Guys I'm in the process of throwing up a basic website to house a lot of the modding knowledge garnered here, Although it isn't finished yet, it will include guides and downloadable mods and programs needed to mod, I'd appreciate it if you would allow me to put some of your stuff up on the site.

Very simple design so far (using wordpress) but I will work on it over next few days, once I've settled on the system I'm using to display content I will start putting stuff up piece by piece, if anyone wants to help create content you can as I can just allow you to register as a writer and you may create drafts I can then use later (guides and things) if anyone is interested of course!

Temporary URL is: me2mods.azureum.com

Any comments on expected content or additions/suggstions please do so.

Thanks

http://i803.photobuc...ss='bbc_img' />

Download Link: social.bioware.com/project/2026/#files

As you can see I made sure not to repeat my mistake with the officer
uniform and this time it is both Male and Female compatible from the
start.

I hope you guys like it.

I like those simple designs ;D I would start with sections with a first about where to get the needed software for modding and further sections for the specific modding like adding/modifying weapons, armors/clothing etc.

very good idea, though

I use this post also to repeat my question from prior page:
is it possible to give a custom male shepard the hair style of the standard male shepard?

Bianco thanks for the help getting Ruby, now I have another small issue... where is the script to fix the coalesced.ini? I really have no idea what I am looking for or where to look lol. <--- Is a newb.

I would think so, create a normal male shepard, save the file, use the saved editor and look under raw tab and expand player > appearance > morph head and write down whats in the hair mesh box.

Then go down to texture perameters and go into the collection.

On the box that appears copy down the values in hair diff and hair norm.

Once you have that info, open your custom save and enter those details you collected from the regular save, and enter them in same areas on your custom save.

Overwrite your save and then play.

Best I can do without detailed explaination.

You could use the ModManager the link for that is a few pages back, however there's a more "straightforward" ini.fix program you can download it here with instructions on how to use it:http://social.bioware.com/project/2024/

@MoneyDeluxe; I have Ruby, my issue is that I have no idea what or where the script that is mentioned is that I need to unpack...

@xXTalonXx

The script file is included in the "Files" Tab on the Ruby project in my profile. However, I have now updated the zip folder to include everything in one file. :) Don;'t know why I didnt do that in the first place...doh!

Personally I use a program called ME2IniFixer, it sits in the same folder as coalesced.ini and all I need do is run it via shortcut from my desktop, and it fixes the file after editing, simpler than running a script and renaming the file.

You can grab the file from here: http://me2mods.azure...ME2IniFixer.exe

It even creates a coalesced.bak (backup file) each time, you just need to rename it back to .ini to revert back.

Oh and by the way, if you like I would be capable of mirroring some of your mods, depending on size of the files of course, I would be happy to link to them at least.

EDIT: Apologies for double posting, my head is in coding and I'm getting pretty tired lol.

I know this is an known issue but with the player model mod that kills the sound on the Normandy does anybody have an info that would help start me in trying to find some way to fix it? More of which files to fiddle with seeing if anything works? Anything little on the subject would be awesome.

@BiancoAngelo7
Nice. Thanks but what about the White&Orange Cerberus Logo?
Can you add it on the right Chestpiece?
Btw. I'm considering doing some editing myself, apart from texmod for texture extraction and import which texture editing program are you using that is easily accessible for a beginner?
Perhaps I can take care of that myself then.^^

@BiancoAngelo7 - you've definitely been hammer out all sorts of items and I just wanted to say what a great job.. keep it up. Maybe Bioware will realize that ME2 has great potential for a strong modding community.

@Azureum - great idea on creating a site to collect all the information from this thread and I hope from other threads relating to making modifications to ME2. Since this thread exploded, it's been semi-difficult in finding information.

Keep up the good work.

Yeah great guys. I wish we could actually put armors on people. Like blood dragon armor on samra or just female shep type armors on characters. I guess we will have to wait on that.

Sweet, makes me a happy camper!!!

I laughed when I read someone wanted something with the logo...  and here I thought would take more than being rebuilt, a new ship, lots of cash, a powerful organization to back you, to make one become a sympathizer with Cerberus.

Is this a snarky remark on my behalf?
If so it's because I like to look like a team ingame you know, uniformity and unit cohesion. It just makes the game that much more immersive :wizard:

Is it possible to get TIM eyes on shepard?

Hi guys I need some help! I've just started a new Shepard on my second playthrough, and after my character creation, I felt that the original, vanilla Shepard looked better, so I decided to use Gibbed's Save Edit for ME2, and I changed the 'Has Morphed Head' in the 'Player's Appearance' to false.. Now I wanna get a Blue coloured TIM eyes on my Shepard, however when I went back to edit my save file, I realised that under the 'Morph Head' section in 'Player Appearance', there's nothing there, and I can't edit it either.. I've tried changing the 'Has Morphed Head' section from False back to True, but doing so I'm still unable change the 'Morph Head' section, and futhermore, when I try to load game, my game crashes, until I delete that save file.. And I don't want to create another new player, because I've pumped about 7 hours into this Shepard, which is my second shepard.... Please help me guys!!

No snark at all.  I was just amused that I was trying to get it off the uniforms and you were wanting it on.  I understand completely :o

Sealed Suits for Samara and Miranda:

http://i803.photobuc...ss='bbc_img' />

Download Link: social.bioware.com/project/2025/#files

This
mod will add a "sealed suit" look to Miranda and Samara making it a
little less ridiculous when they are in combat and hazardous/toxic
atmospheres.

I hope you enjoy it

[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/angel.png[/smilie]

These actually look better thant the originals and the same goes for the alternates. Great work BiancoAngelo7.

Could you maybe do red for Samara and white for Miranda I think it would equally as great.

how do you make your eyes glow?
i can't seem to find the post that has that guide
it should be just changing some tint in the .ini, right?

you have to use Gibbed's save game editor.

go to raw>player>appearance>morphhead>vector parameters>EYE_Iris_colour_vector>value>then set the RGB value to whatever you want.

Thanks

and what program is being used to recolor the armors?
i can't seem to open the .tpf files with my photoshop

Thanks for answer, but there's a problem. As I create a save with the default appearence there are no such entries under "morph head", it's not expandable so I cannot access to any values of the textures or hair mesh. If I load a custom face savegame it's accessible.
any other ideas?
