I agree with the idea of aleena being aria.
But people keep bringing up this idea that matriarch aethyta (illium bartender) is liara's father. Why? She never said anything about liara, and saying she had a pureblood daughter isn't enough evidence for it to be her.
Actually I just remembered that video in the shadowbroker's base. Is that really Liara in the picture she's looking at? If so, then I guess her being the daughter is plausible, it just seems strange that they are only a few feet apart from each other and never meet up. Are they purposefully avoiding each other? Would Liara even recognize aethyta as her father/mother?

Raising the Dead on this Thread!!
Playing the games again, on ME 2 now and just listened to the "Better Luck Next Time". I came here and searched, and found this.

If Wrex and Aria joined forces and started kicking Reaper' ass, it would be pretty damn awesome. Both are influential leaders who possess as much cunning as combat experience and their first meeting during the Reaper war would certainly be something to look at.

It's hard to ignore all the facts.
In fact you'd have to go out of your way not to connect the dots.

Well, there is no smoking gun. Also it is very common place for Asari to become mercaneries. That job does entail gaining a lot of enemies. Some to avoid at all cost.
don't forget there are a lot of asari in Mass effect universe. So we could have bump into her and didn't realize that she was a minor character.
The Asari Bartender is just as likely to be Aleena as Aria. Sometimes blending two unrelated characters is not a good idea.
There were a lot of speculation that Banes from Mass Effect 1 was involved in Cerberus if not TIM.
A lot of plot points that might not be solved.

Yeah this is an old thread, but to all you idiots that said Aria is not Aleena. It was confrimed febuary 2003 by the writer of Aria's plot from MA2. You guys need to learn to connect dots or you aren't smart enough for these types of games.

we are smart enough to connect the dots. Also Posting in a Year old thread is bad form. And Insulting people is also bad form. Also I don't think that ME2 and ME1 were out before 2003.
Side Note: Aria being Aleena is a netural issue at best. It doesn't make Aria a better character to have a connection to Wrex.

lol Make youself feel better by not being able to see the obvious. When playing a game you must remember one thing. It isnt random like real life. If it is in there. It is for a reason. Yeah I was rude and sorry. Was in a bad mood yesturday and took it out on these forums because it was what I was reading. It also does make her into a better character. It adds depth

I, for one, am glad this was necro'd. I've somehow never run across this theory and enjoyed having seen it. Gotta say...it fits pretty well. So thanks!
