I like this, could be real interesting. Rather than research a flat 10% damage increase, allow the player to research increases to weapon attributes. Only problem I can see is that it would lead to one certain way of upgrading being superior to all other ways of upgrading.

I would love it if Mass Effect three had some alternate Weapon System. Maybe putting some focus on the Close Quarters Combat Aspect of the game. A quick wrist blade that can cause slow bleeding, A shock fist to cause stuns. Hell A syringe would be pretty cool (if a little morbid)

I know that blades are basically out of the equasion because that would mean you would be at a serious disadvantage (never bring a knife to a gun fight) but if they would give more bonuses toward closes quarters combat than I would definitely love it.

A few ideas that I can give (while still being able to fight with your weapon) are:

Turian Anti-Riot Gloves: Made first by C-Sec during the old days at the Citadel, these old riot gloves were soon taken off of standard issue C-Sec Gear due to fatal complications these gloves had against many species nervous systems. They wrap around your hand and when you tap the melee button, electrical energy surges through the gloves and delivers a powerful shock to the enemies nervous system, momentarily stunning them.

Krogan Wrist Blades: Used mostly as antique war items to be desplayed at Human Museums, Krogans have always held onto these blades and have even fashioned wrist blades for quicker kills without the incessant need to switch between blade and gun in the middle of a fight. I had heard some talk that Krogans used blades, so to stay true to the Mass Effect universe, you can have a specifically tailored one that is fashioned around the prone hand that supports your gun. When you strike, the blade unleashes and cuts your foes, giving you the ability to bleed your opponents after you take down their shields.

Vorcha Destabilizers (or maybe Vorcha Revitalizers Name would be up to Bioware): Used by many vorcha that are have outlived most of their natural recovery. These specially designed gloves, Bought by Bloodpack mercenaries and Developed by Rogue Cereberus Scientists, are designed to quite literally  suck the life out of your opponent. Each strike with the melee weapon sucks away an opponents shields/barriers/health at a fixed amount toward your own life.

Dwell Poison Blade: Utilized by the deadliest assassin in the universe, these can be hidden in the wrist and fire out at opponents. The poisons are usually hillucenagents and cause the target to fall over and under him or herself. If enough poison is struck into a target, it could cause catastrophic damages to nervous systems, especially those that link the brain activity to movement.

Just a few ideas I had that would make Melee action more fun than your standard punch.

Firstly, thank you for getting rid of the Mako. Secondly, damn you for the new mini-games and planet scanning. ;)

I personally can't understand how anyone could enjoy the mini-games. I found them just plain irritating. Anyone with at least the memory of a goldfish would find the bypass game a mere inconvenience and the decryption game just gives me a headache trying to find and match up the code segments whilst everything's moving.

The Simon Says minigame in ME1 did get repetitive, but at least it only lasted a few seconds. The new minigames are just as repetitive but are much more annoying because they take longer to get out of the way. I dread opening things because I know I'm going to have to deal with them, but I can't help it as I want the goodies.

Frankly, I'd prefer a system where if you have the required skill level (or someone on your team does) the containers/safes just release their contents without any minigame.

And please, no more manual planet scanning. I found it bad enough that in ME1 when you orbited a planet you had to wait for the planet info screen to slowly appear before you had the chance to press Y to survey. Why would I not want to survey? But I absolutely hate the planet scanning in ME2. Please go back to the ME1 style, but make the planet info appear instantly and just auto-survey and just tell me what I've obtained from that planet. That would make me more inclined to visit more planets and I'm more likely to read at least some of the planet info if I haven't had to wait a few seconds for it to appear.

As for the inventory, I kinda missed it in ME2 but it did become very cumbersome in ME1. If it could be streamlined in ME3, so that

a) only weapons that were in some way better than the currently equipped one were presented as choices,
B) weapon types that squad members were untrained in were locked out so that you couldn't waste time managing them (I had trouble remembering which squad members were untrained in what, which made me waste time exiting the inventory so I could check).

that would be far better. If you decide to stick with the simpler ME2 inventory, some stats (damage, etc) would be nice. It seems pretty pointless at the moment anyway as there doesn't seem to be any reason to change from the best weapons back to the previous ones. The only thing I seem to want to swap is my Heavy Weapon, depending on what I think I might come up against. There also doesn't seem much point in the Weapons Locker, as I get to change my weapons at the start of each mission anyway.

