I just got an ATI 5770, and notice very little performance drop when loading ME2 through TexMod. My fps usually stay above 30, and normally maxed out even with PS, TexMod, and Fraps running. The few times it drops, I close TexMod or Fraps and it jumps right up.
Don't know much about ATI cards:?, had 4 but each fried when trying to overclock.
My FPS fix is mainly for Nvidia Geforce graphic cards before the 8800 GT. (7600GT / 8600GTS for me)

Ray Joel Oh, I don't think npc heads will load on Shepard's body on the Normandy, at least not by modifying an ini file. For this to work i'm going to assume that the pcc files would have to be modded, similar to model swaps that i've done in other games before. There aren't any programs that allow to repack pcc files after extracting them though unless I just haven't seen any yet. The other potential problem would be that the game would just go to a default model/texture if the one it wanted was not loaded.
It is possible, actually. By setting the casual wear as a blank dummy entry, you can force it to load your armor on the Normandy, including whatever head you've set as a helmet.
Here, I did it with Miranda. You can see her mouth is kind of pinched, though.

Modding - Armor -
-Open the Coalesced.ini [...\\\\\\\\Mass Effect 2\\\\\\\\BioGame\\\\\\\\Config\\\\\\\\PC\\\\\\\\Cooked] with notepad++
search for SFXGame.SFXPawn_Player
-in this guide i will add one of the casual looks for normal gameplay and give her some stats. Go to line 4082 press ctrl + D
-change the CasualAppearances= into FullBodyAppearances=
-scroll to the right before the ,PlotFlag=-1) add ,GameEffects=("SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_PowerBelt")
I figure it has something with the FullBodyAppearances ? Or the powerbelt?

You guys are awesome with what you've put together.
I have a question, is it normal that the miranda uniform clip (neck poking out funny) at the back of Sheperd's neck?
I don't believe that can be fixed, it'd be simple enough with a sdk to work with but I don't think we'll see that for me2.

If it works for you then that's good, I never thought to try having a dummy line for casual wear.

For some reason it's the combination that breaks things. Did anybody ever find the ID for his undamaged armor? Or for his DLC armor? Maybe those would work?

Do you have the steps to do this? I couldn't find it in this massive thread.

I'm usually an NVidia fan, but price vs performance, the ATI's won this round. I had an 8800 until a few weeks ago, ran everything great for years. But the AA clipping was just driving me batty, so I finally upgraded (a week before NVidia released ME2 compatible .drivers of course)
AA clipping? You mean Anti-Aliasing?
My 7600GT had slowly been dieing for months. It showed no signs of inpending death. I could just somehow sense it.
You bought the ATI card? Then drivers for Nvidia card released? Bummer:(

If you use a binding you can set this command:
GiveEffectWithValue Self SFXGameEffect_Gear_StimulatorConduits 001.0000
That is for the stimulator conduits that modify storm speed, usually 10% if I remember, using that command will actually double your storm speed, if you check out the YouTube link in my signature, it shows it in action.
Just change the stimulator conduits for some other armor bonus and modify as such with the value.

Someone modifying storm speed?

