When you're following the turian politician in the catwalks from Thane's loyalty mission, you can distract a worker you encounter by telling him there is a bomb...

"Hey, what are you doing here?"

Shepard: "Me? What are YOU doing here?!! This place is going to blow up!!"



But the best is, after the dialogue, the way Shepard laughs and says: "I can't believe that worked out!" Seriously, hearing Shepard laugh was incredible! She/he smiles much more than in the first game, feels more human. Fantastic.

Some of the facial expressions are so classic... like at the start of Miranda's loyalty quest, when you hit the renegade interrupt and kill the entire merc squad except for one Salarian by dropping a cargo container on them. That Salarian's expression is the purest "OMG that did NOT just happen" that I've ever seen in a game. Or when you choose "Shoot the hostage" to resolve the crisis at the end of Thane's loyalty quest, Kolyat's face is priceless.

I wish they'd put the same amount of work into Shepard's expressions. Most of the time s/he is just blank, though there are a few good ones. And for the love of God, don't have a male Shepard tell Miranda that you admire her body... cheesiest expression ever.

This along with my entire experience on the Krogan's world, where I became a prime mating candidate and had the audacity to headbutt some krogan's. Man I enjoyed that world the most. Love me some Krogans. Dwarves of the Mass Effect world.

The dialog in ME2 is amazing. Not just full sequences, but even the small physical nuances. Too many examples to cite. One I can recall off the top of my head is on the Citadel, when the C-Sec officer is sick of hearing the volus and gives him a brief crazy eye stare before admonishing him. I laughed out loud.

I love Shepard's expression when the Asari on Illium says that it's easier to have a relationship with humans 'because you just have to stick it out for a century until they die... no offense'.

Haha you just reminded me of another funny line between the C-Sec officer and the Volus.

Officer: "Sir I need you to calm down and take a deep breath..."
Volus: " YOU *gasp* MOCK *gasp* ME *gasp* HUMAN! JUST BECAUSE THE VOLK CLAN *gasp* !!!"
Officer: "It was a poor choice of words sir..."

LMAO, I thought I was the only one to catch that. The C-sec's expression when he gets interrupted was so unexpected, they nailed it. 

Another funny one was on Ilium when you encounter the Volus who's on red sand. When you finally get to the room with the Asari commander and you see the fight play out. After the Volus' attack fails he just waves his hand at her and walks off all casual before the Asari uses a biotic attack and knocks him into a crate...F'n classic haha.

Upon landing on Tuchunka post Grunt's Loyalty quest:



EDI: "Shepard it seems that Clan Urdnot's power holdings have increased significantly since you and Grunt killed the Thresher Maw.



There has also been 21 different requests from the female Krogan clan to mate with Grunt.



And one request to mate with Shepard..."

It seems nobody has mentioned it so far: I really liked the scene with Tali, Shepard and Jacob in the briefing room after you got Tali off that planet.

Tali's look she gave Jacob when he told her to introduce herself to EDI is just priceless. I uploaded the scene here:

I didn't really find it funny, but I did think that was absolutely fantastic and a perfect example of how great they did with little expressions like that this time around.