If you decide to restore the Sell Equipment feature in ME3, besides grouping items to make them easier to find in the list, perhaps a Hide Item function could be implemented, to allow me to tag/hide items that I don't want to accidentally sell.

I much preferred the squad selection screen in ME1, as the ME2 one doesn't show me the skillset of each character, so it's hard to know if I've got a suitable/balanced team.

Now I've told you what I didn't like, I'd like to thank you for both ME1 and ME2 as they're both amazing, immersive games with great storylines. I just hope ME3 can be irritant-free :)

EDIT: This was also posted on a new thread, since I didnt see this thread at first.

I am aware that my english arent that good here... Bear with me here people.

In my opinion EVERYTHING is better in mass effect 2 from mass effect 1, except story which is just as great in both games.
"Mass effect 2" is one of my favourite games of all times while "Mass Effect 1" is a game I will propably NEVER play again.
IN mass effect 3 I would like to see:

Inventory:

Better to use the inventory from mass effect 2 in Mass effect 3... I hated the inventory that was used in the first game!!! Oh sure a lot of stuff, but they didnt change the way you looked visualy, and the armors and weapons just preety much changed colours... The way armour and weapons were made in mass effect 2 were A LOT BETTER than in the first game. Its better to have visual affect than a lot of  items with crap use.

Vehicle:
Do NOT bring back the vehicle UNLESS it really can be improved, and if you do bring back the vehicle DO NOT allow us to travel as freely. I mean OMFG it got boring after third terrestrial planet that I explored (and there was like 30 planets?). I was happy as hell when that was removed in mass effect 2. It felt also very unrealisticaly to be honest. In mass effect 2 though, the planets that you land on feels a LOT MORE alive (jungle, forrest, mountains, waterfalls etc etc), even though the area to explore are smaller. But to waste that amount of Gigabyte on planets that all preety much look the same is useless (NO REPLAYABILITY). OH PLEASE GOD do not add the vehicle, unless you really can improve it... And I am certain it will be to hard. What we ALL have to remember is that we cant have it all in the game. We have to choose from some things. And I truly believe the vehicle was a huge amount of wasted space in mass effect 1. When mass effect 2 came out and there were ALIVE planets to land on I jumped out of joy! I rather replay ALIVE planets on foot with a new character with new skills, than DRIVING around on dead planets were the only thing you can do was DRIVE and find stuff which only adds to codex or shows a popup text window.... SO BAD gameplay!!!! Though if vehicle are added, make it as customizable as the character OR MORE. Then there is ONE point with having vehicle. Maybe allow us to also buy different vehicles, exchange the one we have with better ones until we are happy with the vehicle. I still believe the way the vehicle was made for mass effect 1 really sucked!

Customization:
A game bioware really should take some lessons from when it comes to customization and possibility to expand thoughout the story/levels is "Dark Chronicle". Ive played 100 of rpg games in my life and not a single one had the customization as that game.

Expandability:
What the new mass effect 3 needs is to EVOLVE the further you reach ingame. (VISUALLY Espacially). For example what was implemented much better in mass effect 2 than mass effect :
In mass effect 2 "YOUR OWN LIVING QUARTER EXPANDED (though not a lot, which was sad), different outfits and armours was given from start (but we should encounter more to buy or achieve the further we evolve in level/storyplay), the romance got a little bit more interesting because you now could after a while interact with them in you living quarter (though not a lot).

Romance:
I would like to see romance evolve A LOT MORE, ability to change the romanced partner clothes, as soon as she lives in you quarters. Also more interactions. If Asari, she would "poledance", if Krogan, arm-wrestling. You would loose if you have low level. and if you win against partner you get a sex scene or whatever. What i mean is that the game needs to be expandeable throughout gameplay/storyplay/levels, meaning the ability to evolve the further in storyline you get, or the higher levels you get.
Well heck, allow us to but a stripper/dancer to our quarters after visting Omega... Even allow us to romance more than one character at a time. At least 2 in my opinion, depending on how the characters are in their personalities.

