Glad you got it sorted out neok182 :)

Anyway, ronin4444 requested a version of my mod without the clear panels on the back of the legs, so I just uploaded one

yeah all sorted now.

so some point tomorrow i'll have a black/blue miranda with no logo alternate and default replacement. Miranda default with blue highlights. Jack default replaced with jack alternate and alternate given blue highlights all done.

right now i'm not bothering with the squad screen textures. kinda doubt i will since personally it won't bother me.

body : HMF_ARM_LGTd_MDL
face tatoo : ASA_HED_PRO_Tat2

If you can find out how to load Ari'as outfit on your shepard, please post it.
I tried coupels of days ago for 30 mins or so but didn't manage to do it.

I got it to work but the load times are so huge it's not really worth it.

Hm how did you get the tatoos to work What command did you use or line of code ?

Hey BiancoAngelo thanks for replying me on page 44!! So now my problem is that when I tried to edit my character using Gibbed's Save Editor, with some steps that was told on page 20+.. I've kept trying to edit it but I can never get TIM eyes on my Shepard, let alone get Blue TIM eyes on my Shepard.. The best I did was to make my Shepard have very blue eyes, which was not what I wanted..

Someone should make a site for all these texture mods.

As this topic is getting a little difficult to maneuver through.

ppl, i found this ....

maybe can help somebody :

Adding enemy weapons

First we need to load a package that has the enemy with the weapon

Code:

[SFXGame.SFXEngine]

DynamicLoadMapping=(ObjectName="SFXGameContent_Inventory.SFXHeavyWeapon_ScionGun",SeekFreePackageName="BioP_HorCr1")

Then we add it to the loadout screen

Code:

[SFXGame.SFXPlayerSquadLoadoutData]

HeavyWeapons=(classname="SFXGameContent_Inventory.SFXHeavyWeapon_ScionGun")

The weapon may look like something we already have so we need to give it a different image for the loadout

Code:

[SFXGameContent_Inventory.SFXHeavyWeapon_ScionGun]

GUIImage=GUI_Codex_Images.HandCannon_512

There we go. Scion gun in the loadout screen under heavy weapons with the handcannon image to spot it. Does jaratepoor damage though.

Teammate clothes

First load the package, in this case Mirandas

Code:

[Engine.PackagesToAlwaysCook]

SeekFreePackage=BioH_Vixen_00

Under casualappearances we add

Code:

CasualAppearances=(Id=1073,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMF_MIR_LGT_R.LGTa.HMF_MIR_LGTa_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMF_MIR_LGT_R.LGTa.HMF_MIR_LGTa_MDL"),PlotFlag=-1)

Then edit the save game and set

Code:

stream_vixen_00 = true

Weapon modding works always (except in the case of some weapons), casuals only in the ship and even then you might have to further edit the savegame for them to work.

Enemy armor/models

Start with a package the model is in

Code:

[Engine.PackagesToAlwaysCook]

SeekFreePackage=BIOP_ShpCr2

and add the mesh/model/skeleton as a fullbodyapperances

Code:

[SFXGame.SFXPawn_Player]

FullBodyAppearances=(Id=3000,Name=351273,Description=351274,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Mesh=(Male="BIOG_COL_AR

So, added Captain Wasea's armor (for fullbodyappearence), I guess many did.
http://f.imagehost.o...-02_19-52-19-01

Again, maybe it's been asked, but is there any to add some properties (the ones of cerberus assault armor for example) and helmets?
Not asking about changing color patterns, I guess it's impossible for now. Tjough in my case it appeared in green-brown camo for some reason...

Rest easy, I have found a way (Im pretty sure) to give shepard TIM Eyes and if all goes well it should be done within the next 16 hours. So there. :P

@Ronin4444

I am sorry to hear that your texmod lag issue persists. Usually it depends on anti virus and just having a high quality enough pc. However, you may try disabling processes in the task manager that you dont need. Since basically texmod eats up temp memory when running, if you disable any kind of downloader programs or other processes that you dont need it should help. The only other really extreme measure would be to adda gig or two of ram to your pc but that will only change something if you dont at least have 2 gigs already. Also, the result of that will vary depending on how many processes you run anyway.

Oh and to disable processes just press Ctrl Alt Delete and select the tab called processes to disable ones you dont need. (I dont know if you knew this so I include it to save us back and forth in messaging...but u probably knew :P )

@Yorick of the damned

For all those searching for texmods, the texture modders have created a group where members are only people who have contributed by posting texture projects in their "Projects" area in their profile.

This allows other users to easily find all the available texture mods to date. :)

For those of you experiencing lag in spite of having turned off your antivirus, try a nice piece of freeware called 'Gamebooster' (google it). I always use it when playing a game (not that it's really necessary, my PC can handle full HD gaming..), and I think it helps.

i got a ati4870 and 4gig of ram, i play with 1920x1080 with 4xAA and the fps stays at 57-60fps, normandy loadtime is 10seconds i think with texmod fps drops at certain random places like galaxy map and normandy loadtime is 30seconds...

