LOADING! The constant loading in this game can get really long. Especially when you're getting picked up by the Normandy, the loading time for me was at least 15-20 seconds.  Going to your cabin in the Normandy is probably the fastest load time. But going to Engineering or Crew Quarters takes about 10 seconds for me. IMO, I'd rather have the elevator system than these load times. And then when you are playing as Joker, you have to load going into those vent things. I'd be cool if we could actually go through them rather than having to go through an annoying load screen.

Installing the game hardly makes a difference. I don't want to sound crazy but, I wish BioWare would push out a patch to decrease load times. And, I also hope they fix those damn sound cut-offs. When I was Tuchanka, and I was talking to wrex, the sound completely cut off. There was no sound what so ever. About, 5 or so seconds later, the sound came back.

Also, the lip-sync was way off. When the Normandy invasion scene was over and I was on the Briefing room, Miranda was speaking, but her mouth was not moving until like 3 seconds later. I really hope BioWare fixes this.

PLEASE FIX THIS!!

My PC version has the same bug that Dragon Age had for me: the load times get absolutely ridiculous (like 2-3 minutes) after I play for ~3 hours, and I have to restart the game completely to get them back to normal.

The loading screens don't bother me. The "mission complete" screen is a greater evil. Shepard's story, as told by Cerberus memos. Somehow it breaks the immersion, I can't put my finger on why... oh wait, I can, it's because further distancing us from our avatar is the antithesis of the franchise. If ME is aiming for a cinematic experience then the mission summaries are like an usher reading a souvenir program to you during the intermission.

Yes, movies once had souvenir programs and intermissions, what of it?

I have to admit I don't have this issue, my game loads incredibly fast. The longer load time I've had was 10-15 seconds and usually it only takes 3-5 or so.

I installed the game to my 360 hard drive and the loading screens were never a bother. They were about the same length as they were in ME1, sometimes shorter.

If you're on PC make sure to do a disk defrag. Helps to keep things together and running at peak speeds.

Although the loading screens weren't that slow, still enjoyed Galactic News and squadie banter in the Citadel elevators. Now the one on the Normandy however... wanted to shoot myself everytime I had to ride it.

I never had long loads, never noticed a lip sync issue either.

I guess it's your PC, then. Load times are very fast for me, 5-6 seconds at most. Also, I don't have the "increased loading time" bug I had with DA the longer I played.

Oh, wait, let me guess, you play on xbox? I almost don't dare to say this, but, you know, xbox is a little bit dated right now...

Why you gotta be hating on the 360? I'm not entirely sure, but ME2 for the 360 is the highest rated game on it to date, not including beating sales records against the PC. Although I could be wrong.

I do miss elevators. It gave a chance for your party members to interact. OMG.. I miss that so much. I was waiting for my party members to interact but it never happened.. ? Unless I am doing it wrong. *SAD FACE*

They would only talk for about 5 seconds and then there was silence for the rest of the ride.

I was playing Fallout 3 last night, and i was thinking about Mass Effect's loading screens. Fallout 3's give you info about your character (such as humans killed, creatures killed, locks picked, etc) and tips on things. I dont understand why we can not have something like that.

If you haven't done it yet, make sure to take Tali and Garrus to the citadel together once you have them and walk around the stairwells a bit...I think you'll like it!  ;)

Are you talking about  the one where Garrus mentions how he missed their evelator talks? Hahaha, that had me rolling. The good old days, elevators. Good times.

I typically had pretty fast load times on my PC, usually 3-5 seconds except for Illium, Omegs and the citadel, those took about 5-10.

The elevator rides in ME1 were a greater threat than the actual reapers in my books. I would always cringe when i had to get in one, especially the one from c-sec to the docking bay. 3 mins of staring a at a wall

$3000, what kind of a machine are you building? I built mine about 2 years ago for $1300 so it's not like it's cutting edge technology right now.