SpaceSHIP:

We did in mass effect 2 get the possibilty to upgrade our ship, but there were no visual change that took place.
VISUALS are important!!!! The living quarters should in mass effect be very upgradeable. Maybe even make the ship bigger visualy the more you upgrade. As  well as the whole INTERIOR and EXTERIOR.

Renegade and Paragon
Renegade and Paragon is impressive but needs to have higher ingame effect
. I liked the fact that if you were renegade your eyes turned red and your scars shined red. But what was the visual for Paragon? ... NONE! Come on, what was all that about. Give us blue eys or something similar.
VISUALS ARE ONCE AGAIN IMPORTANT.
Also I wanted to romance Morinth, but it seemed she killed me EVEN THOUGH I had high renegade as well as paragon. That was a HUGE dissapointment. "For those that have played baldurs gate 2 knows there is no limit to whom you can romance. The evil drow Viconia is romanceable and the one I thought was the most fun to romance. She was evil, had darker skin and also you could have a child with her in the end etc etc (developement)."
If one would have been renegade one should have been able to interact with Morinth without dying! Thats what a game needs. The possibility to choose to romance evil characters or good ones. I havent seen a SINGLE character that is evil in this game (that one can romance with).
Morinth was a great option which wasnt evolved enough.
To sum up:
If I stay on the light path my appearance should change so to look more "Good", but if i stay on a dark path my appearance should change towards looking more evil. The appearances should NOT make you look preetier or uglier, just smoother or harder. Just because im evil doesnt mean I want to turn/look ugly.
Also implement renegade and paragon in romances. at least if i choose to romance a plain evil characer such as Morinth I would increase my renegade. It should be possible to romance an evil character even though you follow good path, BUT you should recieve a lot of renegade points for doing so.
 ------------------------------
Replayability:
What I myself thought was great was the fact that now we could continue playing after completing the game.
IF finishing the game in mass effect 3, Allow us to continue playing AND import the character as in mass effect 2. If one unlocks all upgrades or all weapons/amours/romances it should be allowed to be transferred to new game. Or at least the ability to choose so. That makes one want to play the game again, becuase you have some stuff from scratch without cheating. "Oh now I can wipe out that boss with ease but with different tactics"... This touches difficulty, look further down.

Difficulty
Difficulty really needs improvement!!!
I always play on the toughest difficult, because I feel that I USUALY in other games become better  the longer I play. Sometimes just by my own skill being enhanced, but mostly by recieving better weapons or achieving higher levels. This is missing in Mass effect 1 as well as Mass Effect 2. Starting the game with low level, the game is decent in "thougness", but the more levels you achieve the harder and thougher it gets!!! thats totaly wrong. My powers gets completely worthless, I have to rely ONLY on my weapons, and neither them makes any greater damage upon my foes. Im not looking for a  very easy game on level 30 on high difficulty, but the game should not become harder, and your powers should ESPACIALLY not become weaker. I thought I needed to reach higer levels for my powers to do some serious damage, they actualy became worse.
NO powers even if they are upgraded fully can work at maximum damage as long as enemies have shields, that means that most powers have to be used on the LAST living enemy, AND the last enemy still needs to have only healthbar left... The powers are actualy rather uselss on high Difficult. I want to feel rewarded when adding that last point on Charge, turning it into Heavy Charge (It MADE NO DIFFERENCE). I still couldnt hit mutiple enemies without first degrading their shield (pushing them off cliffs). So whats the use with powers then, when the weapons actualy can do more damage, at the same time hiding behind a box in a safe distance.
For example the charge for vanguard is useless in the end.  Even the heavy charge can only hit enemies without shield (does minimal damage/5-10 percent of their lives), and if i do charge an enemy with a shotgun I cant even one shot them to thirs death...
Powers degrade in usage the more levels you achieve. And when you reach level 30, the powers are somewhat useless. (SOME). Whats the point in dominating an enemy if I first have to take out its shield. Its a lot faster killing it with submachine gun or sniperrifle.
The powers should be that crap from START/Level 1-20 at such a hard difficult, not in the end... The enemies should STILL be hard, but I should be able to use better powers as well.
Also the shotgun makes crap damage at higher levels...There is also no chance that you will make it back to cover. You die before you get the chance to, mostly because the enemy you try to kill do not die from a shotgun blast right through his chest. And his support gunners kill you very easily shortly thereafter.
I havent played the game at easier levels because i do like a challenge but when all my powers make minimal damage at THAT high level, it just makes the game boring, and I do feel like cheating.
If the charge for example have that low damage, at least make it able to push trough enemy shields, so that i can push them of cliffs and such (SKILL)!!!
I believe all powers should work through shields IF they are fully upgraded. That would be a good workaround the MINIMAL DAMAGE they cause even though you are high level.

