I wanna share my objective opinion with Bioware and other people on this forum.
Ater my 1st playthrough on Normal on 360. No spoilers is the deal.

The game is epic and so with the hype around it it's really easy to find bugs and glitches alike.
They would your worst nightmares only if you are really keen on actively looking for them.

Performance/bugs/glitches

I did get stuck on a crate and wasnt able to move yes...had to reload - my autosave was just before I entered the room.

My xbox stopped during an autosave at one stage - had to reload - the save existed and wasnt corrupted I missed out on the cutscene tho - not really ME2's fault.

There was a spot when the texture took a second to load - still better than ME1

Story
Bioware risked a lot providing us with new team members after such awesomly crafted buddies from the 1st installment. The new crew fits the darker theme better. There are twists I didnt anticipate and really liked. The End Game though, wasn't clear enough to me and the choices seemed a bit forced (considering achievements). Lots of diversity while sticking to keeping the team leathal as are the enemies you face in the game. Now, with all side quests 30 hr of gameplay...kinda short but concrete it doesn't drag nor does it seem like the creators didnt explain what happens on the screen.

Gameplay
Thermal clips - as many aspects of the game are debetable in two absolutes - love and hate. Felt less 'godly' killing 30 geth in matter of seconds. Felt more powerful and satisfied getting rid of my enemies barrier/shield and the unleashing my shotgun fury on them. Definitely more tactics involved and more thinking...cover needed more often than not.
Heavy weapons - definitely cool looking and cool effects, was curious to use them yet would stick to my shotgun.
Curving biotics around cover - Retain in ME3! Awesome, fun...again gotta apply more tactical view over the battlefield
No stats for weapons (progression of weapons) - used to do over 500 dmg in ME1 now I just kill whoever opposes me without the knowledge of how much dmg I deal. Less computer gamish more movie like. Cool!
Enemies - more variety is always good , different tactics and behaviours...balanced and somewhat smart for an AI ;)
Interrupts - being a great story driven RPG as it is...they fit the game pefectly...accentuating every drama unfolded
Every planet is different and unpredictable - a major change over ME1 and definitely a great one!

Character progression
Powers evolution - Yet another hard choice to make...making each character and effectively shepherds team more diverse and defining their purpose in the squad.
30 lvl cap -........Half of what ME1 had...Does Shepherd feel much less powerful though? He aint the Slayer of Geth no more. Good stuff!
New powers - great for ever gamer out there who wishes to show off with their favourite play style.

Graphics/Soundtrack
Remarkable skill and effort has been put into ME2 which shows all over the game. In awe and waiting for the beaut 3 is gonna be.
What happend to the Faunts and m4 part 2? Love the song during credits in ME1....no major performance this time.... a great soundtrack still ;)

Summary

Whether your a fan, a fanatic or new to the franchise you will either love ME2 or hate it. Comparing to ME1 way too frequent. The game retains the concept of a heavly story driven TTP involving the player on many levels. If you listen what the Docs of Bioware wanted to achieve I reckon the definitely managed to pull it off and more.
