I can't continue any of my saves because it says my account doesn't have the appropriate DLC's (it shows up 4 in a list).
Then I checked my DLC menu and at installed it says "(Unauthorized)" on 4 DLC's except the Blood Armour one.
I have 2 preorder ring DLC's, Blood Armour, Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep (this one I bought).

I could load my saves fine untill now and the DLC's have been on my account since I started playing.
Though I have to mentoin I just did a Defragmentation before I booted my game now, could this have possibly caused it? And if so, how can I fix it?

EDIT: and I'm still logged in on the correct Bioware account.

Okay I think I found a solution. I went to the configurator and repair then cleared the download cache and it loads now.

Ok it works now for some reason, guess I didn't press my left mouse button hard enough the first time (could as well give a confirmation message of the cache being cleared).

This issue is resolved, thread can be locked if required.

Log out and exit the game. Start the game up again and log in, the DLC will no longer be unauthorized. However, after exiting back to the menu from in-game, it will again be unauthorized. Repeat the process to continue playing. Atleast that works for me.

I'm having the same issue. I installed last night, redeemed my codes, and played a fair bit into the game- now I can't load and continue playing because two of the DLCs are now listed as "unauthorized." They show up in my online profile, but not in the game itself, and clearing the download cache has no effect whatsoever.

This needs patching. Sooner rather than later.

You can't play unauthorized? Odd, i can load my games just fine, despite it saying that on my DLC.

Thanks for your input, but it doesn't seem to work for me.
I really hope I'll be able to get this fixed within the next 30 minutes or I'm again losing my gaming evening.

Guess it depends on what content you have activated in your game? Paid stuff like Shale and Wardens keep might stop you from loading but the free pre-order stuff might work fine.

I would guess its a server issue where it just can't communicate with the server. I read about other people going into the services list and manually activating the DAO service. Maybe search for that?

Too bad that the search function of this forum isn't working.

-Right-click on "My Computer" and click "Manage"
-Click "Services and Applications" or just "Services" depending on your version of Windows.
-Find the "Dragon Age: Origins Updater" service in the list and select it. Click the "Start Service" button at the top. Click "Restart Service" if the service is already running.

This should fix you up.

There's also a patch out for the game, I recommend installing it.

I found "Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater", but there is nothing I can do with it, all the start/restart/stop/etc. options are greyed out.

EDIT: and I already have the 1.01 patch installed, even played a while after I installed it without a problem.

Set daorigins.exe to run as admin. This seems to solve this particular problem.

Ok finally got it to work, I figured out how to get the method of NSMike working and appearantly it fixed it.

Thanks all for the input.

And Ragadurn: I got the admin thing turned off, so I can't run as admin.