I would like to see basically 3 things in ME 3: FIRST better melee moves. I am not being unreasonable, i am not talking about combos or anything, but i would like to see each character to have his own melee signature move like kicks or something. Melee with the gun is quite uninspiring really. SECOND A simple trading system. I ended up having loads of minerals that i couldnot sell whilst i was short on credits. THIRD Better videos if u please FOURTH A better Citadel FIFTH We need a vehicle but only in certain missions. Something like the firewalker pack.

Obviusly It will need penalties or some balancing system to prevent all upgrades going into "Damage".

I also agree with some that melee could be enhanced to some small degree at least.
What I want most though, is the possibility to see you character and you surroundings change throughout game, not just in skill but visualy as well. If you do upgrade your weapon/armor it should be seen while wearing it. The possibility to buy outfits from differnnt planets, TO ALL YOU team-members, and not just yourself, so that you feel that you character and your surroundings EVOLVE by time played. Same with renegade and paragon. Make renegade and paragon usefull ingame (romances for example), and espacially the way you look visualy. Same with quarter, the living quarter should be small from start, but eventualy your collected weapons/armors will decorate your walls/closets, and your room/ship will evolve into something much larger and epic. The quarter should have a greater use as well. Your romanced partner should be able to stay there as in mass effect 2, but the quarter must have other uses as well (as the closet), maybe a posibility to look at the weapons in closeup. Do interactive stuff with you partner and surroundings, doesnt mean "sex" (though I wouldnt think that as bad). Could be whatever... Change their clothes, make them dance, such small things. So that you feel that your surroundings are more alive, and that you actualy control your surroundings more. The spaceship should look differently depending on how you customize it, or upgrade it. So that the spaceship you had your first playthrough looks completely different the next since you import it.
And for chirsts sake, give us some nudity, it wont kill us, and it wont kill the game.
Just take a look at the series "Spartacus: Blood And Sand". The nudity makes the show better, not worse.

I would love EVERY squad member from ME1 and 2 (except the ones killed) to be able to join your squad in ME3.....or @ least play roles bigger than a scene or two......the squad members from both games are what made Mass Effect an amazing series

In some way I agree, but some characters have already used all their fun parts. And its ALWAYS funnier to explore new characters and personalities. Joker should stay in Mass Effect 3, Tali, maybe Miranda, Grunt and Anderson, Kaidan... But the rest have used their storys. I did not like either Ashley Williams nor Liara T'Soni. the problem with espacialy female characters are that in previous games they are rather ugly (mass effect 1). Cause the graphics were limited. And they cant really change thier looks now and all by the sudden make them hotter. Thats a big problem. So the character from Mass Effect 1 should in my opinion get trhowed away OR just appear briefly, or something similar. Not squad materials anyway.
Tali and Joker are propably the only two characters that actualy are worthy a steady seat in "Mass Effect 3". Lets face it, Joker are funny as hell (with EDI), and Tali has still not shown her face, and she could evolve in her immune system as well, so therefore always walk without mask in future.
But when it comes to companions I would not like to see the companions from the former game Mass Effect 1, due to the way they looked back then... And NO they can not change their looks all by the sudden, they are ugly as ugly can be :P

1. Exploring in the Mako wasn't that fun anyway. It mostly consisted of
driving around a mountainous region in a vehicle ill equipped for such
terrain searching for useless minerals, driving to various hotspots
marked on the map, and occasionally shooting stuff.

Did you read what I said or simply looked at 'mako' and decided to rehash the same thing that the other guy said? I know that the Mako wasn't fun. I said instead of removing an entire aspect to the game - they should've fixed it. I didn't say, 'leave it as it is' but then again, you would've known that had you read my reply.

