well my "main" Shep is a fem shep.. who romanced Liara... so I really had no choice, although she gets plenty of intercom booty call action from Kelly.



My male shepards, well got one I'm sticking with Tali and another with Jack. Both paragons. Renegade is fun sometimes, but not always choosing renegade.. I don't enjoy running around the galaxy playing as someone I wanna punch in the face myself. I just choose renegade when I feel it's deserved and necessary according to my own opinions. =)

Different Shepards, different ways:



My canon female Shepard (Engineer in ME1 and ME2, mostly Paragon) stayed single in ME1 and ME2 both, lacking interesting human characters to attach herself to.



My canon male Shepard (Vanguard in ME1, adept in ME2, mostly Renegade in ME1, switching to mostly Paragon in ME2 but keeping his Cerberus-compatible - or so it proves in ME2 - agenda) had Ashley in ME1 but simply can't resist Miranda, especially in the light of Ashley now distrusting his choices.



My renegade female Shepard was attached to Kaidan, but left him on Virmire so she's single in ME2 as well. I don't recall if my paragon Infiltrator Shepard, also female, had a romance in ME1. She'll remember.

My canon Shep was flirting with Garrus but decided not to ruin wrecking the friendship for what could have turned out as an awkward, final one-night-stand.



SO either she'll wait for Kaidan or we'll see if the Garrus strand gets picked up again in ME3. But I get a feeling this one's for Alenko.

I think the devs made the ME1 LI as unappealing as they thought they possibly could get away with to try and force as many of the ME2 LI as they could.



Think about some of the dialog with possible LI in ME2 and how some of it was forced on you even if you wanted nothing to do with it, it's all pretty obvious, and it lets them pat them selves on the back.

Staying faithful to Liara

My main character that will be going through to ME3 stayed faithful to Kaidan. I did do a couple of playthroughs where I romanced Thane, & Jacob, (just to see what the ME2 romances were like) but felt so guilty when I saw Kaidans photo face down on the desk that I deleted them, lol.

Staying faithful in my only real playthrough, for all the good it might get me (and ignoring romance on any disposable playthroughs, so ME2 is a "romanceless" game for me).

If all it alters is another cameo role come ME3 though, Ill be sure to pass.

I'm staying faithful but it is from the most part caused by the fact that fem/fem LIs in the sequel are virtually non-existant.

I've played a few ME1 games without any romantic involvement. If I recall correctly, you can tell any possible ME1 LI you're not interested. I can remember that with Liara, and with Kaidan. If everything else fails, you can always leave your "involuntary LI" on Virmire if it isn't Liara.

Well...

I got an awkward welcome by Liara and a hostile response from Ash. When the ice queen melted I fell for her charms. I'm going on a suicide mission that can easily decide the fate of humanity. That's a lot of stress for one person to handle, so I went for Miranda to blow off some steam. Nobody explicitly said 'love' and I'm not sure what's happening next.

Liara is too busy hunting down the shadow broker and I'm not sure if my Shepard is still alive by the time she found her peace (Asari have a different feeling of time I assume). Ash made clear what she thinks of my helping Cerberus, but I never really liked that mad racist anyway. If Miranda want to go on great, maybe we figure something out. If not also ok, there are many fish in the galaxy.

Yeah, I'm playing Renegade ;-)

Screw Ashley aka Horseface aka Horse-human hybrid, she was just for an achievement in the first game, I also picked her cuz Liara just wasn't for me.... But YAY In ME2 I got Miranda and told Ashley to go screw herself.

I hope in ME3 We can have a catfight between your romances, so i could shoot Ashley in the leg, even though i'm paragorn.

My male Shep romanced Ash every playthrough of ME1, but the devs made her Horizon conversation so unappealling that I switched to Miranda.

I really hope there aren't any major repercussions for "cheating" (I don't think it counts as cheating if it's 2 years later and you're no longer together but whatever). I tried doing a non-romantic run through of ME1 but it didn't work out. I told Liara at every turn that I wasn't interested and at one point just stopped talking to her all together because she kept on acting like we were in a relationship. But who showed up to sleep with me right before Ilos? Ridiculous how easy it was for Liara to end up as LI even when you're trying to avoid it.



When she shows up in ME3 she better not complain about me "cheating" on her with my ME2 LI. I want an option that explains we never slept together, it's been over 2 years, she brushed me off to chase the Shadow Broker, and it's time to get over it,
