Even though I have both discs installed to the hard drive the discs still spin constantly in the drive. I didn't think that's the way it was supposed to work, that I still needed the disc to start the game but after that it wouldn't continually spin. That's the way every other game works. Is it supposed to work that way?

You better check your install. It should spin for few seconds and that should be it.

dude, when u delete your game from hdd, it will also delete your save files.so be careful. i should have bought the pc version. no bullcrap like on 360.

That's never happened before either. I've deleted plenty of games to make room for others and the save files have never been deleted.

Someone else reported that his/her save was gone after deleting the game from HDD :/ (Edit. Oh, it was you, mgcemir .)
P.S. I have noticed that despite me having 2 game saves for my main ME2 profile, I can find just one game save file in System -> Memory -> HDD -> Games -> Mass Effect 2 .... Are normal ME2 game saves hidden?
I like to have a copy of my game saves on Memory Unit.
