Yeah, I did the same.  However, I didn't have to be too rude to Ashley.  I turned her down first once she asked me about Liara, and then turned Liara down.  It worked out better in the end; I was afraid I was going to have to get mean.

I'll stay faithful for no other reason than the way I was raised makes me hesitate to have my character cheat even in a game.

I plan on doing all combinations eventually, but my "canon" Shep will romance Miranda and Miranda only. I seem to be in the minority, but I really liked her. Planning on doing a Renegade "do what must be done" female with Kaidan and Thane romances.



If there's some kind of bonus for staying faithful to the ME1 LI, I hope there's also content for staying faithful to your ME2 LI as well, if they survived. Have whoever you romanced dramatically run into your arms and kiss you during the ending movie or something.

I would say the ME1 romances were nice, especially for their time.  One of the first major video games to include sex.  And have it viewed in gameplay.  It was intimate and tasteful.

As it turns out, my female Shepard will be staying faithful, but only because I found flirting with Jacob incredibly awkward. All I could think was, "This is wrong, this is so wrong." I can't quite put my finger on what specifically was so awkward, but I felt it and it was painful. As for Garrus or Thane...I didn't think my Shepard wasn't attracted to aliens. So, I'm going the no-mance path.

I flew solo in ME1, always had a crush on Garrus so obviously I picked him in ME2. If he is a LI in ME3 then I'll have no problem at all staying faithful

My ManShep from ME1 didn't romance anyone, because he liked Tali. He romanced Tali in ME2, and he's going to stay faithful to her in ME3 no matter what.

My FemShep from ME1 romanced Kaiden but left him on Virmire. I'm only about halfway through ME2 with her, so I don't know who she's going to romance, Garrus or Thane.

Faithful? Ashley/Kaidan and Liara are practically BEGGING you to break up with them when you meet them. Are those characters seriously so high-strung that they won't help out a longtime friend against a major threat to the galaxy, when they've ALREADY DONE SO in the past?



At least Wrex had a viable reason for not being able to join. The others didn't join for their own selfish reasons/opinions. The only positive that came out of their actions was that it actually DID encourage me to pursue something else. Bioware did a great job of making it seem like your past relationship just b*tchslaps you in the face.

According to a post the Devs made today, they do keep track of you inviting Stripper Kelly over on your save file. So don't be surprised if it comes up in ME3.

I liked Liara, but she was gone and on some revenge trip that she didn't even skip a beat when she saw me, she did turn into her mother, so I went with the extremely hot Ozzie Miranda, and man that lingerie....

In my second play through I used a character that romanced Ash, she was much more shocked and emotional about seeing me and the email after Horizon was great so I am staying faithfull to her on this one.
