A middle/follow-up Boss fight would be great.

I think it'd be awesome to trick us into thinking a certain character (like say "Harbinger") is the main bad guy. Have him antagonizing and fighting the character with his minions through a shell (Like say, an "assumed control of" an 'Avatar'. A "Human-Sized" Geth/Robot/Machine/Reaper thing. Make it looks absoultly demonic too like this: http://fusionfilter....per_bosskei.jpg) and then you manage to take it downw hile it's consciousness or something is inside of it like with Saren's avatar, and then we realize that... Harbinger was being controlled by a higher order of power... ZOMG plottwist! We find out the Reapers are indoctrinated themselves ZOMG but by what... ?

God I hope that's meant to be sarcasm.

Stuff like this is how crap like Pirates of the Carribean 2 and 3, Mummy 2 and 3, and Matrix 2 and 3 get made.

Bigger/More does not necessarily mean better.

And yet so easy to understand, they find that some franchise has
potential, so they want to maximise the profits at any cost, most of
the time, some dude thinks that by making sequels with more BANGS and
less BRAINS might bring more audience ad guess what? it works! even if
by doing so they rape the soul of the franchise.

Management team boss:
"Guys,
we got something that might bring LOTS of money, if we want to get a
wider audience, we need to make things in the game less complicated.

The customers are people that come back at home after a hard day of
work or school, do you think they want to spend some time managing some
inventory? NO! what people want is ACTION! What the player want is
going all guns blazing out and seeing a LOT of explosions, that's kewl
for them and it doesn't involve any brain activity.

Dudes, all
these planets and landscapes are nice, but it's too quiet sometimes,
you don't want it to be quiet, you want NON-STOP action! When you
explore, you don't shoot! when you check for better weapons, you don't
shoot! when you talk to people...YOU DON'T SHOOT!  no shooting = no
sales!

In ME you had a lot of really good ideas but... why
putting everything in one disc? I have an idea guys, first, we 're
going to release a good 'in your face" action game and then we release
some stuff like vehicles for free to appeal the audience and then we
release paying content, don't worry Jim, you will be able to buy that
Ferrari. And in the meantime, our fanbase will appraise us for so much
content we 're giving them.

Allright guys, then let's DO IT !
we're going to get the fat bucks, hell yeah! even Transformers 2 will
seems to be a Gandhi propaganda compared with the epic stuff we're
going to release!

Oh, almost forgot,*insert big cigar in his mouth*, make the explosions BIG and pretty, people always love them, it always sell"

That's how the industry works most of the time, take it or leave it.

I think there will most definatley be people who will be disappointed with ME3, certainly some from this forum and even this thread, the game will be expected to wrap up everything with a big climax and satisfy it's fans. If it was simply another installment it wouldn't be be such a hard game to make as there wouldn't be such a scramble to finish everything.

That said I can't wait, I think Harbinger will be a great baddie and I agree with a point someone else made saying that Earth should be seen, along with that I'd like to see some other home planets, like the Geth/Quarian  homeworld, the homes of  the Turians and Salarians (I didn't mention the Asari because Iilum was quite close to what I'd imagine). I'd like them to feel utterly different to each other. ME2 worlds had some differences but not enough for me, whilst I know they are meant to feel like the same galaxy maybe something like different light filters, differently shaped buildings, funny coloured trees will help The design team looked at sci-fi past for inspiration but perhaps someworld architecture study wouldn't take things too far from their original vision.

I'd like to see more aliens, perhaps some that aren't bipeds? I wouldn't mind some more creatures that were just plain mad looking. Speaking of which, would it be possible to have some rachni missions (depending on the decisions made in previous games of course)?

I think someone else mentioned this but space battles would be pretty cool, I'm guessing this might be a bit too much to ask along with building a whole galaxy so how about something similar on the planet's surface? I'm thinking a mix between the Mako and the hover tank against similar vehicles. I'd also like to see the Prometheans weighing in on the fight, if you think over the storylines of ME1 and 2 this is stil possible!

I'd like the ability totweak my Shepard's look, give him a ifferent hair-cut , a beard-- something, just to give things a feel of the passage of time.

Let's finally meet Admiral Hackett!

Hooking up with girls is grand but why does it only have to be crew members? How about some cheap one night stands on far-flung planets (like, more than one)?

teaming up with some more of the SR1 crew would be nice if only for nostalgia's sake

Finally, let's see what the hell Tali looks like!

I thinks BW should make varied mission's objectives, not just go in clear the area and go. There should be some infiltration missions in which absolute quite is required or more other mission's objectives and requirement to finish them. Missions will take place from day to night, so that we can use night vision not just in day light only in ME 1 & 2. In some cutscenes let Shepard use biotic or muscle to deal with the problem, like smash someone's head into wall, instead of showing guns. With these I think players can find ME 3 even more interesting and than the previous two. Eventhough the suggestions above are likely for action game but I think ME is a mix. IF BW make ME 3 right then it could be a best not only action but RPG game ever made.

