Not sure if its been covered or not, but the RGB values in relation to armor tints can be changed as well. You probably just had issues and getting wrong colors if you followed the standard RGB 0-255 color values.
It works a little differently here, the values in ME2 (and maybe ME1, haven't modded that game) are RGB percentages.
The trick is to convert them into a percentage as ME2 recognises the
values as 0-1.0 (0-100%).
Little hard to explain, but take any colour in photoshop or any other graphics program, and get the RGB values (red, green and blue).
Auburn is:
R : 111
G : 53
B : 26
I converted these on a website I found: http://andylangton.c...olour-converter (use the RGB colour:(255-based) -> RGB colour:(Percent-based) option) and type in 111,53,26 (RGB value). That gives you 44%,21%,10%, so to convert these just change the decimal point to 0 point and then 2 digits of the percent values to become 0.44, 0.21, 0.10.
Those are the fixed ME2 values, you don't need the 0.01727 or other such long numbers.
Whats more is you can add many more color variations by just adding lines in this section:
[SFXGame.SFXPawn_Player]
Such as:
Tint1Appearances=(Id=0,Type=CustomizableType_Tint,Tint=(TintParam=(ParameterName="Tint_Color01",ParameterValue=(R=0.093876,G=0.093876,B=0.093876,A=1.000000)),PhongParam=(ParameterName="Phong_Spec_Color",ParameterValue=(R=0.000000,G=0.000000,B=0.000000,A=1.000000))))
Just increment the Id=? number (numbers go from 0 up to whatever) and change the numbers as previously mentioned or just change existing ones, doesn't really matter, whatever works for you.
Same goes for Tint2Appearance as well.
Hope this was of help to some of you wanting more variety in armor colors!
I havent tried to do anything with mass effect 2, so that means I dont know how to do that yet. But I just wanted to say thanks for posting, I will try it out later! Thanks for that (in my opinion) incredible usefull modding abilities pal!

If you want Miranda's outfit for femshep, the simplest way is to download one of my ini mods that include henchman/npc armor/outfits and read the readme for extra information on it. There are still random minor sound issues but that will be corrected when one of us figures it out. I update it periodically when I make enough changes or additions to need an update.

Can you replace one NPC's model with the other? Specifically, I'd like to replace Garrus' model with Thane's. Glitches do not scare me.
But I've seen so many videos with guys replacing Shep's model with Legion/Scion/whatever and no vids with NPC models switched. No one's interested or it's just not possible?
So, guys, no info, no light at the end of the tunnel? (

"southbeatz1169", I have a question for you. I tried your mod, its a lot of outfits/armors, but youre not planning to just make a realism "closet" mod??? What I mean to say is, to just add "casual outfits" that only works in normandy. That means no legion/female unrealism. You have expanded the normandy closet but with suits people wont wear unless to fool around in videos.
I would personaly like to see that the closet get expanded with working casual outfits in normandy. And when going outside to fight, use an expanded wardrobe for "war armors", for example the Colossus armor that exists in your mod, should only be able to wear outside the normandy. Also you should implement them as the DLC armor packs have done, because they ARE full suits. Not like the customizable suit. The FULL armors should not be customizable (adding helmets and such). But this is my opinion, and even though your mod is not to my liking I am possitive other people uses it and appreciates it differently. Am just a little bit more for realism, and would like to see mods COPY the DLC style, when it comes to implement them in game. Using shoulders and such as a way to add earrings or adding invicible parts (for example) doesnt really fit my playstyle since that space was meant for only shoulders.
I mean no disrespect, I like you armors and outfits, I just wished they were implemented in their right "spaces". "War Amors" outside normandy and "Causal Outfits" inside, female armors for FEMALES and Male armors for MALES, Teammates armor should not be active in wardrobe, since they are bugged or should only be for teammates, helmets/headgear for HELMETS etc etc.
Read this for easier understanding (what I mean):
Back to original question, are you planning to do something like that soon, or later on? A mod that follows original gameplans and adds more realism. in other words, just expands on headgear and casual outfits as well as adding "WAR armors" outside normandy (not causal outfits) that CANT be customized (implemented as cerberus armor etc etc)???

I'm currently Gibbed's Save File Editor for my ME2 game, and was playing around with Hair models for Female and Male Shepards. As I know, only the Female Shepards have custom hairstyles that can be used by changing hair mesh strands (http://www.masseffec...s&tutorial=hair).
What I wanted to know, however, is if these custom female hair styles can also be applied to Male Shepards? It sounds ludicrous, I know, but take a look at this:
http://www.masseffec....php?faceID=519
Someone managed to take a Female hair model (the mohawk) and apply it to a male Shepard! What I want to know is if this is possible for the other 3 custom hair styles, and if so, how do I go about doing it? (I've already tried simply replacing the "mohawk" keywords in Jed Q's step by step process w/ "Cyberbabe" and all it does it give me a corrupted file)