2. The ME1 style
inventory makes no sense in a futuristic scifi setting. I think ME2
nailed the way it should be handled, but they need to give us more
armor pieces and add an Army of Two weapon customization system so we
can set up our guns the way we want them, while also benefitting from
the universal upgrades.

Right the new 'ammo' system makes sense though right? What are you talking about it doesn't make any sense? That's a pretty lame reason. However, given that they decided to go with this new system - the least they could've done was given us a-lot more choices.

3. They're giving us the Hammerhead. While
it is fugly, it certainly looks like it's going to be less infuriating
to navigate with than the Mako.

You are going off of 'looks'? Pretty lame premise to go on. Sure it looks like it will be better, therefore it 'will'. You cannot judge that it will be better or worse then the Mako until you actually tried it yourself. Even so - I stand by my original point on the subject.

5. It takes more time to make custom
environments for each mission than it does if you just reuse the same
basic template 50 million times like ME1 did. That said, the side
missions were a litle short, but at least they had some impact on the
ME universe (you hear news reports related to stuff you did throughout
the game).

I realize that concept thank you. My point was, why not mix it up? Sure it was the same design over and over again but hey, at-least it continued the story for me. Which I will agree with you on that. They did. Which made doing the side missions even better.

6. The reason they cut it down to 30 for ME2 was you can get to 60 in ME3.

That is a terrible assumption. What are you basing this off of? Even if the developers said something to this effect, they have not completed ME3 yet and cannot say for certain what it will take to beat ME3. I'm sure in the event that is what a developer said, they are merely hoping it takes players 60 hours rather then it being a true measure to go off-of.

7. There really wasn't that much to the Citadel in ME1 and what was there was pretty much replicated by Zakera Ward.

Are you serious? just by that statement I think you have forgotten the Citadel in ME1 completely. I want you to go back to the Citadel in ME1 and then compare that to ME2. Then tell me that 'what was there was pretty much replicated by Zakera Ward'. It was not.

Even in the case that you were right (which again you are not), I said they should be expanding the universe - not downsizing or making something similar size.

ME1:
C-Sec (Customs, Office, even Tower)
Asari Consort (main-floor and her room)
Flux  (Flux has a bar and dance floor on the ground level, with a casino on the mezzanine.)
Chora's Den
Embassies
Emporium[/b]
Citadel Council Area
The Wards (Upper and Lower)
The Clinic

I mean really - there was so much to do - so many quests, so many people to talk to. Go back and replay the Citadel in ME1. I can't believe you compared the two.

8.
Not sure what you're talking about here. If you talking about your ME1
squadmates dispersing, you were dead during that time and no body knew
you were going to come back to life. Of course you would have to go
recruit people.

The story-line that I'm dead, yeah - it works for a bit but basically I have to assemble a brand new team from scratch. What's the point of even playing with the tools in ME1? Shouldn't they jump at the chance to get back at it? The only two who give a damn (well actually three including Joker), is Garrus and Tali.

Couple of other things I forgot.

I much preferred the points leveling up in ME1. Was too simplified for my liking in ME2.

There's a serious problem with the subtitles, in that they're white and often shown on top of a light scene which makes them unreadable. I know it would look ugly, but perhaps there should be a black background behind them. Maybe you can think of a better way but there's no point in subtitles if they can't be read.

It'd be really cool to see more of life onboard the normandy as well.

Perhaps next time, a reward for helping the chef would be a short scene or convo while eating a meal with the crew in the mess? The ability to drink with dr chakwas was great, i'd love to see more character development and depth to the crew.

There was a bit in ME2 but for example, Rupert, Ken and Gaby, you didn't get more than 1 or 2 conversations with them max. More conversations with Joker would be awesome also. Seth Green is awesome.

Mass effect as a franchise has mastered combat, now lets see the Storytelling really shine!

Well-said and true to some degree, but in the case of Morinth, you die after consumating with her because she's an Ardat-Yakshi, and therefore kills anyone she mates with without exception. She basically lied to Shepard to get that opportunity. This is a biological factor established by Bioware's writers, and not open to change.

There should be atleast 1 romance option on each major world in ME-3.

I also hope there is a consequence, and one of your squad members betray you and turn against you in ME-3, and it is entirely up to you who does.

