I've played a few ME1 games without any romantic involvement. If I recall correctly, you can tell any possible ME1 LI you're not interested. I can remember that with Liara, and with Kaidan. If everything else fails, you can always leave your "involuntary LI" on Virmire if it isn't Liara.Snowraptor wrote...
I DONT think you really get a choice, i was forced to have an me 1 romance, plus i always wanted tali, so **** that, its not my fault its biowares
In ME1 I specifically told Liara I wasn't interested (she even commented how embarressing it all was and asked to change the subject). The very next conversation she was talking to me like we were in a relationship. I reloaded and decided not to talk to her AT ALL from that point because I was worried the game would also think we were in a relationship.
She still showed up in my quarters before Ilos. I turned her offer of sleeping together down so I thought I was safe when it came to heading into ME2 with no love interests.
However in ME2 Liara's picture is in my Shepard's quarters. And when I reunited with her on Ilium the first thing she did was kiss me.
So I agree with Snowraptor. I was forced to have a romance in ME1 so I really don't want to hear anything about "cheating" with my ME2 LI in ME3.

I've never had trouble remaining single in ME1 any time I've attempted it, whether male, female, Paragon, or Renegade.

Guess something happened to her in her quest of searching for "my" carcass.
I was going to "cheat" on her with Kelly, but when I started the last mission and my femShep looked at the picture of Liara on the desk, I couldn't bring myself to do it

"cheated" on Ashley (with Jack) - didn't want to at first, but after I met Ashley on Horizon....even the e-mail couldn't help her after what she pulled on Horizon...

Created a whole new single Shep to go for a game with Miranda as love interest, so no cheating there, and my lady Shep is going to be faithful to Kaiden.

I will say though, I was a little disappointed with how Liara reacted to me when I met her again. I really feel like the ME1 characters could have had a few more lines of dialogue to show how they felt with my "death".

My soldier is faithfull to Liara and my adept is to Ashley. My vanguard is doing Tali as we speech but that was what he was made for.
Yeah, I will make a Shep or two later to try out the other relationships as I did already with Miranda (I like her the most from ME2 choices). But I will try Tali too. Her missions were great, but I think I'll try all of the romances to experience them for myself.

Is there anything related to Tali in ME Redemption?
not so far at least, and I highly doubt there will be. It seems to focus on Omega and Tali is far from there, plus she's not linked to the story arc in any way. Secondly there is only two issues left, so there most likely won't be any sign of her.

I planned on being faithful to Liara, but I somehow flirted a little too much with Jack & Tali and found my frame turned down in my cabin, so I'm guessing I screwed up. lol. I bedded Tali because she was so cute and bashful, but I do plan on doing another playthrough with the same character and not sleeping around that time.![]()

In response to you, a lot of Liara faithfuls had a hard time NOT thinking she was heartless (no thanks to BioWare), but if you are really a Liara faithful, there was a dialog that was very easily missed by many, because of the way BioWare set up her dialog wheel choices. So it was way too easy to miss one interrogation option that caused her to break down. She confesses some things to you. If you look in the Liara threads there is a link provided to show you the scene and dialog choice on youtube, sorry I don't have the link and I'm at work. But if you were a tad thrown off by Liara in ME2, BioWare made it quite easy to miss out on breaking her down and getting what has to be the most important dialog choice for those who love Liara in ME2. For most it was the difference in cheating and staying faithful, although I would have been faithdul regardless-just saying, lol.

Hmm, interesting! I will need to see if I can find it and hopefully see a little bit of the loveable Liara I was so interested in from ME1. Thanks for the heads up!

It's no problem at all, I made it my job to help fellow Liara fans. In particular fellow Liara fans who were as sad as I was when I first came across her.
If that scene doesn't warm your heart again for Liara, I'd be hugely surprise. She almost cries it seems and that actually shattered my heart. You'll see, I won't spoil it for you.
But that's why I'm not sure why BioWare set up her dialog like that, cause many people just have brushed Liara off as some angry crazy lady due to her "change". The thing is it's hard to really argue her cause for people who only seen that side of her. But either way, now you know, so that is one more Liara fan helped.
