Maybe they removed motion blur, the grain filter is less distracting now. And everything else about the graphics engine is vastly improved. The eyes are prettier, the textures are nicer from what I can tell, the animation in dialogue is sooo much improved...
Sounds like you are playing on a different television than you played ME1 on.

Alocormin, actually is the same television...
And you forget to mention that they also have removed ANTI ALIASING on the xbox360 !
Mass Effect 1 has AA
Dragon Age has AA
Multiplatform Mass Effect 2 NO ANTI ALIASING!!!!
Bioware has used Multiplat Unreal Engine as it is, they haven't personalized a bit of this game for our consolle.
EA Effect......

What's with the whole multi-platform ME2 complaints? It's only on PC and 360... just like the original!
Anyway, I just own the PC version now, but I will guess that if they turned AA off on the 360 version it's probably that they had to in order to get the performance they really wanted. AA does put a bit of a higher strain on system resources and while every source and their grandmother like to repeat that the 360 GPU can do "free" AA because of its embedded RAM, there is no such thing as free AA (or free computing process at all). So the devs were probably faced with a choice, and they chose better performance. That's how these things go.

I have it for the XBoX as well, and you must be smoking crack if you think ME1 looks better than ME2. It's not even close, ME2 blowns ME1 out of the water.

ME2 graphics are great...especially after playing DA:Origins on the 360. That game had unfogivably atrocious graphics, to the point where it interfered with the game experience
