Hi, i want to know how to disable the shared cooldown on skill in ME2. Kill all the fun i have in classes other than soldier, since making combo (lift + throw...) was one of the funniest thing i did in ME1.
I know we can remove the cooldown, didn't try since it's not what im looking for (it's just looks like spamfest). I want a tactical use of my skill, like in ME1.
And if it's possible, I want the same reload than in ME1, singularity with high cooldown, lift with low... Like a file with all skills stats and a way to change it.
Thanks.
Disable the shared cooldown in ME2?

Pull or singularity. Then you use the throw

Actually i have all my skill disabled once i activated one of them (so i can't make combo, since when the first skill is played the scond one is reloading). Whatever class i play. Exemple : if i use incendiary ammo on soldier, my skillbar is in cooldown. If i use throw on adept, i have the same.Tiger0646 wrote...

No. But you need to learn tacts and that is the best one. Or you could always have Jacob with you ask him to pull then you throw.

Boring. I want personal tactics, and not team tactics. I don't want 3 biotics in my team just to be able to have combos and fun. I will have something like 5-6 skills, and will only be able to use 1 of of them ? For me it's garbage. Or it's borderland. 1 skills, lots of gunz.Tiger0646 wrote...

Anyway, it's just my 2 cents, maybe im the only one in the world to think that. I didn't want to start some discussion on "i like it, i don't like it" mode, just to know if it's possible and how to do.

Oh, and i talked to an irl friends, and he said he dislike the shared cooldown. We are at least 2 in the world now

Unfortunately not, no. I too hate the shared cooldowns.

Edit that Coalesced file and turn off shared cool downs (at your own risk).

Afaik, the Coalesced.ini has a function for Sharedcooldowns True/False, but setting it to false doesn't do anything.LeoInterVir wrote...

I can't edit mine with notepad, since the game won't start after saving it. I read somewhere their is an editor someone made.

Hi, I've been looking for about 2 days on how to figure out how to make all powers to not have a shared cooldown, and eventually I had a play around with the Coalesced.ini and figured it out myself, I'd be willing to tell people how to do it as long as I'm atleast credited for it if you happen to tell anyone else about it.
Message me if you're interested.

Yes, there is a coalesced.ini editor, or you can open it manually with notepad++, then use the .ini fixer, both found here in the forums somewhere. I have edited the setting from true to false and still get shared cooldowns too. I think it almost has to be like this now because of abilities like Adrenaline Rush or Tactical Cloak that you can't use other abilities with.

i just search for the cooldown word in the c.in and set everything from true to false ,and guess what??
it works but not for the tactical cloak and adrenaline rush

The only thing I've been able to achieve is disabling cooldowns altogether. This is seriously the one design decision that truly annoys me in this game. The only thing it really achieves is simplifying combat for players to focus on using one ability for a given situation, but that means that creativity and combos are sacrificed, which is regrettable.

Edit this section
[SFXGame.BioActivePower]
m_bSkipPowerCooldown=FALSE
m_fMaxWaitTimeForAnimation=5.0f
Setting it to TRUE will disable all cooldowns. Not that great an idea when enemy engineers can spam incineration blast, or their drones start firing 5 shots a second.
Keeping it FALSE and lowering teh numerical value should reduce the cooldown time. In theory, havent tested it yet.
Edit: Just tested it. Lowering the numerical value does lower the overall cooldown time. Set it for 2 or 3 if you want to still have a cooldown, but leave enough time to set your own warp explosions.

I dont like the concept of cooldowns at all. There should be zero cooldown, but powers should be a limited resource.