HDR+AA don't normally function right in mass effect 2

Its a limitation of UT3 games and Nvidia so here is how you force HDR+AA to work together
========================================================================
C:\\ProgramData\\NVIDIA\\NvApps.xml

You can edit this with regular notepad
Click find and search for Mass Effect II

Make sure it says this[Qutoe]
<PROFILE Label="Mass Effect II">
            <APPLICATION Label="MassEffect2Bak.exe"/>
            <PROPERTY Label="aa_feature_bits" Value="0x080100C5" Default="0x080100C5" Itemtype="predefined"/>
            <PROPERTY Label="hybrid_rendering_mode" Value="0x00000001" Default="0x00000001" Itemtype="predefined"/>
            <PROPERTY Label="multichip_rendering_mode" Value="0x02402005" Default="0x02402005" Itemtype="predefined"/>
            <PROPERTY Label="af_default" Value="0x00000010" Default="0x00000001"/>
            <PROPERTY Label="gamma_correct_aa" Value="0x00020000" Default="0x00020000"/>
            <PROPERTY Label="aa_default" Value="0x00000010" Default="0x00000000"/>
            <PROPERTY Label="aa_selector" Value="0x10000000" Default="0x00000000"/>
            <PROPERTY Label="transparency_aa" Value="0x02400000" Default="0x00000000"/>
            <PROPERTY Label="vsync_default" Value="0x47814940" Default="0x60925292"/>
            <PROPERTY Label="triple_buffering" Value="0x00000001" Default="0x00000000"/>
            <PROPERTY Label="aniso_selector" Value="0x10000000" Default="0x00000000"/>
            <PROPERTY Label="aniso_sample_optimization" Value="0x00000000" Default="0x00000000"/>
            <PROPERTY Label="d3d_negative_lod_bias_status" Value="0x00000001" Default="0x00000000"/>
            <PROPERTY Label="trilinear_optimization" Value="0x00000001" Default="0x00000000"/>
            <PROPERTY Label="image_settings" Value="0xFFFFFFF6" Default="0x00000000"/>
            <PROPERTY Label="ws_aa_fs_gamma" Value="0x00000002" Default="0x00000000"/>
        </PROFILE>[/Quote]

This forces nvidia cards to properly render HDR+AA together to the 3d profile settings you set in nvidia control panel.

My program settings read masseffect2bak.exe as my executable file
<APPLICATION Label="MassEffect2Bak.exe"/>

The reason for this is I am using texmod, texmod.exe is renamed to MassEffect2.exe
While my original Masseffect2.exe is now actually MassEffect2Bak.exe which I make sure texmod loads.

<APPLICATION Label="MassEffect2Bak.exe"/> By default in nvidia drivers the profile is not pointing to the right executable which is why nvidia users can't force AA unless they alter nvapps.xml to the right executable.

As you can clearly see from my previous image doing this helped my overall quality ingame and lighting.

Edit:
I know that CSAA is the new format 8x 16x 16xQ, but Mass Effect 2 runs best under normal MSAA 4x, 8x, 8xQ atleast for me. What really hits me in the FPS department is enabling high quality textures. My cutscenes are somewhat slow. However if I set this back to quality textures the cutscenes run perfectly.

I normally run Mass Effect 2 on 4x or 8xQ

@ronin
Yeah I was afraid that it wouldnt be a hardware issue. Unfortunately (for reasons above my tech savy) texmod will cause some slight chop in games. I dont really know how its determined from system to system. For me it barely drops from 60 to 55 fps and increases load times by maybe 10 secs. At the end of the day I guess its the price we pay to be able to customize our ME2 experience. :/

@destination

lol take a breath :P

Quoted from page 28. Anyone have a different, newer or better version of this coalesced? When I use it, I get a lot of sound issues (sound disappearing, some sounds disappearing.) At first I thought the issue common to all coalesced editing, but then I noticed that using the shotgun mod or Strudelmann's alternative outfits (from masseffect2saves modlist, which is a lot like Valtonis/adssdddd's upload but without Miranda's outfit or casual outfits in missions), did nothing to the sound. There any other mod that allows you to use Miranda's outfit in missions and hubs?

Hope you like it!!!

Cerberus Project:
-Black suit for Shepard (90% done)
-Black suit for SR-2 crew - Next
-Black suit for Miranda and Jacob - Completed
-Black suit for Joker - Soon
-Black weapons with blue lights - To go with my black cerberus suit
-Black weapons with red lights
-Black Cerberus suit - 75% done (pictures available under my project gallery)
-Black Terminus Soon

I am a fan of cerberus outfits so I love the logo's.

My favorite character by far is the illusive man, so he better return in ME3.

the bugs (sound problems etc) are a result of setting the background loading to false
which is a must if you want to switch some of the models for your Shepard (the henchmen ones in particular) and there isn't a workaround for it at this moment

How the hell do you manage that? I am not able to edit any value for streaming. It is under "Other - Streaming" right?

Not sure if anyone else has stumbled across this, but it's possible to give yourself more than the default number of powers:
Posted Image

The way I did it was by using the save editor to give me a point in 1 of the talents I'd already evolved. In this case the armor piercing ammo talent.

On another note, is it possible to get another class' talent onto an existing character? I know you can do it with a new character, but I don't want to abandon my current character.

Quick update for everyone wanting TIM eyes.

it IS possible, I am working on it now, and im about half way done. Its taking longer than a usual mod so just have some patience and it should be out soon. :)
