Folks,
      I recently had an email exchange with the maker of the "The Winter Forge" mod. Since the newest version was available only for v1.02 of the game I was trying to see if there was a way to get it running on a Mac. Well low and behold Phaenan went the extra mile for us Mac users and has posted a version of the newest mod that is compatible with v1.01 (what we have running on Macs right now). 
     I have only just installed it but it seems stable enough. If you have been longing for this mod like I have this is an amazing step from an individual modder. Check it out, I know you won't be disappointed.

wow! the description looks pretty good, but wouldn't it be better to start a new game after installing?

It depends. You do need to learn a new row of skills and there are a lot of formulae to find (in this version, it sounds like the next version will have less scrolls to find! ). But I found it really nice to have my characters in matching tinted armor in the end-game. 

I will definitely be excited to use this from the beginning of my next playthrough though.