So let's say you want to play as Miranda.
First thing we want to do is make a bunch of dummy settings for the body parts. This way whatever armor we wear won't be superimposed over Shepard's body parts.
In the coalesced editor, add the following settings under BIOGame-> [SFXGAME.SFXPawn_Player]
ShoulderAppearances=(Id=500,Type=CustomizableType_Shoulders,PlotFlag=-1)
ArmAppearances=(Id=500,Type=CustomizableType_Arms,PlotFlag=-1)
LegAppearances=(Id=500,Type=CustomizableType_Legs,PlotFlag=-1)
CasualAppearances=(Id=500,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,PlotFlag=-1)
Under BIOEngine-> [Engine.PackagesToAlwaysCook] add the following settings so Miranda's features will always be available to be loaded regardless of where you are and whether she is present.
SeekFreePackage=BioH_vixen_00
SeekFreePackage=BioH_END_vixen_00
SeekFreePackage=BioH_vixen_01
SeekFreePackage=BioH_END_vixen_01
To make her features available to be worn as armor, add the following settings under BIOGame-> [SFXGame.SFXPawn_Player]
TorsoAppearances=(Id=1060,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMF_MIR_LGT_R.LGTa.HMF_MIR_LGTa_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMF_MIR_LGT_R.LGTa.HMF_MIR_LGTa_MDL"),PlotFlag=-1)
TorsoAppearances=(Id=1061,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMF_MIR_LGT_R.LGTa.HMF_MIR_LGTa_MDL",MaleMaterialOverride="BIOG_HMF_MIR_LGT_R.LGTb.HMF_MIR_LGTb_MAT_1a",Female="BIOG_HMF_MIR_LGT_R.LGTa.HMF_MIR_LGTa_MDL",FemaleMaterialOverride="BIOG_HMF_MIR_LGT_R.LGTb.HMF_MIR_LGTb_MAT_1a"),PlotFlag=-1)
HelmetAppearances=(Id=1061,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMF_HED_PROMorph_R.PROMiranda.HMF_HED_PRO_Miranda_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMF_HED_PROMorph_R.PROMiranda.HMF_HED_PRO_Miranda_MDL",bHasBreather=true,bHideHair=true,bHideHead=true),PlotFlag=-1)
The first entry is her regular outfit, the second entry is her loyalty outfit, and the third entry is her head and hair.
To make her body available to be worn as casualwear, add the following settings under BIOGame->[SFXGame.SFXPawn_Player]
CasualAppearances=(Id=1060,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMF_MIR_LGT_R.LGTa.HMF_MIR_LGTa_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMF_MIR_LGT_R.LGTa.HMF_MIR_LGTa_MDL"),PlotFlag=-1)
CasualAppearances=(Id=1061,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMF_MIR_LGT_R.LGTa.HMF_MIR_LGTa_MDL",MaleMaterialOverride="BIOG_HMF_MIR_LGT_R.LGTb.HMF_MIR_LGTb_MAT_1a",Female="BIOG_HMF_MIR_LGT_R.LGTa.HMF_MIR_LGTa_MDL",FemaleMaterialOverride="BIOG_HMF_MIR_LGT_R.LGTb.HMF_MIR_LGTb_MAT_1a"),PlotFlag=-1)
The first entry is her regular outfit and the second entry is her loyalty outfit (correct me if I'm wrong).
At this point I believe the coalesced is in a good enough state for you to be able to go planetside as Miranda (after you do some edits to your save file, which I'll explain in a moment.) But if you want to be able to walk around the Normandy as Miranda, you first need to make a very annoying change.
Under BIOEngine-> [Engine.Engine] change the setting of bUseBackgroundLevelStreaming from its default state of "true" to "false." This will make your load times slower and will screw up sounds on the Normandy (sometimes it will come back, but it's pretty erratic). But! It will make it possible for you to walk around the Normandy as Miranda, or as your Shepard in Miranda's outfit.
Rebuild the coalesced file, and then load up your save game in Gibbed's Mass Effect 2 save editor.
Under Squad-> Player-> Appearance, enter the following values to blank them out with the dummy settings we made earlier
Arm ID - 500
Leg ID - 500
Shoulder ID - 500
Now to set it so your character is wearing Miranda's body and head as armor. Enter the following values for (what I think is) her standard outfit.
Full Body ID - 1060
Helmet ID - 1061
Torso ID - 1060
If you want to wear Miranda's outfit around the Normandy with Shepard's head, enter the value 1060 for Casual ID. However, if you want to wear her body and head inside the Normandy, enter the value Casual ID 500. Setting a dummy value for your Casual ID will make it so the game loads your armor instead. Since we're setting Miranda's head and body as armor, that means you can wear them inside.
Under Misc-> StreamingRecords_A, set stream_vixen_00 to True.
Finally, in order to make it so you can wear Miranda's head without your own head and hair clipping through it, under Squad-> Player->Appearance->Morph Head, delete the information next to "Hair Mesh." Then under the Toolbox tab, use Head Morph Fun Stuff to shrink your head. Save the file (I recommend saving it under a new save file, just in case) and when you open it up in the game, you should look like Miranda.
Let me know how it goes.

Ok, what if I'm not using bindings, can I just edit the stats? Or no?
You can't directly edit the effect, only change its value with the command, hence binding required.

Yup, me
Is this not easier:
[SFXGame.SFXGame]
StormStamina=7.0
StormRegen=7.6
StormStaminaNonCombat=7.5
StormRegenNonCombat=7.375
Heard 7 was a good number to use.
