Hi all, while working on my Meet-the-Clan release of my Dalish Pride mod, one thing became glaringly obvious to me... I'm not a writer, it's just not something I can do, whilst I can come up with the occasional good line, I cannot do it consistently.

As such I've decided to recruit one if possible.  The high-concept statement of my mod (basic outline) as well as a more detailed outline can be found in the latest version of my Game Script (currently v1.4) which can be found in the files tab of my project.  Since my last update I've added introduction conversations with five of the NPCs (Velena, Ghartan, Janaiya, Falla and Darth) which I can give you access to if you wish to read them before applying for the position.

The role will include writing introduction conversations for all NPCs for the upcoming Meet the Clan release as well as writing conversations, fleshing out quests etc. for the rest of the module.  Suggestions on the rest of the elements of game would be appreciated as well.

I will leave applications open for a week (that is until 9th February) before choosing who will fill the role as otherwise I'll be likely to just accept the first application :P.  If there are no applications in this time I will leave them until I do get an application.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Isn´t it better to have more people working on this, I mean you can find one good writer and make him do all the work, but than if you have more, even average writers they can fill each others thoughts and find glitches and weak points of the story.
Just a thought :)

Thanks for the suggestion.

I' guess it comes down to whether the writers are willing to collaborate in such a way (as the mod isn't too big anyway) and how many applicants there are.

It's definitely something I'll have to suggest if I get multiple applicants that I like.

My suggestion for you, is not to have one person for all of that. Divide up.

What you need, based on your statement:

1 - Quest Writer

2 - 3 Dialogue Writers

(for dialogue writers, they each take a handful of characters, design them further, and write their lines)

1 - Main writer, makes sure everything fits together neatly with your story concepts and all the dialogue and side quests fit together neatly. This is more of a proof reader.

Thank-you for your input, again, it depends largely on how many people apply, but a set-up like that would be ideal.

A man can dream though :D
