoulder-supported position when appropriate, instead of like rifles universally.
- Shotguns could stand to have a tighter spread when fired. They seemed weaker overall as a class of weapons, though not greatly so.
- Heavy pistols would benefit from a slightly faster projectile.
Vehicles:
- I personally would like to see vehicles appear as a component to individual missions, rather than something the team is always going to use whenever they explore a planet. Examples: Mission X has you dropped in at the right location from the start and you do the entire thing on foot, Mission Y has you using a vehicle to get to a target location yourself or pursuing a target after you've been on foot, Mission Z has you in a vehicle the entire time, perhaps as support for friendly forces or part of an armored convoy.
- I loved the gunships in ME2. If there's going to be any vehicle combat in ME3, could we please work those in as pilotable somewhere?
Minigames:
- When Shepard has a tech background (i.e. is a sentinel, infiltrator or engineer), grant the player innate bonuses on the hacking/bypass minigames, such as more time, or less nodes/code fragments to activate.
- How about allowing us to instruct any qualified team-mates currently accompanying us to perform hacks and bypasses on objects if we don't want to go through the minigame ourselves? Tech experts like Tali could be great at such things, with semi-technical characters (sentinels, infiltrators) being average and taking longer to be successful. Combat-centric guys like Grunt/Wrex might not be capable at all. Kind of similar to ME1's system, but more automatic and without leaving you in the lurch if you prefer not to have techs with you on any given mission (the player has to do all the hacking/bypassing themselves, in that case).
- Options to instruct crew members to scan and recover resources from planets for you, but with a requirement to stay in orbit around that planet for a set amount of real time. The player might use that time to go and do other things around the ship (talking to crew, reading email, customizing armor etc), though they could cancel the process at any time and recover whatever resources have been gained up to that point. Crew members with scientific or geological backgrounds could work faster and recover more resources than unspecialized crew members doing the same task.
- When manually scanning planets, there could be additional colored markers appearing in the scanner reticle to indicate the closest deposit of any given resource. I feel that most impressions of the scanning minigame being 'tedious' were due more to the fact that players had no real notion of where resources were located or what kind they would come across until the reticle was very close to their location, thus forcing them to scan pedantically around planets until the line graph suddenly peaked in a resource that they actually wanted. The line graph would work better as a precision indicator, after general indicators have guided the player to the right area.
Misc:
- Any chance that we can get some avatar icons/outfits for Xbox players? Perhaps with the collector's edition, if you make one.

And the whole scanning-thing in ME2 was just horrible! Bring back the MAKO, with improved physics and maybe an afterburner so you can climb those damned mountains. It was a pain in the ass in ME1, sure, but still WAY better than the scanning-chore in ME2.
More missions and a bigger main story in ME3 would be great, because in ME2 it was over before I even knew it. And the last mission was tedious and boring. The final boss was crap as well.
Oh well...

- VI probes that automatically gather resources for you.
- Send a VI probe down to the planet. It detects the resources the planet has and you choose which resource you want to take from it, one, some or all of them.
- And make the amount of resources being accumulated a progression of real time. So, the number of various resources you choose on a planet, the quantity of the resource the planet has and how much of it you want, will determine how long you need to wait in real time to get the amount of resources you need for an upgrade. The wait time shouldn't be insanely long, maybe a 5min max time limit to deplete an entire planet of it's resources?
That way, players aren't forced to that boring planet scanning, but they don't get a quick "I WIN" button for obtaining the resource they need straight away.
- And the more probes they send to a planet will increase productivity and reduce the amount of time the player has to wait for the amount of resources they need to be gathered. Also limit the number of probes the player has or make the purchasing of extra probes more expensive.
I reckon something like what I've described would work better than what they have for ME2, while still keeping with the planet scanning idea if they continue it in ME3.