I think that the squad in ME 3 should be based on the first and second games squad members. You should be able to choose which members form each game you want to bring back with a limit on the number. Death should be more real. You should potentially lose team members to wrong choices. You could then pick up other squad mates you didn't choose from the others to replace them.

I do not agree there. Yes she does have that power, but shepard also were different, he did have a advanced mind from 1000 of protheans inside him (KINDA), also he had actualy already died, plus who else in the whole game has that red scarring (or the possibility to gain such scarrs)? None? My point were just to add that he was and is special, he aint plain and simpy human no more. Now thats not the way Bioware did go this time, but that its not open for change? Thats wrong because there isnt anyhing that says Shepard would react as other alien beings, and therefore die. he simply isnt natural anymore.

BUT I must add that I see your point, and can understand it. She did propably lie to Shepard, but she could also have thought and hoped he would survive because, lets face it, she cant have sex with anyone which was clear in Shepards case. Though that scene was more of an easter egg... But you propably would go for good characters and therefore not care for Morinth, therefore you believe its fine if Shepard cant resist it.
I just thought shepard would be more badass only. And she WOULD (WOULD) have been a nice romance character if it would have worked. In storyline it would be much clearer that Shepard is SPECIAL if he would have survived. Its all about the fact that Shepard is special, and not like others, that was my point. Not one single being in space is like Shepard, we have seen that.
Its all up to the writers in the end... They didnt do it like the way I would have liked them to, but doesnt mean that they wont in future.

they should add in a Holo-sim to whereever, (could be on the Normandy, could be on the Citadel, could be on an Alliance base on Earth, because I'm assuming that we will be able to go there) to allow Shep and Co. to train/improve skills. Would allow practice against almost any enemy (Geth, Collectors, Mercs, MECHs, etc....) without doing actual missions. and also have the Sim able to set different difficulty levels outside of the main game's difficulty level. So you could be on Normal and set the sim to "Insanity" and it would play like you were playing the game on insanity.

Here's what I'd like in ME3

1. Improve the planet scanning bit. This got boring pretty fast. Increase the speed of scanning and have some confrontations with the planets you mine. Some of the planets have colonies on them and may not be friendly toward a unknown ship stealing their minerals.

2. Have the characters love interest recruitable. I know there will be some kind of conflict if you have a romance in both Mass Effect games but give us the chance to keep out love interest for missions.

3. Have more dialog interaction with the characters on your ship. Those calibrations Garrus keeps talking about can't be that interesting and include more dialog for your romantic interest.

4. Do something with the Shepard VI

5. Keep the music from ME2. That was awesome.

1.) Allow players to toggle helmets for all characters if their armor sets have helmets.

2.) Armors that can be purchased for all team mates. Kind of weird to see them go in with what looks like casual wear.

3.) Giant end bosses for certain side quests or main missions would be good. Really increases the necessity for heavy weapons.

4.) The return of old team mates like Liara, Wrex etc with the new gang from Mass Effect 2 for that all epic finishing in Mass Effect 3.

That's all I can think of right now.

1- FINAL BOSS MUST BE AN EPIC FIGHT. ME2 boss was way easy to beat and that was very dissapointing. I want the last fight to be very very very hard and epic, even on normal difficulty. I want to be pushed to use heavy weapons, run out of ammo, need to change cover corners frequently, covers blowing away, see my mates falling and still be fighting over 10 minutes to finally beat him and have a big celebration because id beat that boss and it was a great achievement -though test. I want that feeling.

2- LAST CINEMATIC MUST BE LONG, not just 2 minutes.

3- DECISIONS THAT MAKE IMPACT. I really want to see the outcome of those hard decisions i made back in the day, and i want them to make a big difference with the opposite option that was available. It was very dissapointing to save the council to only see a different 1 minute chat secuence and a turian shop assistant that depending on the choise you made is kind or cruel to humans.

you have to reward differently the players depending the path they selected. Not necessarily unbalanced, but make two different roads ending in the same line.