This is an RPG. Go play a shooter if you don't like inventories. Besides each ammo upgrade had it uses in ME1.

1. Keep the planet scanning. Introduce an imaging system upgrade that allows you to see resource "hotspots" on the planet surface. For example: while scanning for for platinum you see concentrations of it on the surface, move your crosshairs over the area and launch probe. Same for the other minerals. This would make the whole process faster and more enjoyable.

2. Keep the thermal clips but bring back weapon mods.If people want to use things like frictionless materials and simply spam bullets ,fine, but at the cost of reduced damage. Make ammo powers available for everyone where logical. For example: Garrus isn't biotic so he can't therefore generate warp ammo. Shredder, incendiary, armour piercing, and disruptor are for everyone. Also keep ammo choices in the power wheel.

3. Can we sell some stuff please? Increased shop inventories would also be super. WTF happened to all the other manufacturers in galaxy? I'd like to see items that are only available in the Terminus Systems and vice versa in Council Space. More shops, more goods. There's few too many vendors in both ME and ME2.

4. Squad needs armour. I'll buy it, raid merc shipments for it or better yet, give some of those resources I've been mining to Mordin and he can make us some. Let me select what the squad is going to wear just before the missions start and allow me to customize their armour in the armoury the way i can customize sheps in the capt's quarters. And don't forget to helmet toggle!

5. Keep the load out screen. It's awesome and it make sense. I'm not carrying the huge ass inventory around with me like I did in ME1, thank god. Simply expand ME2's inventory to allow for weapon/armour mods during missions. Don't toss the research system out! Keep it the same!

6. Party banter during missions. See DA:O for details.

7. The ability to "romance" our LI's in varying locations, multiple times throughout the game. For example: Sheps got a shower and he/she can't wash those hard to reach places alone.

8. Don't change the combat. It rocks. Christina Norman, please have my children.

9. No space combat or multiplayer. Never. Ever.

10. Make it HUGE. Like12 disks. I'll settle for 3-5 though.

11. Aria. Just a one nighter or friends with benefits but Shep has got to have something she really wants. Especially for renegade inclined Sheps. Not as a squad mate. Although, if she does turn out to be Aleena, I'd like to see a Wrex meets Aria scene. She almost seems sad during the dialogue that hints of her being Aleena, I want to know why.

12. Some sort of freaky, alien death critter for the aquarium. Sunfish are nice but I want some as before never seen ugly, dangerous mini sea monster.

13. Some open area, sandbox style planets like in ME1. I want to explore again. I know the Hammerhead is coming, but I'd like to see some ruins, bizzare landscapes and barren worlds. So many times have I scanned a planet and thought " I wish I could land there." Let us land there and explore! Example: Preying Mouth, Armeni or Junthor and nameless others!

14. If the Normandy needs fuel then we must also have to discharge the drive core. On the planets that are suitable for discharge, make missions or random battles at some of the planets that have travel advisories. If there's a pirate, geth or mercenary warning let us take the risk and sometime be rewarded (punished) with glorious fighting! Also some random exploration of mysterious planets (Preying Mouth) while discharging would also be amazing. Just take the Hammerhead for a spin or head out on foot and check things out..

15. Bring back the ability to board the Normandy without having to leave orbit everytime. If I want to leave, I'll hit up the galaxy map. Airlocks and elevators. Loved 'em. Airlocks would be nice to have again. Felt so seemless.

16. Open concept areas in some environments. I understand why the Presidium was off limits in ME2 but lets have it back for ME3 as well as something like an expanded Illium (maybe the streets groundside) . It be oh so very awesome to be walking around on street level, looking up at the huge towers. Expand all existing locales that exist within ME and ME2. More Omega, Citadel, Port Hanshan, Illium etc. Bigger, more.

BioWare, ARE YOU READING THIS? You better be reading this!
Loved almost everything. I only have my doubts about the load out screen (5). Not a big fan. But if all else becomes this good, who cares about the load out screen anyway.
Oh, as for 7, as much as I find it amusing, maybe it would be... too much romance. I mean, come on, there's a cosmic menace out there and your LI's washing your back?

O ya yes I like I like

forget what i said this guy is on to something, just add my enginer idea for a "pet" combat robot and I will be a happy camper

My dreams for ME3 :

Tali : I want her in my team like in ME1 and 2 , oh and continue the romance option with her .

Garrus : Same as tali .

A canderous ordo like caracter ie : ZAEED MASSANI ( want him but with a deeper storyline ) .

That's it fo my caracter wishlist !

