yeah its wierd Ive done quite a few weapon mods so far and none have really given me any trouble :/ dont know what to tell ya :(



It doesnt look bad though man, you could leave it like that, I think it looks pretty good :)

Tell him to do TorsoAppearance=(ID=121, Type=Customizabletype_torso, mesh="[Insert what ever code he had to get just the suit working]",plotflag=1).   

Then tell him to make dummy leg/shoulder/arm apperances that read [leg/arm/shoulder]apperance=(ID=132, Type=Customizabletype_[legs/arms/shoulders],plotflag=-1)

Note their is no mesh file.

Then, have him equip the correct torso with the blank shoulders from the individual component selection menu in game.    That should give him the full body apperance without a helm.   Then, simply toggle the helm to the one he wants, which is already in the game anyway.

So you are saying the helmet from the picture is not possible to get in the game it self ? he already has the armor from the picture only he cant add helmet.

Did you paint the normal maps and the negative maps or did you just paint the normal bump maps?


I found that every time I use any of the abnormal maps (not the texture itself) the gun turns red. So for all my gun texmods I only used the normal map.

Damn, don't even know the terminology but I'm posting the stuff :D

Isn't the helmet the same as the default helmet you already have?  


Um...if its not, make a helmetapperance, with

mesh=Male="BIOG_HMM_HGR_SHP_R.SHPc.HMM_HGR_SHPc_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMM_HGR_SHP_R.SHPc.HMM_HGR_SHPc_MDL, bHasBreather=True,bHideHead=True,bHideHair=True

Then equip it with the torsoappearance=to the model hes already found, with the above posted dummy leg arm shoulder apperances.

I am curious how did you find this and all the other armors model names?
I have searched thru all my mass effect directories and I see none tagged as BIOG_HMM_HGR_SHP_R.SHPc.HMM_HGR_SHPc_MDL

So, uhm tell me. What exactly happens to you guys when using bUseBackgroundLevelStreaming=False ?



For me it only block all Normandy sound and that's all.



@ NarfGarg, since you have found a "solution", what defects does it present to you, besides the soundless Normandy?

Its the one I'm using for the custom helmet.   I don't remember where I found it.

You need the umodel viewer. You can open and visualize contents of .pcc files.
Get it here http://www.gildor.org/downloads
Just drag and drop the .pcc into the umodel.exe and the window will appear. Press H for help.

I have an update:

I have finished a personal complete overhaul of the vindicator battle rifle.
First, how to make it an ACTUAL assault rifle:

open your ini, search for the "Needler" weapon values and replace:

BurstRounds=3
BurstRefireTime=0.625f
MinRefireTime=0.3f

with:

BurstRounds=1
BurstRefireTime=0.0f
MinRefireTime=0.0f

This will make your Vindicator into more than just an SMG with a scope.

I have
also created a project where I have made it black, and added two colors
for the details: White and Dark Blue. I will add more as I make them.

I will soon release Dark Red and Dark Orange for cerberus loyalty outfits and armor.

This will be my last black weapon project as Demon_Slayer is releasing a black weapon pack  soon and its looking great!

I will also not add other colors to my vindicator project unless requested.

Do you find that simply switching the vindicator to full-auto makes it way too powerful in terms of damage per second? It is quite accurate as well. A few pages earlier I made a version of Vindicator that was also modified in terms of rate of fire, damage, accuracy and recoil.

Hey, does anyone know if it's possible to make the smg appear in the shotgun slot so that the pistol and smg aren't on top of each other?

Edit: My vindicator assault rifle now has several colors:



White

Dark Red

Dark Blue

Dark Orange

Dark Green

Magenta (for dem ladiez) :D



Open the "files" tab in the project and you will find the different colors. :)

Yes it does make the vindicator more powerful, but you have to look at this way, the vindicator has more damage and becomes a TRUE upgrade to the Avenger. Especially if you consider that it has a lower ammo count than the avenger assault rifle. Making it have less ammo per clip was more than enough for balancing the gameplay. When they made it fire in bursts it was some major gameplay balancing overkill.



This is just my opinion of course. :)

for all strippers in the game. I will do my best to make sure that it

I've been looking through this and spending quite a bit of time just doing some easy changes to the ini file cause I've no idea how to use texmod or unreal editor... I'm wondering if anyone has figured out how to have the red eyes without the scars. I love the red eyes but the scars look ridiculous. and has anyone figure out a way to change the color? I thought I saw a post here somewhere about them but its tough skimming through 65 pages...

As for the red eyes, you may want to try using Gibbed save editor, but it will only work if you are not using the default shepard appearance.

Well its close enough, I still like the old appearance from ME1 better though

BTW the texture replacement is in BIOG_HMM_MALE_PLAYER_C for the old N7 breather
I have no idea how to make the old n7 helmet model work though

I've never been able to wear my N7 armor onboard normandy before.