War-Neck, you could just refrain from using the ones you don't like, or even delete them with notepad++ or one of the various ini editors floating around. As for accessories in the shoulders slots, I'm guessing it's for overcoming the engine limitations of wearing both helmets/custom heads and accessories at the same time. The same codes work just fine as helmets if you really want shoulder pads on top of your custom armor.
Yes, yes I know I could just avoid using them
But the game feels somehow more incomplete than complete when there is option to use "unrealistic materials".
I have no clue how to edit it myself, there are no completed guides around. I guess I can look around for awhile, but wouldnt it be hard to pick out what has been added to that particular "Coalesced file". I am fairly certain it doesnt say "legion armor" or "miranda outfit". I would have to jump back and fourth from game until I finaly find the outfits i would want to waste???
I understand why there are accessories in the shoulders slots, but I would more like if you just could choose from headgear OR helmet. Not both, since they anyway will most likely "clip" with eachother. The shoulders should be left alone, unless we would find new SHOULDERS to add there.
Best mod in my opinion would be: Headgear added to helmets, as well as expanding it with the new hats, caps etc ect. The casual outfits should only be used inside normandy. The new armors should be implemented as the DLC armor pack (collector and cerberus). I also dont find it realistic that you have can have the same outift as "Jacob Taylor", because you wouldnt want to use the same outfit, and I do believe that those armors should be unique for each team-member.
I know, I know, its just me looking for a perfect mod. It just aint out there!
I would change it myself, and post if I would have the skills for it. I am fairly certain some people also share my point of view on mod-making. I reallly would like to see these new outfits and armors to be implemented JUST as the DLC packs... Just laying my thoughts out there!
Changing the gameengine as some people do just doesnt feel liek the right way to go ^^
NO DISRESPECT, we all have different views, I might even be alone in my view!
EDIT: How do these ini editors work?? Are they easy-to-use?? friendly to beginers? Easier than manual edit?
PS: Here is an example image. This sort of clipping is not a complete mod in my opinion.

I can remove armors from casual selection and move them to full body appearance. The reason I have certain outfits and armors in the customizable section is because if you put armors without a helmet in full body appearance, shepard sounds like he/she is wearing a helmet when that isn't the case. Playing them as torso in the customizable section allows for use a helmets, visors or whatever but also can correct the helmet voice sound. I've been working on several things for ME2 that i'll be releasing sometime this week.

War-Neck, I had intended to create a mod like you want already, I just haven't gotten to it yet. Some of the armors I can look at in notepad++ and know exactly what they are but some of them i'll have to check in the game to see what they are. I do intend to make it so there are no female armors available for male shepard and vice versa. I wasn't planning on removing the henchman/npc armors but i can add an ini to my next release that has those removed, it doesn't take long.
Sweet "southbeatz1169" !

Damn, freaking limited modding in this game. Even though im not really a modder myself (basic stuff only), I really see the limitations here!
Anyway, nice to see that some people crack things open!
EDIT: What about the first armor in Normandy?? The one just before you die, that one has a helmet, right?
What about finding that one, and use it?

I will be releasing one soon with only the realistic suitable outfits for casual wear on the normandy, the armors and henchman armors/outfits will be removed from casual and armor. For those that want all of this, it will still be available because i'm keeping one ini file with everything in it for those that may want to play as male shepard and female shepard but do not want to have to change ini files to do so and do not mind sorting through around 200 armors and outfits.
I started sorting through them and removing the ones that do not display correctly. I should have done this sooner but I don't use most of them myself. For those that don't want male and female armors showing up together, i'll have to release separate versions, one for male one for female shepard. I know some of these have been added to previous mods before but I have never seen anyone put them all together and sort through them in any specific way.
I had originally done that myself and as I always do, I made it public to share with anyone that wants it. For those that want the Miranda outfit with her top down, that only works correctly as casual right now. I'm not sure why yet but it doesn't work right as armor. I'll work on this stuff some until I finish it, I just can't sit through sorting through hundreds of armors and outfits, loading me2 to test 10 or 20 at a time and repeat over and over until they're all done, I have to break from this to avoid going crazy lol but I will finish it up soon, in a few days i'll have several new versions of the ini mods posted.
Does anyone by chance know how to remove the helmet from the blood dragon armor? I haven't really tried yet because when I modified a dlc item before, the game gave me lots of crap since the dlc's are done differently. Changing dlc content makes the game act like the dlc is not purchased or at least that's what it did when I messed with a dlc item before.
-Edit-
The sound issue with full body appearance sounding as if you're wearing a helmet doesn't have a fix because Bioware intend for that part to only use full outfits, that's likely why the dlc armors have helmets that cannot be removed. Using the customizable section works fine but you do have to equip some form of head gear or the armors can be buggy.

is there a way of altering Ashley's armour colour? I'm not a fan of her white/pink getup, and as a Commander, I insisted she wear onyx armour in the first game. But she switched right back to default for ME2. Could I get a recolour from someone please?
I'd try my own recolour of the Phoenix armour but trying to find the skin files in Texmod isn't working. The only ones Texmod highlights I think are the lighting/shading maps.
