@everyone else

I recently posted that I was going to work on a "nude stripper" mod. However, it has been brought to my attention that

a) there is already a mod available, I cannot post it here, but you can google search it.

B) The people who made the mod on these forums orginally apparently had their modding group deleted, their posts or threads removed and unsure, but possibly their accounts banned. The details are fuzzy, but apparently the main point is that if we post anything here having to do with nudity, then the Devs and their virgin eyes will smite us down.

So in the interest of less smiting me (and my friends) down...WE WILL NOT BE DOING A NUDITY MOD.

If you want it youll just have to google search for it. Its not hard.Heh he..."hard"...pfffttt

Anyway, I appreciate everyone's understanding as ultimately we are guests on Biwoare's sites and even though it might not make any sense to me or you, at the end of the day not its their choice if showing skin is apparently "the debil" while blowing people to kingdom come is a-ok.

But it's ok for DAO to have nudity in the first ten projects? :lol:

Sorry for ask again, Posted Image  but there is any way to make a mod that allows you to play as :

 A Fem Shepard with Miranda's body + Oriana (Miranda's twin sister) head

A Male Shepard with Illusive man's body + head

so, those mods are possible o not? with sound inside the normandy?

thanks in advance!!  Posted Image

anyone able to answer to help with my zaeed request?

Getting to play as Zaeed's body model as armor with the helmet, i posted screens about this same subject earlier no responses so far XD.

Oh and quick question about narfgarg model switch mod, is there a way to enable the sounds on the normandy? It doesnt bother me so much, but having that same sound play the entire game even when I do go out on a mission is a bit annoying.

There is a solution that I'm working on, but it's quite hacky. And most likely too much effort for many currently.

Yes to both, not sure on the sound. I've not had sound issues with Mirandas or TIMS body.

Update:

I have completed a request for a fixed skin of the military beret. Here it is:

[img]http://i803.photobucket.com/albums/yy314/biancoangelo7/beret.jpg

So far I have only made a black version. Depending on time I will also release other colors.

social.bioware.com/project/2150/#files

Enjoy:)

Instructions on how to activate the beret:

Open your ini and search for

"HelmetAppearances="

go to the one that says Id=4 and add this line under it:

HelmetAppearances=(Id=5,Type=CustomizableType_Helmet,Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_HIR_PRO_R.Beret.HMM_HAT_Brt_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMM_HIR_PRO_R.Beret.HMM_HAT_Brt_MDL"),GameEffects=("SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_StabilizationGauntlets","SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_DeathMask","SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_Visor"),PlotFlag=-1)

This will replace the death mask with a military beret.

Well, the least I could do for myself

journals.ru/attach/355/35406/888634.jpg

Would be good to have this armor in Cerberus colors. And Cerberus logo on the beret would be AWESOME. Well just in addition:)

If it helps, the code for this one is

TorsoAppearances=(Id=10,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_ARM_MED_R.MEDc.HMM_ARM_MEDc_MDL",MaleMaterialOverride="BIOG_HMM_ARM_MED_R.MEDc.HMM_ARM_MEDc_MAT_3a""), PlotFlag=-1)

Though  _MAT value still doesn't matter, this green-brown camo pattern is the only one availible on missions.

I'm modding with texmod. I'm able to change colors, but I was wondering, is there a way to mod the textures to make them more "shinny" ?

For exemple, the Gold Legion of Bianco is really well done, but, it's quite mat, it doesn't look like actual gold.

It's not really important, but I'd really like to be able to do it.

Anyway, keep up the good work guys.

Exactly. Maybe mixed with camo (I think I've seen something like this in texture modding thread).

DemonSlayer_1, modifying alpha channels will not make the gray go away, it will just make that part of the textures invisible which is not what you want. I haven't looked at any of the textures yet for ME2 but most games i've modded in the past use at least 3 sets of textures, what most refer to as normal, diffuse and bump maps, but this can vary with some games. One is used for brightness and shine and can be adjusted accordingly and another smooths textures to mask certain things or shows more.

Since I haven't looked at me2 textures yet I can't say if these are there but aside from the textures with the actual colors, there should be at least 2 more files, one containing pink textures and one containing gray/silver looking textures. A lot of times a color that should be black can look gray because of too much shine so that can be adjusted, the other can be adjusted to help mask parts of the lighter textures by smoothing them. I'm not sure if i'm explaining this good, i'm not too good with explaining things lol and I haven't looked at the me2 textures yet. These other texture files i'm talking about usually are considerably lower resolution so they'll be small probably.

Bioware must have done some extra work to attempt to prevent mods from working, I was looking through to see how the file structure is inside all of the data files and there are export folders for mods but simply creating the appropriate folders and placed modded files where they go doesn't seem to be enough, well it did work but that issue where sound need to be toggled to false still is required for them to show up. I bypassed ini editing completely to test this and I believe it's possible to replace certain armor/mesh but still it seems too much is dependent on the ini file.

I didn't have any real success yet but maybe someone else will if I don't eventually. It seems that files for shepard are bunched together and some of it is npc also and there are several mesh and texture variations all together. I don't believe umodel extracts everything correctly either but even if it did, the ini file that is edited mostly doesn't really use file paths, just mostly tags and flags to identify what goes where and on whom.

I haven't figured out why armors and outfits display all of their material variations as casual but not as armor for shepard. Most know that as armor they tend to just show the default textures for each but as casual they show the texture variations. I'm going to try messing with the casual variations since that already works reasonably well but I don't know offhand why the variations don't show up for armor on shepard and of course there's the certain npc armor that doesn't want to show up on shepard without screwing up the game's sounds.

I believe there's a way other than toggling background sound to false to get it to work but I haven't found that method yet lol, maybe one of us will soon. I just started looking into modding me2 yesterday so i'll post any of my findings, if I find anything of use. I'm taking a break from modding DAO until the expansion for it comes out next month, plus me2 is a lot more fun for me since I prefer sci-fi type games.

One more thing regarding changing textures, if I can get them to work by using the mod importing directory structure bioware used but has hidden pretty well, this would help those that are having frame rate issues with using texmod.

Clayton314, the gray textures I mentioned earlier, those control the amount of shine there is but as I said, I haven't looked at me2 textures yet so I don't know if they use all of the usual types of texture files or not but if so, that's how it's done.
