Run the Setup.exe instead of the autorun.exe from disc one. That helped me install in English instead of German.

You are welcome. Reinstalling by Setup.exe was the only way I found. Even changing the registry settings from de to en did not help.

setup.exe is not working. I did it with ME1 but ME2 still allows the polish, czeh and hungarian to install. I'm hunagrian and nothing against localizing the game, but let me play in english please -_-

Reading in hungarian, watching in english, with an english manual is just bad... not to mention that some translation is just... not right. Don't have the edge, sounds lame, or bad, or can't even make out what it wants to be in the original.

Please... and english patch for those who wants that...

Could be that you miss the desired language pack. Check the data packs (don't know if the file organization is the same in the digital version): I have the files french.rar, german.rar, italian.rar and spanish.rar in the data folder on disc 1 and english.rar on disc 2. Those files correspond to the available language options in the Setup.exe.

I have the same problem as Enerael. The Czech translation is truly terrible. It makes me sick to see the how it ruins this great game. It looks like they just put it into google translator and the corrected the text to be grammatically correct without regard to the story.

Example how much they screwed it up:

When you open trade with a vendor and look at the price, you see in english:

500 credits

their translation to czech:

500 autoři

(As you probably know "credits" have two meanings "list of the people who worked on the game" and "currency used in game" ... and I am pretty sure that that vendor doesn't sell that gun for 500 lists of authors)

Its possible to change language without re-install if you have full installation of Mass Effect 2.

Here is what google says:

I have the german.rar, send me a PM for the link. Could someone in turn please trade the BIOGame_INT.tlk file from the \\Mass Effect 2\\BioGame\\CookedPC folder? I want to change the text to English. Thanks!

IT´S ALIVE!

found how to do it! on a Czech site suprisingly :D (well, our localization sucks the msot probably so that may be why :D)

if the way above doesnt work, download this file http://leteckaposta.cz/934316176/503 (its a Czech site but you should figure out how to download it :) )

copy it into CookedPC file

change the SKU.ini as sayd above to INT.

works for me :) i dont know about dubbing though, cause Czech localization are only texts. good luck :D

Enarael, your link doesn't work for me, pops up an upload page, that's all.

Horribly desperate to play this game in English. It's starting to get bloody ridiculous...

Click on the file name a few time and make sure to accept cookies, java script and redirects. Worked for me :-) Thanks! Send me a PM if it doesn't work.

For the digital deluxe download I had to choose language right after payment.

I was able to choose between English and German. English was like 3 or 4 languages (I think English, Russian, Polish and Czech) and German I don't know because I didn't opt for that one.

It was hinting at you being able to redownload the other language version if you changed your mind afterwards but I searched around a litle and couldn't find out how. Not that it's a problem for me (I like my English proper) just thought it worth mentioning.