Example: you can, leave cerberus and fight the reapers with the entire alien races united or still be with cerberus but using advanced collectors tech...after reapers one will try to erase aliens and the others the illusive man

4- MAKE EVERY SINGLE SELECTED OPTION COUNT. Just like you did with the omega 4 entrance sequence with the upgrades, this time you must make the same but depending the allies you choose, the rachni outcome, the genophage cure yes or not, quarian war, the geth destroyed or rewrited, collector ship... etc and all decisions you made would be the equivalent of upgrades to the final mission on ME2. Space CGI made battles again would be very welcomed.

Of course the deficit of those choises is the equivalent of a race extintion or a planet completely erased etc. just show reapers true power, show them as nearly undestructible creatures, not just big ships. Manage to Beat just one of the many reapers must be an epic achievement.

5- INCREASE SQUAD CHATTER AND INTERACTION- along the lines of DAO

I fnished the game with my Rengade character yesterday. And all the time I was thinking: "Hey, I'm playing **** racist renegade Shepard. Maybe he actually wants to be part of Cerberus but there are really now "nice" conversation options when dealing with the Illusive Man.

Also, I was playing as an Adept, but I was still using guns a lot. There should be the possibility to completly ignore guns and go all out with powers. Maybe by, not taking guns with you at all, an Adept could use both his hands to control Mass Effect fields. But currently that's not really possible because sometimes you just get rushed by enemies and you can't wait for your Warp to be available again.

btw. I saw screenshots were Shepard was holding a big singularity with both hands, kinda like a Kame Hame Ha. What happened to that move? I upgraded Singularity and Warp to Level 4 and got pretty much all Bionic Upgrades.

This is not quite a “wish” but an issue I’d like to reflect upon: the excessive segmentation of ME2 and how it detracts from role-playing immersion.

This has to do with two different things:

1.      Transition between places: the loading screen vs. the elevator.

2.      «Mission Complete» screen.

The elevator in ME1 was boring sometimes but had a good thing. The fact that you stayed with your character almost all the time made you feel like ME was a real-time ongoing experience, which is a feature common RPGs. In ME2, with the introduction of loading screens, you have a more segmented experience, which is a feature most common with shooter games.

This sense of segmentation is deepened by the fact that playing areas are more linear. I know this issue has been debated extensively, but I’d like to address it in terms of what concerns with the specific aspect of gameplay segmentation.

Many of the main play areas in ME1 were, actually, very linear, like Eden Prime and Therum. Virmire was linear for the most part, but the fact that it was divided in two parts – mako and onfoot action -  and had a lot of story going on in the middle, with the Wrex incident in between, made it feel more complex. Ilos was also very linear, but was so well designed that it actually felt more organic than it really was.

But ME1 also had memorable complex locations like the Citadel, Noveria, and even Feros. There is nothing quite like the Citadel in ME2, I’m sorry to say. Also, missions in ME1 were seamless between exploration phase (the arrival on Feros, for ex.) and combat missions (assault on the Geth base and the Thorian Creeper).

Secondly, as you finished these combat missions, you would go back to the exploration area, without a «Mission
Complete» screen. This screen introduces a sense of level completion in ME2 that somehow feels off from the nature of the game. I’m sure you could have other ways of introducing this information later on, at the Normandy.

Also, in ME2, especially on Dossier missions, you are forced into the debriefing upon completion. I understand this has to do with the specificity of these missions, but it has consequences. For example, in a particular planet there are two dossier missions. Once you complete the first one you are forced into the Normandy for debriefing. If you want to take the second dossier mission, you’ll find yourself navigating in space once again, even though you wanted to stay on that planet to proceed with that mission. It’s not a big deal, but it seems strange.

This is getting long so I’ll conclude. I don’t really know how this issue should be resolved. I certainly don’t want the ME1 elevators back but I would like to see a more continuous experience in Mass Effect 3. The excessive segmentation of ME2 is, in fact, what detracts to me the most from the role playing experience, from the sense of actually being there – more so than specific issues with inventory and customization.

Having said that, I’ll say that ME2 is a wonderful game that I’ll play times on end. Loved the story and all the characters. Congratulations BioWare for bringing so much entertainment and fascination into our lives.

this is not something important but in the game they use ceramics in there armor but i think they should do some research on something that is called super diamonds they r made with a process called CDV or chemical vapor deposition its cool. its something that has only recently been developed the diamonds that they make is actually stronger than natural diamonds and its easy to make them they can also be made in to different shapes.
