Is there a way to edit the ini file so you could look like thane, or grunt.

-maybe adds a casual outfit and armor that looks like them??-

Has or can someone make a mod or ini that keeps the omni-tool visible all the time or at least for a long time. (think it will be cool for my Engineer)

And a mod or ini to keep the biotic glow effect on all the time. (Cool look for the adept or vanguard.)

I know the game has code for these two things to happen, as it is seen when tali or Jack strike a threatening pose in Nassana's office they activate their omni tool and biotic aura thingeys.

IDK if this has been done before since i didnt read ALL 127 pages of this thread but I want to ask

I've just started using the Coalesced.ini Mod Manager and I'm thrilled about the possibilities. I've been experimenting for hours & had a lot of fun with it. Many thanks to RoadCrewWorker!

But now I'm a bit stuck. I'd like my female Shepard to wear the medium Guardian armour (she wore it in ME1 almost exclusively) as her combat outfit, but I have no idea what line I must add to the coalesced.ini. I'm quite sure I know how to add it (I studied StrudelMan's coalesced.ini as an example) and I already got it to work with another type of armour (Gladiator, I just picked a line randomly). I just don't know how to find out the correct abbreviation for the medium Guardian armour.

If someone could give me the code or explain how to find it, I'd be most grateful.
Thanks in advance! :-)

I like this thread here with all the information provided, but I prefer ME2 ini Fixer, instead of crappy Ruby. ME2 ini Fixer is actually made specifically for ME2, plus you only need to double click it and it is finished. No other crap in between.

I know others prefer to use ME2ini Fixer, but cannot find a current file to download, so I took the liberty of posting the link that was provided on another Thread on Modding, which was created by "Lavans". So "Lavans" deserves the credit for the posting link for the ME2 ini Fixer download link. I merely thought that it would be nice to post the link here so others have the choice of which program to use, one that is the simplest as possibly ever can be. Thanks. Here is the Download Link.

http://www.apartment...ME2IniFixer.zip

PS: Sometimes the link doesn't actually show a screen, especially on Google Chrome, but if you do use Google Chrome, check below to see that the file is awaiting to be downloaded. I also decided to keep the link as typed only, meaning you need to cut and copy it, you cannot click on it, as when I tried to add it as a URL, I had problems, mainly due to me not being that good with inserting url format texts. Thanks.

Ok so I've got a decent amount of rebalance in the game but I'm having 2 issues. I turned off the shields/barriers affecting powers but now my Adept seems OP'd. I need to know how to turn off universal power cool-down so I can increase the individual cool-down by 10x

You don't. Read Alison22000's post.  Fixer will change the file metadata to reflect the change in file size from editing it. If you don't then the file won't load correctly because the actual bytes won't match the byte totals. I think.

So I just installed the last ~5 months worth of DLC including the 1.02 patch, then copied back my old coalesced.ini (+ a few new 'mods' added to it), and the game works fine but I'm not seeing the changes I made - specificallly, I changed the preset faces and only the default ones are showing up. Looking in the actual coalesced.ini used by the game, I see the presets I added, but they just aren't showing up. I'm assuming my other changes won't be there either, and I know at least some aren't.

I thought I had a decent grasp of how to mod the ini, but I have no idea where to even begin debugging this problem. Am I missing something that happened in the last few months? Does the game read from a different ini file now?

Sorry if it's already been answered, but, does anyone know how to fix Normandy not having any sound and the weapon loadout freezing? It happened after modifiying the ini.

I want to keep the ini, I just need a fix...

I've tried other threads but no help yet on this issue.

I'm trying to extract the DLC audio files with the gibbed extractor. But so far no joy. It seems to just find the stock afc's even if I move the DLC afc's to the cookedpc folder.

Any help?

I'm now searching for hours and can't find anything about this:

So what I want is basicly have an asari Shepard. Skincolor wouldn't be the problem, but I don't know how add the 'tentacle hair'. And as addition if somebody know how to add markings would increase the awesomeness.

Or just give me a way to replace the head with an existing asari one. If possible Seryna. That would already make me happy.

I'm kinda familiar with Gibbed's Editor and the Coalesced Editor, tough if somebody want's to explain it to me, think about explaining it to a total retard.

Thanks a lot for an answer.

Can someone tell me how to get one of the dang ini fixers to effing WORK??? The ruby one was impossible for me to figure out, and the Me2iniFixer by Corvin666 or whatever keeps telling me that it "Couldn't open Coalesced.ini.bak for writing. Please make sure that I have permissions to write to it. I will exit now."

Anything...ANY help...

Hello,
After using Ashley's skin texture for a Femshep, and Kaiden's texture for a Maleshep, I'm wondering if it's possible to use some of Sheploo/Default Shep's skin/face/facial hair in any capacity?

If someone could post his BIOG_whateverwhatevers for HED_scalp_diff and everything I'd really appreciate it.

Hey people, im new here and i have two questions.
1. Is it possible to change the shooting system parameters? Like recoil etc? I mean, i would love to change ME2 shooting system to be more like the one from ME1,  where your guns had big recoil after massive shooting etc, which forced you to shot bursts
2. Is it possible to make transparent textures in ME2? I mean, transparents holes in textures etc or make some models tottally invisible by applying transparent on the whole textures. I would finally play without that big explosive gun covering my whole back.

dunno if its been stated but you can change cool downs for powers! 0.1 is the lowest it can go which is basically insta clear :) the line looks something like this SquadPowerCooldownMultiplier=0.1

which is under the [SFXGame.SFXDifficulty]. I havent tried 0.0 for cool downs simply cause it seems like it wouldnt cool down but i could be wrong.

by the by dont mod regular weapons or else every enemy that carries said weapon will have a bigger damage increase. This is only useful for going through insanity at what feels like insanity x15. If your not too keen on that then stick with modding the special weapons such as the machinegun (aka revenant) and the others found on the collector ship :)
