Nopes, it wasn't, until I reverted back to original install, the exe alone being reverted didn't do it.

There is also some tie to your save file with DLC, so if you try and use a save again after applying say the firewalker DLC, and you revert your install, it won't let you use the save anymore.

Although I haven't run into issues by extracting the archive for the DLC and manually extracting it to the games DLC folder and then running giveme2entitlements.

Also, I'm going through the tint colours for armour and wanted your suggestions on a range of colours, the default ones are rubbish.

There are light greens (horrid) and yellows (even more horrid) that make me think what were you thinking bioware.

I'm thinking dark or neutral colours mostly, medium - dark blues, black, white, medium green - dark greens, medium - dark reds, some darker pinks in there as well.

Any other colour suggestions?

Ok, this might just be me, but has anyone been able to mod appearances with 1.1 from the DLC installed? Because everything I tried just wouldn't show, it had the extra slot, but original clothing was there instead.

Have you remembered to use this:
bUseBackgroundLevelStreaming=False

?

LOL, thanks for trying to help there, but Dilmonen and I toppled that problem over 10 pages back, if you use the armor locker mod we co-perfected you can load any outfit anywhere, without the need to mess with that setting.

No, the issue was with the 1.1 patch, seemingly it adds something else other than the 1.1 exe, that, or there are some changes to how things are handled, as appearance mods did not work for me after updating to it.

EDIT:

Actually, I'd like to make a request of you Texmodders out there...

Kelly's cabin outfit (the sexy purplish one), I wonder if anyone would mine making me a black version of that particular outfit, I wish to use it as a casual.

Thanks!

So the armor locker mod no longer works? That sucks.

Seemingly so, at least on 1.1. Haven't had the opportunity to fully test but I tried to add a new outfit after applying the firewalker dlc normally, and the extra slot just appeared as a default outfit, whereas when I tried it on 1.0, it works fine.

Although I need to test whether the workaround to extract and install the firewalker dlc manually actually works as intended, where are the missions for it?

Eh? I'm using the Armor Locker mod and it works just fine for me. I have the Firewalker DLC too.

That's confusing then, because I included everything necessary, even checked inside the PCC file for the outfit reference, loaded the right file, had the appearance listed correctly, and it wouldn't work, and this was on a fresh install.

I helped perfect the darn locker mod so I don't believe I missed anything...

I hate it when games you mod throw you curveballs like this, I must have missed something.

Darn haven't been following the thread for a while.

Armor Locker mod? Same thing Narf teased us with? You made it possible?
Could you fill me in on this or give me a link to it? By PM preferably.
(You should prolly post a link to your site as a sig too)

Yup, the same thing NarfGarg teased us with.

Its on page 90, my 3rd post down, Dilmonen introduced it, I simplified and perfected it, as perfected as it could be anyways lol.

Anyone manage to get bump maps to load correctly with TexMod? All other textures work, but bump info is coming from somewhere that TexMod isn't reading, for me (yes, I did screenshot the bump map, edit it, and load it in)

Also, with the 1.01 patch, I am also able to load NPCs over my PC on any mission map using the armor locker.

Hmmm, thanks for letting me know RShara, not sure where that went wrong to be honest, it was nothing apparent to me regardless.

Since you use Texmod, fancy taking on my request? lol

Oh there it is.  A dark Kelly outfit?  Sure.  I don't play a maleshep, so Id on't have the texture at hand.  If you send it to me, I can color it what you'd like :)

I'm not yet at that section so I'm afraid I don't have it, I haven't extracted any textures yet, I'll get around to it.

Auto Control Texmod?

Trying to create an auto run .bat (batch) file that will load my Texmod.exe + my selected tpf's & then directly launch ME2 with the tpf's running. I have not got very far. Only as far as launching texmod via a .bat file. But can't get the game to lock in on Texmod & must manually input it as well as the TPF's when running via a .bat file. Is there anyway to make a .BAT file that will auto do this? I'm sorry but I don't know squat about .bat programming Texmod.

Silver is an obvious armor color that's missing.

Also, a nice deep purple would be nice---Decepticon purple.  We've got kind of a metallic purple-blue, and a "deep lavender" but no basic purple.

Heres what I have so far:

Texmod.exe, E:\\Program Files\\Mass Effect 2\\Mass Effect 2\\Binaries, MassEffect2.exe
load No Death Veins.tpf, E:\\Program Files\\Mass Effect 2\\Mass Effect 2\\Binaries
MassEffect2.exe; E:\\Program Files\\Mass Effect 2\\Mass Effect 2\\Binaries,load No Death Veins.tpf
Pause
echo

It loads Texmod but nothing shows up. Have to reset it to ME2 & the tpf's I want to enable.
Anyone got any ideas or should I give up now?

I take it that texmod has no command line switches you can take advantage of via shortcut?

By the way, if no-one had realised, you can use multiple onlyloadlevel commands if you use a text file to do it, as with the armor locker mod. You just need to add a step, binding with exec to loading.txt, which will have an exec at the end to gui_armor_locker.txt

loading.txt would contain:

OnlyLoadLevel BioD_Nor_002CabinKelly

OnlyLoadLevel BioH_Vixen_01

Exec gui_armor_menu.txt

With that and the necessary outfit references in Coalesced.ini I was able to load an outfit from both of those files, namely kellys sexy cabin outfit and mirandas loyalty uniform.

Well this is how silver turned out, looks white to me lol, used the exact silver RGB values as well.

Image IPB

EDIT: Imageshack seems to have used a little compression on it, it's not as high quality as it looks in-game lol.

No, but I found something via Guild Wars forum which allows texmod bypass of  having to go deep into computer directory to pull the exe file for texmod everytime. Still working on adding the mods but if I can succeed may not need to even push a button. Just need to work on converting it to Mass Effect 2.

Good luck with that, I'm about halfway through cataloguing the bonuses for the tech names for the manager I'm building.

Pretty much be same as my weapon manager, except that it will let you pick and choose which tech/research bonuses you want to add, and will also let you manipulate the actual bonus values.

Thankyou,
That sounds very interesting! I be on the look for it.

I just finished reconfiguring it to Mass Effect 2. And what do you know It auto selected everything I set in Texmod and launched directly into ME2! Made me feel like a ghost was operating my computer!:OAfter I polish it up I will go ahead and upload this Texmod bypass. Which could be later today or tomorrow. Anyways I'm tired now, going to hit the sack and fall right through.