1. Multiplayer! Come on the interrupt system is ideal for that sort of thing, kinda like what they have done in "Army of two: the 40th day" or whats it called. But here you should be able to link up with a friend, and take on the world as two shepardsish. Or Shepard and some other character right. The thing would then be that you could play "good cop bad cop", Explore several objectives at the same time, gain allies with one player, and enemies with the other, or even get angry with each other and go in different directions. Quest could be team or individual, say you p1 goes up to an NPC and gets an individual quest, then p2 can't get the quest. He can help but does not get the benefit of it.
2. Space combat, yes as mentioned earlier the normandy is not used much for anything, which is quiet a waste.
3. Character interactions, have some more talking between the crew, some infighting or small alliances, something that makes it more important which squad you choose. More using your whole team for missions, sending a group on an alternative path to flank, or go to the target while you take on the decoy mission. And depending on whom you send you get different results.
4. I don't mind that the Mako is gone, it did take a lot of time going around searching a planet, it was quiet fun but to time consuming. The scanner system is quiet funny too, but the thing when you find an anormally it is more annoying, that your told, rather then just finding it. Should maybe be more like that you scan the planet, and then you stumble across the base or something interesting.
5. There should also be some problem with going around stripmining planets for resources. Especially the planets that are inhabited, don't they kinda mind that you are stripping their planet of resourses. So some kind of mining-permit would be needed, or you would get trouble (gain renegade).
6. More greater impact decisions. As it is the last game this will most likely be a hard thing. But I had a hard time finding these like really hard decisions through ME2, which was a bummer. I will accept arguments that say that I probably play to much paragon, and that is why the decisions are more hidden, well it's just who I am okay hehe
7. greater difference on weapons damage. It was a great improvement from ME1 to ME2, that the sniper does great damage at much slower fire rate, and the pistol less with shorter range and that stuff. But I did like the overheat mechanics better, it makes more sense then the heatclip thing. And if you do go all the way and create an ammo-clip system, then this was a weird idea, as the weapons apparantly have unlimited ammo, you should still be able to fire the weapon but it would overheat and break! That should be the idea with the heatsink system. A combination of the two systems would work best. And make sure that the heatsinks can give of the heat, so that you can survive a long time on the same clip, or it will betray you to heat sensors or something like that.
8. More no shooting mission, ME2 has nearly only "go! shot!" missions which is quiet a drag with the AMAZING STROYLINE!!
I think that was it for now. But my biggest wish is the two-player campaign, either where it's the original campaign with shepard if he is alive, and some new guy/girl as an npc, that can be sent on missions, or played by a second player.
Or an entirely different campaign (say a support campaign with the text somewhere in the story saying "We have another team covering the geth" or "The council has decided to add extra resources to your mission, taking care of things you don't have time for.") where the two characters take on different missions that the main quest ignors or something way more complicated, where the main(single player quest) is going on anyway and those decisions have effect on what happens here. So a playthough on singleplay would be needed to add those decisions. So shepard is on earth at one point, and solving something that adds a fleet later at a point you are going to visit.
I know complicated but very rewarding I think in the end... so see the next game in what 10 years heheh!

11. Slightly more (non-heavy) weapons and vital statistics for all.
12. Resource gathering/mining. Assume the resources of all (almost all) planets in known space are already exploited. The ones that aren't should yield an abundance of materials. Otherwise mining should be done in the systems with asteroid belts.

The main storyline I thought it was short, but interesting and more character focus on their individual problems and all of that.
What I want in ME3:
- Open war, against the reapers.
- More interaction between crew members and party members. I want to see Garrus talking to crew member about weapons, or Moridin with Dr. Chakas (don't know if it is written correctly) in scientific discussion or discussing about to find cure to Thane. Miranda playing chess with Legion or Tali discussing things with Legion or Mordin about immune system. But after a mission things change Miranda is Talking with Jacob about Cerberus being to radical and point of view of working for the Alliance and so on. Make characters being in different places and in different discussions and situations.
- Related to interaction between party member Sheppard can help more in relationships between party members. I mean, Miranda with Garrus, or Joker with Kelly, Jacob with Jack or Thane with Jack or Thane with Ashley, Liara with Garrus or Mordin with Dr. Chakas. And so on, but don't make it too much Love Boat where every party member has love interest. Learning that Mordin has wife and kids.
-Working back to the alliance. That will depend on what choice is you made at the end of the final suicide mission. if that choice corresponds to the alliance you can join back bring all of the crew and Normady with Sheppard.
- Bring back the old ME1 party members maintaining the ME2 party members (if they survived the mission, but drop Zaeed, which is the only one I don't care about. Just add one or two party members that should occupy by either new species or characters that brings more dynamic to other party members. Myabe Prothean? That would be nice, but maybe little repetitive due to Legion. or make the prothean a key of the main plot.
- Make Earth an important location or be part main plotline, which after the end of the suicide mission makes perfect sense.
- Showing a lot of different alliens living on Earth, after the Alliance joined the Council, specially Quarians scientists to study the human immune systems to find a way to revamp their immune systems.
- Let us show how politics is on Earth and if the notion of countries that exists today, if it still exists and if not what changes brought the formation of the Alliance and which countries are part of it, but I conclude that all countries are part of it. Also a history point of view can be good point to be discussed by party members specially aliens.
- Quarian mission to reconquer their homeworld back from the Geth heretics with Legion's collactive helping out.
- New planets specially the homeworlds that affect the party members, but keeping the old ones introduce in ME1 and 2.
- Make the Council to see some proof or scare of their lives, that there is no way but to believe that what sheppard has told about reapers is true
- Bring back the Galactic political intrigue of Council, with the rest of the races in council still acting wierd toward humans. It puts more depth into the open war aginst the Reapers. Things like Sheppard tell Selarians and Krogan need to seperate their differences or the reapers can annihalate them both. The same for Quarians and Legion's collective.
- Make the gameplay a lot of hours. Think like Final Fantasy VII. Make it between 4 and 6 dvds. If ME 3 is last of the reaper storyarc, then it should be epic.
- I liked the ME2 battle system, but try to find a way to incorporate that to space battle. Maybe Sheppard manding the guns or something.
- Helmet on or off option for downloaded suits and upgrades that effect those suits.
- Maintain the scanning, because i prefer this then the Mako. But making in improvements, make the radar bigger or/and make a gray area that as you scan the gray disappears showing the surface of the planet like ti is now. This can show us which parts of the planet have been already scan. It will avoid of scanning parts that we already did.
- Maintain the upgrades if done to Normandy.
- Most important invent new spectre class or something for the reason for Sheppards skill back to square one. I think it would be too much cliche if Sheppard was killed once more and brought back. I pretty much hated the sheppard being dead and brought back to life. If this is the norm then killing Saren in ME1 will be pointless becasue i will be expecting for him to come back.
- Make hot keys for different weapons that Sheppard has. It his hussel to change weapons specially you rotated the wheel of the mouse in the wrong direction related to the weapon you want. At least make it editable.
- Make positioning you party members in the battlefield to specific points. See Star Wars Republic Commando for further information. Not saying I want exactly that but variant of it.
- For last, let us show what Quarians look like.
Personal request: I request that Trilogy of films of Mass Effect be made based on the reapers storyline.