Gameplay wise : A better weapon system IE : in ME there was toooooo much useless weapons that all looked the same , but you can customize the with upgrades ( that was great ) . In ME2 tooooo few weapons and no way to customize them to your needs :( .

Keep the ME2 ammo feature that was great ( i hated the INFINITE ammo in ME1 ) .

Return us the Mako , make all areas like citadel , omega BIGGER .

Just for me :) = Return to ilos ...loved Ilos .

LOTS of endings , i mean lots and lots of them .

Another one just for me : name shepard's hamster MINSC i know that's stupid .

And all the other ideas in this thread .

I want just one thing.

I saved the original Council and saw these hypocrites thinking Shepard to be crazy in ME2.

So I want a moment with them when they realize everything. And not just "oh we were wrong bla-bla" speech. I need an epic scene of turian councilor dropping his jaw.

Oh, and renegade Shepard mocking his "ah yes, reapers" phrase. Even imagining this makes me laugh.

For Mass Effect 3 we need vehicles, (possibly the new hover tank Bioware are bringing out) and space missions. You can't have a sci-fi game without space battles. I agree with Earth should be a explorable planet and bring back the Citadel. I was well disappointed when I couldn't wander around the citadel as much as last time. We need more explorable planets in general. Ones where there is civilisation and not just side missions that dont mean anything. Also, for the Mass Effect 3, I think there should be an alliance with the geth, with Legion (if he survived) as their leader.

Cant believe i forget to suggest that!!! Yes, where the fuk are all females :o
Thats a serious minus with mass effect series. Sure we get to see one Krogan female, BUT with helmet. And female as well male from quarians but they have helmets as well. Thats why I hate the quarian race, its seems so little effort has been put down into that race visualy. Its a real shame, because they do have one of the better race-stories, but you cant really bond with the race due to the fact that all look alike besides some different colours on their armors/suits...
Anyway, please Bioware, make more females in mass effect 3. I can accept that there are no children but that there are no visible females out on the street in omega for example (for most races)... Thats plain silly!

PS: Where are the Elcor female? And does it actualy LOOK female, or is it just voiced as one??? Shame on Bioware if thats the case.

Also, we want:

1. To see females for other species and males for asari
2. Bring back the elevator (without loading screen)
3. Bring back the airlock (without loading screen. i.e. don't have to leave planet to board normandy)
4. Interaction with the Council
5. More exploration on Citadel, Omega (even bring back Noveria etc.)
6. Meeting with the Rachni (if let live in ME1)
7. Zaeed's revenge on Blue Sun's (if survived ME2)
8. Reunion with characters from ME1 (if survived)
9. More romance options (i.e. not just the one place. Someone mentioned stuff like a shower)

I think I said this in another one, but possibly an alliance with the geth with Legion (if survived ME2) as their leader.

Also, use the Omega 4 relay somehow. Like they manage to reprogram it so their ships can go past but the Reaper's can't AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T DO IT SO THAT SOME STUPID WEAPON SUDDENLY APPEARS THAT CAN DESTORY REAPER'S WITH ONE SHOT.

At the end of ME2, we have thousands of Reaper's appearing, so we want some desperate struggle against them. Not a kill them in one shot.

P.S. Has anyone noticed that the Illusive Man's eyes (at least on the Xbox 360) look mechanical. Maybe he's a tool of the Reaper's. That would be interesting.

Are you out of your mind "slyguy07"... He didnt say say that inventories as a whole is bad, he just pointed out the massive UNNECESSARY inventory in Mass Effect 1, and that the items were hard to figure out, since there are way to many upgrades/equipment etc etc The inventory system in Mass Effect 1 had flaws without a doubt and I personaly believe that they turned it into something much more realistic and smoother in Mass effect 2. I vouch for Mass effect 2 "inventory" or a much more upgraded version of Mass Effects 1 inventory, with a LOT less items available. Come on having 50+ items at the same time lowers the immersion... Also in Mass Effect 2 the items actualy looked differently if used by character. I rather take fewer items that all look different visualy, rather than 500 items that all look the same (almost).
Besides, a large inventory does not define if a game is rpg or not, its mostly just a plus (if its made right). If you play rpg (as you state) you should know that...

I would simply like to see them add more depth to the system now in place. I like the idea of researching upgrades for your guns, but let the player pick and choose different options instead of unlocking exactly the same options every playthrough. There have been many good ideas to implement this over the course of this thread.

I would like to see some of the options you made actually affect the game world itself. A renegade should be treated differently than a paragon by the characters he encounters. A biotic Shepard should be treated differently than a soldier Shepard(in cutscenes and dialogue) Little touches like that would make my experience different on multiple playthroughs.

Try to find a way to make cover more an option than a requirement. Every battle felt the same after a while.

I have come to like some of the design choices I didn't at first, but I still feel that more depth and customization is needed.