I would like the game to feel more that you get upgraded when you progress, no other game makes you feel more progressed than RPG:s. But in ME2 you don't get that feeling, i have played other shooters who gives you this feeling more (Bioshock or Dead Space are some examples).
The weapons and armor should be more customizable as stated by the op, maybe you could buy a ammo pack or another scope for your weapon for example. Even ME1 had a more advanced system, although i like this system more. Since it feels like you actually firing another gun and not the same weapon with more damage, like in ME1.
I want the exploration feeling back, i think you had a good number of side quests in this game, but i want to be able to explore, like i could in ME1 and so many other games.
The towns, i like Omega dunno why, even though its small it feels cool. But i miss the old citadel and other planets like Noveria. Every planet in this game save for Ilum and Tuchanka feels too small. I rather have quality over quantity, so maybe reduce the total number of main quest planets, but make them bigger and better.
Stores, the stores in ME2 was a joke they have 5 wares and don't accept wares you sell. Make the store actually have wares, like new weapons and weapon upgrades.
Mini Games, you should have some way to make money. In this game, the only way i can think of to make money other than missions, is the varren fights:blink:. In ME1 you had quasar, which was a decent casino game. You didn't need money though, you already had to much. In this game its the opposite, yet there is no way of making money other than quests. Bring quasar back and maybe pazaak too.
Other than that there is not much more i can say really, the gameplay is great and its defenitely a step in right direction, every class feels unique now and there is nothing thats completely gimped or overpowered.

Amazing to do this, I also think that you should also be able to kick Ceberus out of the picture when fighting collecters/reapers and be able to work with specters. Cerberus would then have to send someone else to get the job what they want done, Maybe a huge war break out between Alience and Cerberus, Choose your side wisly, then Reapers come in and kill everyone.

I know, even the reapers needs many Years to approaching the Solar System. In the Meantime, let the "Love Fruit" of Shepard and his/her Wife/Men. Grown strong. Something like Terminator 3. As much as I loved ME2, I couldn't help but to feel sorry for my Shepard running around the Normandy looking for a friendly chat, only to be told to get lost. (Well, not really, but hope you get the picture
Granted, ME2 had more party members to interact with than it's predecessor and we got to see some awesome new characters, but even after having gone through all the available dialog with certain party members, they still felt relatively distant to me.
Also, even though some people complained about the elevators in ME1, I honestly miss the party banter during the ride.
Invetory/Loot/Upgrades
First off, I'll have to admit that I didn't really have an issue with the invetory in ME1, mostly because I am an avid RPG fan and I'm used to rummaging through hoards of stuff, but I can relate to other people who found the invetory search to be frustrating at best (and migraine inducing at worst).
A well made, more linear inventory could work , though I won't rend my garments if I don't see the invetory system return in ME3.
My main gripe with the upgrade system is the lack of weapons you could upgrade... and by that I don't mean weapon stat/damage upgrades, but the lack of whole new weapons you could research/use.
Having wasted years of my time in a company of a certain MMO has taught me that running around with the same weapon for too long is just being lazy.
As for the loot, I'll admit that it got a bit silly in ME1, where you found armour and/or weapons in every cupboard you came across with, but as I mentioned above, it seems to me that the issue with dealing on your weapon and armour upgrading got dumbed down a bit too much. Not to mention the glaring lack of party armour.
Like having Garrus ****** about in the same broken piece of armour is rather odd. Did the economy crisis hit the known universe so hard that manufacturers had to stop making armours? Or is it just humans being so damn racists that they won't sell new gear to turians?
While I don't miss the MAKO sections at all, I do feel that the areas given to us were a bit lifeless, 'specially the hub zones like Citadel, Ilium and Omega.
...well, mainly just Citadel. I mean, we got access to ONE ward with very little to see. I see the Citadel as a great, albeit wasted, opportunity for immersion.
Oh Jebus, that's it for now. My coffee is getting cold :<
Summary
-More party dialog / interaction
-A more diverse system of armour/weapons. More models and whatnot, either obtainable by looting or research.
-Moar Citadel...
That's all I could come up from the top of my head and it's simply my personal opinions, so no need to get upset if you don't agree with anything I've said
